The American public’s opinion of Joe Biden is worse than any former occupant of the oval office. Biden is in a competition with Jimmy Carter for the worst economic policy in our nation’s history. With polling that low, he cannot weigh in on anything of importance – especially gun control legislation.
It appears the White House has chosen to use Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey as the point person for new legislation in the aftermath of the Uvalde school shooting. McConaughey is a native of Uvalde and delivered an impassioned speech earlier today from the White House. WATCH:

The basic framework of new legislation looks like a raising of the age from 18 to 21 to purchase an AR-style rifle, increased investment in mental health, and federal “red flag” laws. Of the proposals the “red flag” laws are the most problematic.
We have seen how ideologues in social media operate. It is not a stretch to predict in today’s DOJ, they would accept a “red flag” list of Trump supporters from a social media site moderator and send out the ATF swat team. However, well intentioned he might be, Mr. McConoughey is wrong on the red flag component.
President Biden is worried about firearms falling into the hands of criminals, like his son, Hunter. Hunter Biden filled out BATFE Form 4473 in October 2018 and purchased a .38 caliber revolver from a shop in Delaware. Hunter claimed he was not on drugs at the time of purchase, as it is illegal to sell a firearm to anyone “who is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance.” Yet, in his memoir “Beautiful Things,” he admitted to smoking crack “every fifteen minutes” and that he even began to spend “a lot of time with thieves, addicts and con artists” who taught him how to cook crack cocaine.
Purchasing a gun illegally while under the influence is reckless, but the events that followed were worse. Hallie Biden, the widow to Beau Biden, feared for Hunter’s life as she thought he may harm himself. Hunter, who was legally married to his wife Kathleen at the time, was dating his fallen brother’s ex-wife. Morals aside, Hallie shortly found Hunter’s handgun in his truck and decided to dispose of it in a trash can across from Alexis I. du Pont High School.
One could only imagine the tragedy that could have unfolded if a teenager had found that gun. Hunter demanded that Hallie retrieve his illegal weapon, but when she went back to the school zone, the gun was nowhere to be found. The Delaware State Police, the United States Secret Service, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation quietly became involved. Politico noted that the store clerk did not want to cooperate with Secret Service as he knew they would cover for Hunter. The gun was later returned by a man who retrieved it from the trash can, allegedly.
The penalty for purchasing a gun while under the influence of a controlled substance is 10 years imprisonment. The penalty for lying on Form 4473 is up to five years imprisonment. Lying to an arms dealer “with respect to any fact material to the lawfulness of the sale” could result in an additional 10-year imprisonment. For Hallie’s part, throwing a gun in a bin 250 yards from a school violates numerous laws and is grounds for a lengthy sentence.
Joe Biden cannot control guns within his own family. He criticizes responsible gun ownership while allowing his troubled son to endanger the lives of others.
As calls to repeal the Second Amendment continue, Americans have been buying guns at a record pace. Over 1 million civilians purchased firearms in the month of May alone, marking a record-breaking streak of 34 months of increased sales. Although the left would like the world to believe that there are no restrictions on buying guns, the majority of people who applied were not eligible. The FBI reportedly conducted 2.4 million background checks last month alone.
Gun sales in Canada have spiked as well after tyrant Trudeau announced plans to ban sales under Bill C-21. Numerous gun shops reported selling out of handguns entirely after the PM announced that it will become illegal to buy, sell, transfer or import handguns anywhere.” There are 2,500 gun retailers in Canada, and all of those shops are expecting to go out of business within months if not weeks. Exactly 55,000 guns were imported into Canada last year, but that legal trade will be prohibited.
People want to feel protected. The underground market for guns will surge in Canada, and these guns will become untraceable. Criminals especially will find a way to buy and distribute firearms with zero restrictions. The ban will not erase demand.
Republican Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) and Democrat Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) appear on Sunday broadcasts to discuss the most likely framework the Senate group is putting together for new gun control legislation.
The general convergence appears to surround: •a possible raising of the age to purchase a semi-automatic rifle (definition to be determined) from 18 to 21; •new federal red flag laws and/or financing to state government to construct ‘red flag’ laws; •increased federal funding for mental health screenings and facilities; and •new federal background check requirements for gun purchases.

With barely more than a third of the country supporting the installed occupant of the White House, Joe Biden took to the podium tonight to demand a litany of new gun restrictions. Biden called for the banning of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines through reinstating the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, noting that if that can’t happen, the government should raise the legal age to purchase such weapons from 18 to 21.
Biden also called on congress to construct new federal background checks, which sounded a lot like a federal registration of gun ownership. Also, he is demanding “red flag” laws that will allow schools, counsellors, doctors and others to flag an individual as a threat to themselves or others, thereby removing their right to gun ownership. Biden also said he want’s congress to ban large capacity magazines limiting all firearms to five bullets. WATCH:
“Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Mao, Idi Amin, Castro, Pol Pot… All these monsters began by confiscating private arms, then literally soaking the earth with the blood of tens & tens of millions of their people. Ahh. The joys of gun control.”
Justin Trudeau will join the list of dictators who forbid citizens from self-protection. “It will be illegal to buy, sell, transfer or import handguns anywhere in Canada,” Trudeau said, using the tragedy in Texas as his platform. “Other than using firearms for sport shooting and hunting, there is no reason anyone in Canada should need guns in their everyday lives.”
The cowardly armed cops in Uvalde, Texas, sat idle as the children were massacred. They even tasered desperate parents who tried to enter the school. Any parent would have attempted to eliminate the threat given the opportunity. The heroic teachers protected the children as best as they could, being unarmed, as help from the government (i.e., the cops) never arrived. The government is not here to protect you or your children. Relinquishing guns is the first step toward becoming completely defenseless.
