Former NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly Warns About Mamdani as NYC Mayor

Posted originally on CTH on August 10, 2025 | Sundance

Former New York City Police Commissioner, Ray Kelly, is warning about what will happen if Zohran Mamdani wins the mayor race in New York City.  However, at this point the Mamdani victory is almost assured.

Mamdani is supported by both the professional political left and the professional political right.  Essentially supported by establishment Democrats and establishment Republicans. Also, supported openly by the DNC and supported passively by the fundraising arm of the RNC.

Mamdani represents the opportunity for both parties to fundraise billions of dollars in support and opposition.  This is the UniParty at work.

Zohran Mamdani is essentially a shoo-in for Mayor. He hits a very unique niche spot, fulfilling the role needed for the left and the right. The left will promote the unaffordability of things and target the Gen-z audience for branding.  The DNC will do their social/econ experiments again and fundraise.

On the other side of the UniParty, the “conservatives” within the traditional GOPe will have their new foil. Conservatives will have the opportunity for thousands of hours of punditry, lots of column inches and, of course, fundraising.

An argument can be made that Andrew Cuomo, financed by those who construct political distractions, entered the NYC race to ensure a Mamdani victory. Republicans, Democrats, communists, leftists, controlled right media, Palestinian supporters and Israel-First strategists all prefer both a beacon and a foil to keep the coliseum crowd occupied.

Yeah, politics in the post-Obama era is about seeing the other hand in slow motion now, feeling that intuitive sense of history repeating, and noticing the same tripwires are being triggered.  Wash, rinse, repeat.

NEW YORK – Ex-NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly on Sunday warned it would be a “tragedy of major proportions” if city voters elect socialist mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani, who is “totally unqualified” for the office.

Kelly — the longest-serving police commissioner in Big Apple history with stints under Democratic Mayors Mike Bloomberg and David Dinkins — said he is especially worried Mamdani will gut the Police Department while trying to usher in “a whole list of wacky things.”

“It’s a tragedy of major proportions if Mamdani is elected mayor of the greatest city in the world,” Kelly said on WABC 770 AM’s the “Cats Roundtable” program. (more)

The guy is straight from central casting for the UniParty.

A proud socialist, Muslim supporter of Hamas, progressive wealth spreader who hears and understands the voices of the Starbucks crowd.  A NYC version of Barry Soetero.  Professional Democrats and Republicans will benefit financially.

Cuba Lost a Quarter of its Population in the Last 4 Years

Cuba.Poverty

Cuba is a tragic example of what can happen to a society under a Marxist–Leninist socialist republic—equal in poverty. New reports show that nearly a quarter of Cuba’s population has fled the nation in the past four years alone in search of economic opportunities.

Such a mass exodus is usually only seen during times of war. Estimates state that around 545,011 people escaped the island in 2024, with 45.5% fleeing to the United States. Spain, Serbia, Mexico, and Uruguay remain popular for socialist refugees. The study was conducted by Cuban economist Albizu-Campos as the nation has not held a formal census since 2012. The National Office of Statistics has acknowledged that the population has fallen beneath 10 million, with their estimates stating 300,000 fled in 2024.

Cuba has been in a crisis for many years now. The nation faces one of the worst energy crises and it has become commonplace for entire regions to go a day without any power. Trade restrictions have caused widespread shortages of essentials such as food, water, and oil.

Their currency is worthless. Inflation hit 500% in 2021, falling to 200% in 2022, but the nation is unable to keep proper figures. In 2021, authorities attempted to establish the Cuban peso as the main currency and introduced a new currency pegged to the dollar called “moneda libremente convertible” (MLC). Cuba, like Venezuela and other socialist economies, has suffered from economic mismanagement rather than just US sanctions. There is no private property, the dual-currency system has failed, and central planning is non-existent.

President Miguel Díaz-Canel reached out to Russia, Turkey, Algeria, and China for financial assistance but remains blacklisted by most of the West. Canada is actually the top importer of Cuban goods, accounting for $585.61 million of exports in 2023 out of a total of $1.59 billion. Tobacco, nickel, ores, and alcohol remain Cuba’s last standing exports but most nations sanctioned Cuba long ago and they are hard-pressed to find any buyers. Exports declined by $900 million as agriculture and tourism plummeted.

Russia has attempted to help Cuba bypass sanctions by supplying essentials like meat and dairy, and President Diaz-Canel is expected to visit Moscow in the coming months. Russia and China are Cuba’s last hope for a financial lifeline.

The Cuban Human Rights Observatory (OCDH) estimates that at least 89% of Cubans currently live in “extreme poverty.” This is a textbook tragic example of how a nation inevitably falls under Marxist–Leninist socialist policies that dictate everyone must be equal in poverty.

Left-Wing German Coalition Government Stunned by Nationalist Wins in Eastern Germany

Posted originally on the CTH on September 2, 2024 | Sundance

We have often said the American people are in an abusive relationship with our government; meaning the priorities and important policies of the majority of Americans (specifically immigration, economic nationalism, Ukraine spending, and the core elements that have created the Trump/RFK Jr coalition), are not represented in the legislative outcomes of a UniParty congress.

In essence, the USA government, both parties, are deaf to the voices of American citizens.  This is stunningly visible around the issue of congress using U.S taxpayer funds to support the Ukraine government and the Ukraine budget.

However, this is not just an American problem.  We can see the same disconnect in Canada, Australia, the U.K. and parts of the EU including France and more recently, Germany.

In the Eastern German elections held Sunday, the AfD party (Alternate for Deutschland) won resounding victories.  Essentially, the center-left party and the UniParty coalition, was disregarded. The election was won by pragmatic nationalists on the key issues of immigration, the economy and Ukraine policy.

