Independent Review Discovers that NCDC Fumbles Data Handling in GHCN Climate Data

This is a simple case of the Fox guarding the hen house.

The agenda of the politicians are supported by the agencies that they manage — would anyone in business or any place else where you were employer ever turn in a report that was not in support of the manager or owner of that business? I think not!

So to expect honest reporting from an agency of the government showing that things are not what the president wants shown are very very unlikely!

The UN says that global warming is melting the polar ice caps and threatens to swamp coastal regions

Climate change fight affordable, cut emissions to zero by 2100-UN

Without extra efforts to cut emissions, “warming by the end of the 21st century will bring high risks of severe, widespread, and irreversible impacts globally,” the IPCC said.

“Irreversible” could mean, for instance, a runaway melt of Greenland’s vast ice sheets that could swamp coastal regions

Scientists said almost exactly the same thing in 1952, in almost exactly the same words.

POLAR ICE THAW INCREASING GLACIERS SAID TO BE MELTING

CLEVELAND, Feb. 16 (A.A.P.) Dr. William S. Carlson, an Arctic expert, said to-night that the Polar icecaps were melting at an astonishing and unexplained rate and were threatening to swamp seaports by raising the ocean levels.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is Nothing More Than a…

Don’t forget the money as the politicians supply money to the writers to write the reports that they want. So is a money laundering system as well.

Anthony Watts’s post Meh, same old ‘gloom and doom’ from the IPCC over new climate report at WattsUpWithThat prompted this one.  I started to write a comment on that thread that began with, The IPCC is nothing more than a… and I went on from there, trying with some success to limit my word count. But I didn’t post it.  I figured it would make for a great topic of discussion all by itself, with everyone adding their own continuation to that preface.

So to start the ball rolling, here’s what I came up with.

Carbon Sequestration Project at Kemper will have a little overrun on costs–surprised?

Just looking at something like this on face makes one wonder how it could ever be expected to actually work. water and CO2 are the main waste products they go up the stack ignoring particulate matter. To take the CO2 and inject it underground under pressure requires energy which reduces the power output of the plant. This reduces the efficiency and significantly raise the cost of producing power. Its just a big science project.

Kemper Project in Mississippi, the prize project of the energy bozos–thought to be perfect because they could burn pulverized coal and pump the CO2 into the ground, now is three hundred percent over original estimates at 6 plus billion. I am certainly not surprised.

So, what does this mean for all the predictions for 2025-2030?

I mostly agree with this but also I must state that the pause is really a down turn that will last until 2030/35 and global temperature will drop about .25 degrees C during that period. After that the warming will continue again but at a much lesser rate than the past one from about 1975 to 2005

Bob Greene's avatarJunkScience.com

IPCC scientists says the pause could last 30 years.

Reuse of fracking water is a good development

This does seem to be significant and go a long way to stop the movement against hydraulic fracturing.

So now the reuse is posssible with a new process.
