You may have read the article from the New York Post about the FBI enlisting a close insider to California Governor Gavin Newsom to wear a wire and record conversations within Newsom’s circle. However, did you overlay the timeline?
Remember, there is no possibility this FBI wired surveillance of Gavin Newsom would take place without the DOJ being completely aware of the operation. The person in the DOJ who would be responsible for both authorizing the operation and conducting the surveillance would have been Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco.
A sensitive FBI operation carrying this political consequence would never take place without the Deputy AG and Attorney General himself being aware. The timeline also tells a story.
According to The Post the wire surveillance was taking place as early as June 2024. This matters because Joe Biden officially withdrew from the seeking the Democrat nomination for President on July 21st, 2024.
Newsom was under political surveillance prior to Biden’s withdrawal. This puts context on the plan to replace Biden with then VP Kamala Harris.
What does then Deputy AG Lisa Monaco and then VP Kamala Harris have in common? They were both key figures within the Barack Obama operation.
Lisa Monaco was Obama’s legal shield; Kamala Harris was hand selected for the VP position in 2020 by Barack Obama and James Clyburn.
The stories of the positioning and pressure for Joe Biden to withdraw are well documented. The insider operation was so transparent that many of us called it out long before Biden was replaced with Kamala Harris.
At the time many people suspected that Gavin Newsom would be the only challenger to Kamala Harris if Biden were to withdraw with sufficient time before the DNC nomination, in Chicago – Obama’s hometown and center of his political apparatus; the same apparatus that previously pushed Kamala Harris into position.
What the story actually shows is how the FBI was weaponized by the Obama ideologues within Main Justice to structure a mechanism to stop any Newsom challenge to Harris. Unfortunately, it appears no one is noticing that aspect.
New York Post […] The revelation [Alexis Podesta] was wearing a wire as far back as June 2024 explains why a swath of Sacramento political insiders and lobbyists were stunned to receive FBI letters last fall informing them that their phone calls had been intercepted during the investigation — despite many having little or no connection to Williamson.
“Alexis wore a wire, and Dana did not,” said McGregor Scott, Williamson’s lawyer and a former US attorney for the Eastern District of California, which is now investigating the Newsoms. (read more)

The funniest part of the MSNBC report about the issue is their claim that Pulte has not been in office long enough to know who the Deep State embeds are. “I have a real question of how he would know this. This isn’t a guy who is familiar with intelligence,” said the former official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, citing concerns about retaliation. “How is he going to get to the bottom of this and rely on any information with a matter of fidelity? It would be like me taking over a hospital and firing dozens of surgeons in a matter of days.” {source}
How could Pulte possibly know who to fire, they lament. The likelihood of former DNI Tulsi Gabbard and current CIA Director John Ratcliffe coordinating with ADNI Bill Pulte to clean house, just isn’t something all these former intelligence officials can fathom.
These silos are supposed to work independently to protect themselves, they likely think. The system is designed to keep each agency from coordinating action against the lower-level operatives, especially the liaison offices inside the ODNI. Bill Pulte is doing something they are just not prepared for.
It’s a little funny when you think about it. However, there were people in the comments section on CTH yesterday who were perplexed about Tulsi Gabbard visiting Washington DC to give a speech specifically about this issue. Perhaps people will realize there is considerable coordination and transferring of information as this transition is underway.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence receives it from the CIA, the National Security Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency and 15 other agencies. He said that CIA Director John Ratcliffe, for example, would know of such a problem.
“If there really was any serious withholding of information, the guy who would know this is Ratcliffe,” said one of the former officials. “He is in the inner circle. He and his analysts would be the first ones to know. If anyone would know about that alleged claim, it would be him.”
A spokesperson for the CIA did not immediately respond to MS NOW’s request for comment.
A third former senior intelligence official dismissed the idea that intelligence officials would ever engage in such conduct.
“The intelligence community is comprised of committed professionals,” the former official said. “This is a fantasy. It only hurts U.S. national security, and it’s helpful to Russia, China and Iran.” (read more)
Speaking on a Defending Democracy podcast with her lawyer Marc Elias, Hillary Clinton said Wednesday, “I mean, I hope there are career and even political appointees, in various of the agencies, that are slow-walking or refusing to share information with Pulte.” Yet, here is MSNBC saying the withholding of intelligence never happens. Go figure.
WASHINGTON – […] Pulte, whom President Donald Trump tapped as acting spy chief in June, sent out notices of termination on Thursday to dozens of intelligence officials, MS Now reported, citing an intelligence official who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of reprisal.
The intelligence official told MS Now that the Trump administration was removing officials “who they believe are deep state” and who have allegedly failed to provide complete pictures of available intelligence. (MORE)
Former Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, gives a speech outlining the mechanics of the Deep State and how the people within it operate.
At around 3:30 of the presentation, Gabbard gives a specific example of the attitude of the employees on assignment to the ODNI. Obviously, I am not certain, but Tulsi seems to be describing the FBI liaison desk within the DNI as she explains how this federal government employee refuses to participate in the DNI request. This next storyline needs context to understand appropriately what just happened.
In February of this year, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz travelled for the first time in his business and life to China. Merz a lawyer by training, worked in business and corporate life doing mergers and acquisitions (Blackrock), but had never been to China. Despite his upward climb in German politics, his worldview was always dominated by an internal acceptance that Germany was the industrial heart of the European Union.
Chancellor Merz believed that Germany was unrivaled within industrial manufacturing, particularly in aeronautics and mechanical engineering (auto sector). So, when Merz went to China -while he held no trade capabilities as an outcome of the EU collective controlling everything- he also had no idea what Chinese industrial capacitary actually looked like.
To say Chancellor Merz was stunned by the advancements in robotics and industrial manufacturing within China would be an understatement. Merz was shocked not only by the technological capability, but also by the Chinese industrial work ethic and capabilities of the workforce.
Merz returned to Germany and immediately began discussing how Chinese industrial capacity was far beyond anything he previously estimated. Merz was shook. His reaction was, essentially, the #1 industrial nation within the EU confronting a reality of years of industrial complacency. Immediately he began talking about how things in Germany must change; how the German workforce must immediately start to get serious about productivity and production capacity.
That was late February and early March.
Today, Friedrich Merz announced a series of reforms, radical modifications within the German industrial workforce.
German workers are no longer allowed to call in sick. The German government will now adopt a policy to make sure all workers report to their jobs, or else.

