Secretary Rubio and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte Deliver Remarks in Turkey as Ukraine Delays Discussions

Posted originally on CTH on May 15, 2025 | Sundance

The talks between Ukraine and Russia on the neutral turf of Turkey turned into a geopolitical game of theatrics and narrative competition following the announcement that Vladimir Putin would not attend.

NATO Secretary Mark Rutte traveling to Turkey (a posturing participant) is yet another indication of the stupidity of it all.  Ukraine is not a NATO country and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, while it may be grounded in the origin of NATO encroachment, does not involve NATO unless you inject the ancillary issues into the equation.   All of this extraneous party posturing shows the reason why Russian President Putin did not attend.

After a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara, Zelenskyy chose to leave for home announcing he would send a delegation as the Russian group sat waiting for their peers to arrive.  The back-and-forth between the two nations played out all day without any substantive negotiations or discussions.   Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Steve Witkoff and Keith Kellogg sat around in a holding pattern waiting to see if the two sides would eventually have representatives in place to talk to each other.

Making a statement from Air Force One, President Trump seemed to encapsulate the dynamic saying he did not think any progress was likely until he personally met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “Look, nothing is gonna happen until Putin and I get together,” Trump told reporters on board Air Force One en route to the United Arab Emirates. “And he wasn’t gonna go … He wasn’t going if I wasn’t there. And I don’t believe anything will happen, whether you like it or not, until he and I get together. But we are gonna have to get it solved because too many people are dying.”

Later this afternoon Secretary of State Marco Rubio seemed to confirm that a Putin/Trump meeting was going to be needed to break the stalemate.

President Trump Delivers Remarks to USA Troops at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar

Posted originally on CTH on May 15, 2025 | Sundance

It is absolutely not accidental that President Trump delivers a speech at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the USA’s largest military base in the middle east, with a backdrop of an MQ-9B Reaper Drone on stage.

Hours earlier President Trump signed a deal for Qatar to purchase new MQ-9B drones. The U.S. gave initial approval for that purchase in March. However, not a single pundit or military expert can explain exactly why the nation state of Qatar would need Reaper Drones.  The USA operates the base providing support and protection for Qatar and the region (Qatar pays for it).  Qatar is not in conflict with any other nation state; they are not at war, and they do not conduct military engagements.  So, why does Qatar need the drones?

The unfortunate Occam’s Razor answer is that Qatar doesn’t technically use the drones, instead what the drone delivery represents is a carveout to supply the CIA with military-grade hardware for use in alternate engagements; likely engagements that are never technically ‘on the record.’  President Trump is ¹equipping the CIA.

¹There is factual and documented evidence of how these transactions take place. Indeed, the entire Benghazi, Libya, boondoggle around the unofficial “consulate” office of former Ambassador Chris Stephens, the CIA Annext located nearby and all of the activity therein, was directly and specifically an effort by the CIA under the guise of the State Dept., to retrieve surface to air missiles given to al-Qaeda (AQIM) in Libya that were being used to shoot at U.S. military helicopters in the region.  The Benghazi ‘coverup’ was all about hiding this reality from the American people.

The State Dept (CIA) used Qatar as a carveout to purchase shoulder-fired missiles, that were then distributed by the CIA to “the Libyan rebels” (Leon Panetta and Hillary Clinton operation).  However, those same CIA missiles were later used against American troops.  The CIA was repurchasing those weapons to get them out of the hands of al-Qaeda, that’s what the Annex was for.  AQIM didn’t like it, so they attacked both the consulate and the annex. That was the reason for the Benghazi coverup operation {GO DEEP}.

The drones will not be used by the nation of Qatar, nor do they have the support systems, targeting, satellite communications etc. to use them.  No, these drones will be launched and operated by USA elements, specifically the CIA – not the Qataris.

So, when the question is asked, who exactly is the Qatar purchase of MQ-9B Reaper Drones intended to benefit, the unfortunate answer is our superseding fourth branch of government; in whatever capacity they alone deem worthy.

The Art of Regime Change – Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Russia

Trade is a unifying agent that causes countries to put their differences aside. Donald Trump has been warmly welcomed by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and even a leader from Syria.

The United States announced it would lift sanctions on Syria after Trump’s historic meeting with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, a former Sunni jihadist and known terrorist. The Syrian president had a $10 million bounty on him prior to his sudden meeting with Trump, which happened a day after Trump said he would consider lifting sanctions. He was placed on the US Specially Designated Global Terrorist list back in 2013 for leading the Al Nusra Front, an Al Qaeda affiliate, and directing a series of suicide bombings across Syria. Ahmed al-Sharaa openly fought against American troops in Iraq before he left for Syria to form a coup against Bashar al-Assad with the group Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).

