Mike Pence Says He Will Not Vote for Donald Trump

Posted originally on the CTH on March 15, 2024 | Sundance

Playing the role of the faithful corporate republican, former Vice-President Mike Pence appears on Fox News today to advocate for the nation state of Israel and disparage President Donald Trump.

One does not need to be a deep weeds political follower to understand the motives of Pence and how they relate to his corporate republican alignment.  The Wall Street, Sea Island group who operate in the multinational financial world, in combination with the professional political class who organize both wings of the UniParty system are diametrically opposed to President Donald Trump.  This is Mike Pence’s tribe, and his influence and affluence are dependent on his association.  WATCH:

.

There’s a sense of disgust, a genuine dislike of people who hold the personality traits of Mike Pence.  President Donald Trump really did become a touchstone to reveal the deep rot within our USA body politic.  In the Trump era we see just how horrid and corrupt the system is.

If you stand back and think about it, more people voted for President Trump than any republican in history; a man who has withstood some of the most vicious and vitriolic attacks in history.  Yet, here stands the sanctimonious Mike Pence declaring himself as the arbiter of all things republican.  I dislike these people immensely.

Judge Cannon Denies, for Now, the Trump Motion to Dismiss Classified Documents Case

Posted originally on the CTH on March 14, 2024 | Sundance

Earlier today in Florida, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon carefully listened to lengthy oral arguments about the initial charges brought against President Donald Trump in the classified documents case.

While listening to a debate on terminology and odd interpretation of application to the statute of the Espionage Act, a case study in Lawfare as presented, Judge Cannon decided in a later ruling to defer the nuances of legislative interpretation until later in the trial pleadings.  Her 2-page Ruling is here.

While many voices say this initial motion to dismiss failed, there are several indications the ruling was more about targeting the issue of statutory definitions to latter phases in the pretrial legal process.  Essentially, allowing the DOJ to try and square the circles that are seemingly unsquarable.

Cannon is avoiding the trap of removal from the case by carefully and meticulously following a very routing process to allow the full sunlight of judicial consideration to apply at the moment when the interpretation has the greatest importance.  Despite ruling against dismissal, this is not a loss for the Trump legal team, as the issues behind the dismissal motion have not been rectified.  These issues will surface again at more critical moments.

If the Lawfare case is going to be dismissed in whole, as opposed to part by part, Julie Kelly was present in the court and also noticed that Judge Cannon appears to be positioning herself to dismiss the case on “selective prosecution” grounds. See this Great Thread HERE.

Summary.

While Cannon did not accept the Trump motion to dismiss today, the elements of today’s motion will face strong scrutiny as the case progresses.  Additionally, if the case is to be dismissed, the technical definitions could be moot if the judge uses another more transparently obvious context, “selective prosecution,” to dismiss the case.

With Resounding Wins in Georgia and Mississippi, President Trump is the Official Republican Nominee

Posted originally on the CTH on March 13, 2024 | Sundance

The AP delayed their reporting of the delegate count, but with bigly wins in Georgia and Mississippi, President Trump has officially garnered enough delegates to be the presidential nominee for the Republican party.

[AP Delegate Count Link]

None of the contests were even close, which further highlights just how ridiculous it was for the professional financial apparatus to spend so much money trying to boost an alternative candidate against the overwhelming intent of the Republican base.

Congratulations to the movement that Trump represents on behalf of all commonsense pragmatic Americans.  Giddy up, the fight against the communists is officially designated.

The Empirical MAGAnomic Reality that Destroys Gary Cohn’s Claim About Trump Tariffs

Posted originally on the CTH on March 10, 2024 | Sundance

Our own analysis of U.S. consumer prices in 2019 showed that prices of imported goods actually declined despite the tariffs. A recent report from CPA takes a look at the impact to Chinese exports to the U.S.  [SEE DATA HERE] Bottom line, the tariffs worked to reduce Chinese imports.

CPA – […] Since the Section 301 tariffs were imposed, the share of imports from China has steadily declined from 21.6% in 2017 the year prior to the tariffs to 16.5%, a decline of 5.1%. No other country has lost as much share of total U.S. import penetration over the past five years.

