A Rebel with a Cause – Matt Gaetz Delivers Righteous Remarks to Florida GOP Assembly, Things are Getting “A Little Grizzly”…

Posted originally on the CTH on November 5, 2023 | Sundance

This is, well, too full of smiles to adequately describe.   Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz delivered a resoundingly honest speech to the Republican attendees at the Florida Freedom Summit on Saturday.   It is well worth the time to watch, as prompted.

Look, I’m still on the fence with this guy, but his brutal confrontation of the GOPe is some of the funniest and best components of the BIG UGLY so far.   The guy has been put through the wringer, hit from every angle, ridiculed by both the left and right, and yet he’s standing there snarking brutal one-liners in their faces while sipping their tears.

It’s so much fun to watch him go full wolverine, and yet so brutal in its abject honesty; quite frankly, it makes him very easy to like. WATCH:

I mean, seriously.  Think about it.  He took down the Speaker of the House….

He’s a rebel with a cause. Give em’ hell kid!

Sometimes I just sit and shake my head.  Why these guys keep appearing with Sean Hannity is beyond my understanding.  That said, the platform and host is the first warning sign, the content of the interview is another.

Speaker Mike Johnson, who is a significant upgrade from Speaker Kevin McCarthy, sits down for an extensive discussion on current political events where Sean Hannity can tell Johnson his role and responsibility as Speaker. WATCH:

Louisiana Republican Jeff Landry Wins Governor Race, Returns State to Republican Control

Posted originally on the CTH on October 15, 2023 | Sundance

Interestingly, and perhaps likely because of President Trump’s endorsement of Jeff Landry, the Republican Governor’s Association (RGA) did not support Landry in the Louisiana governor’s race.  Just another small but interesting datapoint that will be missed in this story.

As we have previously mentioned, the RGA, just like the RNC, is a captured institution now under the full control of the multinational donors.

Despite the lack of RGA support, Louisiana Republican Jeff Landry has won the governor’s race with more than 50% of the vote and will become the next governor.

(Politico) – […] Landry, the state attorney general, emerged from a crowded, all-party field to win the seat with 52 percent of the vote when The Associated Press called the race with 95 of the estimated vote counted. He will succeed term-limited Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards.

Landry emerged from a field that included a number of notable Republicans, including state Treasurer John Schroder and Stephen Waguespack, a former executive at the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry and one-time aide to former GOP Gov. Bobby Jindal. There was one big-name Democrat in the race: Shawn Wilson, who previously served in Edwards’ administration as transportation secretary and had 25 percent of the vote when the AP called the race.

Landry was able to quickly coalesce GOP support in the race. He was endorsed by former President Donald Trump, the state Republican Party and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, among others.

By receiving more than 50 percent of the vote, Landry, who is also a former member of Congress, avoids a November runoff. Most expected Landry and Wilson to advance to that contest, making Landry’s outright win on Saturday an even bigger surprise — and potentially an early marker of Republican voters’ enthusiasm heading into 2024.

The state is red — Trump carried it by almost 19 points in 2020 — but Landry will become only the 4th Republican governor since the end of Reconstruction. Edwards, the outgoing Democratic governor, is one of the last of a dying breed of Southern Democrats. He is a rare anti-abortion Democrat still in a prominent elected office. (more)

About Us

Our Mission at The Conservative Treehouse is to be the premier assembly of freedom loving people.  To that end we commit to:

(1) The highest standard of stewardship for our fellowship.

(2) Being intolerant of hate and division.

(3) Uphold faith in the purposes of a loving God; however you perceive him to be.

(4) Affirm the inherent dignity, value and right to privacy of our members.

(5) The accurate dissemination of truth; without fear or apology, because ultimately the Truth Has No Agenda.

The Conservative Tree House may be called a Last Refuge for each of us for different reasons. Whatever trail through the woods brought us here, we have shared the turmoil of storms as we have been finding our voices as individuals in this growing community

Perhaps you’ve had some truly shockingly cruel things said to you purely because you believe in limited government and fiscal conservatism. Perhaps you not only believe that we should be self-reliant and personally responsible, but also believe that when we are allowed to depend on ourselves, we are stronger, more successful, take greater pride in ourselves and our work, and are more likely to make positive contributions to society. And then we are happier people, or at least more likely to be happier.

Which lends to the following theory: Fear is at the core of modern liberalism, and love/trust is at the core of conservatism. Modern liberalism, most commonly evolved to leftism, is about control. Conservatism is about self-empowerment.

