The real impact Muslims had on the founding of America

By Bethany Blankley a re-post from Tavern Keepers

Obama recently claimed, “Islam has been woven into the fabric of America since its founding.” This is both true and false.

It is true in the sense that Islam posed a threat to America’s early existence. The North African Islamic Barbary Pirates proved to be a significant impetus towards uniting a divided colonial delegation to sign the Constitution and strengthen their Navy and Marine Corps.

The early Americans knew full well world history, which meant they were well aware that their new enemy had been invading the West since the 7th Century.

The Barbary Pirates had been attacking the West since the 13th Century and began attacking American ships after the War of Independence. Algerian Dey Muhammad declared war on the United States, creating a catalyst for two separate wars America fought against Tripoli (1801-1805) and Algiers (1815-1816).

In fact, their threat was so great that delegates to the newly formed American government urged their states to ratify the U.S. Constitution. They believed their survival depended on a strong federal union and a strong Navy to protect them from the Algerians.

In The Federalist No. 24, Alexander Hamilton asserted without a “federal navy . . . of respectable weight . . . the genius of American Merchants and Navigators would be stifled and lost.” Likewise, John Jay, in his letters, wrote, “Algerian Corsairs and the Pirates of Tunis and Tripoli” would compel the feeble American states to unite, since “the more we are ill-treated abroad the more we shall unite and consolidate at home.”

Conflict between America and Islam is centuries old. “From the Halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, We fight our country’s battles, In the air, on land, and sea;” U.S. Marines fought Muslims at great human cost. No one can forget the bravery of Marine Lieutenant Presley O’Bannon who famously, tragically, and fearlessly led Marines and mercenaries up the Nile River and across miles of desert to capture the Tripolitan port of Derna.

Nor can one forget that the ongoing conflict resulting from the Ottoman Empire’s demise continues throughout the Balkan, Crimean, Chechen, and Ukrainian regions. Centuries of strife that spanned three continents and caused the Great War and its tragic aftermath appear endless.

Obama’s claim is false if he suggests in any way that Muslims have positively contributed to American culture or history. Such a claim is historically false in its entirety, but also evidences taqqiya, Qur’an instructed deceit.

His claim also contradicts the blatantly obvious truth that no one appears to discuss.

What historians, the media, and political pundits fail to acknowledge is that Barack Hussein Obama’s ancestral legacy is rooted in the Arab African slave trade that would have been very much involved in the Barbary campaign against the West. The very enemies against which early Americans fought.

Obama’s father and father’s ancestors lived in the East African Arabic slave-trading region. Anthropologists point to cultural, mythological, historical and geographical traits to identify the meaning of names. Within the Arabic African lineage, the meaning of Barack Obama’s name is rooted in the violence of Islam.

“Barack” means “Allah’s blessing” and is the name of the winged creature that brought the Muslim prophet Muhammad to Paradise in a journey.

“Hussein” was not only Muhammad’s grandson’s name, but it indicates the status of Arab African traders and entrepreneurs who sold non-Muslims as slaves. “Obama” in Swahili means “lion” and “Osama,” which was the name of one of Muhammad’s key warriors.

Obama’s Arabic African heritage is inextricably linked to Islam, which is inextricably linked to slavery. (Muhammad’s institutionalization of slavery of non-Muslims is described in Sira of Ibn Ishaqas well as other historical documents.)

The non-African and non-Arab slave traders who bought people from Muslim wholesalers for 200 years represent a mere blip in the 1400-year legacy of Islamic slave trade— a slave trade that continues today.

Yes, “Islam has been woven into the fabric of America since its founding”—as an early threat to its existence. And Islam remains as perhaps the greatest threat to America’s survival. The only difference today, is that sadly many Americans do not know, understand, and value their history and in most aspects do not resemble their 18thCentury ancestors who were united against a visible enemy.

Too many Americans willfully choose to be ignorant. They refuse to demand their government protect them from threats both foreign and domestic, including removing Jihad training camps from American soil and removing a member of the Muslim Brotherhood from the White House and his colleagues who fund America’s enemies. 18th Century Americans responded with great sacrifice to the cry, “The British are Coming, The British Are Coming!”