The German workforce may not like this at all.
There is a certain, shall we say, “Fascist irony,” when you think about mandated private sector productivity compliance and the relationship with official government policy.
Germany’s coalition government has announced a wide-ranging package of pension, tax and labor reforms aimed at boosting economic growth and strengthening competitiveness. Chancellor Friedrich Merz said the measures would create jobs, reduce bureaucracy and preserve key social welfare protections.
The 34-point plan includes income tax relief for low- and middle-income households as well as a gradual increase in the retirement age.

I’ve said it before, U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra is the most underpaid U.S. emissary sent to a hostile nation and constantly surrounded by threats, bitterness, anger and hatred.
It would be easier to be U.S. ambassador to North Korea.
There is so much nuance inside this interview, it is remarkable.
Ambassador Hoekstra tries in his best diplomatic form to tell the two Canadians Michael LeBlanc and Dr. Sylvain Charlebois about the underlying nature of the U.S-Canada trade conflicts. However, in typical Canadian fashion both indoctrinated interviewers are curiously stumped by the points Hoekstra presents. I am prompting this one because you also need to see the body/facial language. WATCH:

Canada’s greatest strategic weakness is what Canadians call their greatest strength, pride.
There is a big difference between being proud and being prideful. The Canadian worldview is based on the latter.
♦ The U.S. and Mexico pick up trade agreement discussions on July 20, 2026. Not long after July 20th, sometime within the first two weeks of August there is a high probability the next shock to the Canadian system will come from Trump. However, it depends on how far out on the ledge cult leader Mark Carney is willing to take his believers.
On/around the end of August we will enter the ‘Trump playing with them‘ phase, just like Trump played with them in Jan, Feb, March ’25 over the 51st state stuff. President Trump will create turmoil because he holds all the cards for when he triggers the next sequence of events.
Essentially, the landscape is already set up. The bleachers are already built. The venue is already selected. The prideful Canadians have no concept of it.
At a point determined by Trump he will invite them into the gauntlet. There is no escape and only one way in.
Carney sits down at the table, Trump announces his demands, Carney balks, Trump glances to Greer, Greer hands Carney the formal exit paperwork and then suddenly everyone around Carney realizes what just happened. Trump set up a CUSMA trap.
A six-month countdown clock now ticks loudly. Trump repeats his demands. Carney looks around at his trade delegation, then asks for a few moments. They leave to huddle….
In the Canadian conference room, someone tells the group a six-month exit is now active. The walls are slowly closing.
If no terms are accepted, in six months all U.S. trade with Canada is immediately laissez-faire, no trade agreement backstops anything, meaning every trade is subject to the sectoral whims of the USA commerce department to outline the terms.
Carney asks his team what is happening. Trump tells them to take all the time in the world to think about it, and to give Jamieson or Howard a call if they have questions.
Trump and Greer then hold a press conference, telling the world the formal exit paperwork has now been issued. However, the U.S and Mexico already have a bilateral deal outlined and ready to begin, so U.S-Mexico trade is seamless. The only issue is Canada.
The following day analysts, economists, banking and finance experts begin running the numbers for Canada…… A slow and unstable Canadian economy collapse begins first with a run on the banks by Canadian dollar holders. Everyone needs to buy USD.
Europe and the U.K try to step in to assist by buying Canadian treasuries, but the risk is astronomical.
75% of Canada’s economy is based on trade that is now uncertain.
Suddenly the team around Carney look at things differently. They realize Canada doesn’t sell 75% of their output to the USA; the USA buys 75% of Canadian output.
In every economic relationship, the seller has no leverage. All leverage belongs to the buyer.
The seller can sell anything, but without buyers they are nothing. In a laissez-faire system suddenly U.S. buyers start to dictate terms and prices. The seller has no option. Life inside Canada is FUBAR.
The Chinese move quickly, buying up Canadian holdings for pennies on the ever-diminishing CAD.
The ‘shoe drops’ sometime after July 20th.
Canada cannot see the gauntlet.
♦ Canadians will willingly want China to buy their assets instead of Americans.
Why? Because the Canadian identity is defined by their main focus on ‘not being American.’ It’s all they know.