In terms of total import value, Mexico gained the most from the tariffs, adding $110.8 billion. Vietnam gained the second most in import value by $78.4 billion and by far gained the most of total share of U.S. imports. In 2017, Vietnam accounted for about 2% of U.S. imports at $46.5 billion. In 2022, the U.S. imported $127.5 billion in goods from Vietnam, and the share of the total nearly doubled to 3.9%. Other countries in Southeast Asia such as Thailand, Cambodia, and Indonesia all saw significant increases in their value of imports by the U.S. (read more)

With the 2024 election rapidly coming, it is worth revisiting the actual tariff outcome to American consumers in order to dispel the popular myths about tariffs raising prices here at home.  This might be the cited data you want to bookmark for later reference.

It was the Fourth Quarter of 2019…..

Right before the pandemic would hit a few months later, despite two years of doomsayer predictions from Wall Street’s professional punditry, all of them said Trump’s 2017 steel and aluminum tariffs on China, Canada and the EU would create massive inflation – it just wasn’t happening!

Overall, year-over-year inflation was hovering around 1.7 percent [Table-A BLS]; yup, that was our inflation rate.  The rate in the latter half of 2019 was firmed up with less month-over-month fluctuation, and the rate basically remained consistent.   [See Below]  The U.S. economy was on a smooth glide path, strong, stable, and Main Street was growing with MAGAnomics at work.

A couple of important points.  First, unleashing the energy sector to drive down overall costs to consumers, and industry outputs was a key part of President Trump’s America First MAGAnomic initiative.  Lower energy prices help the worker economy, middle class and average American more than any other sector.

Which brings us to the second important point.  Notice how food prices had very low year-over-year inflation – 0.5 percent.  That is a combination of two key issues: low energy costs, and the fracturing of Big Ag’s hold on the farm production and the export dynamic:

(BLS) […] The index for food at home declined for the third month in a row, falling 0.2 percent. The index for meats, poultry, fish, and eggs decreased 0.7 percent in August as the index for eggs fell 2.6 percent. The index for fruits and vegetables, which rose in July, fell 0.5 percent in August; the index for fresh fruits declined 1.4 percent, but the index for fresh vegetables rose 0.4 percent. The index for cereals and bakery products fell 0.3 percent in August after rising 0.3 percent in July. (link)

For the previous twenty years, food prices had been increasingly controlled by Big Ag, and not by normal supply and demand.   The commodity market became a ‘controlled market’. U.S. food outputs (farm production) was controlled and exported to keep the U.S. consumer paying optimal prices.

President Trump’s trade reset was disrupting this process.  As farm products were less exported, the cost of the food in our supermarket became reconnected to a ‘more normal’ supply and demand cycle.  Food prices dropped, and our pantry costs were lowered.

The Commerce Dept. then announced that retail sales climbed by 0.4 percent in August 2019, twice as high as the 0.2 percent analysts had predicted. The result highlighted retail sales strength of more than 4 percent year-over-year.   These excellent results came on the heels of blowout data in July, when households boosted purchases of cars and clothing.

The better-than-expected number stemmed largely from a 1.8 percent jump in spending vehicles. Online sales, meanwhile, also continued to climb, rising 1.6 percent. That’s similar to July 2019, when Amazon held its two-day blowout Prime Day sale. (link)

Despite the efforts to remove and impeach President Trump, it did not look like middle class America was overly concerned about the noise coming from the pundits.   Likely that’s because blue collar wages were higher, Main Street inflation was lower, and overall consumer confidence was strong.  Yes, MAGAnomics was working.

Additionally, remember all those MSM hours and newspaper column inches where the professional financial pundits were claiming Trump’s tariffs were going to cause massive increases in prices of consumer goods?

Well, exactly the opposite happened [BLS report] Import prices were continuing to drop:

[Table 1 – BLS report link]

This was a really interesting dynamic that no one in the professional punditry would dare explain.

Donald Trump’s tariffs were targeted to specific sectors of imported products.  [Steel, Aluminum, and a host of smaller sectors etc.]  However, when the EU and China responded by devaluing their currency, that approach hit all products imported, not just the tariff goods.

Because the EU and China were driving up the value of the dollar, everything we were importing became cheaper.   Not just imports from Europe and China, but actually imports from everywhere.   All imports were entering the U.S. at substantially lower prices.

This meant when we imported products, we were also importing deflation.

This price result is exactly the opposite of what the economic experts and Wall Street pundits predicted back in 2017 and 2018 when they were pushing the rapid price increase narrative.

Because all the export dependent economies were reacting with such urgency to retain their access to the U.S. market, aggregate import prices were actually lower than they were when the Trump tariffs began:

[…]  Prices for imports from China edged down 0.1 percent in August following decreases of 0.2 percent in both July and June. Import prices from China have not advanced on a monthly basis since ticking up 0.1 percent in May 2018. The price index for imports from China fell 1.6 percent for the year ended in August.

[…]  Import prices from the European Union fell 0.2 percent in August and 0.3 percent over the past 12 months.

[Page #4 – BLS Report, pdf] – BLS press release.

So yes, we know President Trump can save Social Security and Medicare by expanding the economy with his America First economic policy.  We do not need to guess if it is possible or listen to pundits theorize about his approach being some random ‘catch phrase’ disconnected from reality.  Yes folks, we have the receipts.

This was MAGAnomics at work, and this is entirely what created the middle class MAGA coalition.  No other Republican candidate has this economic policy in their outlook, because all other candidates are purchased by the Wall Street multinationals.

America First MAGAnomics is unique to President Trump, because he is the only one independent enough to implement them.

That’s just the reality of the situation.  They hate him for it…

Absolutely Stunning Data Point: The MAGA Movement Supporting Donald Trump Took the RNC from 3 Million to 50 Million E-Mail Subscribers

Posted originally on the CTH on March 9, 2024 | Sundance

I always knew the number was BIG based on the 2016 reaction of Reince Priebus; however, I never fathomed the scale of Trump’s donor base was this much bigger than the RNC.

The number of email-subscribers, specific financial supporters who ultimately create the donor outreach list, is a closely held datapoint by the RNC and DNC, and yet it surfaces buried in a discussion by outgoing RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel.   Check this out (emphasis mine):

Politico – […] McDaniel briefly became emotional when she discussed her family’s support after Trump chose her to take the role as RNC chair. And she lauded changes made at the party while she was in charge, including the creation of the WinRed online fundraising platform, growing the RNC’s email list from 3 million to 50 million subscribers and “engaging minority voters and bringing them into the party.” McDaniel cited GOP gains in 2022 with Asian, Hispanic and Black voters.

I wrote about this in 2016 during the Republican primary when Donald Trump was starting to dominate the field.  [SEE HERE]

When candidate Trump became the presumptive nominee, and after he secured the required number of delegates, the procedural process within the RNC/candidate agreement required the winning nominee to turn over his donor files.

You might well remember how suddenly Reince Priebus went from reluctantly accepting Trump, to being an extraordinarily enthusiastic supporter of candidate Trump’s policies.   Within weeks the RNC essentially allowed team Trump to write the entire 2016 platform; it was a rather stunning shift in position for Priebus and the RNC that could only be explained by the RNC chair seeing something extraordinary in the data.

Well, that admission by Ronna McDaniel well explains the scale of that data transfer.  Prior to the era of MAGA and Trump, the RNC had a registered subscriber/donor list of around 3 million small donors.  Today, thanks to the MAGA movement and the support network of small donors that assembled with Trump, that number is now 50 million.

Jumpin’ ju-ju bones.  From 3 to 50 million, all because of Donald Trump. Wow.

Yeah, with that context as the backdrop, the recent RNC acquiescence to Donald Trump makes a ton of sense.

(Via Politico) – Donald Trump cemented his control of the Republican National Committee on Friday after members formally voted to install his handpicked candidates — including his daughter-in-law — in top roles at the party.

Michael Whatley, chair of the North Carolina Republican Party, has been named the new chair of the RNC, replacing Ronna McDaniel, whom Trump pressured to vacate her post. While assembled for a hastily called meeting in Houston, the committee also installed Lara Trump, the former president’s daughter-in-law, as co-chair, and agreed by acclamation to consider Trump to be the party’s nominee.

Trump’s senior campaign adviser Chris LaCivita will be made the RNC’s chief operating officer.

In his acceptance speech, Whatley said the RNC will work “hand in glove” with Trump’s campaign over the next eight months to improve the party’s get-out-the-vote efforts and to “support the sanctity of their vote.”

“If a dollar that we have is not directed towards winning this November, that dollar will not be spent,” Whatley said, a remark that was echoed by Lara Trump as she held up a $100,000 check she said she had just been handed for the RNC.

While picking a family member for a top party role is not standard protocol, it is not unheard of. Ronald Reagan’s daughter was elected co-chair of the RNC in 1987. And it is typical for a president to select allies to run party operations and ensure support from the national committee.