Control is a reaction to fear. Think in terms or politics and society – the fear behind liberalism is the fear that someone might withhold things (opportunities, money, whatever) from me, fear that if you live your life in a way I dislike that it might affect my life, fear that if you get that job, there will be nothing left for me. Fear that if you make tons of money, it’s means there’s less money out there for me. So people who believe in leftist ideologies seek control as a means of trying to create guarantees and safeguards against those circumstances they fear.

Modern “liberals”, leftists, try to control the world and people to enable their comfort and happiness. Which, as we know, is an endless quest. Trying to control others does nothing in the way of making oneself happy. By extension, voting in this mindset so that government can try to control others will also – shocking – not lead to a happier, more comfortable life.

The conservative (and moderate, independent, but for the sake of expediency, the conservative), on the other hand, relies on himself to meet his own needs. And the trade off of being free to live his life as he wishes is also understanding that he has to make peace with how you live yours. By extension, aware that he wants to be able to hold onto this liberty and freedom forever, the conservative votes accordingly, so that everyone can remain free and in charge of his or her own life.

But here’s the crucial difference, perhaps, particularly where misery on the left stems: The conservative does not worry, so to speak, about you. The conservative knows that you were born with the same access to self-love, self-empowerment, self-determination and self-reliance that we all were, no matter the circumstances into which you were born. (Think about the millions of people this country has allowed to crawl up from poverty into prosperity – the conservative KNOWS this is possible.) And the conservative believes that if you want prosperity, or a good job, or a good education, you can make it happen – but you have to work hard.

The conservative hopes and intends that the free markets bring you all of the affordable and positive opportunities and resources that you need. The conservative also knows that on the other side of that hard work is great reward – material and, more importantly, emotional, spiritual and mental.

The conservative understands that not only is it a waste of time to try to control you, it’s actually impossible. Humans were born to be free. And if we put a roadblock in front of you, you’ll find another way around it. So we see attempts at control as a waste of resources, energy and time at best, and at worst, creating detrimental results that serve to hinder people’s upward mobility or teach dependence. We see much more efficiency, as well as endless opportunity, in leaving you to your own devices. And we want the same in return.

This is where modern democrats mis-view conservatives as heartless. But really, the conservative believes that there is one and one path only to sustainable success and independence – and that is self-empowerment. All other avenues – welfare, affirmative action, housing loans you can’t actually afford – ultimately risk doing a disservice to people as they teach dependence on special circumstances, the govt, or arbitrary assistance (that can disappear tomorrow). And the real danger – they will ALWAYS backfire, and leave the recipient in equally or more dire circumstances. Any false improvement will always expire.

The conservative believes in abundance. The liberal believes in scarcity.

The conservative believes man is born free and will be who he is, no matter what arbitrary limitations or rules are put on him. The leftist believes man is perfectible, and by extension, believes a society at large is perfectible, and command and control is justified in the quest to a “perfect” utopian society. (Sounds familiar!)

The conservative tends to be more faithful – and not necessarily in God, but in the ability of the individual to find great strength in himself (or from his God) to get what he needs and to be successful. Therefore the conservative has an outlet for his fear and disappointment – trust and faith in something bigger.

The leftist believes the system must be perfected in order to enable success. Therefore disappointment is channeled as anger and blame at the system. Voids are left to be filled by faith in the govt, which they surely then want to come in and “fix” things.

And therein lies the roots of love and fear respectively. For the conservative, when life presents great struggles, he knows he has the power to surmount them. Happiness stems from internal strength and perseverance. For the modern leftist, when life presents great struggles, the system failed, therefore they were at the mercy of a faulty system, and they believe that only when the system is fixed can their life improve. Happiness is built on systemic contingencies, which they will then seek to control or expect someone else to.

One blames himself. The other blames anyone and everyone but himself.

And there it is. There’s where the meanness comes from. The leftist ideology causes that person to cast anger at the world when things go wrong or appear “unfair.” He constantly chooses only to see the “injustices” – and that makes for a very miserable, mean, blame-casting existence.

One last point that we have seen over and over and over with many (not all) of our leftist friends: Extreme stinginess and cheapness.

