It took decades for the politically correct, progressive and insufferable swamp monsters to establish total control of our universities, our corporations, our special interests groups, Hollywood, our professional sports leagues and, most importantly, our federal, state and local governments. It will take another four years for President Donald Trump to “drain the swamp,” but he has made incredible progress in his first term. Clearly, President Trump is the vaccine that, for decades, patriotic Americans prayed would emerge and destroy this swamp virus.

The left’s control of our institutions did not happen overnight. It took many years for them to establish total domination. It helped that, for over a quarter of a century, the Republican Party did not offer vigorous opposition to the Democrats. As a result, liberals dominated the courts and our bureaucracies, free speech was squelched at our universities and advocacy of a politically correct “climate change” agenda became mandatory in corporate America.
From the departure of President Ronald Reagan in 1989 until the Republican Party’s nomination of Donald Trump in 2016, the GOP was led by an accommodating moderate wing that wanted to work with Democrats and not defeat them.
The result was that jobs kept leaving under the auspices of “free trade” deals that helped foreign countries much more than the United States. Factories were closed and manufacturing jobs became scarce. Millions of working-class Americans faced poverty and despair due to the loss of jobs and drug addiction thanks to the flood of illegal drugs which poured into the country.
Prior to President Trump, the southern border was never secured, and millions of illegal immigrants flowed into the country. This led to loss of more jobs and lower wages for those still working.
For establishment Republicans and Democrats, there was more agreement than disagreement. All of that changed with the miraculous nomination of Donald Trump in 2016. Finally, a presidential nominee advocated “America First.” This was chilling to his many enemies which included the GOP establishment, the Democrats, the Deep State bureaucracy, the media, and all the various components of the deadly swamp.

When the swamp is in charge, the Deep State monsters do very well. Thus, their wages continue to rise, their access to power remains in place and their invites to the best parties never stop. In contrast, average Americans are ignored and abandoned.
With the arrival of Trump, Americans had a presidential candidate who finally cared about their plight. He was the first Republican presidential candidate since Reagan to connect with working class Americans. It is no surprise that he won Rust Belt states in the 2016 election that Republicans had not captured in decades.
This success was not easy for Donald Trump. Along the way, the swamp tried everything to derail his nomination, then his election and even his inauguration. After he took the office, the swamp did not rest, but decided to go into overdrive to force him to exit the presidency.
An illegal spying operation that started during his campaign continued during his presidency. The goal was to uncover supposed “Russian collusion.” Of course, it was all a hoax, but it did not stop a corrupt Department of Justice from launching a Special Counsel investigation led by the incompetent Robert Mueller, who filled his legal team with biased Democratic Party supporters and donors.
Not surprisingly, the President was eventually exonerated, after two years and almost $40 million in expenditures. It was quickly followed by the Ukrainian hoax and a completely partisan impeachment charade.
This was possible because from the beginning of his tenure, the President was victimized by members of his administration. For example, his conversations with foreign leaders, such as the President of Ukraine, were leaked to the media. This has not happened in previous administrations, but Donald Trump has been treated worse and subjected to more abuse than any President in modern American history.