I can tell you specifically how it will materialize if you want, because I have already gamed this out. You might even make some money if you pay attention.
Toyota and Honda will do exactly what they have said they will do; they will exit Canadian manufacturing.
With full approval by Carney and the Canadian government, BYD and Geely will step in, purchase and take over those manufacturing plants to create vehicles in Canada (pennies on the CAD).
Canada will cheer because they will believe they just saved all those auto sector jobs. However, a few reality months later and suddenly it is all Chinese industrial operations bringing in Chinese workers to retool the factories.
Canada will end up paying unemployment benefits to Canadian workers, while Chinese factory workers prepare the facilities to manufacture BYD and Geely autos. The Canadian people will grit their teeth, yet do nothing because they accept their provincial government has already been corrupted by Chinese money.
Appealing almost entirely to an audience that doesn’t recognize the issues that really matter, Fox News has the opportunity to discuss U.S. trade policy with Jamieson Greer yet flubs the entire interview.
Instead of asking about the USMCA withdrawal announcement and the ongoing trade discussions with Mexico, the Fox News pundits misdirect Greer’s expertise and ask questions about the jobs report, the Federal Reserve and the Democrat Socialists of America in elections. Seriously, no joke.
When serious people remark that Fox News is nothing except propaganda for out of touch ‘boomers’ (a pejorative), this Fox News interview is a case study in why many people now hold that opinion. It’s difficult to argue they’re wrong.
That said, within the one minute where trade was actually discussed, USTR Jamieson Greer points out that many Democrats and many Republicans are completely in favor of eliminating the USTR and resetting the baseline of North American trade. This is a key point, because within the economic policy issues the left-right dynamic should not be the prism that matters. Remember, MAGA and the Bernie Bros agreed on 80% of the economic problem. President Trump makes note of the inaugural flight and discusses the airplane, then begins to answer questions on current events. At 10:00 of the video, President Trump is asked about Acting DNI Bill Pulte and his ability to review and declassify further intelligence information of material interest to the American people. 😉 President Trump says “We’re gonna declassify almost everything … I told [Bill Pulte], ‘You can declassify whatever you want.’” WATCH:

Several people have inquired about a Paul Sperry article [SEE HERE] and if CTH had any insight. While I generally refrain from discussion based on speculation, perhaps enough time has passed where my preferred lack of attention on the matter provides room for a quick outline.
Within the Sperry article, this fragment surfaces:
…”These well-placed sources also say that diGenova has cultivated several new witnesses, including whistleblowers from the intelligence community and the FBI, and that his team has also uncovered significant new evidence, including a massive FBI document spanning several hundred pages that reportedly exposes new malfeasance in the bureau’s probe of Trump’s alleged ties to Russia, codenamed Crossfire Hurricane, which was begun before the 2016 election.”…
“New malfeasance” is not exactly how I would characterize the likely described material.
What Sperry’s sources seem to be outlining based on description, likely pertains to the FBI contractor issue from 2015 and 2016 where access to the NSA database was defensively investigated after the NSA compliance officer raised flags about unauthorized use.
You may remember that somewhere between 1,000 and 9,999 illegal searches were conducted repeatedly using the same identifiers, between November 2015 and April 2016. The source of those searches was attributed to “FBI contractors.”
The period in question (’15 – ’16) when combined with the description given by FISA Court Presiding Justice Rosemary Collyer [first graphic above], indicated the queries were political in nature – conducted on GOP Presidential candidates; essentially, political surveillance.
The discovery of the process triggered the NSA Director to question the FBI Director about the nature and purpose of the FBI contractor queries. That questioning triggered a defensive response from the FBI to justify what had taken place.
Later, as part of Office of Inspector General Michael Horowitz review of unauthorized violations of the FISA (702) process, the OIG reviewed the FBI use of contractors to include the issue originally outlined in early 2017. [second graphic above]
The document(s) described to Paul Sperry would appear to be the result of the FBI internal review and justification, as well as explanations given to the OIG. That “several hundred-page FBI reports” is apparently now under diGenova review.
