The Creation of an American Monarchy

The Question today is can a Democracy last more than the 200 to 300 years that most political philosophers predict one can last? And the follow on question from the same political philosophers going back to Plato is will the potential new form of government be a Dictatorship or a Tyranny? Well citizens we are going to find out in the next couple of election cycles.

The answer to the question goes back to the founding of the country and the debate between the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists. The Federalists were for a strong central government and the Anti-Federalists were for a limited federal government with the compromise being the Bill-of-Rights. But the compromise was not enough and both factions continued to battle for control of the government and keeping a long story as short as possible the battle was basically between Thomas Jefferson (small government) and Alexander Hamilton (large government) with the Jeffersonian Republican party or the Democratic-Republican Party, in today’s parlance, being the ruling party until 1825 when it split into the Democrat party and the National Republican party which than turned into the Wigs and later into the present Republican Party under its first president Abraham Lincoln.

The Republican Party was based on northern white Protestants, businessmen, small business owners, professionals, factory workers, farmers, and African-Americans. It was pro-business, supporting banks, the gold standard, railroads, and high tariffs to protect factory workers and grow industry faster. In other words the middle class.

The Democrat party was a proponent for farmers (large farms as in the south), urban workers, and new immigrants. It advocated westward expansion, Manifest Destiny, greater equality among all “white” men.. The Democratic Party was predominantly based in the south and was pro slavery which meant that the civil war was really between the Republicans who favored individual freedom and small government and the Democratic Party which favored a powerful aristocratic system.

When the Republicans’ won the civil war the Democrats’ went into decline until they changed their message and became the Progressive Democratic’ under Wilson and FDR. Although the democratic message was that they were for the common man their true nature was everything but as their policies continued to concentrate power in the national capital. LBJ cemented their power in 1965 after president Kennedy was assassinated with eighty some legislative initiatives under the Great Society banner, which all sounded good but which striped almost all local control away from the states and placed it in Washington.

From that time forward the republic was doomed as spending was soon totally out of hand as the politicians, especial the Democrats, embraced the concept of “entitlements” which is what all political philosophers knew would happen as the citizens found they could elect politicians that would then transfer benefits to them. The federal budget today does little except tax and borrows money to transfer to blocks of citizens that than vote the politicians back in office. The problem with this is although there is much support of this kind of system, understandably, it is not sustainable using today parlance, the money has to come from somewhere there are no free lunches. Today it comes from China and other foreign sources that now own large portions of this country.

Most of the politicians understand this but as is always the case most politicians are there for their own personal gain not for the common man as they claim. To accumulate wealth and power requires a centralized place for controlling the economy and today that is in Washington DC where almost $4 trillion dollars flows through the federal system each year and that is approaching 25% of the nationals economy directly but practically its almost 100% when you consider regulatory rules such as promulgated by the FED, IRS, EPA, OSHA, HUD HHS SSA and many, many more. The following five books will give the reader an overview of the current situation. With the first two background and the next two what has taken us to where we are now, and the last one what we face.

The Five Thousand Year Leap, by W. Cleon Skousen
Free To Choose, by Milton and Rose Friedman
Reckless Endangerment, by Gretchen Morgenson and Joshua Rosner
Extortion, by Peter Schweitzer
The Ruling Class, by Angelo M. Codevilla

The creation of an American ruling class has been the goal of the Democrats since the party was formed basically in the antebellum south. Why people today can’t see this is a mystery but then the progressive Democrats’ have taken control of the American education system (part of the 1965 initiatives) and changed history to support their goals. The current American President Barrack H. Obama is the one that the progressives picked to complete their takeover of the country in 2008. Everyone was made to look at his race and diverted from looking at his policies. His race was never an issue and his policies were but one could not talk about them since it would be a criticism of his race. Rush Limbaugh spoke of this after his election since he as well as many others, with more Jeffersonian views of government, saw that it was a huge mistake to elect someone with his views and background to the presidency of this country. Clearly the man was a believer in the principles of Karl Marx and powerful central governments that go with that belief structure.

The actions taken on November 20, 2014, especially after the November 4, 2014 wave election which decimated the Democratic Party and repudiated the views of president Obama and his party, clearly show that he doesn’t care what the people want. He is transforming the country, into a Marxist government, whether the rest of us want it or not, and most do not, so the outcome will probably be a second American civil war as there is now no choice. The actions of this president will complete the destruction of the American middle class which has been decimated over the past six years. According to the BLS there were at the end of September 2014 3,105,000 fewer jobs in the traditional good paying manufacturing jobs that existed in 2007. They have been replaced with 4,594,600 low paying jobs in retail, food services and hospitality. Household income is down and the labor participation rate is at an all time low and transfer payments to the low income citizens have sky rocked as a result.

It’s my opinion that this is all part of a progressive plan formulated out of the Cloward-Piven strategy to split the country into hard social classes an underclass including a limited middle class and a ruling class comprised of the old antebellum south and their modern descendants the progressive Democrats’.

Once enough citizens realize what was done on November 20, 2014 the result is likely to be violent and result in a physical conflict that will change the country and the world for the rest of this century. The Inevitability of this is explained in another book The Fourth Turning by William Strauss and Neil Howe. They explained in their 1997 book that a major change was coming and that by 2020 or earlier there was a high likelihood of a major war (WW II kind of war) or a civil war (like the first one) in the United Sates. The made a very strong case of this and their views have come mostly true since the book was written.

I would prefer that they were wrong but I see nothing that is going on today that would indicate that that would be so. So I hope and pray for a different outcome but the only ones that could stop this from happening are in the Republican Party and they, who represent the Tea Party, are much too small a faction to make a difference.

God Bless America and lead us from the temptation of progressive socialism.