Today, however, Americans who redefine the cry issued by “moderates” as “peaceful,” “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope. Allahu akbar!” do so to their detriment, enabling imminent and inevitable destruction to their country.

From The Heart of an Honest Muslim!

By Dr. Tawfik Hamid
“I am a Muslim by faith, a Christian by spirit, a Jew by heart, and above all I am a human being.”
Dr. Hamid is an Egyptian scholar and author of the following article.
001
I was born a Muslim and lived all my life as a follower of Islam.

After the barbaric terrorist attacks done by the hands of my fellow Muslims everywhere on this globe, and after the too many violent acts by Islamists in many parts of the world, I feel responsible as a Muslim and as a human being to speak out and tell the truth to protect the world and Muslims as well from a coming catastrophe and war of civilizations.

I have to admit that our current Islamic teaching creates violence and hatred toward non-Muslims.

We Muslims are the ones who need to change.

Until now we have accepted polygamy, the beating of women by men, and killing those who convert from Islam to other religions.

We have never had a clear and strong stand against the concept of slavery or wars, to spread our religion and to subjugate others to Islam and force them to pay a humiliating tax called jizia.

We ask others to respect our religion while all the time we curse non-Muslims loudly (in Arabic) in our Friday prayers in the mosques.

What message do we convey to our children when we call the Jews “descendants of the pigs and monkeys”?  [Yet, both Arabs and Jews are descendants of Ibrahim (Abraham)!]

Is this a message of love and peace, or a message of hate?

I have been into [Christian] churches and [Jewish] synagogues where they were praying for Muslims.

While all the time, we curse them, and teach our generations to call them “infidels”, and to hate them.

We immediately jump in a ‘knee jerk reflex’ to defend Prophet Mohammad when someone accuses him of being a paedophile while, at the same time, …we are proud with the story in our Islamic books that he married a young girl seven years old [Aisha] when he was above 50 years old.

I am sad to say that many, if not most of us, rejoiced in happiness after September 11th and after many other terror attacks.

Muslims denounce these attacks to look good in front of the media, but we condone the Islamic terrorists and sympathise with their cause.

Until now our ‘reputable’ top religious authorities have never issued a fatwa or religious statement to proclaim Bin Laden as an apostate, while an author, like Rushdie, was declared an apostate who should be killed according to Islamic Shari’a law just for writing a book criticizing Islam.

Muslims demonstrated to get more religious rights as we did in France to stop the ban on the hijab (head scarf), while we did not demonstrate with such passion and in such numbers against the terrorist murders. It is our absolute silence against the terrorists that gives the energy to these terrorists to continue doing their evil acts.

We Muslims need to stop blaming our problems on others or on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

As a matter of honesty, Israel is the only light of democracy, civilization, and human rights in the whole Middle East .

We kicked out the Jews with no compensation or mercy from most of the Arab countries to make them “Jews-free countries” while Israel accepted more than a million Arabs to live there, have their own nationality, and enjoy their rights as human beings. In Israel, women cannot be beaten legally by men, and any person can change his/her belief system with no fear of being killed by the Islamic law of ‘apostasy,’ while in our Islamic world people do not enjoy any of these rights.

I agree that the ‘Palestinians’ suffer, but they suffer because of their corrupt leaders and not because of Israel .

It is not common to see Arabs who live in Israel leaving to live in the Arab world.

On the other hand, we used to see thousands of Palestinians going to work with happiness in Israel , its ‘enemy.’  If Israel treats Arabs badly as some people claim, surely we would have seen the opposite happening.

We Muslims need to admit our problems and face them. Only then we can treat them and start a new era to live in harmony with human mankind.

Our religious leaders have to show a clear, and very strong stand against polygamy, paedophilia, slavery, killing those who convert from Islam to other religion, beating of women by men, and declaring wars on non-Muslims to spread Islam.
Then, and only then, do we have the right to ask others to respect our religion..
The time has com to stop out hypocrisy and say it openly
‘We Muslims have to Change!’

