Michael Mann has had a paper on the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation (AMO) accepted by Geophysical Research Letters. The paper seeks to overturn the current understanding of the AMO. But on my reading of the paper Mann’s case is built on results that do not support his contentions.

Some people will actually believe this fake issue is real!
The bottom line today is that science no long exists in the field of Climate Study. The sole purpose of what use to be climate science appears to be fining a way to make the “party” line appear true by the misuse of of statistics and facts!

THE Arctic ice cap has melted so much that open water is now just 350 miles from the North Pole, the shortest distance recorded, scientists say.
Let’s look at the fraudulent science one piece at a time.
The amount of ice has increased by 60% since 2012, shown in green below. Scientists cherry picked one spot which lied along a boundary between high an low pressure system, where the winds blew persistently towards the pole all summer. Most of the Arctic saw a huge expansion in ice.
Next they quote Wadhams saying the Arctic will be ice free in 2015.
His credibility melted away quite suddenly in 2013.

Secretary of State John Kerry recently called climate change “the world’s most fearsome weapon of mass destruction.” The Environmental Protection Agency says it is “happening right now.”
Based on these and other dubious claims, the EPA issued rules shutting down hundreds of coal-fired power plants and preventing new ones from being built. Then it said the regulations will bring “ancillary” health benefits from general air pollution reductions, beyond the nearly 90% reduction in unhealthy U.S. emissions since 1970, even as coal-based electricity more than doubled.
Next, EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy (pictured at left) said her new “Clean Power Plan” isn’t really about pollution control. It’s an “investment strategy,” to encourage renewables by making fossil fuel use increasingly expensive or legally impossible, and justifying more taxpayer billions to subsidize wind, solar and biofuel energy.

NASA announced a day or two ago that Arctic sea ice was “the sixth lowest on record”
What they meant by this is that Arctic sea ice is second highest of the past decade, and the minimum was up 60% from two years ago.

More deceit
The US has been very cold over the past year.
It has been the sixth coldest October – August on record, and coldest in 35 years.
The National Climatic Data Center massively alters the data before it is released to the public, and they show October-August as just about average.
They hide the decline in US temperatures through a massive hockey stick of data tampering.
The Great Lakes had record ice this year. NCDC is lying through their teeth.
The abuse of weather data for political purposes is not a new problem. It was described as a crime against the community in 1907.
Great work, even though I knew what was done your time line really lays it out. Any one that was involved with this travesty should have there degrees revoked; what ever there are that are not scientists!
Today I will review the timeline of the above WMO 1999 graph in the light of the ClimateGate (CG) letters. The main events took place on Tuesday, November 16th, 1999.
Things start rolling 9 AM (UK time), when Tim Osborn sends the new Briffa and recalibrated Jones (1998) time series to Phil Jones along with the suggestion to hide the decline.
It is ready calibrated in deg C wrt. 1961-90, against the average Apr-Sep land temperature north of 20N. It goes from 1402 to 1994 – but you really ought to replace the values from 1961 onwards with observed temperatures due to the decline.
Twenty minutes later Jones writes to the MBH crew (cc Briffa and Osborn) explaining exactly what the graph will look like.

In this hyper-partisan environment, it is good to know that a majority of Senators can still agree on an issue. When such a rare moment happens, the rest of us should pay attention, as it is probably something very important.
On September 11, 53 Senators (43 Republicans and 10 Democrats) signed a letter to Gina McCarthy, Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), begging for a 60-day extension of the comment period for the “Carbon Pollution Emission Guidelines for Existing Stationary Sources: Electric Generating Units”—also known as the Clean Power Plan (CPP). The original 120-day comment period—which is already longer than the traditional 60-day comment period—is coming to a close within the next 30 days (October 16).

Its very easy to make a model — its not so easy to make one that works! Since the current model did not predict the current cooling period that would seem to indicate that there is a flaw in the model. So far now all I can say is come back when you have something that works.
