Ron DeSantis Drops to Fifth Place in Latest New Hampshire Polling

Representative Victoria Spartz (R-IN) is Ukranian by heritage, and understandably she is a full supporter of Ukraine (and NATO) in the battle against Russia.  That said, what Ms Spartz notes in her comments and questioning of Attorney General Merrick Garland is very accurate.

Representative Spartz puts the context of the citizen fear of the soviet era KGB into the context of American fear of the weaponized DOJ.  “People are scared of our government,” she outlines.  The comparison is accurate in context and history.  However, as Spartz goes on to share, the end result is horrible for Ukraine, as the constituents in her community will no longer trust the word of the American government.  WATCH:

Ron DeSantis Drops to Fifth Place in Latest New Hampshire Polling

Posted originally on the CTH on September 20, 2023 | Sundance

One week ago, a poll of South Carolina voters showed that Ron DeSantis had dropped to fourth place with only 9% support, far behind President Trump at 46% {LINK}. Today a poll out of New Hampshire shows DeSantis dropping to fifth place with 10% support. {LINK}  To give some scale to the collapse, this represents a drop of more than 75% of DeSantis’ original support since mid-January of this year. [From 43% to 10%]

The New Hampshire University Poll [SEE DATA HERE] also shows, while he doesn’t carry much support, the very specific demographics of DeSantis supporters are old, rich, white men who listen to Buck Sexton on the radio. This demographic pattern repeats in just about every poll; it’s quite remarkable.  I will admit to finding it funny, when the predictions from a year ago show up with such clarity.

[Data Source]

New Hampshire – Thirty-nine percent of likely primary voters’ support Trump, followed by entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy (13%), former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley (12%), former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (11%), and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (10%). Six percent support South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, 2% support former Vice President Mike Pence, and 1% or less support North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum (1%), former Texas Congressman Will Hurd (1%), former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson (<1%), or talk show host Larry Elder (<1%). Less than 1% support another candidate while 6% are unsure whom they would support. (more)

Donors Retreat from DeSantis, Advance Toward Trump

Posted originally on the CTH on September 19, 2023 | Sundance

The Sea Island group must have a very difficult time accepting that all of the efforts to advance with Ron DeSantis are not succeeding.  They are going through the five stages of grief, with each starting to accept their ability to influence election outcomes has collapsed in the face of unrelenting support for President Donald Trump.

As the DeSantis operation enters the desperation phase, familiar to those who remember the moments in 2016 when Cheeeto-faced Glenn Beck was pleading with the evangelical community to support Ted Cruz, we see the purchased influencer crowd becoming more toxic, hate filled and vitriolic.  Alas, their angst is as shallow as their principles.  The reality is their bank accounts dictate their constitutional values. It’s all very pathetic and predictable.

On the opposite side, those who don’t play the pretending game; those who carry the pragmatic working class values that find optimal solutions to challenges; that tribe of deliberate and steadfast honest warriors; that group continues to push forward, supporting President Trump.  It is an unrelenting force of MAGA, strengthened by the adversity of opposition, tested in the battlespace grit and determination, that team is winning.  Be of good cheer.

When we first saw the primary elements of their attack approach we said, the new sons and daughters of this American revolution are going to look completely different.  The Green Dragon Tavern may be a church, a lunchroom, a picnic table or a tailgate.  The assembly of the like-minded is not focused on the labels of the assembled, we just don’t have time for that.  The MAGA mission is the purpose… The fight is wherever it surfaces…. Delicate sensibilities must be dispatched like a feather in a hurricane, and relentless we push forward.

As we share in a reminder every morning, “This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can’t be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won’t be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.” I can assure you of only this, if we do not stand victorious it will not be because Donald J Trump left anything on the battlefield.

2024 is MAGA burning the ships behind us.  This one is for all the marbles. This is not a place where tepid half-measures and gentlemanly pastels will suffice.  Get right with God, put on the armor, absorb the focus of fighting like the third monkey on the ramp to Noah’s ark, and get comfortable being uncomfortable. {Direct Rumble Link}

DeSantis Drops to Fourth Place in South Carolina

Posted originally on the CTH on September 14, 2023 | Sundance

It’s a Washington Post-Monmouth poll {DATA HERE} of South Carolina.  However, keep in mind that Ron DeSantis has spent a lot of time in the Palmetto State and was very confident of his ability there.

