Social distancing.  Shelter-in-place.  Flatten the curve

The mask I have been wearing is one of those that goes around your neck and then you pull it up to cover your mouth and nose.  A friend of mine gave it to me.  They wear them when they go motorcycle riding.  I kind of wish I used to have one of these masks when I was in construction for twenty years.  Fourteen of those years were in the trenching industry, and I ate a lot of dust over the years.

We have been told these coronavirus policies are in place because the experts in government, and surrounding our government officials, have recommended them.  The experts are always right, we are told, even though they’ve been pretty much wrong during this entire alleged pandemic.

Expert: An ‘ex’ is a has-been, and a s’pert’ is a drip.

I am beginning to believe that we might need to change the term expert, when referring to these folks, to something more appropriate, like “puppets” or “lackeys”.

We have been introduced to brand new terms.  Social distancing.  Shelter-in-place.  Flatten the curve.

We have been relegated to our homes, and our basic natural rights and liberties have been stripped from us, in the name of keeping us safe from this killer virus, so that we may “flatten the curve”, which is necessary (we are told) so that our medical facilities are not overwhelmed with hundreds of thousands of sick people.  The timeline could be long, beyond the end of summer, but it is necessary for as long as they say it is necessary, even if it collapses our economy.

At this point of one of my COVID-19 rants I am usually called a racist, or a bigot, because I apparently want to reopen the economy so that more black and brown people can die.  My Mexican wife, when she hears those accusations, just laughs.  So do my friends I grew up with when I was a tyke on the mean streets of North Long Beach.

Because of the severity and horrible nature of the coronavirus, we have been told, if we don’t flatten the curve, our health care system may be overwhelmed by the sick and dying and that would cause people to die who could have otherwise been saved.  Allowing people to die like that is just not acceptable.  We must flatten the curve in order to save lives.

By the way, during the pandemic, all abortion clinics have remained open.

With that in mind, I thought the pro-abortion people say “my body, my choice.”  Shouldn’t that be true about my decision on going out into public, with or without a mask, and whether or not I buy into the social distance bologna?

Shelter-in-place, to put it another way, is the practice of quarantining the healthy.  We obeyed, we were good Americans, and we agreed to lock ourselves inside our homes as the virus slowly worked its way through our society.  We stopped working.  We stopped buying.  We stopped going out to eat.  We stopped pursuing entertainment venues, going to ballgames, going to the movies, and going to bars.  We have refrained from traveling around the country.  And, when it got hot, we were even banned from going to the park, or the beach.  But, that’s okay, we told ourselves.  We are saving lives.

Never mind how many lives may be lost during an economic collapse, nor how many hospital beds are empty during this time period in which we were told we would be overwhelmed with patients coughing and wheezing and dying from the big bad coronavirus.

The authoritarians then kicked into high gear, and passed laws or made executive orders or pushed policies that no liberty-loving American in their right mind would have thought was possible in a place like the United States of America.  Pastors have been fined for holding church services.  Citizens have been fined for going to the park or to the beach, because the only allowable travel is to the grocery store, or to seek medical attention.

And the truth is, the coronavirus was never about anything they told us.  They knew that this was never about saving the healthcare system from crashing, because we have saved the system from crashing already, and most of us are still in lockdown.  And what about States with low populations?  Why are we demanding that they are on lockdown?  Do we really think this coronavirus will overwhelm their healthcare systems?

There is no curve to flatten

Never mind the fact that anti-body studies have increased the estimates of the number of infected so high that when you compare the numbers of folks who are actually symptomatic, or the number of deaths (even the padded deceptive numbers) to even the most conservative estimates of worldwide cases of the coronavirus, it turns out you have a better chance of being struck by lightning than dying from COVID-19 … and that number is even more ridiculously low if you are not a member of any of the groups at risk (elderly, low immunity systems due to other health issues, etc.).

There is no curve to flatten.

The experts were wrong, and the authoritarians in government offices are loving it.

I can’t believe how paranoid people are over this, too.  I see people walking their dogs with masks on.  Driving their car, as they are alone in their car, with a mask on.  A friend of mine was yelled at by a leftist loony for not having her mask on in the parking lot, as she walked alone, more than twenty feet from anyone.

They say that we should still plan for the worst.  It is better to be safe than sorry.

Destroying the economy is not sorry enough for these folks?  We planned for the worst and the worst didn’t happen.  And now that it is essentially over, lockdowns are being extended.