The swamp attempted a political coup of President Trump. Fortunately, it did not work, but his enemies are continuing to use every possible trick to deny his re-election. From politicizing the coronavirus to trying to force universal mail-in ballots, Trump’s enemies are not resting. They are even promoting books by a disgruntled family member and his lawbreaking former attorney.
From now until November 3, the swamp will use anything and everything to defeat President Trump. They know that their biggest ally is a corrupt media that provides 92% negative coverage of President Trump and total support for the incompetent Joe Biden.
Despite this onslaught of horrific treatment, President Trump continues to succeed, which drives his swamp enemies crazy. Even the mention of President Trump’s name will cause some of his opponents to get hysterical. Americans can see evidence of this madness on the streets of the country over the past few months.
No other President could have politically survived this hateful arsenal launched against him by the swamp, but Donald Trump is no ordinary politician. In his 2016 election, then candidate Donald Trump promised to “drain the swamp.” He had no idea how large and powerful his swamp enemies had become after decades of unchallenged control.
In this election, the President is more aware of his enemies and their power. He also has an impressive record of accomplishment to offer to the voters of America.
The 2020 presidential election will be the most important one in our nation’s history. Our choice is to revert to total Deep State control and elect a politician who has been doing their bidding throughout his 47-year career or re-elect our President.
The Deep State swamp is truly a virus that has infected our country in many ways. Our only effective treatment is re-electing the vaccine that will finally defeat this destructive virus, President Donald Trump.
RNC Convention Part 2
The Republican convention was much better than the strange, masked, virtual show the Democrats put on. Even some analysts on CNN admitted it. Trump should also get a larger bounce than what Biden received.
The wrap up day began with a Democrat. Kamala Harris decided to stage a ‘prebuttal’ to Trump’s speech later in the evening. Why Sleepy Joe didn’t do it is anyone’s guess. My guess is the Democrats want him talking as little as possible. Even Pelosi doesn’t want him debating Trump.
Trump broke precedent and made his speech at the White House. The Democrats wondered if he broke the law. Look for Pelosi to begin another round of impeachment hearings over it. It was unusual for Trump to use the White House as the background, but this has been a very unusual year with Bolshevik traitors trying to remove him from office, so I say we should give him a pass.
The president’s speech was easily twice as long as Biden’s and it was also more effective. Many of us conservatives want to know he’s still committed to draining the swamp as well as keeping America as his primary focus. Nationalism is needed to balance out his opponent’s globalism. We needed to hear that someone cares about our rights—especially our First and Second Amendment ones. He cares about all races and wants us to prosper and have jobs. Trump remains our last, best hope to maintain our Republic.
During the convention, some NBA players decided to stage a boycott. That’s their right of course, but it further damages the NBA, which has already been politicized by the left. What should be entertainment and a welcome distraction from the virus and violent protests is gone. I stopped watching the NBA after they genuflected to communist China. If the players are upset about a black man getting shot, they should play and donate their capacious salaries to the family.
We’ve already lost baseball (this season was a joke) and we’ll probably lose the NFL, too. Good riddance to all professional sports if they all want to take knees to our flag while turning their venues into political fields for protest.
Trump wants to return to the America I knew when I was younger. He may be the last hope against a rapidly unfolding dystopian future.

This might be a strange subject heading, however, I believe it to be very true. The extreme left of the party, which now seems to be the party, are so inextricably tangled in their own hate of Trump, that they see nothing else. They are clearly not taking a few steps back and taking a look at the bigger picture.
I believe they decided long ago that making the country ungovernable was a good gamble and would play into their hands. The powers that be decided to open Pandora`s box, assuming the chaos and anarchy they released they could control. More so I believe they thought that if they lost control, it would blow back on Trump and not them. They assumed/ hoped in cities like Seattle and Portland, that they could get a fatal reaction from Trump – the USA version of Tiananmen Square, where they could say, gotcha, and milk it and others, through to election day. I would posit that quite the opposite has occurred, the law of unintended consequences has bitten them hard.
They have been baiting Trump but largely he has not moved. Quite cleverly he has made this the problem it is – a democrat controlled city/ state problem. For nearly 90 days democrats from Mayors, to Governors, to Senators and their left wing media mouth pieces, have all relentlessly called for defunding the police, openly encouraged rioting and looting and refused to prosecute looters. At best they have just said nothing. The public are not as stupid as they think and they realise they are complicit. It is very telling that CNN came out and stated Biden must say something – and the next day he did, what about the previous 88 days? Is it coincidental that even in biased polls, that in the 3 weeks since VP Harris was announced amid escalating violence that Biden has plunged 10pts in the polls. I get the feeling the Democrat leaders are in a panic, they can feel and see this election and any slim chance they had of winning evaporating in front of them, hence their more and more desperate attacks and ploys.
Official polls now show that at least 12% of republican voters actually blatantly lie about their intentions. Who can blame them, these days wearing a MAGA cap could get you in ICU, or fired from your job. A question, how many certified democrat voters are also lying. Take these points and the ridiculous oversampling these polls do to try and get the required results, that the ‘people’ want to see. It is quite plausible that the REAL figure could have as much as a 25 point swing and that in reality Trump has a massive lead. Are the Dems making the 2016 Hillary mistake all over again and believing their own BS.
People talk about the silent majority being pro-Trump. Combine that with the noisy minority of liberal Dems and you have polls which the Dem leadership should actually be terrified of and I believe they are.
If things are allowed to proceed relatively normally, I would suggest that this will be one of the largest landslide wins for Trump, in presidential history. If the Dems even get remotely close, then the cheating they will have pulled off will be truly biblical in scale.
I am not even an American and will not be voting. However, what I see every day and what is happening on a global scale as the far left continues with their great reset coup – I believe Trump is the last chance the world has to prevent our descent into a zero freedom world of anarchy and death.