The poll found that 46 percent of potential Republican primary voters in South Carolina support President Trump while the state’s former governor, Nikki Haley, stands in second place at 18 percent. Ten percent support Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and 9 percent back Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. {media report}

[Source DATA]

The split approach appears to be working. However, the recipient of the split is collapsing.

Abandon hope all ye conniving GOP who choose to challenge MAGA.  We The People are in charge now.  We want a reckoning.

Donald Trump isn’t just our candidate, he’s our murder weapon – and the GOP is our target. We good now?

THE TELL – DeSantis Shows His Small Minded Controlled GOPe Status During CBS Interview

Posted originally on the CTH on September 13, 2023 | Sundance

This is a good one to bookmark for future reference.  I have asserted confidently that Ron DeSantis is an empty vessel who carries the thoughts and opinions of others as his own.  If you follow him closely you will see key moments when this is visible, one of them happened today.

In this CBS interview with Nora O’Donnell (a deep state DOS narrative engineer), notice the framework of the first question that triggers the downstream consequence of nonsense.  This is what happens when narrative engineers are working on points that are based entirely around cognitive dissonance.

The first question frames the subject matter:

“If Putin gives the North Korean’s advanced nuclear technologies, how would you respond to that threat?”

Now, think about this carefully, using your non-pretending intellectually honest brain.

North Korea is, and has long been, a proxy province of China.  No one of any reasonable intellect would disagree with that statement.  However, Russia needs to be framed as the current danger to our national interests.  The question itself is ridiculous.   Russia giving “advanced nuclear technologies?”  How about the decades of advanced nuclear technologies that are part of the free flow between Beijing and Pyongyang?  China has already given North Korea advanced nuclear technologies.

Arguably, and with mountains of circumstantial evidence to back up the assertion, China is in full control of the North Korean nuclear weapons systems. If there’s one level of military assistance that North Korea doesn’t need, it’s anything around their nuclear weapon systems.  Yet, notice how DeSantis just takes the narrative as presented, and then runs with it going even further as the follow-up questions are posed.

DeSantis goes on to say he would preemptively strike North Korea if he thought their nuclear capabilities were realized.  That is just buckets of geopolitical nonsense, that only comes from the mind of a man who has no intellectual honesty to understand or articulate the nature of the real relationship between China and their proxy province.

The whole interview goes downhill from that point, with DeSantis even pretending the USA does not currently conduct military operations inside Mexico – which we do.  As Mexican President AMLO has frequently outlined, albeit with increased recent emphasis, the Defense Dept and CIA are consistently operating cross-border incursions into Mexico as part of a network relationship with the cartel leaders.

This level of pretending might suit the professional political class, but in reality, there are too many people now fully aware of what the truth is.  Ron DeSantis is framing a foreign policy in direct alignment with the Bush, Cheney, Deep State worldview.

Also notice that Nora O’Donnell does not touch the Ukraine issue, the #1 foreign policy point that is slowly bringing a frustrated America to boil.  That omission is not accidental.

Nikki Haley Positioned to Replace Ron DeSantis

Posted originally on the CTH on September 12, 2023 | Sundance

The DeSantis campaign is imploding.  The most recent admission from the team managing DeSantis was their shifted goalposts for a second place in Iowa.  Additionally, there is now friction between Ron DeSantis and Jeff Roe (head of Never Back Down PAC), if the inside campaign leakers are to be believed.

There is an element of total understanding to the frustration about the bitter pill DeSantis is being forced to swallow.  I mean, think about it, the management of Ron DeSantis didn’t just posit the 2024 campaign in the last year, this has been a long thought-out strategy going back much further.  In retrospect, the DeSantis ’24 operation tracks to sometime in 2018; at least that’s when DeSantis had to give some formal nod of willingness.

Now, Ron DeSantis has to watch as Nikki Haley is shifted into his lane by the professional apparatus that controls the lane alignments.  Ron can’t win, that is transparently obvious, and he is now being bumped down in priority as the financial control people start to push Nikki Haley.  Seeing this must be driving Ms. Casey bananas.

CNN ran a puff piece on Nikki Haley recently, along with a poll showing that only she could defeat Joe Biden.

Before laughing, it’s wise to remember what CNN represents in the game of political media.  CNN is the official state media of the U.S. State Dept.  Nikki Haley was former UN ambassador and aligns with the worldview of the CNN control room and executive offices.