There will never be a zero risk

Why?  Why are they extending the deception and misinformation as far as they are?

Because this has nothing to do with a virus.  It is all about the liberal left shoving their agenda into place, despite your protests, despite who is President, and despite the laws of the country or the U.S. Constitution.  After Hillary Clinton lost they lost all of their patience, and the coronavirus, in their minds, is the perfect excuse to push their authoritarian agenda into place, anyway.

“We have to wait until there is zero risk” they say.

There will never be a zero risk.  You want zero risk?  Don’t drive your car.  Don’t go outside.  Don’t participate in any activity.  Don’t plug anything into your wall outlets, and for God’s Sake, don’t cook for yourself.

We have waited too long, we have screwed our economy a bit too much, and I want to go to a restaurant, have a couple tacos, chips and salsa, and order a margarita … and none of that will be possible if we crash the whole economy and we are all living in cardboard boxes, looking over our shoulders every time we hear someone cough.  We need to open America now!  And I am not talking some careful, bit by bit, reopening.  Throw the doors open, and let’s get back to the American Way.

The world blew a major gasket over the Coronavirus and destroyed booming economies. How will it handle the next health crisis, put everyone in shackles and those who cough and sneeze in quarantines (Latin for 40 days) that last a vague and undecided time? As my wise grandma used to say, “the country is burning, and the old lady is combing her hair.”

The virus is real and treatable, however, according to the Washington Times;

“COVID-19 will go down as one of the political world’s biggest, most shamefully overblown, overhyped, overly and irrationally inflated and outright deceptively flawed responses to a health matter in American history, one that was carried largely on the lips of medical professionals who have no business running a national economy or government.”

Depending on where you live, the government either ignored the crisis, i.e., Sweden, and let the herd immunity run its course, or instituted a complete lockdown of the country and of the economy similar to a martial law, with police and the military controlling the comings and goings of the population who were only allowed to go to grocery stores and pharmacies.

People who had other ailments stayed home for fear of dying of COVID-19 in the hospital and some died in their homes of heart attacks or other perhaps treatable illnesses.

Elective surgeries were no longer performed, hospitals were mostly empty, staff and doctors laid off, some doctors offered on line conferences (the patients had to take their own temp and blood pressure), or people languished in pain at home.

A beauty salon operator who defied her business closure order by the state and local governments in Texas went to jail for 7 days, the length of time her salon had been opened without the government’s permission. Hailed as a hero by many, she defied the judge’s orders to stay closed; she explained that making a living to feed one’s hungry family and to pay the bills is not a crime.

Lei Fang and colleagues wrote in the Lancet, Respiratory Medicine, on March 26, 2020 that they extrapolated results from a molecular study of coronaviruses, which showed that this group of viruses uses angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) to target cells on the epithelium of the lungs, intestine, kidneys, and blood vessels. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), would probably share these properties.

The scientists also wrote in the Lancet that “The fast-developing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was first reported from Wuhan, China, and has spread globally.”

By March 22, 2020 “among 191 patients hospitalized with COVID-19, the most significant comorbidities with significant effects on mortality were hypertension (30%), diabetes (36%) and coronary heart disease (15%).”

“In an analysis of 201 patients with COVID-19, 84 (42%) patients developed acute respiratory distress syndrome, with hypertension (27%) and diabetes (19%) as the most common comorbidities.”

In 1984, Dr. Anthony Fauci became director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). In this position, he would have known about the article published in the Virology Journal on August 22, 2005, “Chloroquine is a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread.”

The scientists reported that “chloroquine has strong antiviral effects on SARS-CoV infection of primate cells. These inhibitory effects are observed when the cells are treated with the drug either before or after exposure to the virus, suggesting both prophylactic and therapeutic advantage.”

“Chloroquine is effective in preventing the spread of SARS CoV in cell culture. Favorable inhibition of virus spread was observed when the cells were either treated with chloroquine prior to or after SARS CoV infection. In addition, the indirect immunofluorescence assay described herein represents a simple and rapid method for screening SARS-CoV antiviral compounds.”

For 15 years Dr. Fauci must have known that both chloroquine and its milder derivative hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), sold as Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine sulfate), and given to patients for treatment of malaria, Lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis, will both treat a current case of coronavirus (therapeutic) and prevent future cases (prophylactic), making HCQ a cure and a “vaccine” of sorts. The 2005 article stated that “concentrations of 10 μM completely abolished SARS-CoV infection.” They added “chloroquine can effectively reduce the establishment of infection and spread of SARS-CoV.”

