U.S. oil futures, known as West Texas Intermediate or WTI, traded negative for the first time in history. It means that, for a while anyway, oil was less than worthless. Those holding the oil would have to pay for storage, just as one has to pay a garbage man to take away garbage.
This all came about due to an oil glut and lack of consumption, thanks to the coronavirus shut down as well as the oil price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia. The latter in particular would like to see US oil companies shut down and or go bankrupt. That would mean more American lost jobs, more defaults on mortgages and bank loans. It might also mean lower gasoline prices, but not many are driving right now because too many jobs have been cancelled.

“With Crisis Comes Opportunity” is how the organization Voices for the Earth Summit sees the death and destruction from the coronavirus. “This global pandemic is one of the greatest tragedies of our time, but it is also revealing opportunities that have not been so clearly seen before,” it says. “We are awakening to the fact that our current systems are not working, they are failing both humanity and the planet.”
This time they mean it – the New World Order can finally be implemented. Or so they think. They can use two global crises at one – the virus and so-called climate change. “Earth Day,” on Wednesday April 22, is a great opportunity for them. Expect the same kind of propaganda that was broadcast on Saturday night, in support of the U.N.‘s World Health Organization.
Mikhail Gorbachev: When The Pandemic Is Over, The World Must Come Together
On cue, Time magazine has published former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev’s column, “When The Pandemic Is Over, The World Must Come Together,” urging an emergency special session of the U.N. General Assembly, with “revising the entire global agenda” as the main topic, leading “toward a new consciousness, a new civilization.”
But the former Soviet president, considered a “reformer” by our media, had declared his commitment to a one-world communist state, even during the period of Glasnost and Perestroika, saying on November 2, 1987, “We are moving towards a new world, the world of communism. We shall never turn off that road.”
We always knew the left would exploit the virus but their “vision” of the New World Order is now coming into clear focus. They think China’s mass murder is not the time to hold China responsible for death and suffering, but to save Mother Earth from greenhouse gases. They think this will usher in a global one-world socialist state, a development that could find China as the head of the New World Order and Russia serving as the world’s gas pump, with American energy independence a thing of the past. These are the stakes.
One online Earth Day event on April 22, featuring “former” communist Van Jones, is sponsored by the Pachamama Alliance and is designed to demonstrate “Resilience and Possibility in These Times.” The online gathering will help “regenerate our planet and social institutions” and that we can look forward to a “future of sustainability and justice.”
Standing in the way is the Trump Administration
Standing in the way is the Trump Administration and spontaneous and growing protests of Americans who want their country and its free enterprise system restored to economic and financial health. They are condemned by the major media as hicks and hayseeds but they understand that the globalists have been trying for decades to cut American down to size. They won’t stand for it. America will reopen in the face of the global assault.
With Obama’s former Vice President Joe Biden hoping to ride this wave of death and destruction into the White House, you may remember that Van Jones was supposed to be a key figure in Obama’s “fundamental transformation” of America. He had been deeply involved in a Marxist group, Standing Together To Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM), which sent some of its members to Cuba. In Cuba, thanks to the U.N., they were working on “Pig Power” to run a modern economy, based on using excrement from pigs eating “high off the hog.”
Van Jones was appointed “Green Jobs Czar” in March 2009 at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, an important job, established within the Executive Office of the President, and designed to coordinate “federal environmental efforts” and work closely with agencies and other White House offices in the development of environmental policies and initiatives.
In the end, however, thanks to White House Reds author Trevor Loudon, who was sniffing around the Obama White House, Jones was forced to resign because the investigation of his communist connections was getting too close for comfort for Obama and his inner circle. Sacking Jones was a way for the White House and the major media, just beginning to take an interest in the story, to move on. It was apparent that Jones was thrown “under the bus” because too many of Obama’s close associates, including adviser Valerie Jarrett, were implicated in his hiring. Jarrett had said that “we” had recruited Jones. Obama himself obviously approved the decision to bring him aboard.
Pachamama Alliance
His involvement with the Pachamama Alliance is significant.
You may recall that a major controversy developed when a video showed Pope Francis blessing a statue of Pachamama, a “goddess” revered by some indigenous people holding on to their pagan traditions and considered a female fertility figure representing Mother Earth.
Traditional Catholics who regard Pope Francis as a heretic believe such pagan displays are a violation of the First Commandment prohibition of idols.
Seizing the moment, the Pachamama Alliance declares, “When society emerges on the other side of this [coronavirus] challenge, we will be forever changed. We can’t go back to the way things were. We need a new way forward. Knowing this, what can we do to be ready to not just rebuild our world, but to build a sustainable, thriving, and just world?”
Also taking advantage of the situation, the Committees for Democracy and Socialism (CCDS) understands that “systemic disaster or shock can open possibilities for social change not available in the US during normal times” and that “the Covid-19 pandemic is such a crisis.” The Marxist group thinks the left can exploit the crisis in order to promote pet projects such as socialized medicine, also known as single payer health care, or a Green New Deal program of heavy-handed socialist control of the economy and massive new taxes.
The CCDS, as well as other left-wing and Marxist groups, believe time and attention must also be devoted to whitewashing Communist China of its role in releasing and spreading the virus.
World Health System
Another group with Marxist roots, the Lyndon LaRouche movement, issued a press release through its Schiller Institute “regarding the vicious anti-China campaign being promulgated in the West, especially in the United States,” over China’s role in coronavirus. The group was founded by the late Lyndon LaRouche, who served prison time on financial fraud charges and was considered the intellectual author of the 9/11 truth movement because he started questioning whether Muslims had staged the attacks right after they occurred. LaRouche started out as a Marxist and, in a 1976 lecture, titled, “What Only Communists Know,” declared his desire to bring into being “a new Marxist international…” This is their moment.
The Schiller Institute press release said that his widow, Helga Zepp-LaRouche, was invited by China in 2017 to attend an International Conference on China’s “Belt and Road” Initiative. It said that during her trip she appeared on a Chinese English Language dialog show, “Dialogue with Yang Rui.”
One can occasionally find members of the LaRouche movement on street corners selling literature and claiming to be defending President Trump.
But a Schiller Institute document, which calls for a “World Health System,” reveals that their objective is precisely the same as some other far-left groups – strengthening the World Health Organization and creating new socialist structures for the world. The document declares, “This global pandemic emphatically requires a global response, as reservoirs of the virus in any part of the world could cause resurgences for years. It requires a World Health System covering every part of the planet.”