In our conservative community growing up, we were always taught that you give when people are in need – make donations to the Red Cross when there’s an earthquake, donate to charity when you can afford it, etc. Even if it’s just $50 here and there – it’s the right thing to do. Conservatives see this as the responsibility that comes with gaining from the capitalistic system; if you happen to benefit greatly from the system, it’s your duty to give back.

The liberal, on the other hand, does not seem to share this same viewpoint, at least not in my experience. And perhaps think this is linked to believing in scarcity, and that your dollar comes at the cost of mine. So it seems that liberals, on some level of consciousness, feel guilty about not being voluntarily charitable. Therefore, to write off their guilt, they outsource their “generosity” to the government by voting for wealth re-distributive policies. Thus, the liberal cheats himself of the joy and addictiveness of direct generosity. (Not to mention – re distributive policies ALWAYS end up dis-empowering those who they’re meant to help.)

However each of us got here, it’s probably a fact that we have the turmoil of those storms in common, perhaps some unease that we could share and always, we also find fresh ground to cover from day to day. We’re developing valuable relationships as we trust one another in our community in the woods. The chatting in the branches encourages, strengthens and equips for some serious walking.

We think the Treehouse is a good armory for those who doing long distance walking for the sake of our nation. We hope you’ll think so, too. Find yourself a good branch….or just pull up a rock to the campfire.

CPAC Invites Democrat Candidate to Address Audience – RFK Jr. Will Attend, Hoping to Remove More Trump Support

Posted originally on the CTH on October 6, 2023 | Sundance

The larger American conservative audience is more awake today than at any time in modern political history.  People are finally starting to see the root cause control and influence operations carried out by multinational corporations who control both parties and all subsequent candidates in the U.S system.

This awakening is a very good and necessary thing to watch happen in real time.  As previously mentioned, we are living in a time of great consequence.

The latest example of our corrupt system surfaces within an easily understood announcement.  The Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) has invited Robert Kennedy Jr. to attend their conference. CPAC is considered a highly influential political operation that is well known in U.S. politics.

However, as the chasm between the professional Republican class and the voters has widened over the last several years, CPAC has lost favor with the base conservative movement.  For most of the past decade, CPAC morphed into a fully entrenched GOP establishment influence operation.  Corporate sponsorship began influencing who would be permitted to speak, and Matt Schlapp just accelerated the connection between BIG CLUB money and CPAC.

Today’s announcement surrounding CPAC inviting Robert Kennedy Jr. is transparently part of the overall GOPe operation to use RFK Jr. as a vote splitter away from President Donald Trump.  In his own words RFK Jr admitted, “if he ran as an independent, he would hurt Trump more than Biden,” therefore he is running as an independent.  Stopping Donald Trump is the priority; RFK Jr’s status in the race is secondary.

As you might have noticed, CTH is now drilling down the mask slipping to the root inflection point where the corporations and Fourth Branch of Government take ownership of the individual.  In the case of Matt Schlapp, the leverage for this operation began with a lawsuit against him earlier this year for being a sexual deviant and groping a man’s penis – what they call sexual assault, in Georgia. {GO DEEP}  Matt always had a zipper problem; it makes sense with a few drinks the perversions would actuate.

When you chase understanding the odd and irreconcilable actions, money and/or sexual blackmail and threats are generally the issues that reconcile the odd or conflicting behavior.  Compromise Schlapp, who was preexisting sketchy, add in the corporate leverage, and violà the standard influence operation is underway….

….Inviting RFK Jr to CPAC just becomes another irreconcilable datapoint that reconciles.

[SOURCE]

This is the way the multinational corporations roll.  Control is why the Sea Island assembly, assembles.

RFK Jr. is not going to CPAC to target Biden voters.

The RNC, the DNC, the RGA and CPAC all funded by the same financial donors.  What George Carlin called, “The Big Club.”

Federalism Is Working – Pushing Back Against Weaponization, The Potemkin Village in DC Is Not

Posted originally on the CTH on October 5, 2023 | Sundance

As we rightly stop the cycle of Battered Conservative Syndrome, here’s a concrete reality we can all understand easily.

If the people who are weaponizing government really held any concern about the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of Government holding them accountable, they would not be expanding their weaponization operations.

The White House controls the actions of the Dept of Homeland Security (DHS), FBI, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), through cabinet appointments and leadership staff. Each of these agencies are expanding their domestic targeting operations, not reducing them.

That expanded targeting is happening simultaneously with the House Subcommittee on Weaponization in place, presumably an oversight body. That reality tells us all we need to know about the intentions of the congressional subcommittee and the perspective of the government agencies toward accountability; there simply isn’t any.

