Facing Irrelevance David McIntosh and Club for Growth Reverse Course, Now Support MAGA and Trump

Posted originally on the CTH on March 2, 2024 | Sundance

President Trump holds a remarkable disposition for providing grace, forgiveness and acceptance. I do not possess such an admirable skillset.

The Club for Growth and David McIntosh were/are the vehicle behind Ron DeSantis’ political career. The CfG organization organized donors, groups, PAC support and operated as an attack mechanism against President Trump and the MAGA movement for the past several years.

In the past two years the CfG has spent millions viciously undermining MAGA and President Trump. Their disdain for the middle class is palpable, and they hate the America First Main Street agenda. As the Chamber of Commerce is to Bush Republicans, the CfG Inc is to the Paul Ryan clan of GOPe politics.

Apparently, President Trump has forgiven CfG and David McIntosh for the attacks against MAGA; I am of no similar disposition. I have two words for McIntosh and the PAC he represents, and they are not “Merry Christmas”.

“The fact is, Club for Growth PAC and President Trump have accomplished a lot working together. From tax reform to deregulation, President Trump unleashed prosperity for all Americans. Our country stands at a crossroad. Inflation and interest rates are pricing middle-class families out of home ownership and too many parents are having trouble putting food on the table. Crime is destroying cities and seeping into the suburbs, and our public schools are spending more than ever and failing our kids. Joe Biden and the radical Progressives only make things worse – this is what woke looks like. This is the most important election of our time. It’s time for Republicans to unite and put our differences aside. We need to work together to make sure Biden is a one term president. We need to grow our majority in the House and reclaim the majority in the Senate. We need to restore the American Dream, and the only way we can do that is by working together. President Trump always says ‘When Trump and the Club for Growth PAC are together, we always win.’ And together we are going to win back the White House and more this November.”

– David McIntosh, President, Club for Growth PAC

All of these false supporters need to be dispatched with extreme prejudice.  No one in any “never Trump” movement, regardless of how much they say they have reformed, can ever be trusted with anything.  You are the group who understand this reasoning first and foremost.

I have been working on an operational system that is intended to directly target anyone in the “Republican” or “conservative” political sphere that tries to stop, impede or block the America First agenda, or target Donald Trump after the successful 2024 election.

Armed with an absolute boatload of data and information, the next 48 hours are traveling time. I should be back to home office full working schedule March 5th.  From there, I will outline what specific actionable steps can be taken to organize on a state and regional level.

Today’s second rally takes place in Richmond, VA – underscoring a strategic push in Virginia, a state that has seen a political shift in recent years. The timing of Trump’s rally, just days before Super Tuesday, is no coincidence. This pre-primary event is a clear attempt to make a final push for support in a state that could be crucial for Republican primaries.

Trump’s rally is expected to start at 6 p.m.

Supreme Court Will Hear and Rule on President Trump Immunity Position – Expedited Argument Calendar

Posted originally on the CTH on February 29, 2024 | Sundance

The Supreme Court has granted certiorari and accepted the case of President Trump arguing presidential immunity from prosecution for official acts while in office.  At the heart of the issue the court will determine if the charges brought by Jack Smith need to be dropped, or if the case against President Trump can continue forward.

If the Supreme Court begins defining what types of immunity exist for Presidents in office, they are beginning to open the door to multiple Lawfare efforts against the chief executive by agencies of the administrative state.  This could be extremely troublesome for the future abilities of the presidency far beyond Donald Trump.

[SOURCE]

WASHINGTON DC – In a one-page order Wednesday, the court set an expedited schedule to hear the immunity issue, with oral arguments to be set during the week of April 22. In the meantime, proceedings in the trial court will remain frozen.

[T]he court’s decision to keep the pretrial proceedings frozen is a blow to special counsel Jack Smith’s effort to bring Trump to trial this year. Smith has charged Trump with four felonies stemming from his bid to subvert the 2020 presidential election.

