Announcing via Truth Social, President Trump has outlined his selection for Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency in term-2.

President Trump announced his intent to nominate former New York Congressman, Lee Zeldin, to the position.

Lee Zeldin is an attorney, and his announced nomination caught the DC proletariat off-guard.  The announcement is an unusually prominent location in the line-up presentation given the generally obscure nature of the agency.   Deregulation appears to be a significant agenda item in the T-2 administration.

Washington DC – […] The selection of Zeldin, a vocal Trump ally in Congress during his first term, was a surprise after Andrew Wheeler, who served as the second EPA chief during Trump’s first term, was widely thought to be the frontrunner for the post.

At EPA, Zeldin will carry out Trump’s energy and environmental agenda, which includes pulling back Biden-era rules on climate and air pollution and potentially rescinding millions of dollars in funding for clean energy under the Inflation Reduction Act. And the administration is expected to take a more aggressive stance in challenging California’s autonomy in enforcing environmental standards that are more stringent than those set by the federal government — many of which picked up as models for more than a dozen other blue states.

Trump and his adviser Elon Musk have also included the agency as a target in their calls to radically shrink the government bureaucracy — and potentially move many of the federal jobs out of Washington.

“Lee, with a very strong legal background, has been a true fighter for America First policies,” Trump said in a statement. “He will ensure fair and swift deregulatory decisions that will be enacted in a way to unleash the power of American businesses, while at the same time maintaining the highest environmental standards, including the cleanest air and water on the planet. He will set new standards on environmental review and maintenance, that will allow the United States to grow in a healthy and well-structured way.”

On X, Zeldin wrote that his selection to run EPA is an “honor.”  (read more)

President Trump Nominates Elise Stefanik to be U.S Ambassador to the United Nations

A predictable, pragmatic and very reasonable outcome of the U.N. dynamic.  President Trump has nominated Elise Stefanik to be the U.S Ambassador to the United Nations.

The U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. has a representative role within many topics and matters of geopolitical concern.  However, if we are to be entirely non-pretending, the primary role of the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. is to protect the nation state of Israel from global geopolitical attacks.  Stefanik is an excellent choice.

(Via ABC) – President-elect Donald Trump selected Rep. Elise Stefanik to be his U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, multiple Trump officials told ABC News.

“I am honored to nominate Chairwoman Elise Stefanik to serve in my Cabinet as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Elise is an incredibly strong, tough, and smart America First fighter,” Trump said in a statement to ABC News. (read more)

This nomination will permit President Trump to deflect internal criticism for the pending solution toward the Israel-Hamas war.

Do you remember what we discussed in July:

The Trump Doctrine (as predicted) – After talking to Mohamed bin Salman (MbS) in Saudi Arabia, President Trump will call Egyptian President Fattah al-Sisi, while simultaneously telling all regional players that fighting immediately stops and Sisi is now leading the reconciliation effort.

PA/Hamas leadership will balk. President Trump will then tell Qatar to kick out the Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood leaders (“Drive them out” 2.0) or they will face economic sanctions, not from congress, from Trump.

Turkish President Recep Erdogan will be told to stick a sock in it, and he’d better not give a home base to Hamas again [FAFO].

President Trump will then tell Hamas leadership they need to live in Gaza; like actually live in the region they presumably lead – no more hiding in Qatar. President Trump will follow up with a conversation with President al-Sisi to make part of the peace deal a regional rule that all Gaza political leadership must live in Gaza.

Jordan, Syria and Kuwait will think President Trump is nuts but keep quiet because President Trump might be willing to prove he’s nuts – and eventually everyone will call President Sisi to find out the date for the peace summit.

After lunch, President Trump calls President Putin because that conflict is easier to solve.

That’s the Trump doctrine!

Last week, Qatar told Hamas to leave.

President Trump Names Stephen Miller as Deputy Chief of Policy for Term 2

President Trump has announced that Stephen Miller will be the Deputy Chief of Policy for the next administration.  Miller will work closely with President Trump and the legislative liaison to organize and prioritize the flow of actionable policy goals.

Miller will also man the White Board and check off the promises kept!

Associated Press – NEW YORK (AP) — President-elect Donald Trump is naming longtime adviser Stephen Miller, an immigration hard-liner, to be the deputy chief of policy in his new administration.

Confirming the appointment, Vice President-elect JD Vance posted a message of congratulations on Monday to Miller on X and said, “This is another fantastic pick by the president.” The announcement was first reported by CNN.

Miller is one of Trump’s longest-serving aides, dating back to his first campaign for the White House. He was a senior adviser in Trump’s first term and has been a central figure in many of his policy decisions, particularly on immigration, including Trump’s move to separate thousands of immigrant families as a deterrence program in 2018.

Miller has also helped craft many of Trump’s hard-line speeches, and was often the public face of those policies during Trump’s first term in office and during his campaigns.

Since leaving the White House, Miller has served as the president of America First Legal, an organization of former Trump advisers fashioned as a conservative version of the American Civil Liberties Union, challenging the Biden administration, media companies, universities and others over issues such as freedom of speech and religion and national security. President Trump Appoints Tom Homan to Position of “Border Czar” in Charge of Deportation Program

Posted originally on the CTH on November 10, 2024 | Sundance

Very smart strategy here.  The “Border Czar” position gains authority and power directly from the office of the president.  The “Border Czar” is a special presidential appointee with specific instructions and charged authority.  There is no confirmation process for a “czar” position, who operates with the power granted by the Office of the United States President.

Many people wanted to see Homan as DHS Secretary, but this is actually a more foundational and targeted job.

Solid move, because Tom Homan can work with Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Bureau of Prisons, as well as FBI, State and local law enforcement.

Don’t forget to eat your winnamins.