Zepp-LaRouche defends the U.N.s World Health Organization, which initially claimed the virus was harmless to humans, and declares, “China is not an aggressive force.”
Not surprisingly, the United Nations has embraced an “unprecedented all-day digital Earth Day” on April 22, with another group with a 50th Anniversary Global Advisory Committee that includes Lisa Jackson, Obama’s former EPA Administrator and current Vice President of Environment Policy and Social Initiatives at Apple; John Kerry, Obama’s former U.S. Secretary of State; and David Levy, Vice President of US Government and Nonprofits at Amazon Web Services. (Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, owner of the Washington Post, has announced that he will be committing $10 billion to fight climate change.)
UN Secretary-General António Guterres released a “message for International Mother Earth Day,” saying, “We must act decisively to protect our planet from both the coronavirus and the existential threat of climate disruption. The current crisis is an unprecedented wake-up call. We need to turn the recovery into a real opportunity to do things right for the future.”
Offering various “green” initiatives, while saying that “Greenhouse gases, just like viruses, do not respect national boundaries,” the release was issued in the form of a “demand” for a new “Green Economy.”
Guterres is a former head of the Socialist International, a worldwide group with “consultative status” with the United Nations that promises “Progressive politics for a fairer world.”

On March 16th of this year, I went to bed in America as usual, but woke up in Venezuela. I didn’t know it over breakfast, however. It didn’t dawn on me until a few hours later, after I had reached the paper goods aisle at our local Target store, when I encountered two long rows of empty shelves where the toilet paper used to be stacked.
Later that afternoon, still optimistic, I headed over to our nearby Trader Joe’s to buy said toilet paper, only to find that they too were sold out. Not only that, but the people in the store were filling their carts to the brim, and many staples were already sold out. I figured these shoppers must know something I didn’t, so I filled my cart too—mostly with things I didn’t really like or want—as that was all that was left. After all, I was unschooled in how to survive in Venezuela. I did figure out though, that the frozen mahi mahi burgers were not a good bet. They were the only untouched item in the entire freezer case.