REPLY: It is very interesting all the pro-Trump comments I am getting from around the world. It certainly seems as though externally people see what is at stake on a grand global scale. I do think we are witnessing the same problem with the polls pre-BREXIT in Britain as we are seeing here with Biden v Trump. The hostility of calling those in favor of BREXIT “racists” is certainly the same hostile tactic here in America. In Britain, most of the Indian community voted for BREXIT on the grounds that they needed skills and language to gain entry to Britain. In discussions with friends there in the Indian community, they saw this as an insult to them to suddenly allow people in from the Middle East with no skills or language. Trump won the Spanish vote in 2016 for the very same reason. They came here legally and saw it as unfair to just allow illegal entries into the United States that ruined their reputation.
The assumption that one can call someone who votes for Trump or BREXIT a racist and the assumption that all Spanish support wholesale illegals crossing the border is absurd. This is incredible stereotyping which seems to be racist in and of itself.
With respect to the Democrats seemingly supporting the Black Lives Matter, aside from the fact that Schumer is not wearing a mask and Pelosi has her’s down, all this nonsense about defunding the police is really questionable if the Democrats are not deliberately trying to send the country into anarchy. Insofar as the very issue behind Black Lives Matter is that police have no respect for Blacks because they are immune from prosecution, that is something the Democrats could fix in 15 minutes. The immunity was created by the Supreme Court and it is clearly unconstitutional for it simply means that government employees are ABOVE the law which is a denial of Equal Protection. The Democrats can simply legislate a bill that removes immunity for police and prosecutors – but they do not. They are instead exploiting the black community.
Trump is very popular among blacks for he is the first president to start to address the abuse of the legal system. About 3,100 inmates have been released from federal prisons across the country because of a change in how their good-behavior time calculation. The blacks in prison were full of hope when Obama became preside4nt. They thought he would address their unfair treatment. He did nothing for them and he actually deported more Mexicans than any other president by far more than 10x.
The Democrats are exploiting the Black Lives Matter and could change the laws so that blacks, who sold crack, got far more time than anyone selling just cocaine – a favorite in Washington and Wall Street (oh sorry, I’m not supposed to say that). About 1,691 people convicted of crack cocaine offenses also have received sentence reductions. Trump is the only President who has been trying to reform the justice system.

Statistics reveal the coronavirus has run its course. With mortality rates and cases numbering far below ANY historic pandemic, it continues to decline. Outbreaks are well met with common sense hygiene, masks proving ineffective and hazardous to the wellness of healthy individuals.
Ending the National Emergency will:
• Remove need for mail-in votes for the 2020 election that is vulnerable to fraud.
• Encourage businesses, schools, churches, government offices, interstate travel to open without restriction, removing Congress’ need to allocate more relief funds.
• Focus law enforcement on deterring criminal activity including revolt, rioting, arson, looting, murder and illegal political schemes.
• Halt restrictions of 1st Amendment rights to exercise religion, speech, assembly and commerce.

What inspired Pilot Officer John Gillespie Magee, Jr. to write High Flight?
Many Americans remember these words but few know much about the author, John Gillespie Magee, Jr., an American Pilot Officer who served with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Born to missionary parents in Shanghai, China in 1922, John’s father was American; his mother was British.
John arrived in the U.S. in 1939 and earned a scholarship to Yale, yet he soon dropped the pursuit of higher education for enlistment in the RCAF in September 1940. He graduated as a pilot and was sent to England for combat duty in July 1941.
Historians are unclear of the exact date but in either August or September 1941, Pilot Officer Magee composed “High Flight” and sent a copy to his parents. Several months later, on December 11, 1941 his spitfire collided with another aircraft over England and Magee crashed to his death. He was just then 19 years of age. His remains are buried in the churchyard cemetery at Scopwick, Lincolnshire.
What inspired Pilot Officer John Gillespie Magee, Jr. to write “High Flight?” The answer is unknown, but conjecture is easy. Who among us has ever gazed at the heavens and not wished to touch the face of God?

