Yesterday evening President Trump delivered remarks to the press pool as he departed New Jersey for the return trip to the White House. [Video and Transcript Below]

[Transcript] – THE PRESIDENT: Hello, everybody. We had a very important call this morning at eight o’clock with Lebanon and with many leaders from different countries. And I think it was — first of all, it’s one of the most horrific things I’ve ever seen. But it was a very important call. It was a — really led with France and President Macron, who is very close, as you know, to Lebanon. And we had it — a lot of things were worked out.
We’re going to do a lot of help. We’ve got to help them. A lot of countries are going to be helping; I think 150. But it’s probably — the number of lost could be astronomical. They say at least 5,000 were injured, and that means many hundreds of people were killed. That is a horrible situation.
So, the United States is working very diligently. We have three planes going over, loaded up with medical supplies, food, and water. We’ll be sending additional planes. That took place this morning. It was a teleconference call with various leaders from — and (inaudible).
Please.
Q Mr. President, on that issue, how much aid is the U.S. pledging, in terms of financial assistance? And will there be conditions attached to it?
THE PRESIDENT: I haven’t given a number, but it’ll be substantial. On a humanitarian basis, we have to do it. We have to do it. It’s — you’d almost say, “How does a country survive such a tragedy?” It was at a level — I have people over there; they said this is at a level that we’ve never seen before — the blast. They’ve never seen anything like it. So, we’ll be helping them and substantially.
We’ve had three major planes already over with a lot of medical — mostly medical equipment. It’s — various things to help. We have some excellent military that do this, and they reported back that they’ve never seen anything like this before. So, it’s a horrific situation, but we’ll help.
Q Mr. President, there is a lot of criticism today from Democrats about your executive orders. How do you see talks going forward? Do you think talks will start again?
THE PRESIDENT: So, the Democrats were just unwilling to do anything, and all they wanted to think about was how to steal an election. We discussed it yesterday, Jeff, where they wanted all sorts of things having to do with mail-in voting. They wanted no signature verification. They were asking for things that just had nothing to do with what we’re talking about. And we’ve been going through this routine for a long time — a number of weeks — and it was time to act.
And actually, we’ve been largely praised. We have to get money out to the people. It was China’s fault. They did this horrific thing. It was China’s fault. We have to get money out to the people.
So, I would say — I mean, you may say that, you know, you’ve heard some negatives, but I’ve heard mostly positives. Mostly positives, even from people that you would least think would be very positive.
Q Do you want the talks to start again?
THE PRESIDENT: I hear that’s what the Democrats want to do now. They want — look, they were not interested in doing what they had to do. Their big point of discussion was bailouts. They wanted to bail out poorly run, Democrat states, like — you know, I could name them. I could give them to you right now. But why do it? Because you know the same states as I do — and cities. And we don’t — we’re not going to do that. We’ll help, but we’re not going to do numbers. They talked about a number of a trillion dollars. We can’t do that.
Jonathan.
Q On the issue of the unemployment insurance — the $400: There was some criticism from Democrats saying that a lot of states can’t afford to do their part, to do the $100. Would the federal government up — would you up what you’re willing to give?
THE PRESIDENT: (Inaudible.) We have a system where we can do 100 percent or we can do 75 percent. They’d pay 25. And it’ll depend on the state. And they’ll make an application, we’ll look at it, and we’ll make a decision. So it may be they’ll pay nothing in some instances. It may be they’ll — a little bit like the National Guard. You know, the National Guard, as you know, sometimes will pay all of it depending on the tragedy or whatever it may be — the disaster — and sometimes the state will pay 40 percent, 25 percent, 10 percent, or nothing, depending on how it’s worked out. So this —
Q What about the states that can’t afford to chip in?
THE PRESIDENT: We can make a decision on that on individual states with an application.
Okay.
Q Mr. President, is it time for you to personally step in on the talks and maybe give Speaker Pelosi a call, invite her to the Oval Office?
THE PRESIDENT: Well, I’ve been involved personally, and — you know, through my representatives, who are wonderful. And we have additional people, too. But I’m involved very — you know, look, I’ve been on the phone a lot over the last three or four days. And I think it actually works better if we do it the way we’re doing it.