Within a week or so, ironically, Venezuela started looking good. For now we had more or less entered Communist China. No more Constitution. No more liberty. And still no TP.
There’s a heart-wrenching song by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein that debuted in a film during the early years of WWII, called The Last Time I Saw Paris. The lyrics paint a charming picture of pre-war Paris as a beautiful and beloved city, but the song ends with these haunting words: “The last time I saw Paris her heart was warm and gay; no matter how they change her, I’ll remember her that way.”
They say history doesn’t quite repeat, but that it rhymes. It didn’t take long for fascism to subsume the liberty, and later the lives, of millions of erstwhile free people. Paris was one such casualty. I hope we never need to write songs about remembering the America that was. But here we are in the third week of April, and it’s looking like this may be a sad possibility lurking in our own future.
I just read in one of our local papers, in small print at the bottom of page four, that 15,000 retail stores in America are likely to close for good. Fifteen thousand stores! Are we to be left with nothing but Amazon? In whose interest would that be?
And I suspect that figure mainly encompasses big retailers. No one seems to be tallying up the deaths of our local small businesses—the one-of-a-kind stores that do much to give our towns their special character. We form relationships with the people who run our Mom-and-Pop gift shops, candy stores, pet shops, ice cream parlors, stationers, nail salons, book stores, hair salons, camera stores, boutiques, restaurants, and more. We know them, and they know us. We patronize them week after week.
Desolation. Despair. Depression
Now imagine your city’s downtown street with all those stores boarded up. For good! Imagine all those hardworking entrepreneurs having lost their livelihoods, and all their employees having lost their jobs.
We don’t need any sophisticated computer modeling (which never works anyway) to predict what this would look like across America. We can envision it in our mind’s eye. Desolation. Despair. Depression. The life and vitality and vibrancy sucked out of our suburbs and cities all over the country. Empty streets. Ghost towns.
And for what? Because the flu was a little worse than usual this year? Even the Fauci himself postulated that we may be looking at close to the seasonal flu mortality rate of .1%, in his recently published NEJM article.
Let’s clear up a misconception. We are not experiencing a “pandemic” in America. A pandemic is merely the term for an epidemic occurring in multiple countries. While we can call this virus a global pandemic, in America, we’re experiencing a seasonal flu epidemic, as we do most every year. And this one, by the numbers of deaths, is far from the worst we’ve ever had.
Take a look at the rationale being used by county authorities in Silicon Valley—in San Mateo County, to be precise. An April 17th article in the San Mateo Daily Journal featuring the head of the county’s Health Department, Dr. Scott Morrow, states: “All officials, Morrow included, rely on models to determine the potential impact. …the model projected ICU beds would run out in early April, then this week [April 17th], it appears that is no longer the case because of the shelter-in-place order.” (Italics mine.)