How Islamic is the Islamic State?

In principle this posting is good and the finer points of Islam may not matter. My view is much simpler Christ preached peace and separated the kingdom of God from the kingdom of man. While Mohammad spread his religion by war and conquest and Islam was never at peace in his life time. This makes it hard to make a case for tolerance for a belief structure that wants to either convert you or failing in that kill you.

President John Quincy Adams on Islam

The average American’s lack of awareness of the past has left our nation in an extremely vulnerable position. The multi-culturalism, pluralism, “diversity,” and political correctness that now blanket American culture mean that many are oblivious to and unconcerned about the threat that Islam poses to the American (and Christian) way of life. The Founders of the American Republic were not so dispossessed. They were well-studied in the ebb and flow of human history, and the international circumstances that could potentially impact America adversely. They, in fact, spoke openly and pointedly about the anti-American, anti-Christian nature of the religion of Islam.

Consider, for example, the writings of an early President of the United States, John Quincy Adams. Not only did Adams live during the founding era (born in 1767),

not only was his father a primary, quintessential Founder, but John Quincy was literally nurtured by his father in the vicissitudes and intricacies of the founding of the Republic. John Adams involved his son at an early age in his own activities and travels on behalf of the fledgling nation. John Quincy accompanied his father to France in 1778, became Secretary to the American Minister to Russia, was the Secretary to his father during peace negotiations that ended the American Revolution in 1783, served as U.S.foreign ambassador, both to the Netherlands and later to Portugal, under George Washington, to Prussia under his father’s presidency, and then to Russia and later to England under President James Madison. He served as a U.S.Senator, Secretary of State under President James Monroe, and then as the nation’s sixth President (1825-1829), and finally as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he was a staunch and fervent opponent of slavery. After his presidency, but before his election to Congress in 1830, John Quincy penned several essays dealing with one of the many Russo-Turkish Wars. In these essays, we see a cogent, informed portrait of the threat that Islam has posed throughout world history:

In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar, the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust, by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind. THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE.

Between these two religions, thus contrasted in their characters, a war of twelve hundred years has already raged. That war is yet flagrant; nor can it cease but by the extinction of that imposture, which has been permitted by Providence to prolong the degeneracy of man. While the merciless and dissolute dogmas of the false prophet shall furnish motives to human action, there can never be peace upon earth, and good will towards men. The hand of Ishmael will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him. It is, indeed, amongst the mysterious dealings of God, that this delusion should have been suffered for so many ages, and during so many generations of human kind, to prevail over the doctrines of the meek and peaceful and benevolent Jesus (Blunt, 1830, 29:269, capitals in orig.).

Observe that Adams not only documents the violent nature of Islam, in contrast with the peaceful and benevolent thrust of Christianity, he further exposes the mistreatment of women inherent in Islamic doctrine, including the degrading practice of polygamy.

A few pages later, Adams again spotlights the coercive, violent nature of Islam, as well as the Muslim’s right to lie and deceive to advance Islam:

The precept of the koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God. The vanquished may purchase their lives, by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet, may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to propagate the Moslem creed by the sword is always obligatory, when it can be made effective. The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force (Blunt, 29:274).

No Christian would deny that many Christians in history have violated the precepts of Christ by mistreating others and even committing atrocities in the name of Christ. However, Adams rightly observes that one must go against Christian doctrine to do so. Not so with Islam—since violence is sanctioned:

The fundamental doctrine of the Christian religion, is the extirpation of hatred from the human heart. It forbids the exercise of it, even towards enemies. There is no denomination of Christians, which denies or misunderstands this doctrine. All understand it alike—all acknowledge its obligations; and however imperfectly, in the purposes of Divine Providence, its efficacy has been shown in the practice of Christians, it has not been wholly inoperative upon them. Its effect has been upon the manners of nations. It has mitigated the horrors of war—it has softened the features of slavery—it has humanized the intercourse of social life. The unqualified acknowledgement of a duty does not, indeed, suffice to insure its performance. Hatred is yet a passion, but too powerful upon the hearts of Christians. Yet they cannot indulge it, except by the sacrifice of their principles, and the conscious violation of their duties. No state paper from a Christian hand, could, without trampling the precepts of its Lord and Master, have commenced by an open proclamation of hatred to any portion of the human race. The Ottoman lays it down as the foundation of his discourse (Blunt, 29:300, emp. added).