Haley is an empty vessel.  She has no true positions of her own and uses the headlines and sentiment of the moment to determine her outlooks.  This is why she previously said she would not run against Donald Trump, and said Bubba Wallace was a victim of horrible NASCAR racism.  These might sound disconnected but remember, at the time each statement was made – these were shallow public opinion constructs, not core beliefs.  Nikki Haley has no core values; she is a consultant’s dream candidate who will morph to the positions of the handlers.

ABC is now coming out with another puff piece to support Haley, in a boost to the narrative started by CNN.

[…] A FiveThirtyEight/Washington Post/Ipsos survey of likely Republican voters, taken before and after the primary debate, also showed Haley gaining ground: She was ranked as doing the third best, behind only Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy — but fewer people also said she did the worst.

“What you saw on the debate stage is what I’ve done my entire life: I speak hard truths,” Haley said afterward during a Parents for Nikki Town Hall in Manchester, New Hampshire. (more)

“Hard Truth” Example

I’m not sure how far the professional political class will try to push Haley, but it will fail miserably – perhaps even worse than DeSantis, although that is quite a downward slope to exceed.  Nikki Haley, more akin to Mitt Romney in a skirt, is perhaps the least authentic person in the campaign, next to Ron DeSantis.

I’m not going to go too deep on this effort yet, because quite frankly I have written so much about Nikki Haley and what should be expected, that I just end up repeating myself.  However, I’m going to link to two previous articles below that I would suggest you re-review.  One was written FIVE YEARS AGO, predicting this 2024 moment, the other was written four years ago as a supplement and follow up.

If there was ever an easy candidate to predict, that would be Nikki Haley.   Read the prior articles and you will see exactly what I mean.

[This written in 2018] – [This written in 2019]

Everything outlined in those articles, much of which was predicting this exact moment, is surfacing right now.

The Big Club and Bush group support Nikki Haley, that’s why we are seeing generous support from ABC and CNN.  Yes, it really is that simple.

Astroturf Fakery Has Consequences – DeSantis Team Now Says Second Place in Iowa Is Good Enough

Posted originally on the CTH on September 9, 2023 | Sundance

With the latest poll in Iowa showing President Trump with a commanding 51/14 lead over Ron DeSantis, the people in control of the DeSantis operation are now lowering the bar to say a second-place finish is good enough to continue.

Team DeSantis has essentially camped out in Iowa for the past several weeks, pulling all their resources from other states as the polling for their candidate has consistently gotten worse.

The goal of reboot 4.0 was to focus heavily on Iowa and to a lesser extent New Hampshire.  However, after weeks of campaigning in Iowa, the polling has only gone backward.  DeSantis has lost half the support he originally carried as the Florida Governor tours the state.

(Politico) – […] “We believe it’s already a two-person race,” a top DeSantis campaign official granted anonymity to discuss strategy told POLITICO. “But the reality is, on the ballot there are other choices, and our goal is to get this down to a two-person race on the ballot, especially as we head into South Carolina and beyond into March.”

Speaking ahead of DeSantis’ weekend trip to Iowa, the official said “a strong second-place showing gives us an opportunity to go in[to] New Hampshire and show success.”

Expectations-setting is a tried and true element of every campaign, and DeSantis’ team remains bullish about his ability to make up ground. But coming four months before the first votes are cast in Iowa, the sentiments from the DeSantis campaign official reflect the yawning gap that’s emerged between the Florida governor and former President Donald Trump in both national and Iowa polls.

DeSantis’ operation has looked to Iowa as a springboard. Shortly before the first primary debate, the head of his allied super PAC, Never Back Down, privately told donors that they anticipated a win in the state. (read more)

With the increased desperation and the retreat of big donors, the DeSantis operation really needs the Bush network to step up big for the Fox Business Debate scheduled this month at the Reagan Library in California.  Dana Perino has moved into position.

The Bushes, Prescotts, multinationals and professional Republicans funded by Sea Island billionaires will now start to overemphasize the “chaos Trump” narrative, in order to wear down the psyche of the base Republican voters.  They really need mental fatigue to erode the Trump support, and you can see the efforts taking place in the alignment of narratives shared by the Democrats and the Republicans.