(Wall Street Journal) […] Projections by public broadcaster ZDF showed the AfD getting around 33.4% of the votes in Thuringia and 31.4% in Saxony, with Scholz’s center-left SPD scoring under 8% in both states, with its two coalition partners trailing it. (more)

In response there is an almost laughable reactive article in Politico, where they push the same favored MSM narrative of “far right, Nazis, surging again just like 1945,” etc. etc. blah, blah, blah.  Laughably, they use language like, “The far-right Alternative for Germany just keeps rising despite efforts to stop it.”…  I mean, seriously; have you ever seen a more perfect encapsulation of the disconnect.

In order for the professional political leftists to continue what they do best, which is to destroy everything, they must pretend not to know things.  In this example the entire media ecosphere pretends not to know that what they are seeing happen in all of these elections is a reaction to globalism being pushed by the governing body, while the citizens are against it.

In the USA you might say, Donald Trump is not the cause of the Republican party problems, he is our direct response to it.   In Germany you can say the rise of the AfD is not the cause of the government problem, it is the citizens response to the problem they have with government.

BERLIN — Germany’s far right is here — and it’s here to stay.

The Alternative for Germany (AfD) on Sunday scored a stunning win in an eastern German state election, amid rising voter discontent at Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s center-left national government.

The AfD’s victory in Thuringia and strong second place in Saxony has prompted a new round of soul searching in Berlin, a year out from national elections which could see EU powerhouse Germany tilt to the right.

“Our country cannot and must not get used to this,” Scholz told Reuters after the results came in. “The AfD is damaging Germany. It is weakening the economy, dividing society and ruining our country’s reputation.”

In Thuringia, the AfD — which has been classified as extremist in some German states — gained a clear victory with nearly 33 percent of the vote. In the more populous state of Saxony, the center-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) eked out a victory with around 32 percent of the vote, with the AfD trailing close behind.

[…] Germany’s mainstream leaders have made a concerted effort to stop the rise of the AfD by warning voters of the party’s growing extremism, with some leaders even calling it a Nazi party.

State-level domestic intelligence authorities have classified the local branches of the party in both Saxony and Thuringia as extremist organizations aiming to undermine German democracy. Earlier this year, Saskia Esken, the co-chief of the center-left Social Democratic Party (SPD), came out in favor of discussing a ban of the AfD — if only, as she put it, to “shake voters” out of their complacency. (read more)

You can just as easily replace “German far-right” with the USA version of “MAGA Republicans” and get the exact same scenario.

Both the AfD in Germany and the MAGA movement in the USA labeled as “domestic extremists” simply for wanting controls of immigration policy, sensible energy policy and a stopping of the insufferable war effort in Ukraine.

Apparently, the German government is shocked, SHOCKED, and didn’t see this coming.   Yet, again, western media play along and pretend not to know things….

The Obamas Fuel Class Warfare

Posted originally on Aug 26, 2024 By Martin Armstrong

Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama’s comments at the Democratic National Convention were hypocritical to the point of sounding comical. Adorned in a $3,000 pantsuit, the former First Lady told the audience that her parents raised her to be “suspicious of folks who took more than they needed.” Those with more are not to be trusted. Those with more are the reason you have less. Leave it to the Obamas to fuel class warfare while disguising themselves as middle-class “folk.”

The Obamas are worth an estimated $70 million but that is likely understated. “Suspicious” of wealth, both Barack and Michelle left the White House far wealthier than when they entered. They own a mansion in Washington. D.C., estimated to be worth $8.1 million. These relatable middle-class folk have a mere 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms in their city dwelling. They also have a beachfront property in Martha’s Vineyard, despite the Obama’s insinstance climate change will sweep all coastal properties into the sea. That home is on 30 acres and worth around $11.75 million. Oh, there is their other city dwelling in Chicago, 6,400 square feet, estimated to be worth $1.65 million.

Barack was earning a salary of $80,287 as senator of Illinois in addition to $32,144 from the University of Chicago Law School. His book, “The Audacity of Hope,” propelled his wealth after he earned $1.9 million. He and his wife wrote numerous books, penned deals with Netflix, and did everything to stay relevant after he left the White House without actually doing anything to give back to the people. Yet, Obama was already a millionaire before he took office with his pre-2008 bond holding alone thought to be worth up to $5.1 million.

Let’s not forget the lobbying! But that is a topic for another day.

Michelle Obama then said that Donald Trump disliked the Obamas because they are black and educated – blatant defamation. Trump has numerous cabinet members of color on his team and they were not DEI hires. If you made it on Trump’s team it meant you were qualified and simply the best fit for the job. Furthermore, TRUMP was the one who agreed to begin funding historically black colleges. These schools begged Obama for years for assistance, and Trump provided it to them. Trump came into politics as a wealthy businessman. The issue is that many people mistakenly perceive politicians, especially career politicians, as public servants when they are power vultures who make their true living on lobbying deals, insider trading, or whatever power they can abuse to earn a buck. Trump does not need the lobbying money and has not been bribed by the establishment. Obviously, he has never lived the life of someone in middle America, but none of these other politicians are concerned about grocery store prices or daily expenses.

The illusion that the Obama family represent the everyday middle American has been well orchestrated. Trump was the only president to see his wealth decline during his presidency. He was also the first president who refused to take his taxpayer-funded salary. He said himself that he would not be running for re-election had the state of the nation not been in such dire straits under Biden and Harris. The Obamas are completely embedded in the establishment and are no more in touch with the average American than anyone else in Washington.
