The Cycle of Disease – It’s Just our Time

COMMENT: Sir,

It’s interesting, since your post on Madagascar and the pneumonic plague, I have Surveilled a site dealing with medical news once a week. What’s really interesting is the resurgence of older well-known entities such as cholera
Zambia has been hard hit with over 2000 cases of cholera with close to 50 deaths. The university is closed as well as other institutions. It has migrated from the urban areas to the suburban areas. The armed forces have been called out to help. Tanzania has shut its borders with Zambia due to this. Kenya has had 4 kid cases of hospitalization.
Influenza strains are hitting geographic regions. The H3n2 is has hit Australia very hard and is currently hitting the UK. The US is also being infected. India has the H1N1 variant hitting them hard.

ProMED-mail post

The avian flu has led to the culling of birds in the Middle East particularly Egypt and Iran. Saudia Arabia just had 6 new cases. Russia and Swiss poultry also have cases.
China has Influenza B hitting them hard but cannot confirm type nor number of cases and comparison numbers.

When it rains…. it pours.

Keep up the good work

DK

REPLY: The influenza virus changes its genetic makeup every year and complies with guess what – cyclical analysis! This constantly changing virus presents a cyclical challenge to medical science, and consequently, this makes it impossible to create a single vaccine to prevent the disease for life. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) monitor each new strain of influenza virus as it appears. The gather data and then try to predict which may be the predominant virus in the following year’s flu season.  Scientists then use this data to develop a vaccine each year against the specific virus they predict will predominate. Sometimes they are correct, and sometimes they are off the mark.

The virus known as influenza is a master at evolving to elude the human immune response by mutating so quickly that it soon becomes unrecognizable. We are actually at war with this virus which is mutating to survive and beat us at our own game. There are actually several active flu strains in the world that run around. Each year, we try to evaluate which strains of flu virus are predominant in the United States and change the vaccine recipe as necessary according to this cycle in nature. The accuracy of the recipe determines how effective that year’s vaccine will be.

Make no mistake about it, this is nature’s way of thinning the herd. We can give it our best shot at trying to combat disease, but it responds to our actions and mutates. This is simply a war with nature determined to win.

This Flu Season Begins the Risk of a Pandemic 2018-2019

A possible new pandemic is forming from a deadly strain of flu emerging from Australia and will be headed to the UK as the normal flow of travels would take it. Britain will perhaps be hit with the worst flu season in 50 years. Already, there are about 170,000 cases of flu reported in Australia which is more than double this season than usual.

The strain of flu is called H3N2, and the number of flu deaths in Australia over winter has not yet been released, but it’s thought to be the worst in many years. The last major flu epidemic was in the 1968 pandemic which began in Hong Kong killing more than a million people worldwide. Flu pandemics have been linked to fluctuations in climate, and new research connects the world’s four most recent pandemics to the cyclical cooling of the Pacific Ocean near the equator.

The cyclical research correlating everything reveals that the four flu outbreaks that swept the world in the past 100 years all followed periods of global cooling. These were in 1918, 1957, 1968 and 2009 (in this last instance, the H1N1 “swine flu”). When sea-surface temperatures sank abnormally low, this correlates to large flu pandemics. This cooling is associated with  La Niña, a phase in a larger climate pattern. La Niña is the cool counterpart to El Niño, which is marked by unusually warm temperatures in the equatorial Pacific. It is now clear that both events alter weather patterns around the globe.

While the typical Transverse Wave cycle event would be every 22.75 years, but the Longitudinal Wave structure simultaneously exists and the complexity of these wave points to this season as turning up the risk factors for a pandemic flu season in 2018 and 2019.

Plague is Starting in Africa

Panic has ensued in Madagascar where a recent outbreak of the plague has claimed the lives of at least 24 people. Prime Minister Olivier Mahafaly Solonandrasana has announced a ban on all public gatherings and demonstrations in effect until the outbreak can be contained.

The plague is a deadly disease caused by the Yersinia pestis bacteria. It usually begins as the bubonic plague, which is spread from small mammals (such as rats) and fleas to humans. If detected early, the bubonic plague can generally be treated and controlled with antibiotics and proper environmental measures. However, half of all reported cases in Madagascar are the pneumonic plague –- the deadliest form of the disease.

The pneumonic plague is transmitted person to person. Since this form of the plague is airborne, it spreads extremely rapidly and can have catastrophic consequences. Those who contract the pneumonic plague must be treated immediately as it can be fatal within less than 24 hours of onset.

Health officials in Madagascar are now rushing to identify anyone who has come into contact with those affected. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), those at risk will be treated with antibiotics and possibly quarantined.

Formerly known as the “Black Death,” this is the same plague that claimed the lives of 50 million Europeans during the Middle Ages. The disease first reached Europe in October 1347 and quickly turned into a contagion that destroyed nearly 1/3 of the population.

The Black Plague is Back Showing Up in Arizona

This has caused a real flood of emails since it has started right on target. Our model of plagues we wrote : “We certainly seem due for a pandemicwhich likely will occur between 2017 and 2020 thanks to the abuse of antibiotics.” We wrote that January 27th, 2016. So far. health officials in two Arizona counties — Navajo County and Coconino County — have reported that fleas tested positive for Yersinia pestis, the bacteria that causes the Black Death plague.