Let’s parse this. The model’s prediction did not pan out. Not even close. So was the model, dare we say it, wrong? Not a chance! It must be that “sheltering in place” is working! Isn’t this a bit like the famous coin toss of “heads I win, tales you lose?”
If the model’s dire prediction had come true, the modeling would be vindicated as correct. If, as happened, it was proven way off, that must prove that placing our citizenry under house arrest was a good idea that paid off. You think? Of course what’s left out of this equation is the fact that we can’t possibly know what would have transpired without the lockdown. And it’s entirely possible the results would have been the same! We truly may have wrecked our economy and the lives of our residents for nothing! I, for one, believe this is exactly what we’ve done.
Now let’s look at the terrifying large numbers of deaths from COVID-19 in our county that would lend credence to such drastic measures as the ongoing shelter-in-place mandate, which has just been expanded to include mandatory wearing of face masks, on pain of arrest and/or fines, beginning on April 22nd, while much of the country begins to open up. Beginning tomorrow morning at 8pm, anyone entering a grocery store or other public place without wearing a mask can be charged with breaking a law, and will be fined up to $1,000 and/or thrown in jail for 90 days. Perhaps this is why the Governor has released so many convicted felons from prison—to free up space for our citizens who want to breathe freely, sans mask. It seems in California, we’ve now moved to Communist China.
Back to our data on which all this totalitarianism is supposedly based. To date, how many people have died of the Wuhan flu in San Mateo County? Let’s wend our way to that number. We don’t have hard data on mortality rates, due to so few people having been tested, etc., so I’m going to plug in some numbers that may give us a reasonable idea of the all-important mortality rate. Out of our county of 766,573 people, let’s assume that over the course of the past 3 months, at least 15% have been exposed and would test positive for the virus, if everyone had been tested. So that would be approximately 115,000 people whom we’ll assume caught the virus. Of these, WHO predicted a death rate of 3.4. That would equate to a death toll of 3900. Alarming. But then we were told, oops, the mortality rate is more like 1%. That would mean 1150 deaths. Ah, but Fauci himself later postulated that we may be looking at close to the seasonal flu mortality rate of .1%. Plugging that in, we get 115 deaths. So with all these predictions of doom and gloom, what would you expect the actual number turned out to be? 2500? 1100? 450? 250? OK, how about 107? Give up? Here’s the total: 21. That’s right, 21 people! And 19 of them were 70 years old or more, which makes it likely that some of these folks died of co-morbidities, rather than of the virus itself. By the way, what is the mortality percentage from COVID-19 out of the entire population in our county? .0027%.
Pathetic misfire: sheltering in place didn’t destroy the economy, it was the pandemic
Let’s look at another important metric. How many residents of our county are in ICU beds currently with COVID-19? Twenty-two. Turns out we have more patients in the ICU without COVID-19 than with it! Twenty-nine vs. twenty-two. And how many ICU beds does our county have? Seventy-seven. So we have 26 ICU beds still available. And we were supposedly on track to having all of them full of desperately ill people by the beginning of April. Didn’t happen. And how many of our 302 surge beds are being used? A grand total of 17. Doesn’t look much like Italy, does it?
From the same article, note Dr. Morrow’s critical thinking on the issues the county is facing: But it’s important to note, he said, that the order [sheltering in place] didn’t destroy the economy, it was the pandemic.
Ah! So that’s whom we need to blame! The microscopic virus! Nice try, doc. Actually, a pathetic misfire.
Perhaps someone should inform the good doctor that the Chinese virus can hardly have gotten ahold of the levers of economic and state power. All it can do is to make some people sick. Yes, the frail elderly are at increased risk of dying of it, but the virus didn’t close down our retail businesses. It didn’t mandate that people stay out of churches and synagogues and movie theaters and concert halls and baseball stadiums. It didn’t shut down our restaurants and other vital small businesses that simply cannot survive the draconian and utterly uncalled for policies from state officials exactly like Dr. Morrow himself.
No, Dr. Morrow, it is you and your ilk that are destroying our communities. You and our Governor and the entire entourage of self-aggrandizing, power-drunk bureaucrats are scuttling our businesses, deflating our economy, and causing untold suffering to millions of our citizens. It’s not the virus. It’s the bureaucrats. It’s our officials. You are to blame 100%.
When describing the 1940’s song at the beginning of this article, I left out the poignant ending of the opening verse about Paris. It goes like this: “Lonely men with lonely eyes are seeking her in vain; Her streets are where they were, but there’s no sign of her.”

“You absolutely love to see it” is AOC’s celebratory social media message that will live on in memory for all time, in spite of her sneaky delete.

Far worse than her now deleted “You absolutely love to see it,” take were the words that followed: “This along with record low-interest rates means it’s the right time for a worker-led, mass investment in green infrastructure to save our planet. *cough*.”

Instead, he is viewed as a mechanical unit reacting to germs, with a high potential for failure. This is pure insanity. This is where all the purported sophistication of basic medical science winds up: in a dead end. LIFE itself was eliminated from the equations and formulas. Whose fault is that? Not yours. Not mine.
It turns out that, for many people, their belief in the power of the virus, and their belief in the officials who are spouting gobbledygook about it, outweigh their belief in whatever spiritual ultimates they profess.
Their own deepest beliefs are not strong enough.
Their religion is television.
Which is where the mass illusion is projected.

Close-up of vials of liquid. Camera pulls back. Techs in light green scrubs are placing the vials into slots of a table-top machine. Auditorium—-a man on a platform, wearing a doctor’s white coat, is pointing a wand at a large screen, on which a chart is displayed, for the audience. Back to the street. People are wearing face masks.

