Super Tuesday – Ground Reports and Open Discussion – 1,344 Delegates Available

Today is Super Tuesday where 14 states and two territories vote in the presidential primary (listed below). There are a total of 1,320 delegates up for grabs representing 34 percent of all available delegates. Approximately 40 percent of all American voters will be voting today. At the end of today we will likely have an even better idea of whether the DNC will end up with a brokered convention.

Bernie Sanders is hoping for at least 50 percent of the total available delegates with a heavy focus on Texas, California, Massachusetts and Minnesota.  Club Favorite Joe Biden is hoping for a strong showing in southern states, and second-place proportional delegates in Texas and California.  Biden and Bloomberg are hoping to block Bernie. Mini-mike has staked his reputation and spent $500 million to win delegates today from anywhere.

However, Elizabeth Warren is hoping to become a very important king-maker by gathering just enough of the delegates Bernie needs & then entering talks with both sides.

Below you will find a list of states voting today along with the number of delegates for each state and territory. If you are voting today feel free to share your ground report. What’s the turnout like in your local precinct?

♦Alabama: Open primary, with 52 pledged delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦American Samoa: Open caucus, with the territory awarding six delegates on the basis of the results of the caucuses.

♦Arkansas: Open primary, with 31 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦California: Semi-closed primary -only Democrats and unaffiliated voters can cast a ballot- with the 415 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦Colorado: Semi-closed primary –only Democrats and unaffiliated voters can cast a ballot- with 67 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦Democrats Abroad: Open primary in which any U.S. citizen living abroad who is a member of Democrats Abroad can participate, with the 13 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦Maine: Closed primary –only Democrats can cast a ballot- 24 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦Massachusetts: Semi-closed primary –only Democrats and unaffiliated voters can cast a ballot- 91 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦Minnesota: Open primary, 75 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦North Carolina: Semi-closed primary –only Democrats and unaffiliated voters can cast a ballot- 110 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦Oklahoma: Semi-closed primary –only Democrats and unaffiliated voters can cast a ballot- 37 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦Tennessee: Open primary, 64 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦Texas: Open primary, 228 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦Utah: Open primary, 29 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

♦Vermont: Open primary, 16 delegates being awarded on a proportional basis.

Amy Klobuchar Bails Out….

Senator Amy Klobuchar has suspended her campaign for President ahead of tomorrows big super-tuesday vote.   The timing tells a story here…. Quitting the race today means Klobuchar’s internal polling showed she was going to lose her home state of Minnesota tomorrow to Bernie Sanders.

It’s likely Bernie Sanders is going to crush Klobuchar and the rest of the field in Minnesota.  Quitting today allows Klobuchar to avoid the embarrassment of a big defeat.

Following the Club strategy, Klobuchar is expected to endorse Joe Biden.

Joe Biden In South Carolina: Y’all Vote For Me Now-Hear?!

Out on 2020 election hustings, Obama’s former vice president Joe Biden sometimes forgets what day it is, what state he’s in and even that he’s running for the White House and not the U.S. Senate.

But just like clock work,  Sleepy Joe remembered to slip into a Southern accent when addressing supporters in South Carolina during yesterday’s primary victory.

“If Democrats nominate me,” the 77-year-old Biden said midway through in his regular voice, before switching into an affected southern accent, “I believe, we can beat Donald Trump.” (Breitbart, Feb. 29, 2020)

“Ah baa-leave, we can beat Donald Trump” was Biden’s Hillary Clinton-type Southern drawl, delivered in his singsong voice.

Next he’ll be serving up collard greens in which ever state he happens to be in on Super Tuesday, thinking he’s still in South Carolina.

Biden Loves South Carolina!


Vote Joe!

Sleepy Joe Biden is running for senator, er, governor, er, president and he just won the South Carolina primary. Creepy Joe is now going into ‘Super Tuesday’ with some momentum. In fact, pundits are already saying the race is now between Biden and Bernie.

I hope it’s Crazy Joe Biden. Not only will he provide plenty of subject matter for cartoons, but he will also stand the least amount of chance against President Trump. Sure, they’re saying Bernie would be the weakest candidate, but I’m not so sure of that. Bernie is offering the malarky of ‘free stuff,’ and that’s why he’s currently in the lead. Besides, I don’t want a crackpot communist to be any closer to the presidency.

So let’s put on another record on the ol’ record player and hope it’s sniffin,’ kissn,’ gropin’ Joe. Leg hair combing Joe. Mumbling, stumbling, gaffe-machine Joe.

Biden -vs- Bernie, The Race Begins…

The odds of a brokered Democrat convention have increased significantly after a big win by Joe Biden in South Carolina; not as much because of the vote result, but more as an outcome of watching how the Club coalesced the background narrative.

As a result of his overwhelming win in the palmetto state Joe Biden now has more primary votes cast for him than Sanders. At this moment, Biden is winning the popular vote.

With Bloomberg’s fatally flawed debate performances helping to move the non-Bernie voters toward Joe Biden; and with the fingerprints of the party apparatus visible in the way South Carolina rolled out; it is clear Biden is now the DNC Club’s preferred candidate to stop Bernie ‘Fidel‘ Sanders.

