Meat Prices on the Rise

Armstrong Economics Blog/Agriculture Re-Posted Oct 22, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

(Image from Statistics Canada: Prices for meat products rise year over year in September)

Canada’s CPI rose 4.4% YoY this September, according to Statistics Canada. Every major sector saw gains, but meat prices spiked 9.5%, marking the fastest pace of growth since April 2015. Canada’s Food Price Report for 2021, released in December 2020, predicted that meat prices would rise 4.5% to 6.5% in 2021, a drastic underestimate. Dr. Sylvain Charlebois, project lead and Director of the Agri-Food Analytics Lab at Dalhousie University warned people that they should develop “immunity” to rising prices. “Immunity to higher food prices requires more cooking, more discipline and more research. It’s as simple as that.” Gaslighting the people to believe they need to change their lives, rather than government change their policy, is at play once again.

Let me remind you that Bill Gates and others have been advocating for a move to 100% synthetic beef. But his logic only applies to the “rich” countries such as the US and Canada. “Weirdly, the US livestock, because they’re so productive, the emissions per pound of beef are dramatically less than emissions per pound in Africa,” Gates said in an interview in February 2021. “So no, I don’t think the poorest 80 countries will be eating synthetic meat. I do think all rich countries should move to 100% synthetic beef. You can get used to the taste difference, and the claim is they’re going to make it taste even better over time. Eventually, that green premium is modest enough that you can sort of change the [behavior of] people or use regulation to totally shift the demand.” This ties into the climate change agenda and the idea that starvation can help us shift to zero CO2. I should mention that the article added a disclaimer that Bill Gates is an “investor either personally or through Breakthrough Energy Ventures in several of the companies he mentions below, including Beyond Meats, Carbon Engineering, Impossible Foods, Memphis Meats, and Pivot Bio.”

Biden and Trudeau have made it known that they are on board with the climate change agenda, so that could be a preview of what is to come. Back to Statistic Canada’s December report – the forecast lists COVID-19 restrictions and the oil price war for rising food prices. Perhaps a certain pipeline could have assisted the fuel crisis. Yet, Biden rescinded the permit early in his presidency, and Trudeau feigned disappointment but did not push back on the matter. Basically, the two main components that the report notes are somewhat within government’s control.

How will this affect Canadian families? So far, the average food expenditure for a family of four is C$13,907, a 5% increase of C$695 compared to last year.

NIH Lies – Funded GoF from Bats in China

Armstrong Economics Blog/Tyranny Re-Posted Oct 21, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

Apparently, you can never hide the truth forever. A top NIH official has finally admitted in a letter that they indeed funded “gain-of-function” (GoF) research in Wuhan, China. EcoHealth Alliance conducted the study, headed by the questionable Peter Daszak, who they now confirm “failed to report” that they had created a coronavirus from bats in order to infect humans. This was finally admitted in a letter addressed to Rep. James Comer (R-KY), by NIH Principal Deputy Director Lawrence A. Tabak.

Fauci has called people liars for asking such questions. I can confirm that an ADVANCE warning was provided that a coronavirus was released. Besides Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum selling its investments in advance, there were also hedge funds who appear to have been allegedly TIPPED OFF. From the very outset, ALL of my sources were screaming that this was a deliberate act. I do not believe the US military or China is behind this plot. Big Pharma will make almost $100 billion next year from COVID. The companies plan to raise prices and have been getting politicians around the world to mandate vaccines.

A class-action lawsuit needs to be brought against Pfizer and crew NOT for injuries from the vaccine but for losses because of mandates that they have been lobbying. They are NOT immune to the law, and we need to see ALL the money handed out directly or indirectly to politicians around the world. They are NOT immune to fraud, and that overrules and statutory immunity that they paid to have. It is time to clean the House, Senate, and every political body worldwide.

Representative Thomas Massie Questions AG Merrick Garland About FBI Agents and Informants Participating and Agitating in January 6, DC Protest

During a House Judiciary Committee hearing today, Representative Thomas Massie questioned Attorney General Merrick Garland about FBI agents and possible FBI informants planted in the crowd in DC to organize events.

