Can’t realy blame the citizens they have been told this for close to two generations now. The ones I talk to can’t believe that the government would lie to them for they have also been brainwashed into believing that business (capitalism) are evil and can not be trusted. Only a powerful federal government can look out for them!
A sane person would think :
- Fossil fuels allow me to keep warm and comfortable
- Fossil fuels allow me to travel to work and to shopping
- Fossil fuels allow me to go from one end of the country to the other in five hours
- Fossil fuels bring food to my table
- Fossil fuels allow me to instantly communicate with people all over the world
- Fossil fuels keep me employed
- Fossil fuels keep me out of the squalor which humans suffered through for most of their existence
A progressive would think :
- CO2 is a greenhouse gas. We have to stop using fossil fuels, or some really bad things are going to happen. 97% of scientists agree with me.
It takes a lifetime of brainwashing to create humans that stupid and messed up.