These images wash over the television viewer. Meanwhile, the anchor is imparting his prepared meaning: “The government today issued a ban on all travel into and out of the city…hundreds of plane flights have been cancelled. Scientists are rushing to develop a vaccine…”

Or: Example: we see angry crowds on the street of a foreign city. Many shots of young people on their cell phones sitting in outdoor cafés. Then the marble lobby of a government building where men in suits are walking, standing in groups talking to each other. Then at night, rockets exploding in the sky. Then armored vehicles moving through a gate into the city. Then clouds of smoke on another street and people running, chased by police.
A flow of consecutive images. The sequence, obviously, has been assembled by a news editor, but the viewing audience isn’t aware of that. They’re watching the “interconnected” images and listening to a news anchor tell a story that colors (infects) every image: “This is revolution for democracy, created by the technology of cell phones…”
Viewers thus believe something. Television has imparted a sensation to them.
In his 1976 film masterpiece, Network, Paddy Chayefsky’s unhinged newsman, Howard Beale, broadcasts this message to his audience on national television—-

Knowledge, once established, is independent of the viewer. Whereas the impression of knowing is a feeling, a conviction, a belief the viewer holds, after he has watched moving images on a screen. THIS is what the addicted viewer prefers. He wants no part of knowledge.
Therefore: a short circuit occurs in his mind.
When you export this pattern out to a whole society, you are talking about a dominant method through which fake knowledge is groped and held close.

And that’s another feature of the modern acquisition of “knowledge”: amnesia about details.
The viewer can’t recall key features of what he saw. Or if he can, he can’t describe them, because he was inside them, busy building up his impression of knowing something.