As non-scientists, we must still ask particularly important questions:

1. If we knew since 2005 that HCQ was effective, why have HCQ, Zithromax, and zinc not been widely used on COVID patients instead of ventilators?
2. And why have we allowed draconian governors to lock down healthy and frightened populations panicked by the media for so long, eight weeks and counting, instead of allowing herd immunity to take place?
3. Why have so many life-altering decisions been made not just in the U.S. but all over the world, destroying strong economies such as the U.S.—to develop a vaccine 18 months from now?
4. Why have we been so decisively influenced by faulty computer modeling?

In the process, people resigned themselves to this forfeiture of so many freedoms in exchange for an imagined temporary safety offered by governments in control. Among the many losses were freedom to earn a living, of speech, of movement, of assembly, and of religion.

The mayor of Kansas City, Missouri demanded that churches record the names and contact information of everyone who attended a “religious gathering” so that the Kansas City Department of Public Health could “quickly trace, test, and isolate individuals.”

I am really stunned and frightened that this is happening in America, in the “free world.” Such neighborly snitching and informing only happened under fascist and communist tyrannical regimes, not in an open society.

“Hollywood stars Cate Blanchett, Jane Fonda, Marion Cotillard and Monica Bellucci also added their names to the open letter published in the French daily Le Monde pleading for an end to unbridled consumerism and a “radical transformation” of economies to help save the planet.” (Yahoo)

“We believe it is unthinkable to ‘go back to normal’,” said the letter which was also signed by Nobel laureates for medicine, chemistry and physics as well as peace prize winner Muhammad Yunus.

“They said the pandemic was a tragedy but it was a chance for humanity to “examine what is essential”.

“Adjustments are not enough. The problem is systemic,” the letter added.

“The ongoing ecological catastrophe is a meta-crisis. Unlike a pandemic… a global ecological collapse will have immeasurable consequences,” it said.

“The 200 signatories said it was time for leaders “to leave behind the unsustainable logic that still prevails and to undertake a profound overhaul of our goals, values, and economies.”

Try mitigating that, Doctors Fauci and Birx, in the case of the former, now that common groupie Fauci is not checking in on CNN’s not long ago virus-stricken Chris (Fredo) Cuomo every day.

The 200 signatories finger ““The pursuit of consumerism and an obsession with productivity” as an excuse for not wanting the world to “go back to normal”:

“The pursuit of consumerism and an obsession with productivity have led us to deny the value of life itself: that of plants, that of animals, and that of a great number of human beings,” the short letter added.

“Pollution, climate change, and the destruction of our remaining natural zones has brought the world to a breaking point.”

Gavin Newsom and Nancy Pelosi, stopped going back to normal when they allowed people to defecate in the streets

Noteworthy how so many of them waited until their golden years after milking consumerism for all it was worth before coming forward to…“save the planet”.

The stars and scientists are aided and abetted in holding a locked down world hostage by elected officials and at least one church leader.

“We’re not going back to normal,” said (Gavin) Newsom, who gave Tuesday’s press briefing from the site of a Sacramento business called Display California. “It’s a new normal with adaptations and modifications, until we get to immunity and a vaccine.” (SF Gate, May 5, 2020)

Newsom and other elected officials, including Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, stopped going back to normal when they allowed people to defecate in the streets—pollution in its purest form.

“Newsom first announced yesterday that some retail sectors (including bookstores, clothing shops, sporting goods stores and flower shops) can resume business as long as their local officials give approval and they make changes in their operations, such as having workers wear masks. This marks the start of the state moving into the second of four phases for reopening (read about each stage on SFGATE).” (SF Gate)

Up until the pandemic hit, mostly bank robbers, terrorists and anarchists wore face masks, now they’re being forced on the public at large.

Only a pontiff who puts saving the environment ahead of saving souls could Tweet out such Green New Deal idiocy

Don’t venture out of your home without a face mask, or you will be slapped with a steep fine you cannot afford to pay.

Meanwhile, the Democrats—still on a rampage to bring down President Donald Trump—may not have created the pandemic scare, but sure know how to exploit it.

Don’t expect the lockdown that followed COVID-19 to end until after November 3 elections now that those with easy uncensored access to social media are taking the world BAT (you-know-what) CRAZY.