Within the questioning, Massie presented Garland with a picture of Ray Epps, a former leader with the Arizona chapter of Oath Keepers attempting to agitate the crowd.

Massie also played a video [also below], highlighting how Ray Epps was one of the key people trying to stir up trouble and create an agitated mob response. Ray Epps is an interesting possibility, because he was never arrested or charged by the FBI. As pointed out by Sean Davis on Twitter“At one point, the FBI had his picture up on its page of people it wanted to question (Photograph 16). Not only was he not arrested, his picture was quietly removed from the FBI “Capitol Violence” page.”

The issues of Ray Epps not being arrested; and then his photograph mysteriously being removed; can be reconciled by a hypothesis that Epps was actually working for and operating with instructions from the FBI itself. Not only would this not be surprising, it would actually track directly with coordinated activity the FBI is known forWATCH (prompted):

Below is the video that Thomas Massie shared….

“Anti-law enforcement violent extremists – may pose the “greatest threat” domestically this year and likely into 2022″, the narrative continues.

Perhaps I am wrong, but the only time I can recall in modern U.S. history that aggressive and illegal federal activity was halted mid-effort, was the example of the Clive Bundy ranch in 2014.  Armed citizens forced federal authorities, including the FBI, to back down.   In response to their loss, former AG Eric Holder vowed to revive “a domestic terrorism task force.”  Contemplate that response against the 2021 statements of the FBI saying domestic violent extremists (DVE’s) represent the greatest threat.  Can you see the connective tissue?

From the worldview of the DOJ/FBI, law-abiding U.S. citizens  – pushed to the point of taking up defensive arms against federal agents – are a threat.  Ergo, the newest definition of “Domestic Violent Extremists, or DVEs”, to define who the FBI view as their most substantive enemy.  Two years after the Bundy Ranch standoff, the FBI shot and killed LaVoy Finicum, fulfilling their promise to eliminate extremists as defined by their worldview.

The FBI was fully aware of the Boston Marathon bombers, the Tsarnaev brothers, before they executed their plot.  The FBI took no action.  The FBI knew about the San Bernardino terrorists, specifically Tasfeen Malik, and were monitoring her phone calls and communications before her and Syed Farook executed their attack killing 14 people and leaving 22 others seriously injured.  The FBI took no action.  The FBI knew Colorado grocery store shooter Ahmad Alissa before he executed his attack.  The FBI took no action.

The FBI knew in advance of the Pulse Nightclub shooter (Omar Mateen) and were tipped off by the local sheriff. The FBI knew in advance of the San Bernardino Terrorists (Tashfeen Malik). The FBI knew in advance of the Boston Marathon Bombers (the Tsarnaev brothers) tipped off by Russians.  The FBI knew in advance of the Parkland High School shooter (Nikolas Cruz). The FBI knew in advance of the Fort Hood shooter (Nidal Hasan), and the FBI knew in advance of Colorado grocery store shooter Ahmad al-Aliwi Alissa.  The FBI took no action.

Consider the case of the first recorded ISIS attack on U.S. soil in Garland, Texas in 2015.  The FBI not only knew the shooters (Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi) in advance, the FBI took the shooters to the venue and were standing only a few yards away when Simpson and Soofi opened fire.  Yes, you read that correctly – the FBI took the terrorists to the event and then watched it unfold.  “An FBI trainer suggested in an interview with “60 Minutes” that, had the attack been bigger, the agency’s numerous ties to the shooter would have led to a congressional investigation.”

Remember, shortly before the 2018 mid-term election, when Ceasar Syoc – a man living in his van – was caught sending “energetic material that can become combustible when subjected to heat or friction”, or what FBI Director Christopher Wray called “not hoax devices“?   Remember how sketchy everything about that was, including the child-like perpetrator telling a judge later than he was trying to walk back his guilty plea because he was tricked into signing a confession for a crime he did not create.

Or more recently, the goofball plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer that involved 18 suspects, twelve of them actually working for the FBI as the plot was hatched?  And we cannot forget the January 6th. DC protest turned insurrection effort, which is clearly looking like an FBI inspired and coordinated effort.