We’ve gotten much of what we wanted without having to give up anything, and that’s very good. You can’t beat that. You can’t beat the deal we’ve made. We’ve gotten much of what we wanted, and they didn’t get what they wanted. And they would have — and I guess they still could, in all fairness. I mean, I hear that Nancy Pelosi wants to call and she wants to see if she can do something. But they’re much more inclined to make a deal now than they would’ve been two days ago.
Q If she calls, would you speak to her?
THE PRESIDENT: Yeah, I’d talk to her.
Q Mr. President, you mentioned the Postal Service. We’ve seen some cutbacks. Is now the right time to be doing that? And is it going to be prepared for November? Would you think about doing any sort of actions on your own?
THE PRESIDENT: Well, I didn’t speak to the Postmaster General in the Post Office. I know this: He’s a very good businessman. He’s very successful. And I know he wants to make the Post Office at least somewhat lose a lot less money than — they’ve lost so much money over the decade. Nobody has ever — nothing loses money like the Post Office. And he wants to make it successful. He wants to make it so it can operate, so that you don’t have to give it $25 billion a year to sustain itself.
So, you’d really have to ask him those questions, but he wants to make it self-sustaining and successful. He’s a very, very smart guy. He’s a great businessman. So let’s see what he can do.
Q Do you have confidence in the Postal Service for November?
THE PRESIDENT: Well, I have confidence that they’re going to make it into something. But, as you know, it’s been losing massive amounts of money over the last number of decades. Massive amounts of money. This is not something new. This is something that’s been taking place for a long time. It loses a tremendous amount of money.
Q But do you — there is some criticism that the Postmaster’s policies is what’s causing the mail delays. Do you think now is the time to be delaying the mail? And should there be some infusion of money for the election?
THE PRESIDENT: Well, in light of the stories that are coming out about all of the problems with mail-in voting, whether it’s the congressional race — Carolyn Maloney, in New York, where they called it and they don’t even have the ballots. The whole thing is crazy.
There’s one that just came across my desk, and I’m going to look into it, but I hear it’s a catastrophe — on mail-in voting. We just can’t have that. It’s a — you got to have an honest election. And if it’s not going to be an honest election, you have to call them out.
Q Mr. President, you were at the home of your friend, Stanley Chera, for the fundraiser.
THE PRESIDENT: Who passed away due to COVID.
Q Right.
THE PRESIDENT: And he’s a great man. He was a great person. He was a very early supporter. He just thought — he was a very successful real estate man. I knew him in New York. One of the most successful. And he was really one of my early supporters. He said, “Trump is going to win.” He was so — he said, “You don’t understand…” Right from the day I came down the escalator with our First Lady — our future First Lady — he said, “You don’t understand: Trump is going to win.”
And he said that to the smartest people in New York, and he said it to richest people, and he said it the poorest people. He said, “You don’t understand Trump. He’s going to win.” And he was right. And he was very much involved. But he was diagnosed, you know, a number of weeks ago. He went to the hospital. And unfortunately, he didn’t make it.
And he was just a fantastic person. One of the most charitable people you’ll ever meet. He helped a lot of people.
Okay?
Q Mr. President, did you say that you want to permanently cut the payroll tax? Or is it just a temporary cut?
THE PRESIDENT: It may be permanent. We’re looking into it. Right now, we have it cut. It’s going to a certain time, as you know. And we’ll take it out until the end of the year, and then I’m going to make a decision as to, number one, an extension; and, number two, making it permanent and no reimbursement.
Q What about Social Security? That funds the Social Security trust fund.
THE PRESIDENT: Well, what we’re doing is we reimburse through the general fund, not through Social Security. This will have no impact on Social Security. We’re going to impact — we’re going to, through the general funds, reimburse. This will have zero impact on Social Security.
Q Mr. President —
THE PRESIDENT: And I’ve been (inaudible) at Social Sec- — we protect Social Security.
Q (Inaudible.)
THE PRESIDENT: Because, you know, it’s a beautiful thing what’s happening. You look at our markets, how well they’re doing that, in a pandemic, we’re going to hit — we’re very close to hitting new stock market highs. And, in some instances — as an example, NASDAQ — we’ve hit the highest it’s ever been. I think 14 or 15 days have set records. So, that’s a great achievement.