Most of the thirteen Super Tuesday states will likely be significant wins for Fidel Sanders.  California and Texas will provide major delegates toward his primary effort, and he will likely receive additional delegates from strong finishes in every state he doesn’t win.  However, Biden is now going to be pushed hard, and financially fueled by the Club apparatus.

As the Club begins to put the players into position, Senator Amy Klobuchar will stay in the race until after her home state of Minnesota votes Tuesday to keep Bernie from additional lift.  Amy will likely endorse Biden on Wednesday.  Buttigieg soon thereafter.  The Club officers, or the DNC establishment per se’, will put pressure on all club members.

Mini-mike Bloomberg has structured his entire campaign around Super-Tuesday; however, it now looks like $500+ million wasted.  When and how Bloomberg concedes defeat to Biden is a matter for Club negotiation.  Club leadership will start executing the media messaging now, the rough outline was visible in the Biden victory speech.

Biden will take the passive-aggressive lane and claim the morality message, painting himself as the arbiter of decency.  Media will fall-in line.  The Club and peers will paint Bernie as a divisive candidate with violent and vitriolic tendencies.  Any act of aggression, verbally or visibly by Bernie supporters, will be used to amplify that narrative.  That baseline plays short-term against Fidel Sanders and long-term against President Trump.

A divisive Bernie narrative, built upon the image of toxicity, is needed for a DNC convention where the Socialist wing will come to the convention with a great deal of delegates.  Positioning the Sanders coalition as extreme and incapable of governing will play well for the votes of the Super-delegates who could ultimately decide the nominee.

Jane Sanders is likely scrolling real estate websites book-marking options for the opulent retreat they will select to heal their wounded sensibilities; while still controlling the direction of an oblivious progressive caucus…. Socialism at its most predictable outcome.

The Club is really good with manipulative astroturf tactics.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see some remarkable DNC schemes deployed against the Sanders campaign in March, April and May.  The DNC four-day convention is scheduled for Milwaukee Wisconsin July 13th-16th.

It should be noted that Wisconsin is the home of a large radical population, and the DNC convention; a battle for the heart of the Democrat party; will be taking place on the home turf of some of the most angry & organized Bernie Sanders supporters in the country.

Delegate Zero – Tom Steyer Quits Race After Spending $250 Million….

Billionaire Tom Steyer has quit the Democrat race for president after spending $200+ million in South Carolina, more than $250 million overall, and coming in a distant third place without a single delegate.

(Via NBC) – Tom Steyer, the California activist billionaire who has largely been a nonfactor in the Democratic primary campaign, dropped out of the race on Saturday night.

Steyer’s departure came after a disappointing finish in the South Carolina Democratic primary. With 56 percent of the vote in, Steyer had just 11.7 percent of the vote — despite spending millions of dollars on campaigning there. (read more)

South Carolina Primary Election Results – Polls Close 7:00pm ET

Polls close 7:00pm ET today in South Carolina for the important Democrat presidential primary contest.  The state is seen as a must win for Joe Biden; and if successful, his future viability will be measured by the size of the victory. A narrow win won’t put voter doubts to rest, but a double-digit win will signal to The Club that he’s back in it.

Candidates must win 15 percent of South Carolina votes to get any of the 54 delegates. If the polling was accurate Buttigieg, Warren, Klobuchar and Steyer could be locked out.

Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg is not on the ballot; however, mini-mike’s prospects of success going into Super Tuesday hinge on Biden failing.  Bloomberg and Biden represent The Club’s best hope to head-off Bernie Sanders.  But Fidel Sanders is well positioned.

If Fidel wins South Carolina any hope of stopping him from the nomination is lost.

Ready or Not, Hillary Clinton, Newest Newsie Coming Down the Pike

Hillary Clinton, coming podcastsGet ready for Hillary Clinton, ‘The Newest Newsie’.

Ever-insidious Hillary Clinton has found what she thinks is a new way to get in the public’s face in time for the run-up to Election 2020.

Proving that she got as much know-how as she did donations from convicted sexual predator movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, she’s getting ready to hit radio airwaves in late spring.

According to Politico, “The former first lady and 2016 candidate, known for her deep distrust of the media, is about to become the media herself.” (Politico, Feb. 27, 2020)

But not mentioned in the Politico account, some 95 percent of the media were in the tank for Clinton when she ran in 2016.  Not just mainstream support, including the New York Times and Washington Post, but social media Google and Facebook who tried but failed to push her over the finish line.

Hillary Clinton was “the media herself” long before seeking new relevancy with podcasts.

“The yet-to-be-titled show will be co-produced by audio giant iHeartMedia, which produces original content such as Will Ferrell’s “The Ron Burgundy Podcast,” and, through iHeartRadio, is also a major distributor for the biggest names in conservative talk radio.(Politico)

“They include a who’s who of right-wing commentators who have pilloried Clinton and her family over the years: Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, Ben Shapiro, and Sean Hannity.”