A fifteen year argument is finally over…. We win. Most CTH readers probably don’t even remember the reason for the name: “The Last Refuge” upon this little corner of the internet. However, for well over a decade we have tried to share the truth behind the financial mechanisms that run Washington DC; and the primary machine has always been a completely corrupt, deceptive and anti-American U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Against the entirety of the conservative media; and against the entirety of every organized group that ever attended CPAC; this website has attempted to educate people about the genuinely fraudulent purposes of the U.S. CoC and their President Tom Donohue. I have written hundreds of articles over the years outlining “there are trillions at stake” and the elements of importance behind that statement. Every single mainstream conservative voice has denied the truth; and likely most of them are probably on the CoC payroll.
Every former administration took massive payments from the CoC and allowed the Chamber to write trade agreements language for decades. The CoC business model was to take payments from Wall Street multinationals and then write the agreements to their benefit. Politicians were paid to keep quiet and support the CoC. The chamber is the largest lobby organization in DC. The chamber spends more money on influence than any other lobbying group by a massive amount. The CoC is at the heart of DC corruption.
President Trump knew about the CoC business model; that’s why he never allowed them a seat at the ‘America First’ table. That was the original source of our support for candidate Donald Trump. And now, after a decade of our trying to highlight the CoC scheme and the reason for it; yesterday, the U.S. Chamber dropped their pretense and admitted they were now supporting democrats because the CoC effort can only succeed by destroying Main St.
WASHINGTON DC – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is poised to endorse nearly two dozen freshmen House Democrats for reelection, triggering a revolt within the right-leaning organization and drawing fierce push-back from the group’s powerful GOP donors.
The decision represents a sharp departure for the traditionally conservative Chamber, which has spent over $100 million backing Republican candidates during the past decade, and it threatens to further complicate the party’s prospects in the November election while driving a split in the business community.
Chamber leaders — including President Suzanne Clark, Chief Executive Officer Tom Donohue and Executive Vice President Neil Bradley — have been pushing the proposal ahead of a Thursday committee vote to finalize a slate of 2020 endorsements.
But the group’s donors and members are up in arms, with some threatening to pull funding and others openly venting their frustration. Some are raising the prospect that Chamber board members will quit in the weeks to come.

The CoC was never a “right wing organization”, nor was it a “republican organization”; it was always a multinational globalist organization structured to support Wall Street and destroy Main Street. It was always a feature, not a flaw…. but no-one would believe it.

If you understand the basic elements behind the new dimension in American economics, you already understand how three decades of DC legislative and regulatory policy was structured to benefit Wall Street and not Main Street. The intentional shift in monetary policy is what created the distance between two entirely divergent economic engines.
REMEMBER […] there had to be a point where the value of the second economy (Wall Street) surpassed the value of the first economy (Main Street).
Investments, and the bets therein, needed to expand outside of the USA. hence, globalist investing.
However, a second more consequential aspect happened simultaneously. The politicians became more valuable to the Wall Street team than the Main Street team; and Wall Street had deeper pockets because their economy was now larger.
As a consequence Wall Street started funding political candidates and asking for legislation that benefited their interests.
When Main Street was purchasing the legislative influence the outcomes were -generally speaking- beneficial to Main Street, and by direct attachment those outcomes also benefited the average American inside the real economy.
When Wall Street began purchasing the legislative influence, the outcomes therein became beneficial to Wall Street. Those benefits are detached from improving the livelihoods of main street Americans because the benefits are “global”. Global financial interests, multinational investment interests -and corporations therein- became the primary filter through which the DC legislative outcomes were considered.