I should add that America captured Ahmed al-Sharaa while he was fighting for Al Qaeda in Iraq for over half a decade. America simply released him, or so we are told. The truth of the matter is that he was almost certainly compromised and turned into a CIA asset during this time period.

Russia’s 49-year relationship with the Assad government has come to an end, and along with it, its stronghold in Syria. Syrians have been critical of Russian forces in the region and blame them for numerous civilian casualties, demanding reparations. Syria is not about humanitarian concerns. It’s about energy routes and Russian influence in the region. Washington had been trying to remove Assad for years because he refused to allow the Qatari gas pipeline that would have undermined Russia’s dominance in supplying gas to Europe. This is what the neocons never tell you. They want war—plain and simple—because it lines their pockets and advances their ideological dream of reshaping the world in their image.

Russia’s intervention in the region in 2015 was perfectly legal as Assad welcomed them in. It was the CIA and Obama who were funding radical groups in Syria, hoping to overthrow yet another government. This backfired completely and gave rise to ISIS. We now have the declassified documents from 2012 that show the US intelligence community knew this would happen and did it anyway. Ahmed al-Sharaa is exactly who the West needed to install an interim puppet government and force their way into Syria.

Syria is currently under a transitional government, a preferred state by Western nations, as they can use capital to shape things to their liking. Bashar al-Assad’s regime was toppled in December 2024. The puppet government created a 23-member cabinet in March 2025 that is supposed to represent a diverse group with members from Christian, Druze, Kurdish, and Alawite communities and at least one woman. A number of former ministers from the Assad regime are within the cabinet as well, but HTS has full control over defense and foreign affairs.

The current president implemented the Constitutional Declaration on March 13, 2025, which will provide the framework until 2030. Yet, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) still control many regions and has not integrated into the national army. Yet, they are controlling the oil production at present.

Saudi Arabia Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (pictured above) and Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged the US to remove sanctions on Syria, citing that American aid and trade would help uplift the new government under HTS. It all comes down to money.

Turkey’s ambitions lie with the Russian debacle, as the Middle East is simply the second location for the ongoing proxy war. As I have warned, this is a NATO member to keep an eye on.

Saudi Arabia is eager to stabilize the region to encourage Gulf investments. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan declared there will be a “breakthrough in the kingdom’s support to Syria after the lifting of U.S. sanctions,” as both Saudi Arabia and Qatar begin investing heavily in rebuilding Syria with minimal international backlash, with America’s support.

Saudi Arabia also agreed to invest $600 billion into the United States in crucial sectors like defense, energy, and mining. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said $1 trillion in deals will be finalized in the coming months. The US agreed to sell Saudi Arabia $142 billion in arms, marking the largest defense agreement in American history. The US is ready to secure its place in the Middle East and form stronger alliances to ensure its stronghold over the region.

Syria has an estimated 2.5 billion in proven oil reserves, according to the US Energy Information Administration. Pre-war, Syria was producing 385,000 barrels of oil daily, but that slowed drastically to 24,000 to 34,000 per day from 2019 to 2025. At present, Syria has been generating 110,000 barrels per day, with 100,000 barrels from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and only 10,000 from the new administration. This is far from a recovery since the nation needs about 150,000 bpd to meet demand domestically.

The United States now owns Syria through its ties to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey. More importantly, the interim government has been freshly established with a new Constitution promising diversity and a change from Sharia law to appease the West, although the president is a known jihadist terrorist who was captured by American troops and released in order to overthrow Syria’s last regime. All of this was planned out long ago. The West has leverage against Russia once again. The SFD is unlikely to surrender to the new government simply. The Art of Regime Change is in full swing in Syria as various world powers battle for influence, power, and control over the land.

President Trump Holds a Press Gaggle Aboard Air Force One En Route to Qatar

Departing Saudi Arabia, President Trump holds a press briefing aboard Air Force One while on route to Qatar the second stop in the trip.

President Trump was asked about his meeting with Syria’s President Ahmad al-Sharaa. Trump told reporters he found the country’s new leader to be “very good,” adding that he’s a “young, attractive guy.”  “He’s got a real shot at pulling it together. I spoke with President Erdogan, who I’m very friendly with. He feels he’s got a shot of doing a good job. It’s a torn-up country,” Trump added.

