It’s all inside baseball, but for those who are watching the effort to rein in the Fourth Branch of government it is also quite interesting.
CIA Deputy Director Michael Ellis (pictured left) has removed the acting CIA general counsel and put himself into the role until President Trump’s nominee Joshua Simmons can be confirmed by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
Deputy Director Ellis, like DNI Tulsi Gabbard is a solid MAGA ally. Without knowing the reason for his decision to remove the CIA general counsel, the New York Times is not happy.
WASHINGTON DC – Michael Ellis, the deputy director of the C.I.A., has abruptly demoted a career lawyer who had been serving as the agency’s acting general counsel since January and installed himself in that role, according to people familiar with the matter.
[…] It was not clear what was behind Mr. Ellis’s taking personal control of making legal judgments for the agency while continuing to help lead it, but the move raised alarms among some current and former intelligence officials.
[…] The C.I.A. did not specifically address questions about what was behind the move and whether it raised conflict-of-interest issues. But in a statement, a C.I.A. spokeswoman, Liz Lyons, noted that Mr. Trump had nominated a State Department lawyer, Joshua Simmons, for the role. The Senate Intelligence Committee has scheduled a confirmation hearing for him on Wednesday.
“The deputy director is a highly respected national security lawyer and intelligence professional,” Ms. Lyons said. “This temporary arrangement was approved by career agency attorneys while the Senate considers President Trump’s nominee, Josh Simmons, for C.I.A. general counsel.

That lawyer has now been relegated to the role of a regular deputy — not fired — and Mr. Ellis has given himself the role of principal deputy, which automatically makes him the acting general counsel so long as the position remains vacant. (read more)
Some, very few – of which you are a select audience, may read this story and ponder what is going on. Again, all of this cuts to the core issue of a rogue Intelligence Community being confronted.
Remember, one of DNI Tulsi Gabbard’s first moves was to confront the National Intelligence Council inside the CIA and remove it. Gabbard then fired the NIC leadership, and it became obvious quickly she intercepted an NIC effort to undermine President Trump’s framework of Venezuela operatives Tren de Aragua De operating as a criminal terrorist organization. Soon thereafter, Gabbard removed the security clearances of 37 current and former officials – some from the CIA stable.
As that second scenario unfolded it became clear the CIA Directorate of Analysis was attempting to frame a narrative against Gabbard using a changed “covert status” for CIA operative Ms. Julia Gurganus, Senior Executive Manager – Europe and Eurasia Mission Center, Central Intelligence Agency. The CIA scheme didn’t work. DNI Gabbard declassified and released the CIA work product, and then later removed Gurganus security clearance. Julia Gurganus was the author of the false, corrupt and heavily weaponized 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment.
At each step of the IC confrontation, we can see CIA operatives intending to interfere.
Therefore, it makes sense for CIA Deputy Director Michael Ellis to make a move inside the agency to ensure the general counsel is not part of the problem. Who can Ellis trust? Given the nature of what has unfolded, the answer is himself.
Why now?
Great question.
Two likely scenarios surface. First, former NSA John Bolton’s DOJ prosecution is likely to come down to a set of “classified” document determinations as defined by the CIA previously working with Bolton. If there is a Bolton indictment looming, Deputy Director Ellis needs to ensure no political defense postures are mounted from within.
The second issue is even bigger in consequence.
With China making bold trade and geopolitical moves simultaneous with President Trump’s focus being directed to the Israeli/Gaza conflict, there is one point of geopolitical leverage which can cut the Gordian knot – Russia.
If President Trump can pull Russia out of the gravitational field of China, things can quickly change. Bold changes within the U.S-Russia relationship, at such a tenuous time as this, would require a fully aligned CIA.

Those who control information have now perfected the art of algorithmic control, using advance Artificial Intelligence as a tool to control the flow of information.
The control algorithms are learning the dark art of manipulative content operations. As Elon Musk famously said of his intentions, “the freedom of speech, not the freedom of reach.”
What the Larry Ellison (Oracle) mindset believes, is that social opinions, and ultimately public policy, can be changed simply by controlling the information inputs. This was the long-game strategy behind Larry Ellison’s like-minded fellow travelers taking action to acquire TikTok, and his son David Ellison simultaneously taking control of Paramount (CBS).
The background context is the beta test that Ellison’s protege’ Elon Musk provided with Twitter.
What comes next is exactly what Pavel Durov is warning about.
Platform content is controlled using the algorithm to apply benefit for the correct message and isolation for the incorrect message.
Content creators instantly recognize which content message is gaining benefit (likes, engagement), and which content messages result in punishment, isolation, for wrong or devalued thinking. Content creators immediately begin to modify their content to enhance the benefit and avoid the consequence.
This approach creates a system of self-governed filtration. The control officers don’t need to censor; the censorship becomes organic. By controlling the reach, the algorithm controls the speech. Nothing is organic.
Government entities don’t even need to tell platform providers to ‘blacklist’ or delete certain information any longer; they can simply tell their tech partners what information is against their interests, then let algorithms inside the machines go to work on identifying that information for isolation. Conversely, the information beneficial to their interests can be enhanced and amplified in what looks like an organic spread.
That’s what Elon Musk tested on the X platform; that’s exactly what exists today, and that’s also what is being launched by Larry Ellison on TikTok and David Ellison on CBS.