The big problem the GOPe face is that now the larger voting base have caught on to the “illusion of choice” playbook.  Ordinary voters can see how the schemes are being constructed, and the support for Donald Trump continues to grow.  This was evidenced in the Iowa -vs- Iowa State football game earlier today.

Crowds in the Iowa football sphere were heavily enthusiastic about President Trump, and Ron DeSantis at the same event seemed even smaller than usual.  Whoever keeps coming up with these efforts to compare and contrast is really not helping DeSantis at all.  The Florida Governor looks small and silly despite being supported and carried around by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds.

Wow. Rough day for @RonDeSantis who is having a tailgate at the Iowa versus Iowa State football game today. Tons of people have already arrived in their Trump jerseys and Trump hats!

After He Camped Out in Iowa with Emphasis, Vote Support for Ron DeSantis Collapses to 14%

Posted originally on the CTH on September 8, 2023 | Sundance

The Ron DeSantis and Jeff Roe strategy was pretty simple.  Push all other states to lower concentration and focus extremely hard on Iowa.   All resources were shifted into Iowa for Ron DeSantis and the Florida governor almost moved his entire family there to campaign heavily.  DeSantis has promised to campaign in every one of the 99 counties in Iowa.

That said, a weird thing keeps happening.  The more that voters are exposed to Ron DeSantis, the more they pull away from supporting him.

This is something I shared last year when I said DeSantis was going to run this year.

The issue is honesty and authenticity, DeSantis has neither.  As you read this Ron DeSantis is trying out the latest control script against Trump by saying he would have done a better job in the spring of 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic, and he would have fired all of the NIH, CDC, FDA and NIAID health advisors in U.S. government, including Anthony Fauci.

The problem with that campaign talking point is that it’s pure nonsense, and every intellectually honest person knows that.   DeSantis would never have done anything any different, because no one had any concept of what this COVID-19 issue was really all about.  DeSantis is using hindsight and armchair quarterbacking, and that comes out as pure fakery – because it is.  DeSantis has no honesty or authenticity.  That’s not going to change, and Iowa voters are seeing it up close.

The latest polling from Iowa State University shows this problem in real time. [LINK]  AMES, IA — Donald Trump far outpaces other Republican presidential nominees in an Iowa State University/Civiqs poll, which surveyed 1,128 registered voters from Sept. 2-7. The results are the first in a five-part, monthly poll intended to track shifting voter perspectives before the Iowa caucuses on Jan. 15, 2024.

Among the participants, 434 said they “definitely” or “probably” will attend the Iowa Republican Caucuses and identified themselves as Republican or independent. Just over half (51%) of these likely Republican caucus-goers picked former President Trump as their top choice. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis trailed in second place with 14%, followed by former U.N. Ambassador and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley (10%) and entrepreneur and political commentator Vivek Ramaswamy (9%). (more)

Murdoch Sad – WSJ Post Debate Poll Shows Support for DeSantis Collapsing, Pre-Debate 24%, Post-Debate 13%

Posted originally on the CTH on September 2, 2023 | Sundance

Rupert Murdoch has big sad as his Wall Street Journal outlet admits their poll looks terrible for Ron DeSantis.  [WSJ HERE] Currently with only 13% support, DeSantis’s position has collapsed since April, when WSJ showed 24% backed him.

Additionally, Chris Christie and Mike Pence are the two candidates with the highest unfavorable rating by Republican voters, -73% and -63% respectively.  Respondents show their opinion worsening mostly due to Christie and Pence position against frontrunner Donald Trump.

It looks like the Wall Street and RNC Big Club donors are now eyeing Nikki “test the wind” Haley, as the best option to try and stop Godzilla Trump. This shift likely explains why DeSantis’s campaign operative Jeff Roe was begging donors for another $50 million last week, as discovered in leaked audio from meetings with them during the high-brow events in Wisconsin.

Wall Street Journal – […] At 13% support, DeSantis’s position has collapsed since April, when 24% backed him in a slightly different field of candidates tested by the Journal.

GOP primary voters believe businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and former Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina, far more than any other candidates, exceeded expectations in the televised Aug. 23 GOP debate among eight of Trump’s rivals. But those impressions so far haven’t turned into significant ballot support, with Haley the first choice of 8% and Ramaswamy at 5%.

Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, who has cast himself as an affable warrior for conservative causes, has made little headway after three months of campaigning, drawing 2% support.

