Ohio Military personal being targeted off base?

I got this from a retired air force friend I removed the active duty NCO’s and Officers names and military email from this post but I have no reason to think this is not being done to our people. If anyone else has knowledge of these kinds of things add them to this and send on.

Please give widest distribution to fellow soldiers, all services, for their own protection.

Let your military buddies know about this ongoing problem that seems to be spreading. It currently seems to be on uniformed soldiers, but with most of us displaying licenses with military service on them or retired plates it also makes us a target as well. The bone heads don’t know the differences.

Warhawks!

Safety and security are paramount!

Please review the below messages.  While they happened in Ohio, this is
applicable to all of us because the targets were military personnel.  We
must all remain vigilant and ensure we are prepared for potential
hostilities.

Be safe!

Team,

This follows in line with one of our recruiters on Monday being followed by
four individuals in beards driving a car with Michigan tags.  Be safe and
make sure you’re aware of the environment.

Pioneers,

The Fort Knox CID Office just received and confirmed the below information.
I wanted to get this out asap to ensure our uniformed ROTC and Recruiters
are vigilant.  A formal alert will follow once we obtain more information.

The Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Office of Special Investigations (OSI)
reported last night (2200, 22 Sep 14), a uniformed Army Soldier was stopped
at a red light in Springfield, OH, when unknown
person(s) approached his vehicle and shot him in the face and subsequently
fled the area. At this point, it appears the Soldier will survive.

Six days prior to that, also in Springfield, OH, a female Airmen in uniform
was stopped at a red light when a car with 3 males inside pulled up beside
her vehicle. One of the males exited the vehicle and attempted to get into
her car, she sped away, they followed her, but she was able to escape
unharmed.

The OSI is in the process of coordinating with the Springfield PD and the
hospital where the Soldier is being treated to gain more information.

More information will follow once obtained.

With Honor & Integrity,

USAR Operations NCOIC
