New UAH Lower Troposphere Temperature Data Show No Global Warming for More Than 18 Years

The corrected data fits what we experience not what the politicians tell us is happening!

Bob Tisdale's avatarBob Tisdale - Climate Observations

Dr. Roy Spencer introduced the updated and much corrected UAH atmospheric temperature data in his blog post Version 6.0 of the UAH Temperature Dataset Released: New LT Trend = +0.11 C/decade.  The new temperature anomaly data for the lower troposphere, mid troposphere and lower stratosphere are presently in beta form for comment. That is, they’re not official…yet.  I suspect the update will not go over well with the catastrophic-anthropogenic-global-warming crowd.  Links to the version 6.0 beta data are at the bottom of Roy’s post, which also contains a detailed discussion of the updates.  So if you have questions, please ask them at Roy Spencer’s blog through the above link.  This post is a simple data presentation.

Will Pope Francis Change Global Minds On Climate Change?

Its hard to believe that so many educated minds have fallen for the scam of Anthropogenic (man made) climate change but they have and its expected that all will come together in COP21 at the end of the year. And that will be the end of our current civilization which was and still is built on cheap energy.

Sea Ice Extent – Day 113 – 3rd Highest Global Sea Ice For This Day – Antarctic Sets 25th Daily Record For 2015

3rd Highest Global Sea Ice For This Day – Well above one standard deviation.

NCDC Hiding The Decline In US Winter Temperature

Tony Heller's avatarReal Climate Science

Andy DC dug up this 1993 NCDC document, which showed that US winter temperatures had remained essentially constant from 1896 to 1993.

ScreenHunter_8730 Apr. 19 22.44

That of course isn’t any use for funding, so they have since altered the data to make it appear to be warming.

multigraph3

The animation below shows how they cooled the past.

USHCNReportedVsMeasured

They used a pretty generic data tampering algorithm, of simply cooling the past linearly to create a non-existent warming trend.

ScreenHunter_8733 Apr. 20 06.30

By doing this, they managed to make the post-1920 cooling trend disappear, which is what political expediency requires.

NCDCUSWinter1993-2015

But it is worse than it seems – since 1993, US winter temperatures have plummeted, while NCDC shows the US continuing to warm.

Reader Survey

Of the TOTAL greenhouse effect of 33 degrees C maybe 10% is caused by CO2 and of that amount only 1/3 is at most from burning fossil fuels; so maybe today the total effect at 400 ppm is 1.1 degree C from burning fossil fuels. Natural cycles account of the rest which is 97% and I’d say that is conservative its probably more. The current pause is 100% natural.

What percentage of zero warming is Mann-made?

ScreenHunter_8369 Apr. 05 22.42

  1. Mostly Mann-made
  2. Equally Mann-made and natural
  3. Mostly natural
  4. Not interested in troposphere temperatures. Only do Urban Heat Island temperatures

Sustainability: A Fable For Our Time

This movement has it roots back even further with Thomas Malthus and his Malthusian catastrophe and his ‎Essay on Principle of Population which have been taken up by bill Gates and others as Gates recently presented at a TED conference. Malthus and Gates are wrong Malthus for reasonable reasons and gates because it is a drive for personal power. The sustainability concept itself is unsustainable since it’s principles are at cross purposes and can lead only to global disaster.

Michael D. Shaw's avatarJunkScience.com

We must journey back to March, 1987, and the United Nations document entitled Our Common Future: Report of the World Commission on Environment and Development, to discover what is probably the only universally agreed upon—if nebulous and contradictory—definition of “sustainable development,” the precursor of “sustainability,” viz.

No Underlying Global Temperature Increase For 20 Years

Not to worry they will make it hotter any way, what does Mother Nature know about this subject anyway!

A new term in the climate lexicon?

Climate fragility ??? We are going to need a new dictionary to understand what the heck they are talking about?

Bob Greene's avatarJunkScience.com

Forget the Middle East, Ukraine and Africa, the biggest security threat is climate fragility.   I’m sure it will be the term of choice when our inestimable Secretary of State picks it up at the G7.

Kyoto Revisited – President Obama’s Pledge For Paris (Part One)

Good analysis and in line with some of the work I have done on this same subject.

PART ONE OF TWO PARTS

For the seven years I have been contributing at this site, I have concentrated on explaining why renewable power just cannot replace coal fired power as a source of constant, regular, and reliable electricity.

So then, would a plan to remove almost a third of all coal fired power generation with nothing to replace it with sound like a rational option to take? While only around a third of coal fired power, this amounts to almost 10.5% of the total U.S. electrical power generation. At a time when U.S. power consumption is increasing, a plan to do this seems like a pretty extreme thing to do.

Scientists warn that we are about to pass a global warming tipping point.

ScreenHunter_8651 Apr. 17 05.58

While we may not yet have reached the “point of no return”—when no amount of cutbacks on greenhouse gas emissions will save us from potentially catastrophic global warming—climate scientists warn we may be getting awfully close.

Have We Passed the Point of No Return on Climate Change? – Scientific American

This sounds bad, but is actually excellent news. In 1989 they only gave us until the year 2000 to stop global warming, so this is actually quite a nice reprieve.