In a significant response to a direct Chinese trade action, President Trump has announced a 100% retaliatory tariff against China effective November 1st.
President Trump Via Truth Social – “It has just been learned that China has taken an extraordinarily aggressive position on Trade in sending an extremely hostile letter to the World, stating that they were going to, effective November 1st, 2025, impose large scale Export Controls on virtually every product they make, and some not even made by them. This affects ALL Countries, without exception, and was obviously a plan devised by them years ago. It is absolutely unheard of in International Trade, and a moral disgrace in dealing with other Nations.
Based on the fact that China has taken this unprecedented position, and speaking only for the U.S.A., and not other Nations who were similarly threatened, starting November 1st, 2025 (or sooner, depending on any further actions or changes taken by China), the United States of America will impose a Tariff of 100% on China, over and above any Tariff that they are currently paying. Also on November 1st, we will impose Export Controls on any and all critical software.
It is impossible to believe that China would have taken such an action, but they have, and the rest is History. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

As noted by President Trump during his remarks about the regional state leaders requesting that he personally head the “Gaza Board of Peace,” it is only USA President Trump the regional stakeholder’s trust.
Together with the USA and Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UAE and Qatar have tentatively constructed a ceasefire and peace plan that is contingent upon President Trump as the fulcrum to balance all interests. This puts President Trump in an exceptionally important position. This balance is also why only Donald Trump can pull this off.
As the difficult challenge begins, the preliminary objectives – the ‘how to do this‘ – aspect starts to surface. As noted by the Associated Press, President Trump is sending 200 experts in transportation, planning, security, logistics and engineering from the U.S. military to frame out a “civil-military coordination center” in Israel.
The coordination center will include partner nations, nongovernmental organizations and private-sector experts. The regional states will supplement and support the center as the transitional hub for immediate reconstruction and humanitarian aid. It is likely President Trump will need to select and appoint members to the Gaza Board of Peace as this coordination center gets up and running.
As this process unfolds, Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu is likely to get angered by a predictable stiff-arm from President Trump. The regional stakeholders will be watching this dynamic closely. Domestically, this will be very interesting to watch play out.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The United States is sending about 200 troops to Israel to help support and monitor the ceasefire deal in Gaza as part of a team that includes partner nations, nongovernmental organizations and private-sector players, U.S. officials said Thursday.
The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss details that were not authorized for release, said U.S. Central Command is going to establish a “civil-military coordination center” in Israel that will help facilitate the flow of humanitarian aid as well as logistical and security assistance into the territory wracked by two years of war.
The remarks provide some of the first details on how the ceasefire deal would be monitored and that the U.S. military would have a role in that effort.
After Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase of a Trump administration plan to halt the fighting, a litany of questions remain on next steps, including Hamas disarmament, a withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and a future government in the territory.
One of the officials said the new team will help monitor implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the transition to a civilian government in Gaza. (read more)
The predictable response from domestic U.S-Israel interests is likely to follow the same pattern we see unfolding in the recent decision by the Dept of Defense to help train Qataris on the F-15 purchase.
(Via MJUltra) “The U.S. and Qatar signed an agreement to establish a Qatari Emiri Air Force training facility at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, for joint training with Qatari F-15 jets and pilots, leveraging Qatar’s role in peace talks and prior defense deals.”
The Dept of War has authorized Qatar to build a training facility at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. This is not a Qatari base in the U.S, but rather a hosted training contingent under U.S. military control.
This is similar to the Tyndall Air Force base in Florida where Qatar military already trains, or to Singapore’s F-15 training at Mountain Home, Idaho, since 2009, or the Dutch F-16 training facility in New Mexico. This is not an unusual set up as it permits training while the Dept of War can control strategic tech and intel systems at home.
Qatar’s massive $12 billion F-15 purchase requires U.S-based training and Mountain Home’s infrastructure suits this need perfectly. The joint training is routine. The bottom line is the joint Qatar-U.S. training facility is not controversial; however, domestically the voices of Israeli influencers are already going bananas.

First Lady Melania Trump announces the initial results from her joint collaboration effort to reunify displaced children during the Ukraine/Russia conflict.
Announcing that she holds a direct line of communication between herself and Russian President Vladimir Putin, First Lady Melania Trump also noted that a personal representative acting on her behalf (perhaps Ric Grenell) has coordinated the safe transfer process for reunification of children both from Ukraine to Russia and from Russia to Ukraine.
Mrs Trump was born in what is now Slovenia when that country was part of the former Yugoslavia. Melania Trump speaks Russian. The First Lady made the stunning announcement in the Grand Foyer of the White House. Melania told reporters “much [had] unfolded” since she sent a letter in August to Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the fate of children who’ve been taken to Russia after being caught up in the front-line conflict. First Lady Melania Trump said her “representative” has been “working directly with President Putin’s team to ensure the safe reunification of children with their families between Russia and Ukraine,” starting with eight children who have been “rejoined with their families” over the last 24 hours.
Of those eight, Mrs Trump said three had been “separated from their parents and displaced to the Russian Federation because of frontline fighting” while the other five had been “separated from family members across borders because of the conflict,” with one of the five children being a Russian girl stuck in Ukraine who was repatriated to Russia.

As noted within the Reuters article announcing the decision, “experts on the award had said Trump would not win it as he is dismantling the international world order the Nobel committee cherishes.”
That “expert” worldview is essentially accurate. The ‘one-world-government’ globalists do not appreciate the nationalist disruption that President Donald Trump represents. The “Nobel award” is essentially as relevant as a “Pulitzer,” which is to say it ain’t.