Have we forgotten the Atlanta “Olympic Park Bombing”, and the FBI intentionally setting up transparently innocent, Richard Jewel?

Then, there’s the entirety of the FBI conduct in “Spygate”, the demonstrably evident FBI operation to conduct political surveillance against Donald Trump using their investigative authorities; and the downstream consequences of a massive institutional effort to cover up one of the biggest justice department scandals in the history of our nation.   The original effort against Donald Trump used massive resources from the DOJ and FBI.  Heck, the coverup operation using the Mueller/Weissmann special counsel used more than 50 investigative FBI agents alone.

And of course, the FBI still had 13 extra agents available to rush to a NASCAR racetrack to investigate a garage door pull-down rope that might have been perceived as a noose; but the serial rape of hundreds of teenage girls, eh, not-so-much effort – even when they are standing in front of the FBI begging for help.

[At this point, I am increasingly convinced by evidence the FBI themselves are the perpetrators involved in sex trafficking, human smuggling and abduction as part of their operational mission.]

It is important to realize what exactly happened in the case of the Olympic gymnasts and the rape of hundreds of teenage girls.  When the victims and parents told the FBI about what Larry Nassar was doing, the FBI did not bungle the investigation.  The FBI did not investigate.   But worse…. after the parents kept coming back to the FBI to ask what was going on; and report that other parents were now reporting that new rapes and assaults were ongoing; the FBI told those parents an investigation was ongoing.  Except it wasn’t. The FBI was lying.

As the FBI was telling the victims they were investigating Larry Nassar, the FBI was doing no such thing.  The FBI was lying to the victims and their families.  The FBI was not taking any action whatsoever to address the multitude of claims against Nassar.

After the FBI was caught lying about their conduct, they then lied to the internal oversight, the OIG, about everything surrounding their conduct.    The FBI didn’t make a mistake, or drop the proverbial ball, they intentionally and specifically maintained the sexual exploitation of teenage girls by doing absolutely nothing with the complaints they received.   This is not misconduct, this is purposeful.

Then, as if to apply salt to the open wound of severe FBI politicization….what did the FBI do with the Hunter Biden laptop?

[Notice I’ve set the issue of the disappearing Huma Abedin/Anthony Weiner laptop –in the known custody of the FBI– over there in the corner, next to missing investigation of the Awan brothers.]

My point is this…

What the Federal Security Service (FSB) is to the internal security of the Russian state; so too is the FBI in performing the same function for the U.S. federal government.

The FBI is a U.S. version of the Russian “State Police”; and the FBI is deployed -almost exclusively- to attack domestic enemies of those who control government; while they protect the interests of the U.S. Fourth Branch of Government.  That is the clear and accurate domestic prism to contextualize their perceived mission: “domestic violent extremists pose the greatest threat” to their objective.

Put another way, “We The People”, who fight against government abuse and usurpation, are the FBI’s actual and literal enemy.

Let me be very clear with another brutally obvious example.  Antifa could not exist as an organization; capable to organize and carry out violent attacks against their targets; without the full support of the FBI.   If the FBI wanted to arrest members of Antifa, who are actually conducting violence, they could do it easily – with little effort.

It is the absence of any action by the FBI toward Antifa, that tells us the FBI is enabling that violent extremist behavior to continue.  Once you accept that transparent point of truth; then, you realize the FBI definition of domestic violent extremism is something else entirely.

The FBI is not a law enforcement or investigative division of the U.S. Department of Justice.  The FBI is a political weapon of a larger institution that is now focused almost entirely toward  supporting a radical communist agenda to destroy civil society in the United States.

Anyone who continues to push the fraudulent “honorable FBI rank and file talking point”, is, at this point in history, willfully and purposefully operating to deceive the American people on behalf of government interests who are intent on destroying us.  It is not a difference of opinion any longer.  It is a matter of just accepting what is staring us directly in the face.  People like Sean Hannity and Dan Bongino who continue pushing a lie that FBI agents -any FBI agents- are honorable people, are -by nature of their disconnect- purposefully manipulating their audience.