Trump claims that, as a former president, he enjoys broad immunity from criminal prosecution for acts taken while in office. Lower courts have rejected that claim, but proceedings in the trial court have been paused for more than two months while Trump has litigated the novel immunity question. (more)

The leftist Lawfare cheerleaders are not happy with the Supreme Court decision.

Michigan Republican Primary Election Results

Posted originally on the CTH on February 27, 2024 | Ad rem

Michigan voters had the option to cast a ballot in person ahead of the Feb. 27 election – having at least nine days of Election Day-style early voting. Between early and absentee voting, hundreds of thousands of Michiganders have already cast ballots . For Republicans, today’s contest will determine how 16 of the state’s 55 delegates will be awarded. The other 39 will be decided Saturday at a state party convention.

The race has not yet been called because less than 10% are reporting.  Polls close at 9 p.m.

With 65% of the vote, Donald J. Trump has just been projected the winner!

Donald Trump Public Support Polling Far Exceeds Average Republican Candidate

Posted originally on the CTH on February 27, 2024 | Sundance

There is a strange dynamic with professionally political punditry and political media where they project claims that are the exact opposite of the reality. Often this is done simply to try and sway public opinion on an issue, to change and/or control the perception of the public, and sometimes it is successful.

Highlighting this false projection, a common refrain against President Trump has been that he limits the scale of support possible for Republican candidates. In reality, the exact opposite is true and evident in the data. It is President Trump who holds more public support than any Republican candidate, and they all ride his coattails.

When you really think about this dynamic, it centers the Machiavellian attacks against Trump by small professionally Republican pundits and candidates. Take the recent example of battleground state Pennsylvania as an example:

[Source Data]

President Trump is beating Joe Biden in this battleground state poll by 6 points.  However, the Republican Senate candidate, Dave McCormick, is running 7 points behind the Democrat Bob Casey.   The combined margin of difference is 13 points, or put another way – Trump pulls more support within the state than the Republican Party.

The Pennsylvania reality shows the scale of how much the Republican Party is now the party of Donald Trump.  The dynamic makes sense, because the overwhelming majority of middle class average Americans align with the policy agenda simply known as “America First.”

The distance between the Trump support base and the support base of the overall Republican Party is considerable.  Thus, if we can remove the larger influence of the corporate Republican apparatus from the RNC and party apparatus, the ranks of the new Trump era Republican Party will grow.

A new larger tent brand of Republican exists in the MAGAnomic policy, the economic policy of Trump that expands the wealth of the average American.   Thanks to the MAGA influence, the RNC/GOPe party of old crony capitalists and vulture hedge fund owners is diminishing rapidly.  The Wall Street tribe now assembles with the Democrats and the Main Street tribe now assembles with Trump republicanism.

That’s the dynamic we also see in the latest polling from Maine. Statewide, Donald Trump now leads Joe Biden by six points [Trump: 38% (+6), Biden: 32%], where only a few short months ago Biden was leading by one. The congressional districts highlight the changing electoral dynamic:

CD1
Biden: 39% (+8)
Trump: 31%
Other: 23%

CD2
Trump: 45% (+20)
Biden: 25%
Other: 19%

Why the big shift?   It’s the economic issues.  Look at the priorities:

President Trump Declared Winner of South Carolina Primary

Posted originally on the CTH on February 24, 2024 | Ad rem

It took less than a half hour for President Trump to be declared the winner of the South Carolina primary.  It was an easy roll to victory with the former president easily defeating former Gov. Nikki Haley in her own home state.  The race was called by major networks shortly after the polls closed at 7 pm.

There are 50 delegates at stake.   How they are apportioned is a bit tricky.  Trump has a lead of 25 to 30 points in most polls, positioning him to capture the 29 at-large delegates that go to the statewide winner. The remaining 21 delegates are divided among the state’s seven congressional districts.  The winner in each district gets three delegates – and Trump has a good chance of winning all seven congressional districts.

The next primary is Tuesday, in Michigan.