As an outcome of national monetary policy blending commercial banking with institutional investment banking something happened on Wall Street that few understand. If we take the time to understand what happened we can understand why the Stock Market grew and what risks exist today as trade policy is reversed to benefit Main Street.
President Trump and Treasury Secretary Mnuchin have already begun assembling and delivering a new banking system.
Instead of attempting to put Glass-Stegal regulations back into massive banking systems, the Trump administration created a parallel financial system of less-regulated small commercial banks, credit unions and traditional lenders who can operate to the benefit of Main Street without the burdensome regulation of the mega-banks and multinationals. This really is one of the more brilliant solutions to work around a uniquely American economic problem.
[You saw direct evidence of this at work with the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) in the COVID rescue package. Small and medium lenders were responsive to Main Street and the large institutional (Big Bank) lenders were not.]
♦ When U.S. banks were allowed to merge their investment divisions with their commercial banking operations (the removal of Glass Stegal) something changed on Wall Street.
Companies who are evaluated based on their financial results, profits and losses, remained in their traditional role as traded stocks on the U.S. Stock Market and were evaluated accordingly. However, over time investment instruments -which are secondary to actual company results- created a sub-set within Wall Street that detached from actual bottom line company results.
The resulting secondary financial market system was essentially ‘investment markets’. Both ordinary company stocks and the investment market stocks operate on the same stock exchanges. But the underlying valuation is tied to entirely different metrics.
Financial products were developed (as investment instruments) that are essentially wagers or bets on the outcomes of actual companies traded on Wall Street. Those bets/wagers form the hedge markets and are [essentially] people trading on expectations of performance. The “derivatives market” is the ‘betting system’.
♦Ford Motor Company (only chosen as a commonly known entity) has a stock valuation based on their actual company performance in the market of manufacturing and consumer purchasing of their product. However, there can be thousands of financial instruments wagering on the actual outcome of their performance.
There are two initial bets on these outcomes that form the basis for Hedge-fund activity. Bet ‘A’ that Ford hits a profit number, or bet ‘B’ that they don’t. There are financial instruments created to place each wager. [The wagers form the derivatives] But it doesn’t stop there.
Additionally, more financial products are created that bet on the outcomes of the A/B bets. A secondary financial product might find two sides betting on both A outcome and B outcome.
Party C bets the “A” bet is accurate, and party D bets against the A bet. Party E bets the “B” bet is accurate, and party F bets against the B. If it stopped there we would only have six total participants. But it doesn’t stop there, it goes on and on and on…
The outcome of the bets forms the basis for the tenuous investment markets. The important part to understand is that the investment funds are not necessarily attached to the original company stock, they are now attached to the outcome of bet(s). Hence an inherent disconnect is created.
Subsequently, if the actual stock doesn’t meet it’s expected P-n-L outcome (if the company actually doesn’t do well), and if the financial investment was betting against the outcome, the value of the investment actually goes up. The company performance and the investment bets on the outcome of that performance are two entirely different aspects of the stock market. [Hence two metrics.]
♦Understanding the disconnect between an actual company on the stock market, and the bets for and against that company stock, helps to understand what can happen when fiscal and monetary policy is geared toward the underlying company (Main Street MAGAnomics), and not toward the bets therein (Investment Class).
The U.S. stock markets’ overall value can increase with Main Street policy, and yet the investment class can simultaneously decrease in value even though the company(ies) in the stock market is/are doing better. This detachment is critical to understand because the ‘real economy’ is based on the company, the ‘paper economy’ is based on the financial investment instruments betting on the company.
Trillions can be lost in investment instruments, and yet the overall stock market -as valued by company operations/profits- can increase.
Conversely, there are now classes of companies on the U.S. stock exchange that never make a dime in profit, yet the value of the company increases. This dynamic is possible because the financial investment bets are not connected to the bottom line profit. (Examples include Tesla Motors, Amazon and a host of internet stocks like Facebook and Twitter.) It is this investment group of companies that stands to lose the most if/when the underlying system of betting on them stops or slows.
Specifically due to most recent U.S. fiscal policy, modern multinational banks, including all of the investment products therein, are more closely attached to this investment system on Wall Street. It stands to reason they are at greater risk of financial losses overall with a shift in fiscal policy.
That financial and economic risk is the basic reason behind Trump and Mnuchin putting a protective, secondary and parallel, banking system in place for Main Street.
Big multinational banks can suffer big losses from their investments, and yet the Main Street economy can continue growing, and have access to capital, uninterrupted.
Bottom Line: U.S. companies who have actual connection to a growing U.S. economy can succeed; based on the advantages of the new economic environment and MAGA policy, specifically in the areas of manufacturing, trade and the ancillary benefactors.
Meanwhile U.S. investment assets (multinational investment portfolios) that are disconnected from the actual results of those benefiting U.S. companies, and as a consequence also disconnected from the U.S. economic expansion, can simultaneously drop in value even though the U.S. economy is thriving.

Several Asian news outlets are now confirming that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is likely to step down from his position due to a mounting health concern.
PM Abe is one of the strong nationalist politicians who align with the MAGA agenda of President Donald Trump. Both leaders were friends even before President Trump stepped into politics. Abe is a good friend to the White House and one of the key elements of the Indo-Pacific policy initiatives. His support & leadership will be missed on the international stage. Expect further details later today. No doubt he and President Trump have talked.
Osaka – Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is expected to step down as prime minister amid speculation over his health, NHK reported Friday, throwing the political center of Nagatacho in turmoil over the question of who will take over.
Abe is expected to speak to reporters at 5 p.m.
Abe’s health has been the subject of intense speculation since he underwent an examination at Tokyo’s Keio University Hospital on Aug. 14, and then returned for a followup exam on Monday.
The recent developments followed reports that his condition had declined since July and then worsened in early August. That fueled fears within Abe’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party that he may not be able to carry on, instigating speculation as to who could succeed him.(link)

The Swamp mouthed banal platitudes every four years as they pandered for votes. Secure in another election, the politicians went back to ignoring the voters until the next election arose.
America was floundering.
The jackass and rinos ate well at the corruption table.
Yet.
Something happened. Something new, yet familiar, something that had almost been forgotten.