We’re going to have tremendous growth, and a lot of good things are happening. But that’s going to come out of the general fund, not out of Social Security.
Please.
Q Mr. President, how long do you think you can pay uninsurance? It looks like only four or five weeks.
THE PRESIDENT: We’ll be able to do it as long as we deem it necessary. And I will say this: The Democrats have called. They’d like to get together. And we say: If it’s not a waste of time, we’ll do it. But if it is a waste of time, it doesn’t make sense.
Thank you all very much. Have a good flight. Thank you.
Forget the popcorn but remember the antacid and keep a copy of Trump’s latest campaign ad, the ‘ObamaGate’ video on hand, because the Democrat National Convention gets underway a week from this Monday.
“This new ad from the Trump campaign sets up a narrative they will use against Democratic presumptive nominee Joe Biden, accusing him and former President Barack Obama of having conspired to undermine the Trump administration from the start. (RealClearPolitics, Aug. 6, 2020)
““It’s a real conspiracy and no one is talking about it,” the ad states.”
The Convention will be the Grand Finalé of Election 2016 spread over three not-so-short days.
It will be strictly digital, strictly digital being Social Distancing Democrat style.
Viewers will be repeatedly warned that going out to vote on November 3 is guaranteed to have them catch the virus, and will be urged to mail-in their ballots instead.
But the overriding theme of the 3-day convention will be “IT” (everything bad) is President Donald Trump’s fault. The pandemic (now in decline), the mobs rampaging out on the streets—“EVERYTHING!”
The pandemic known as Covid-19 is all Trump’s fault. He must have snuck into China and brought it back, and like Johnny Appleseed spread it through the whole frontier.
Systemic racism , which only came about after Nov. 8, 2016 is all his fault too, themes you’ll hear ad nauseum as the desperado Dems let the public in on who will be Joe Biden’s mouthpiece as vice president.
“The speaking lineup for this month’s Democratic National Convention is beginning to take form, with several high-profile Democrats securing spots. (The Hill, Aug. 7, 2020)
“Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), a progressive superstar, is expected to have some sort of speaking slot, a House member told Politico, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and 2016 presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will also speak, according to Axios.”
Yes, you read that right. AOC is not just a leader of the Squad but a verifiable Democrat. Besides, DNC organizers had to do something to keep the Bernie Sanders’ gang clamor down to a dull roar.
“Warren and Clinton are reportedly slated to speak on Aug. 19, the day before former Vice President Joe Biden will formally accept the 2020 Democratic nomination. (The Hill)
No telling which one will out screech the other.
“Other Democrats expected to have speaking slots are Biden’s wife, Jill Biden, whom Joe will not confuse as his sister this time, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and, of course, “Resistance” leaders Barack and Michelle Obama. (The Hill)
“Both Warren and Harris are known to be on Biden’s shortlist to be his running mate.
“Neither the Democratic National Committee nor the convention immediately responded to requests for comment from The Hill.”
Of course not, who needs to get back to any news outlet when the entire digital world is their oyster.
“The convention has largely been relegated to digital events so participants can observe social distancing and other health guidance during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Biden was originally slated to deliver his acceptance speech from Milwaukee, but will now do so virtually from Delaware, his home state.” (The Hill)
We won’t know until Aug.17-20 whether BLM and antifa activists will be told to tone it down in order to get all eyes and ears on convention speakers, or to beef up street violence in order to show that the president’s not in control.
“On Tuesday, President Trump joined FOX Business’ Lou Dobbs for an exclusive interview where the two discussed several topics including the 2020 presidential election, the coronavirus pandemic, and U.S.-China relations. (PublishedReporter, Aug. 6, 2020)
“Trump called into the Dobbs’ show for a live half-hour of details on democrats including talks about the investigation taking part by U.S. Attorney John Durham which Dobbs’ ensured to ask about before the interview concluded and Trump said that the probe, requested by United States Attorney General William Barr, has uncovered “breathtaking” evidence about the “corrupt” origins of the Russia investigation, according to Trump.”
Meanwhile, for the sake of holding on to sanity, download the ObamaGate video and keep it on hand between August 17 and August 20.
This is what the Democrats carried forth all the way from the 2016 election—and can’t possibly walk back.
