This is a very dangerous situation with really bad consequences for everyone there is no upside and really bad downsides so it makes no sense to me moving into this conflict at higher and higher levels..

Protect Hillary and Obama at all costs. The Libya fiasco was a gun running operation as everyone knew designed to topple al-Asaad. Which was a huge mistake as Syria was a client state of Russia. The net result of this insane policy is that it pits Russia and America as enemies over something of no consequence.