In the major pandemic of the 14th century, things were not very clean and rodents roamed freely prospering in cities and houses. This Plague actually regularly appears in the American Southwest killing rodents and prairie dogs. Only occasionally has it made it to humans. Normally, it appears in fleas, rodents, rabbits, and predators which feed upon these animals. The danger is that this is transmitted by a bite. That means a flee bite can infect a human.

The symptoms of plague in humans generally appear within two to six days following exposure and include fever, chills, headaches, weakness, muscle pain, and swollen lymph glands. The disease can become spread throughout the bloodstream and/or pneumonic may appear in the lungs. Today, this is curable with proper antibiotic therapy if diagnosed and treated early.

Migrations Always Bring Infectious Diseases

A new report by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), has confirmed that there has been a sharp rise in disease since 2015 with the arrival of the refugees in Germany. The disease is tuberculosis and just being exposed to a person in the same restaurant carries the rise of you becoming infected as well. Of course raising this topic many will call it racism. Yet in fact, travel to Asia and if you even look sick, they pull you over and will send you to quarantine.

Back in 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue as they say and returned with more than discovering a new continent. He and his crew brought back a new disease to Europe – Syphilis. New skeletal evidence confirmed that Columbus and his crew brought back syphilis to Europe. In turn, Europeans brought disease to America that wiped out Indians.

Take AIDS or HIV. Scientists have identified the origin of HIV tracing it to a specific type of chimpanzee in West Africa. It was probably transmitted to humans and mutated into HIV when humans hunted these chimpanzees for meat.

Gaëtan Dugas (1953 – 1984), was a Canadian flight attendant who became regarded as “patient zero” for AIDS in the United States, although that was disputed by others claiming there were others around the same time. Nevertheless, regardless of who brought it from Africa to America, someone did. Such disease travels historically with migrations. The reintroduction of tuberculosis to Europe can end up being a serious epidemic in the years ahead.

Gardasil, considered the most dangerous vaccine on the market, may soon be pushed for infants

World Health Correlations

COMMENT: Hello Martin, love your work, have learned so much, as an engineer and innovator, your work and perspectives have given me amazing sight and perspective to which I am very grateful.

I diagnosed my son with a condition called MELAS, awful, and heart breaking, all the experts were wrong as usual and it was a fight to be heard and understood, only when sadly proven right at each stage did they start to listen and understand. But it was too late and he passed in my arms as we slept 25 months 16 days ago, aged 10.

He taught me a lot and made me push my brain and mind to try and figure out a way to save him. It brought me into so much new knowledge.
3 days ago another friend, 40, got cancer diagnosed. During discussion I realized something very significant. I am half Iranian half English, with a huge family in Tehran and friends.. my observation was that in the last 30 years, out of all of them, only 2 had cancer, both lived to 90 and both heavy smokers.
Then I dug and amazingly the cancer rate in U.K. Was nearly 4 times higher in the Iran., based on number of new incidents/1000/yr.

world-death-rates
Then I looked at the cancer incidence map worldwide and what I found was shocking. Complete opposite to expectations. Then I compared death rates map world wide on same incidence I.e. Deaths (all deaths all causes) incidents/1000/year, that blew my mind, then finally world wide map of number of billionaires in each country… then put all 3 maps together. This high level comparison sent shivers down my spine. Last time I had a moment like that was when I overlayed over 60 new product launches I was involved in or knew detail about onto your ecm, the ones that failed were all in line with your downturns and the ones that all succeeded were in the up cycle, even though some of the best products were the ones that failed.

Hence I would like to share the info graphic I have pulled together and for you to determine if it is value to comment from your analytical perspective.

REPLY: I am sorry to hear about your loss. It is not an easy thing. I lost my first son. It changes you, without a question. If someone in the medical field would care to assemble the symptoms and markers for each disease, I would be glad to program it using AI to help people reach the correct conclusion before it is too late.

The correlations that emerge are probably genetic. When you go to a doctor, they ask you about your family history. Most diseases are genetic. They can learn a lot from a genetic profile. That is not being shared with the patients in most cases.

Polio-Like AFM Disease Infecting Children

afm-cases-reported

new disease is starting to appear that is polio-like in nature and can paralyze children. This appears to be AFM, or acute flaccid myelitis, which is normally rare. The number of cases has doubled in the past year. In Seattle, Washington, eight children have been admitted with what appears to be AFM.

Acute flaccid myelitis is a rare illness that affects a person’s nervous system, specifically the spinal cord. Anyone can contract AFM from a variety of causes including viral infections. Polio was eliminated from the United States back in 1979. According to the CDC, this polio-like disease has been confirmed in 50 cases in 24 states from January 1–August 31, 2016.

Medical Conspiracy – Government Altering Death Certificate to Hide Superbugs

reuters-superbugs

Reuters has conducted a most interesting investigation. There is a major conspiracy going on that the government and hospitals are trying to cover up. The abuse of antibiotics has come back to haunt us. One bug in particular has been running around hospitals and the government is doctoring death certificates to prevent hospitals from being sued. It is known as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus, or commonly known as MRSA. This superbug is typically contracted in hospitals. Death certificates are being altered to protect hospitals and that means government is conspiring against its own people.

If they are alerting death certificates, they we have no idea the extent of the crisis. But one thing is sure. There must be a crisis for they would not alter just a few death certificates if it was not a widespread crisis.