President Trump signed executive orders on Saturday to provide relief while the Democrats are more interested in trying to hurt people just to win the White House. Trump has provided more aid to people who have been devasted by this coronavirus pandemic charade. Trump has included the extension of the $400 weekly unemployment benefits and he has granted a payroll tax holiday for workers making less than $100,000. Trump came out and bluntly accused congressional Democrats of “stonewalling” negotiations. Trump said:
“Through these four actions, my administration will provide immediate and vital relief to Americans struggling at this difficult time.”
The left-wing press has his hands tied that he cannot fire Fauci who belongs in prison. He is forced to simply use executive order to do what the Democrats refuse to do. He also said he’s weighing additional income tax relief and capital gains tax cuts.

Mr. President:
In your interview with EWTN anchor Tracy Sabol, you lamented the injustice that protesters may crowd the streets and malls with no COVID-19 restrictions while churches are forced to shut down. Clearly you see that the radical-left is using COVID-19 as a political tool to lock down on religion, so why can’t an executive order be issued that would make Americans immune to state orders to close the churches? With discrimination cited as your grounds, you’d put the enemy to shame.
On May 22, you declared that churches are “essential places” that should be opened “right away” and said you would “override” any governors who stood in the way of your plan to reopen the churches, so why not override them now via executive order? The fake upping of COVID-19 cases in June was nothing more than a deep-state scheme to close the church again so we ask that you not take these fraudulent figures seriously. The number of new COVID-19 cases is virtually nil, at least according to doctors who tell the truth.
It behooves you to take action, because as Archbishop Vigano pointed out to you in his open letter, we are witnessing the latter-day war between Lucifer and the children of God — a war in which the troops need to be nourished — and just when added grace was needed to keep patriots above water the holy cisterns were strategically cut off by these political pharaohs in the governor seats. The enemy has craftily played its cards in gaining the advantage over America, so play your cards against them by forbidding the state closure of churches. This not only would place America back on its feet but would give you the winning edge in November.
It’s like a farm you want to grow. You have a lot of good things sprouting up, like enhanced economy, stopping abortion, guarding our borders, and bolstering our military and police. Skill and industry will certainly play a part in bringing a good harvest but what is really needed now is holy irrigation, which would quickly be restored upon reopening the churches.
Because one thing is for certain: without replenishing America through the reopening of churches, your farm will dry up to the glee of deep-state socialists who have planned this drought from the beginning. The closing of churches over COVID-19 has been a key part of the enemy plan to cripple America and empower the global elite, evidenced now with the sudden wave of civil violence that has spread across our land. There is no denying the direct correlation between the closing of churches and the outbreak of violence, so let’s open the churches to squelch the flame and irrigate your plans for a bumper harvest in the coming year!

Recently, in an open letter to the American people, former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, described the current assault on law enforcement as a spiritual battle between good and evil. Former General Flynn, wrote his open letter as a guest column that was published exclusively by the Western Journal. He stated that:
The biblical nature of good versus evil cannot be discounted as we examine what is happening on the streets of America… It’s Marxism in the form of Antifa and the Black Lives Matter movement versus our very capable and very underappreciated law enforcement professionals, the vast majority of whom are fighting to provide us safe and secure homes, streets and communities.
In the letter, Flynn urged American Christians to not only pray but to take action:
As Christians, shouldn’t we act? We recognize that divine Providence is the ultimate judge of our destiny. Achieving our destiny as a freedom-loving nation, Providence compels us to do our part in our communities.
Such a strong statement of faith likely fell upon deaf ears in the secular media and in our secular society. But, for Christians, there is much more there that meets with deep recognition as words that ring true. Unfortunately, the violent insurgency rampaging in America’s cities are at the hands of Marxist-led anarchists, Antifa terrorists and the militant arm of Black Lives Matter revolutionaries will likely not end until some time after the elections. And, when Donald Trump is re-elected, is anyone fool enough to think that the terrorist triumvirate will cease and desist? It would seem that the intensity of violence at the expense of the common people would only increase.