The DC construct of that subcommittee is a Potemkin village, a false front, intended to give the illusion of something that is factually non-existent. That’s the bitter reality of the situation, and feel free to confront any representative of DC with that reality. It is a stark, demonstrable and self-evident reality.

There’s only one way that dynamic is going to change, and that can only come from the introduction of something that currently does not exist.

Donald J Trump – “I am running for President, have a 62 Point lead over Republicans, and am up on Crooked Joe Biden, despite the Democrat Party’s massive Law-fare, Weaponization, and Election Interference efforts, by 4 to 11 Points, but will do whatever is necessary to help with the Speaker of the House selection process, short term, until the final selection of a GREAT REPUBLICAN SPEAKER is made – A Speaker who will help a new, but highly experienced President, ME, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” [SOURCE]

On the optimistic side of that pill swallowing, federalism is working (somewhat) as a bulwark against the corrupt institutions. The state of Missouri has won key victories against the DC surveillance state with 5th Circuit Court rulings blocking the Biden administration from censoring the thoughts and speech of American citizens.

Additionally, in a key addition to the appellate court ruling, the 5th circuit has expanded their injunction to now cover CISA, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. [SEE RULING HERE]

The court has stated that CISA “shall take no actions, formal or informal, directly or indirectly, to coerce or significantly encourage social-media companies to remove, delete, suppress, or reduce, including through altering their algorithms, posted social-media content containing protected free speech.”

.

The professionally Republican DC effort to stop the weaponization of government has been yet another exhibition in abject failure.

Personally, I believe that failure is a feature, not a flaw.

Perhaps President Trump meeting with Republican leadership on Tuesday can introduce something new that changes the dynamic. However, given the nature of how professionally Republican politicians like Jim Jordan operate in government, as one wing of a UniParty effort, I wouldn’t count on it.

Jim Jordan is the Chairman of the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of Government.

Dallas Mayor Switches to Republican Party

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Sep 26, 2023 by Martin Armstrong

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson abruptly left the Democratic Party to join the GOP. The Wall Street Journal published an op-ed entitled “America’s Cities Need Republicans, and I’m Becoming One,” where Johnson explains why his values no longer align with the Democratic Party. Dallas saw a notable decline in crime since Johnson became mayor in 2019. He has found a way to manage the budget while decreasing taxes and prioritizing a safe city. Johnson told the WSJ he can no longer remain quiet about the failing cities under blue rule.

“The future of America’s great urban centers depends on the willingness of the nation’s mayors to champion law and order and practice fiscal conservatism,” Johnson stated, adding that these are traits of the Republican Party. Johnson calls Teddy Roosevelt his hero and mentions that urban areas doubled in size from 20% to 40% when he was in office. In 2023, 80% of Americans live in cities, but these areas are rapidly declining due to left policies that are driving away business and creating absolute chaos on the streets.

Johnson continued:“Unfortunately, many of our cities are in disarray. Mayors and other local elected officials have failed to make public safety a priority or to exercise fiscal restraint. Most of these local leaders are proud Democrats who view cities as laboratories for liberalism rather than as havens for opportunity and free enterprise. Too often, local tax dollars are spent on policies that exacerbate homelessness, coddle criminals and make it harder for ordinary people to make a living. And too many local Democrats insist on virtue signaling—proposing half-baked government programs that aim to solve every single societal ill—and on finding new ways to thumb their noses at Republicans at the state or federal level. Enough. This makes for good headlines, but not for safer, stronger, more vibrant cities.”

Johnson is absolutely correct, as blue cities have seen a drastic uptick in crime in recent years but nothing has been done to combat crime. Politicians have been defunding the police since the George Floyd and Black Lives Matter riots as a political move. Law and order is seen as Republican tyranny and criminals get a light slap on the wrist for breaking the law. Businesses are fleeing Democrat-run cities as legal theft has made it impossible to turn a profit. These once great cities truly have become “laboratories for liberalism” as hyperpartisan policies demand that funding be misdirected to various agencies to promote the liberal agenda. Democrats have unleashed controlled and deliberate civil unrest.

Johnson has vowed to make Dallas the safest city in America. He wants to lower taxes and manage a tighter budget with the means available. It is about time that our nation’s leaders woke up to the realities of the extreme left as American cities are now havens for crime and disorder.