Republicans nationally are rejecting the candidates who most sharply criticize Trump: Former Govs. Chris Christie of New Jersey and Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas drew 3% and 1% support, respectively. Christie is the most unpopular GOP candidate tested, with 73% holding an unfavorable view of him.

The image of former Vice President Mike Pence, who turned aside Trump’s request to block Congress from certifying the 2020 vote, has tarnished among primary voters. In April, 54% viewed him favorably. Now, 30% view him favorably, and 63% have an unfavorable view. He’s the choice of 2% for the party nomination.

“DeSantis collapsed,” said Bocian. “The one candidate who back in April really seemed to be a potential contender, seemed to have a narrative to tell, has totally collapsed, and those votes went to Trump.” (read more)

Last point… Watch Noem

Originally the Sea Island group had a DeSantis/Noem ticket as their best outcome. Noem now looks to be positioning herself as the 2024 Mike Pence VP option.

Remember, whoever is VP in 2024 will likely be the nominee in 2028. The Big Club always plays the long game.

Stay elevated.

Stay unemotional.

Stay strategic in outlook.

McConnell will not last.  South Dakota Senator John Thune will replace him.

Thune and Noem, compatriots from South Dakota, would have a Koch inspired nudge-nudge/wink-wink outlook to undermine Trump policy agenda 2025 through 2029.

Accept things as they are, not as we would wish them to be. This is a generational battle. We didn’t get into this mess in one election cycle, and we are not going to get ourselves out of this mess in one election cycle.

This is what cozying up looks like:

One DeSantis Super PAC Closes Operations, The Second DeSantis Super PAC Pulls Out of Key States

Posted originally on the CTH on August 31, 2023 | Sundance

A very bad, terrible, no good news day for Ron DeSantis today.

A $50 million Super PAC scheduled to launch in support of his campaign was forced to abandon all hope after the donors backed out, essentially saying it’s futile.   Then, moments later, the Never Back Down super PAC announced they were backing down from Super Tuesday states and halting all door knocking activity in Nevada, California, North Carolina and Texas.   The burn rate on cash was too much and no resupply.

I said last year, when few would accept my predication of a DeSantis effort, to settle into an unemotional spectator position, watch DeSantis launch and implode, then watch what happens to the financed influencer campaign as the cash runs out.

All of these interests will radically shift once the cash dries up.  That’s exactly what is going on right now.   Two stories:

(Daily Mail) – A super PAC set up to back Ron DeSantis with $50 million is closing as donors backed out – while its founder said the Florida governor’s campaign was guilty of ‘rookie s**t’ mistakes and he will now back Donald Trump.

John Thomas, a Republican strategist known as the ‘Billy the Kid of Political Battles’ set up ‘Ron to the Rescue’ in November and had secured financial commitments from mega-wealthy donors.

But he said the donors began having second thoughts after the botched DeSantis campaign launch on Twitter Spaces in May. (more)

Meanwhile, the formerly $200 million funded Never Back Down Super PAC, the group that was left carrying the brunt of the DeSantis campaign costs after relaunch, has pulled all major door knocking operations from states.   This announcement was more predictable, because we could see the burn rate on NBD being ruinously high.

(Via NBC) – Never Back Down, the super PAC backing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign, has ceased its door-knocking operations in Nevada, home to a key early nominating contest, and California, a delegate-rich Super Tuesday state, officials confirmed Wednesday.

They added that in recent weeks, the group also ended its field operations in North Carolina and Texas, two additional states that vote on Super Tuesday in March.

Never Back Down had pitched a wide-ranging canvassing effort throughout the early nominating states as the centerpiece of its effort to help boost DeSantis in the primary — even letting reporters inside its door-knocking boot camp in Iowa where it trained hundreds of canvassers earlier this year. The super PAC had planned to spend $100 million on the effort.

The decision to fold its door-knocking operations in Nevada and some Super Tuesday states coincides with DeSantis’ rough summer, which has featured him struggling to gain traction against the GOP front-runner, former President Donald Trump, since launching his campaign in late May. In recent weeks, DeSantis’ campaign has publicly promoted resets and staff shake-ups as he seeks to generate momentum. (read more)

Notice, this shift is happening after the first GOPe debate.  The shrinking of campaign effort is happening as more people get to know the candidate.  This is the structural problem.  The more people are exposed to Ron DeSantis, the more his polling support drops.