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland Refuses DOJ Ethics Review, Claims Conflict of Interest Ethics Rules Do Not Apply to Biden Administration

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 21, 2021 | Sundance | 235 Comments

Representative Mike Johnson (R-LA) questioned U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland about his clear conflict of interest today surrounding the Attorney General’s instructions for FBI agents to investigate parents who question school board curriculum.  Merrick Garland’s daughter is married to the co-founder of the Critical Race Theory educational material being purchased by the school boards. The exact CRT material being directly challenged by the parents Garland has instructed the FBI to investigate.

In a clear conflict of interest, Merrick Garland is using his office to protect the income and investments of his son-in-law’s business.  However, when questioned about this conflict today, Merrick Garland says he will refuse to accept any ethical review of his conduct.  WATCH:

BACKGROUND – U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland recently instructed the FBI to begin investigating parents who confront school board administrators over Critical Race Theory indoctrination material. The U.S. Department of Justice issued a memorandum to the FBI instructing them to initiate investigations of any parent attending a local school board meeting who might be viewed as confrontational, intimidating or harassing.

Attorney General Merrick Garland’s daughter is Rebecca Garland. In 2018 Rebecca Garland married Xan Tanner [LINK]. Mr. Xan Tanner is the current co-founder of a controversial education service company called Panorama Education. [LINK and LINK] Panorama Education is the “social learning” resource material provider to school districts and teachers that teach Critical Race Theory.

“By asking students to reflect on their experiences of equity and inclusion in school, education leaders can gather actionable data to understand and improve the racial and cultural climate on campus.” ~ Panorama Education, Xan Tanner Co-founder

Conflict of interest much?

Yes, the Attorney General is instructing the FBI to investigate parents who might pose a financial threat to the business of his daughter’s husband.

Yes, Merrick Garland’s daughter is married to the founder of the company who helps schools, teachers and staff deal with the modern challenges of “systemic racism” by “reimagining” the way to social learning “through an equity lens”. As you have seen in the linguistic judo presented by the education material providers in the past, that’s exactly what CRT education materials are about.

Last month Garland’s son-in-law raised money, at least $60 million, to expand their business operation.

September 2021 – Panorama Education, which has built out a K-12 education software platform, has raised $60 million in a Series C round of funding led by General Atlantic.

Existing backers Owl Ventures, Emerson Collective, Uncork Capital, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and Tao Capital Partners also participated in the financing, which brings the Boston-based company’s total raised since its 2012 inception to $105 million.

Panorama declined to reveal at what valuation the Series C was raised, nor did it provide any specific financial growth metrics. CEO and co-founder Aaron Feuer did say the company now serves 13 million students in 23,000 schools across the United States, which means that 25% of American students are enrolled in a district served by Panorama today.

Over 50 of the largest 100 school districts and state agencies in the country use its platform. In total, more than 1,500 school districts are among its customers. Clients include the New York City Department of EducationClark County School District in NevadaDallas ISD in Texas and the Hawaii Department of Education, among others.

Since March 2020, Panorama has added 700 school districts to its customer base, nearly doubling the 800 it served just 18 months prior, according to Feuer. […] Former Yale graduate students Feuer and Xan Tanner started the company in an effort to figure out the best way for schools to collect and understand feedback from their students (read more)

September 2021, Panorama Education, Xan Tanner, raised $60,000,000 to expand operations. October 4, 2021, Xan Tanner’s father-in-law, U.S. AG Merrick Garland, tells the FBI to investigate any potential parental interference/disruption that might impede his son-in-law’s business interests….

Alarming Wage Report Not Being Discussed in Financial Media – Blue Collar Wages DECREASED in Third Quarter, While Inflation Skyrocketed

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 21, 2021 | Sundance | 455 Comments

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released the third quarter review of average weekly wages [Main Data Here].  The results of the year-over-year comparison should alarm everyone.  This is a very serious data point that likely means we are in a recession, it just has not been quantified yet.

By now, everyone knows the term “stagflation”, which means a stagnant economy and large inflation (price increases), the easiest comparison is Jimmy Carter economic program in the 1970’s.  However, let me assure you what this latest BLS release foretells is not that.  This is far more serious than stagflation.  I am not an alarmist, but I am encouraging everyone to take this economic data seriously.