The false pandemic I’ve been rejecting, in many articles, is delivered through video flow and narration. Stacked and cut images.
There is no television challenge to the television flow, through the intrusion of actual knowledge, because that would shut down the parade of images and nullify the reasons for broadcasting them in the first place.
The old theater adage, “the show must go on,” when adapted for television, becomes, “the flow must go on.” Once its course is set, there can be no turning back.
I have reliable research I have not yet concluded but so far this COVID-19 could have been a human experiment. It appears to be like HIV insofar as it attacks the T cells and can penetrate them. These are the human cells that attack viruses. This is most likely why older patients are dying because they have fewer T cells as they grow older. This does not confirm any connection to the Wuhan lab for there have been such experiments carried out in various other places around the world. Therefore, this may damage other organs in older people including the lungs.
This still does not negate the exaggerated response of shutting down the world economy. Sweden has proven that lockdown makes no difference. The WHO and Gates have increased the risk of starvation and lowered the living standards of society as a whole. That poses a far greater threat going forward the longer the lockdown continues. The greatest plagues in human history have taken place also during solar minimums for this is when the climate turns colder and crops fail, increasing malnutrition, which in turn lowers the immune system enabling greater death tolls.
Therefore, this COVID-19 may spread like the flu, but it still does not appear to be as lethal during this season. That does not rule out a new improved version during the next flu season.
A client sent this in which is an interesting projection. Our own work has found that the cycle appears to be closer to 8.6 years when dealing with viruses exclusively. This is combining bacteria and viruses. Any way we look at this, there is a cycle to disease as well as to the economy and life in general.
If we look at just the viruses, the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak was first discovered in Asia in February 2003. The outbreak lasted approximately six months as the disease spread to more than two dozen countries in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia before it was stopped in July 2003. Therefore, cyclically, the timeline for most viruses remains the same and we warned that this new virus “should peak out in April/May.” There was the potential for a peak in the Southern Hemisphere at the latest by June/July since it likes the colder weather. I further wrote: “There is NO INDICATION that this will last longer than any other virus issue. For now, it will probably continue to expand into April/May before we see any top in the number of cases.”
When we look at MERS-CoV, it was during September 2012, when WHO had been notified of 2494 laboratory-confirmed cases of infection with MERS-CoV in the Middle East. The fatality rate was 34.4%. MERS-CoV appears to have come from an animal source in the Arabian Peninsula. Researchers have found MERS-CoV in camels from several countries. Studies have shown that direct contact with camels is a risk factor for human infection with MERS-CoV. In this incident, MERS was first identified in September 2012 and had subsided by June 2013. There was a second outbreak in 2015 in South Korea. The first patient of the outbreak developed symptoms on May 11, 2015. WHO and the South Korean government estimated that the outbreak ended in July 2015, after about two months. By the end, there were 186 confirmed cases and 38 deaths.
We will see COVID-19 reappear again in the next flu season of 2021/2022. If it mutates like influenza for each season, then it can perhaps become more deadly in the future. Cyclically, Socrates projected the April/May period for the peak and ideally the week of April 6th in most places. SARS came 17.2 years ago and MERS 8.6 years ago. Cyclically, there may be a resurgence in two years which would be in 2021/2022 flue season (2021.6 for a beginning).
Richard E. Nisbett (1941-) wrote a good book entitled, “The Geography of Thought, How Asians and Westerners Think Differently … and why.” He attributed his work to a Chinese student who said to him, “You know, the difference between you and me is that I think the world is a circle, and you think it’s a line.”
He goes on to quote him:
“The Chinese believe in constant change, but with things always moving back to some prior state. They pay attention to wide range of events; they search for relationships between things; and they think you can’t understand the part without understanding the whole. Westerners live in a simpler, more deterministic world; they focus on salient objects or people instead of the larger picture; and they think they can control events because they know the rules that govern the behavior of objects.”
Nisbett was indeed correct. Asian culture has instinctively understood the cyclical movement of TIME. In Western culture, we tend to think linearly, not dynamically. When we look at events, we try to reduce them to a single cause and effect. This thinking produces confusion when things do not follow that chosen path and false beliefs arise by not recognizing the world is a far more complex place. Things are never a single cause and effect. There is a hidden order behind everything that is far more complex than meets the Western eye.
Consequently, like climate change, the projections are always linear. There is no reconciliation with cyclical behavior despite the fact that absolutely everything in the universe functions cyclically right down to the beat of your heart to the brainwaves in your head. When you no longer have a brainwave, you are dead.
Everywhere we look, all our civil rights, human rights, and freedom of speech have been under assault and are not likely to return the way they were before the coronavirus. Some countries are toying with imprisoning people who dare to post anything that questions the coronavirus, but we are witnessing the same trend around the world. This raises deep concern that this virus scare is being used for political purposes regardless of its origin or validity as a serious threat.
In Turkey, Erodgan has been arresting hundreds of people for simply posting on social media any dissent against the coronavirus. Of course, he does have a history of arresting people in Turkey for insulting him on social media. The BBC writes: “Turkey’s government is determined to control the narrative during the crisis. Hundreds have been arrested for “provocative posts” about Covid-19 on social media.”
Russians are threatened with jail for anything considered fake news. A new law was passed in Russia that imposes punishments on people convicted of spreading what is deemed to be false information about coronavirus: fines equivalent to $25,000 or up to five years in prison. There are concerns about surveillance systems being rolled out to enforce quarantines.
It was reported by the CBC in Canada that this was one of “several measures the government is considering to counter fake news about the virus online.”
There are rising concerns that democracy is under assault in Europe, including Poland, and we are witnessing the same trend in Hungary. In Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad, the 94-year-old Malaysian politician, unexpectedly resigned as the country’s prime minister on February 25, 2020. Some say he has now been appointed acting Prime Minister pending an election that some think can be dragged out due to the virus.
We are definitely facing a power grab on a global scale that is not necessarily identical, but raises the question: Will the world ever be the same again?
Ever since the COVID-19 effort shifted focus toward re-opening the U.S. economy, National Institute of Health (NIH) Allergy and Infectious Disease, Director Anthony Fauci has been less visible.
This step-back allows Dr. Fauci to better position himself for maximum political damage when the operatives deploy Fauci as an expert antagonist who recommended against re-opening; which frames the soon-to-be deployed ‘dangerous Trump‘ narrative.
This political plan is helped by the virus having a greater negative impact on minorities. Thus the DNC media shall proclaimdangerous Trump attempting to kill black people.
However, in the background; and with Fauci’s crew working on the Bill Gates objective for global COVID-19 vaccinations; the NIH today recommends against any treatment for the coronavirus using a hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin cocktail.
(VIA NPR) A panel of experts convened by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases recommends against doctors using a combination of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin for the treatment of COVID-19 patients because of potential toxicities.
“The combination of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin was associated with QTc prolongation in patients with COVID-19,” the panel said.
QTc prolongation increases the risk of sudden cardiac death.
The recommendation against their combined use would seem to fly in the face of comments made by President Trump suggesting the combination might be helpful. (read more)
Hydroxychloroquine by itself as a prophylaxis, is not discussed. It is the combination with other drugs, specifically axithromycin, that leads to the current recommendation against use. That said, the NIH connection to Bill Gates and the ultimately preferred vaccination could likely be influencing the recommendations. You decide.