Only an arrogant Hillary Clinton, cheered on by feminists ‘You go, girl!’ chants” would think she could be a bigger listener draw that Limbaugh, Levin et al.

“But it was Clinton’s recent experience with two other famous interviewers that influenced the kind of show she wanted to create. Last fall, Clinton and her daughter Chelsea recorded an episode of Conan O’Brien’s audio show, “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend.” They were promoting The Book of Gutsy Women, their co-authored collection of stories about women who have inspired them. (Politico)

According to “someone close to Clinton”, this is the coming show’s format:

“She wants to try to have a wider-ranging conversation that will be lasting, so you can listen to it in a year or you can listen to it tomorrow and it will be interesting. And then of course she’ll do some ranting and raving about news of the day.”

What about all of those who can only tolerate Hillary in small doses?

Fresh from the Believe it or Not Department:

“The other radio personality who influenced the format and style of the new Hillary Clinton show was even more unusual: Howard Stern.

“Clinton had avoided Stern for decades when she was in the White House, Senate, Obama administration and as a presidential candidate. She finally agreed to appear on Stern’s show late last year during her promotional book tour. It was scheduled to be an hourlong session, but Clinton quickly succumbed to Stern’s well-known skills at getting his guests to open up with a mix of flattery, empathy and emotional mirroring.

“Stern and Clinton ended up recording for almost 2½ hours, producing Stern’s longest interview for a non-musician in the show’s history.

“Clinton was unfiltered.”

“She joked that she “likes men” despite “what you may have heard,” discussed how Sen. Lindsey Graham may have suffered a “brain snatch,” complained that Bernie Sanders’ delayed endorsement in 2016 “hurt me,” and recalled that, when she phoned Trump to concede the election, “he was so shocked he could barely talk.”

“There is some irony that Clinton has gravitated to doing a podcast. As Stern repeatedly shows, what makes for a great interview is when a subject opens up and offers windows into character, motivation, relationships — the very things that Clinton the candidate was often unwilling to do. Her guardedness led critics to regard her as “inauthentic,” which arguably harmed her two presidential campaigns.

“Overall the project is guided by the spirit of Clinton’s recent media blitz: the Stern podcast, a recent podcast with David Plouffe in which she suggested that Tulsi Gabbard was being groomed by the Russians, and an interview with The Hollywood Reporter to promote a new Hulu documentary series in which she says of Sanders, “Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done.”

“The show also continues the trend of former major political leaders, especially Democrats, becoming media entrepreneurs. After he lost the 2000 election, Al Gore created his own TV network and starred in an important documentary about climate change. Upon leaving office, the Obamas created Higher Ground, a multimedia production company whose first documentary, “American Factory,” just won an Oscar. If Trump had lost in 2016, he was reportedly prepared to start his own conservative media organization.”

But the fact that Clinton has never been able to believe is that Trump didn’t lose the 2016 election but won it.

“Another focus of the show for Clinton is to use the podcast to share good news about problems that are actually being solved rather than produce yet another regular conversation strictly about how the world is going to hell.” (Politico)

She’ll have to dig deep in order “to share good news about problems that are actually being solved” with Desperado, do-nothing Dems now running Congress where no problems are actually getting solved.

Meanwhile, the best thing about Hillary’s upcoming podcasts is that they cannot take you by surprise.  Like all podcasts, viewers have to specifically log in.

In other words, the best thing about Hillary Clinton’s coming podcasts is you don’t have to tune in on them.

Bernie Sanders Receives Glowing Praise From Cuban Communist Government – Florida Poll Shows Immediate Collapse…

Well, it might not exactly be the best endorsement for the American political aspirations of Bernie Sanders but the official communist propaganda outlet in Cuba, Granma, is heaping high praise upon Bernie “Fidel” Sanders for his support for the communist regime.

Miami Herald – Granma, the Communist Party newspaper, prominently displayed a report about Sanders and his praise of “some of the social programs implemented by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro.”

“U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, today one of the strongest candidates for the nomination of the Democratic Party to the November presidential elections, recognized Cuba’s role in sending doctors worldwide,” Granma said. (more)

[You can read the communist praise here] Meanwhile, in directly related news, Bernie Sanders has plummeted to third place in the latest poll of Florida Democrats.  Early voting is underway and election day is March 17th.

The Florida poll shows Biden surging ahead with 35% as support for Bloomberg and Sanders has collapsed in the past ten days.

After Bloomberg displayed his unlikable disposition he immediately dropped to 25%.  And the latest Bernie Sanders display of support for communist Fidel Castro has collapsed the Vermont senator to 13%.

Early voting is underway in Florida and about a third of voters have now cast their ballot.  That means Biden is very likely to win Florida far ahead of Bloomberg and a very distant Bernie will slide even further down in the final results.

Former Vice President Joe Biden is back on top in Florida.

That’s according to the latest survey from St. Pete Polls, which shows Biden with 34% support among likely Democratic primary voters. Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg slipped to second place with 25% support.

That’s a change from the previous two versions of the St. Pete Polls survey, which showed Bloomberg had taken the lead. A mid-February version had Bloomberg eclipsing Biden in the Sunshine State for the first time. (link)