In this graphic I have modified the spread sheet to focus attention on the part that really matters. [Original Data Table 2 Here]  What you are seeing here is a comparison of weekly wages for the third quarter (July, Aug, Sept) of this year, compared to the weekly average wages in 2020:

Weekly wages went up a sum total of seven bucks [$7/1,000 = 0.7%] year over year.  THAT is ridiculously low.  However, worse yet look at all the categories of workers who saw an actual decline in wages.   This is not a decline in wage value, this is an actual decline in net wages earned.  WAGES HAVE DROPPED !

This is not only saying wages are failing to keep up with inflation, that part is beyond obvious, the data shows actual declines in wages for full time workers.  This is far more concerning, check that…. this is four alarm fire – running around the neighborhood naked and panicked level concerning… when you take actual declines in wages and factor in the September inflation numbers [Main Data Here].

Avg. weekly wages can drop if massive numbers of people enter the workforce in specific low paying jobs.  However, this is not that, because employment growth has been weak and minimal at best; missing all expectations to the downside.   The data on wages declining year-over-year is a genuine decrease in average wages earned.

♦ Now Factor Inflation – The inflation rate is stunning [Table 7 data Here].   Examples: Beef costs 20% more (year over year).  Bacon costs 20% more. Eggs cost 12% more. Peanut butter costs 10% more. Home heating oil costs 42% more.  Unleaded gasoline costs 43% more.  Natural gas costs 20% more.  Used cars are 24% more. The list goes on (SEE HERE).

I don’t have to tell you this, you can see it in your receipt at the grocery store and in the gas pumps at your local convenient store.  But the point is that massive inflation is eating our paychecks and the inflation is getting worse, not better.  Prices continue to skyrocket and the dollar continues to be weakened.

When you overlay the inflation, massive price increases in critical goods that middle-class Americans purchase every day; and when you overlay the massive energy cost increases and the cost of home heating oil this winter; and THEN you consider the reality that wages are actually lower than a year ago, well, it is a perfect storm.

CTH previously stated that from a macro perspective home values peaked in the last two weeks of May and first two weeks of June.   Other than institutional investors buying real estate because they need to hold a tangible asset; and some regions where home values are driven by COVID migration patterns; we do not see blue collar working class families purchasing homes, replacement vehicles or expensive durable goods.

Disposable income has been crushed in the past six months.  Now we are seeing data to quantify just how bad the issue is.   With wages declining and prices increasing, the likelihood the 3rd quarter GDP (July, Aug, Sept) will show a contraction is very high.  [Note Q3 GDP release is the first Friday in November]

This is beyond stagflation, because the economy is not only stagnant with inflation high, but also because actual weekly wages have dropped.  Overall Main Street consumer purchasing is now focused on staple goods like housing, food, fuel and energy costs.

Some have speculated that a “Great Reset” includes the collapse of the economy to such an extent that government will be the only source of financial stability.  I’m not sure if it will get to that level, but this latest BLS data release showing a contraction in wages for the blue collar bread winners is very alarming.

What is it like in your neighborhood?  What types of prices for gasoline and foodstuffs are you encountering?

Florida Ports are Open for Business

Armstrong Economics Blog/Inflation Re-Posted Oct 21, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis proudly announced: “Florida ports are open for business!” The Jacksonville Port Authority (“Jaxport”) is on board and has received a record number of containers at 1.4 million this fiscal year alone. Jaxport CEO Eric Green said that Florida is not experiencing the same congestion back up issues as California and New York ports. Additionally, Green said Jaxport has the space for additional freights and is welcoming ships to reroute to the Sunshine State.

While the Biden Administration begged the two largest ports in California to begin 24/7 operations, Jaxport has been running 24/7 for some time. “Not only is Florida open for more business, Florida has the critical infrastructure, essential manpower and additional capacity for more business,” AGX Freight Chief Operation Officer Ike Sherlock commented. Although some may point to logistical concerns and fuel costs, ships that are idling for nearly two weeks are losing money on both in addition to labor costs.

This could be a viable option to repair supply chain constraints. The only reason for the Biden Administration to avoid focusing on Florida’s ports capacity would be political.