The Founders were forthright in their assessment of the nature and teachings of Islam and the Quran. Americans and their political leaders would do well to take a sober look at history. To fail to do so will be catastrophic.

America’s Pedagogical & Political Demise: A Roman Story

By Prof. Paul Eidelberg

The demise of America is proceeding without any serious resistance. Evangelical atheism is rampant. America’s most cherished values are being undermined by the university-bred doctrine of moral relativism, which denies any and all moral truths. College students have succumbed to the mindless adage “I’m okay, you’re okay.”

This nihilism is occurring in the midst of a war Islam is swaging against us while our golf-playing President, Barack Hussein Obama, intones the words “We are not at war with Islam,” as if 9/11never happened, and as if former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad never gleefully said “Death to America!”  Let’s sober up.

It’s well known that Muslims – never mind futile and misleading adjectives – are murdering and maiming Jews and Christians in several continents. To all but fools, this is a world war. The truth is that the “religion of peace” has been waging a punctuated war against the non-Muslims world since the advent of Mohammad in the seventh century.

If proof is wanted, the Center for the Study of Political Islam reported in its February 21, 2007 issue of FrontPageMagazine, that Muslims have slaughtered approximately 270 million people since Muhammad’s ascendancy.

And now there’s the Muslim Brotherhood and myriads of mosques in America and Europe, spewing hatred of Western Civilization. Their Imams have declared war against all “infidels” in the name of Islam’s deity, Allah.

Nevertheless, President Barack Obama has appointed to his Administration, including the Department of Homeland Security, several members of the Muslim Brotherhood, whose hostility toward the United States and the West are no secret.

Why is this subversion occurring with the compliance of the American Congress, and without large-scale public protests? Is the United States suffering from a massive mental disorder, moral indifferentism, or just plain cowardice?

Have college youth been corrupted by the academic doctrine of moral and cultural relativism? Are they now incapable of distinguishing between good from evil? Has their will to uphold American versus Islamic values been eviscerated by this moral and cultural relativism?

Have Christians and Jews in this country been so demoralized as to think that it is politically incorrect to describe ISIS decapitations of non-Muslims as evil? Or has relativism led them to believe that calling ISIS evil is to express nothing more than a personal dislike, comparable to one’s dislike for a particular flavor of ice cream?

Perhaps their mentors believe, and have taught them to believe, that notions of good and evil are purely subjective, that since they are not susceptible to measurement or empirical verification, they have no objective validity. This academic relativism fosters Nihilism, a rejection of America’s cherished values. Indeed, a nihilist rejects all claims to objective truth, and should therefore be deemed a degenerate.

Since this is the pronounced tendency of contemporary (as opposed to classical) liberals, we may call them liberal leftists. As college graduates, these liberal leftists become America’s most influential opinion makers and decision makers. Many are anti-American, and would not be incorrect to call egoists. Indeed, since they incline to moral relativism, they may well be called degenerates.

Is there any presidential candidate that has the courage to expose these degenerates without being accused of McCarthyism?

I exposed this degeneracy in an a 1968 article published in the Congressional Record, showing how it was being propagated by the then Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, J. William Fulbright, as well as by U.S. Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas – both arrant relativists. We have such people in today’s Supreme Court. They are also present in the State Department, as documented by former US Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton.

The Relativist-in-Chief is in the White House! Unless patriotic Congressmen and the American people speak up and expose this relativism – this academic subversion of the United States – the demise of this Republic will replicate the pedagogical and political decline of Rome.◙