Flynn sees something more than the average American sees, and the average informed citizens have pieced enough information together to sense he is speaking the truth. But, the general public is in a state of fear, not only from the panic of the pandemic, but from the insurrectionists. This is not random rebelliousness. Democrat leaders, in conjunction with outside global elements, seem to not only allow the insurrectionists free reign as they have told their police to stand down, they also seem to condone it—even promote the violence perpetrated upon their own citizens and against law enforcement officials.
Democrat leaders in specific states started the process of disobedience when they refused to allow local policing agencies to cooperate with federal ICE investigations. This represented actions of separation from the federal laws protecting our citizens. In this stage of rebellion, Democrat mayors and governors defied federal law enforcement agencies. Is it such a mystery as to who is behind the current insurrection? In all honesty, the rebellion began the day the Democrats began to take the Donald Trump candidacy seriously. That is when the treason commenced.
What Michael Flynn is telling Americans resonates with millions of Christians across the nation. Yet, there are many Christians who wear the name of being a Christian, yet they do not demonstrate their faith, or exercise it. Flynn gave voice to what many people truly understand; yet, there are those who would prefer not to take action, to “get involved.” Nevertheless, for those Christians of faith who practice what they believe in, Flynn’s words are like a true call to spiritual battle as Providence “encourages us in this battle against the forces of evil to face our fears head-on.”
General Flynn is totally serious:
This action is needed at the local, state and federal levels. Action is also required in the economic, media, clerical and ecclesiastical realms. Decide how you can act within your abilities. Stand up and state your beliefs. Be proud of who you are and what you stand for. And face, head-on, those community ‘leaders’ who are willing to allow dark forces to go beyond peaceful protests and destroy and violate your safety and security.
But, many people feel powerless, or are paralyzed in fear. So, what are the general’s practical recommendations for action?
Yet, there are several other actions. This is an election year, despite the rebellion being fomented by the Democrat leadership. “We the People” are in the midst of a battle—a Cosmic War of biblical proportions.
It is also advisable to take action in any of the following ways:
1) Prayer for all candidates of choice, or pray for those who are working for the campaigns (know names); offer to form a prayer group with other volunteer workers.
2) Tell the truth – share what you know about the candidates and do not allow others who spread lies, or spew false witness, to get away with it. Stand up for truth, wherever you may be, unless you cannot defend it with authority. If lacking in defense of the truth, study more, pray more. Just start over!
3) Share the truth – if confident to use the internet, use email, and other social media means to share what you know as the truth, do so! (be discerning and knowledgeable). Do not get caught in snares or lost in the weeds.
Safer places to share are email exchanges where there are people of faith who can reinforce one another. Facebook, which is unreceptive to people of faith, is not the best source to engage in social media. They shadow ban, obstruct, harass, and place people in FB jail, or suspend people’s accounts. Be ready. On the other hand, USA.Life uses Christian, conservative, and patriotic algorithms, and is much more supportive.
4) Write the truth as a commenter, blogger, contributor, or columnist. Depending on one’s capability and/or passion, one can begin writing more than a few characters or a few sentences.
5) Join with those who seek the truth – Proactively look for groups you identify with as it will provide reinforcement and camaraderie. Some groups simply share information to help members become more informed and knowledgeable about what is going on in their community, state, or in the nation. Join where there is a “fit” or where you feel welcome and a sense of common cause.
6) Join with those who seek to promote or protect a viable candidate who should be elected to office, on whatever level you may feel comfortable. Stretch yourself, and push to work for a candidate even if it may mean sacrificing valuable time or energy. In other words, volunteer for a specific campaign or “noble cause.”
7) Join with a campaign to work on a specific issue that you consider important, or start a campaign that you feel may be important to your community.
There are many other activities that are vital to this fight. However, anything to be done should be done with the right motivation.
In this light, it is important to hold onto a point Flynn made: “We are ‘one nation under God’ and it is our individual liberties that make us strong, not liberties given to our government. Our government has no liberty unless and until ‘we the people’ say so.”
This was a rather funny and epic moment from President Trump’s press conference in Bedminster, New Jersey. A member of the press pool complains that the room is not following NJ rules on social distancing. President Trump reminds the reporter that political activity is excluded and this is a form of “peaceful protest”. lol
Tonight at 7:00pm President Trump is scheduled to deliver a rare press conference from Bedminister, New Jersey. Unknown topics.