President Trump said that he thought that Syria would join the Abraham Accords after Syria “gets themselves straightened out,” but he added that the nation has “a lot of work to do.” When asked whether he’d consulted Israel before lifting the sanctions on Syria, President Trump said his administration simply told Israel they would do it. “The reason I did it is because I spoke with the President Erdogan and I spoke to Mohammed, as you know, and they thought it was very important to do, it gives … them a much better chance of survival as a country,” Trump said.  WATCH:

President Trump also said that Russia President Putin wanted Trump to attend the talks in Turkey, though Trump remained noncommittal on attending, citing his schedule and foreign trip obligations. “He would like me to be there, and that’s a possibility. If we could end the war, I’d be thinking about that,” Trump said.

DOJ Embeds Fight Back – Ethics Complaints Filed Against Outgoing DC U.S. Attorney Ed Martin

Posted originally on CTH on May 14, 2025 | Sundance

If you listened to Ed Martin naming the people within the lawfare community of DC operatives who are actively working to weaponize the legal system to block and attack reform efforts within the DOJ, then you likely understand the origin of these latest maneuvers.

Outgoing USAO Ed Martin, and current head of the DOJ ‘weaponization working group’ has revealed that Lawfare operators have filed ethics complaints in an effort to challenge his legal license.   This is what happens when the U.S. Attorney General, Pam Bondi, doesn’t face down the internal lawfare operation within Main Justice severely enough.

(VIA REUTERS) – The lawyer President Donald Trump tapped to serve as Washington, D.C.’s top prosecutor and then dropped in the face of Senate opposition, said on Wednesday he is facing a professional ethics investigation, according to a letter seen by Reuters.

Interim Washington U.S. Attorney Ed Martin said in the letter sent to his staff on his last day on the job that he is under investigation by the D.C. Office of Disciplinary Counsel. The office is in charge of investigating and bringing misconduct proceedings against attorneys in the district.

Martin alleged that Hamilton “Phil” Fox, the attorney investigating his conduct, had breached the confidentiality of the investigation by sharing a copy of the complaint with the department’s Civil Division.

“It is an outrage how they treat us and I will continue the fight against the weaponization of our law licenses against us,” Martin wrote in an email.
“I am taking on Mr. Fox head on. His conduct is personally insulting and professionally unacceptable.”

Fox declined to comment on Martin’s claims, citing confidentiality rules.

In the email, Martin attached a copy of a May 9 letter he sent to Chief Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals asking her to investigate and suspend Fox, and to dismiss the complaint filed against him. Martin’s letter did not specify the nature of the ethics allegations filed against him.

There have been at least five formal ethics complaints filed against Martin that were made public by nonprofit watchdog groups, ethics experts and members of Congress during his brief tenure as interim U.S. attorney.

At least one of those complaints has since been closed, after Fox concluded that Martin did not technically violate disciplinary rules when he filed a motion to dismiss a case against a person charged with taking part in the January 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol whom he had previously represented in private practice. Tucker Carlson Interviews Ed Martin – The Scale of Corruption within the DOJ and FBI are “Much, Much Worse Than People Think”…

As the Washington DC U.S. Attorney, Ed Martin was in position to address the known and documented activity of a variety of former DOJ officials. There’s a strong argument to be made that’s the reason why the DOJ’s corrupt allies in congress moved to eliminate the threat Martin represented. However, their collective result didn’t remove him, nor did it change the objective, it just changed Mr Martin’s title.

Washington DC USAO Ed Martin carried the authority of the Attorney General, in the changed dynamic special appointee ADAG Ed Martin now carries the authority of the President of the United States to investigate a weaponized DOJ/FBI apparatus. It became a serendipitous outcome.

In this episode of Tucker Carlson the former Fox News host interviews the head of the newly formed ‘weaponization working group’ Ed Martin. Within the interview Martin outlines the mysterious motives of the FBI handling of the J6 “pipe bomber” case, alleging that basic investigative steps were overlooked. “They didn’t interview some of the people that you would have said, ‘That might be a suspect.’ They hadn’t interviewed him,” he said. Raising concerns about the agency’s competence, he added, “The question becomes, ‘what’s happening here?’ Is it incompetence? It feels worse than incompetence.”

When asked by Carlson whether the DOJ is worse than people believe, Martin went further, declaring, “I think it’s worse than incompetence.” “The only way forward is not to describe what I think of the motives but to expose over and over again what’s happened. If you expose what happened and the truth gets out, then accountability is possible.” Martin then described the issues facing the DOJ as “much, much worse than people think.” WATCH:
