The Real Reason Biden Denied RFK Secret Service Protection

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Aug 1, 2023 by Martin Armstron

Robert F Kennedy Jr. (RFK) knows he is a walking target for exposing nearly every angle of the establishment. Kennedy Jr.’s own father was assassinated in 1968, sparking Congress to enact a law that guarantees presidential candidates Secret Service protection. “Since the assassination of my father in 1968, candidates for president are provided Secret Service protection. But not me,” the candidate posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), receiving over 12 million views.

The Secret Service released who can apply for protection ahead of the 2024 US Presidential Election. 18 USC 3056: Powers, authorities, and duties of the United States Secret Service states:

“Major Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates and, within 120 days of the general Presidential election, the spouses of such candidates. As used in this paragraph, the term “major Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates” means those individuals identified as such by the Secretary of Homeland Security after consultation with an advisory committee consisting of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the minority leader of the House of Representatives, the majority and minority leaders of the Senate, and one additional member selected by the other members of the committee.”

The new guidelines from the Secret Service say a president may receive protection up to one year prior to the general election, compared to 120 days, in extraordinary cases. Barak Obama was granted Secret Service protection well ahead of the election because he had “a realistic chance to become president” and faced “unique threats as a black man.”

The main reason issued is that RFK is not seen as a “major presidential candidate.” Biden received protection eight months prior to election day since they knew he was a shoo-in. Hillary Clinton already had protection during her run since she was a former First Lady. So, while, yes, it is a bit early, RFK is an exceptional case. He has had multiple family members assassinated or died in mysterious fashions. RFK said the typical pro forma protection request is answered within 14 days. It took 88 days and media publicity for the Biden Administration to respond to his request. So no, he wasn’t whining; he had to make his request public to receive an answer. RFK also said one of the leading protection firms in the world penned a 67-page report detailing the danger RFK currently faces. Government protection would not help RFK anyway.

Time will tell if the Biden Administration offers RFK protection closer to the election date. The problem becomes they do not see him or anyone as a major candidate or opponent. Biden is not even campaigning because he is certain he will win, despite being one of the least popular presidents in American history.

James O’Keefe Interviews Robert Kennedy Jr

I saw this interview surface and just the headline was enough to pique my interest; so, I watched it, and I’m glad I did.

The interview between James O’Keefe and Robert Kennedy Jr is very interesting {Direct Rumble Link Here}. O’Keefe is a good interviewer, with questions that are not ordinarily asked and generates a depth in response not often seen. The interview highlights the perspective of Robert Kennedy Jr as the candidate looks at the total administrative state now assembled in the U.S. government.

I don’t want to lead viewers/readers too much, because the times we are living in require an investment of self in order to evaluate information. However, what RFK Jr says toward the end of the interview, about his ability to win the election is very interesting. The interview is 48 minutes, and it held my interest the entire time.

Quizzically, RFK Jr doesn’t touch on Joe Biden as a political opponent. Kennedy doesn’t mention Biden, nor does he mention the Democrat nomination. Instead, Kennedy jumps immediately to the general election and frames his ability to defeat Donald Trump.

There’s something revelatory about the psyche of a person when asked a question in a comfortable environment and how they respond. I’m not exactly sure what is driving RFK Jr here, but what I can say with some confidence is that he sees the Trump movement as the tribe he can influence.

WATCH and let me know your thoughts.

FYI – I have this weird little glitch in my brain that triggers any time I find myself nodding in agreement.  A brain itch that reminds me to stop, hang on a second, pull back and ask myself: is the person constructing the discussion points to purposefully create my agreement.  I have found in life when that happens, it is best to go quiet, get small and withdraw – then look for context and evaluate carefully.

Sunday Talks, Robert Kennedy Jr Discusses the Intelligence Community Power in DC and His Intent to Dismantle It

Robert Kennedy Jr. appears on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo to discuss his Democrat campaign for the Democrat presidential nomination.  Within the interview, RFK Jr. outlines his perspective on the national security state control over Washington DC and his campaign platform.  WATCH:

RFK Jr’s positions on the First Amendment (speech) and Fourth Amendment (privacy) are good.  However, do not be lulled into thinking his positions on the Second Amendment (gun ownership) and/or his positions on radical climate change, can be reconciled against the prior two.

As a rabid anti 2nd amendment voice who believes in gun confiscation as a government power over the people, in combination with his radical positions on the urgency of climate change/global warming, a position that by its own nature is anti-economic freedom, RFK Jr. positions himself more to harm liberty and freedom more than protect it.

The corporate agenda behind Fox News promoting RFK Jr. is likely an effort to shave a few more voters away from the America First platform by lulling voters into the position of RFK Jr. as a moderate alternative.  Robert Kennedy Jr. is in alignment with the far left on most issues, other than Speech and Privacy.

To me, it looks like the corporate BIG CLUB agenda is using RFK Jr. as a tool to pull MAGA Democrats away from Trump – not an intent to pull centrist Democrats away from Biden.

The Program that Locked Down the World

A Pundit With a Point

Generally speaking I skip most punditry stuff nowadays simply because it is fraught with too much pretending. Factually, when the baseline of the review is grounded on a false premise, the sequential review of potential outcomes is flawed and generally irrelevant.

That said, this is one of the rare punditry opinions that hits close to accurate {direct rumble link}.  Everything in this brief segment is close to the mark, Ned Ryun is at least one of those pundits who actually hits the target.  The flaw, part of the pretending that he misses, is in the outlook that if “republicans” -implying the RNC- can generate a ballot harvesting operation to compete, then Trump will defeat Newsom.

The issue Ryun misses is that professional republicans, the private corporations that are assembled under the unity banner of the professional republican apparatus (RNC), when given the Trump vs Newsom scenario, do not want Trump to defeat Newsom.  The win/win scenario for the multinationals is a Trump defeat, irrelevant of the victor, that’s the major flaw within the pretending issue inherent in almost all political analysis.  WATCH:

RFK Fund Raising Becoming Interesting

Spread the love

I have been getting a lot of emails from Europe and Asia asking if they can donate to RFK’s campaign. The fact that so many are asking that question is in itself interesting. I have never received such a question regarding Trump, Hillary, Biden, Bush, McCain, or Al Gore. The mere fact that for the first time, I have been getting this question relative to RFK, I believe, demonstrates that he has a lot more appeal than the press or, certainly, the Democrats want to admit.

Q: Is it legal for candidates to raise funds overseas for a presidential race?

A: Yes, but they can’t legally accept donations from individuals who are neither U.S. citizens nor permanent U.S. residents (Green Card holders can donate).

We are not talking about major donations like Biden got illegally, but donations from individuals. The maximum you can donate stands at $3,300 per election per candidate (52 U.S.C. § 30116(a)(1)(A)), but that is for the primary and then you can donate the same again for the election, while the limit on contributions made by persons to national party committees now stands at $41,300 per calendar year.