But Trump’s decision to announce a new slate of RNC leaders before securing the required delegates to be the GOP nominee angered some Trump critics both on and off the committee. He did so in February, when Nikki Haley was still running for president, and she criticized both the RNC and McDaniel for trying to push her out of the primary. (read more)

Do not just brush past this information as unimportant or simply inside baseball.  This is a YUGE deal.

I want every person associated with the Tea Party movement of 2010 to stand and take a bow.  Guys, we did it…  we actually did it.  Feel awesome about this.

Essentially the RNC of Bush, Romney and the corporate Republican apparatus is dead.  The MAGA grassroots movement is now in control.

50 million registered supporters of the GREAT MIDDLE CLASS movement, represented by Donald Trump, is the core of the “silent majority.

That number isn’t just big, it’s YUGE!  Lean into it; it’s time to leverage the scale of this assembly.

No wonder the Deep State is scared!

President Trump Meets with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban as Apoplectic Lawfare Team Looks On

Posted originally on the CTH on March 9, 2024 | Sundance

The next six weeks will be very interesting, as the April 19th clock-ticking dynamic leading up to the expiration of the 702-surveillance authority looms louder.  Some voices have said to me that President Trump needs to be careful of the Title-1 surveillance that surrounds him. I completely reject that approach.

There was a specific reason the Lawfare group charged Donald Trump with “national security” violations. Smart people can well understand the benefit to the surveillance state of the U.S. intelligence community, when Jack Smith defines President Trump as a national security threat under the same justification framework used against Anwar Nasser Abdulla al-Awlaki. The options for the FBI-CoIntel unit assigned to monitor Trump are expanded by the definitions of the DOJ-National Security Division.

Ultimately, sunlight is the best disinfectant, and the best defense against the FBI counterintelligence surveillance is to conduct affairs in a very public way.  This approach, which I fully advocate and endorse, leaves the institutional watchers with gritted teeth as transparency makes it more difficult to create narratives that are contingent upon defining the innocuous as nefarious.

Additionally, if concern over the content of any meeting (think the insufferable Logan Act construct as previously created by Mary McCord) is generated, those approaches -when contrast against the ongoing Lawfare tactics- are made moot and useless to the NSD – and by extension the judicial branch, when President Donald Trump includes his legal counsel in any meeting.  [Hi Mary]

Hungarian Prime Minister Orban is well advised by his counsel as is President Donald Trump. As an outcome of their nationalist ideology, both leaders are targets of the U.S. intelligence community (CIA) and national security state (DoS and USAID).

WASHINGTON DC – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán traveled to Florida on Friday to visit Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, in a meeting blasted by U.S. President Joe Biden.

The get-together at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort came shortly after Orbán endorsed the former U.S. president’s bid to return to the White House this year. The meeting continued Trump’s embrace of autocratic leaders pushing back against democratic traditions.

The Trump campaign said late Friday that the two long-time allies discussed “a wide range of issues affecting Hungary and the United States, including the paramount importance of strong and secure borders to protect the sovereignty of each nation.”

Biden said of Trump: “You know who he’s meeting with today down in Mar-a-Lago? Orbán of Hungary, who’s stated flatly that he doesn’t thinks democracy works, he’s looking for dictatorship.”

“I see a future where we defend democracy, not diminish it,” Biden added, during a campaign stop in Pennsylvania on Friday. (read more)

Cry harder pudding brain: although to be fair, Joe Biden has no idea what his people are telling him to rail against. So, there’s that.

The alignment of geopolitical interests against the larger effort of the U.S. intelligence community and their multinational corporate benefactors continues.

Prime Minister Viktor Orban is one of the more unapologetic members of the international resistance group who dispatch the efforts of the WEF assembly. However, he’s not alone. More international leaders are becoming less concerned about the threats and influence of/from U.S. intelligence apparatus as the global cleaving continues.

Ultimately, if the U.S. deep state, represented by Jack Smith, Mary McCord, Norm Eisen, Andrew Weissmann and the Lawfare community are going to try and exploit their manufactured legal authorities, they run the risk of the American people asking questions about the political surveillance being conducted against the leading opposition to the current Democrat/Communist regime occupying the White House.

President Trump knows how to use this dynamic and push the awakening into the public psyche.  These new forms of “democracy,” as described by the people behind Joe Biden, consist of something that is entirely divergent from the framework of the United States Constitution.

One of the best defenses is to just simply permit the communists to try and exploit their political surveillance as part of their election year narrative.  Allowing the American people to see and understand the weaponized surveillance state is one of the most important elements to eliminate it.
