Federal Marshal Shoots Carjacker at Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor Residence

This is so typically DC; the irony is a little grimacing on many levels.  Apparently a not very smart carjacker pulled a gun and tried to steal a car belonging to a federal marshal while he was on the protective detail of Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s condo in DC.

In response, the marshal fired “several shots” at the carjacker along with shots from another officer on the detail.  The young ‘dindunuffin’ was not seriously injured but suffered a major hemorrhaging in street credibility amid the local DC thug population.  Meanwhile, Justice Sotomayor is fine and continues to Build the Better World that surrounds her.

(WASHINGTON DC) – A deputy U.S. Marshal tasked with protecting Supreme Court justices’ homes shot an alleged armed carjacker near the Washington residence of Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor last week, authorities said Tuesday.

The suspect, 18-year-old Kentrell Flowers of Southeast D.C., allegedly pulled a handgun on the marshal, who was in a parked car in the Northwest section of the city around 1:15 a.m. ET on Friday, the Metropolitan Police Department said in a press release.

The marshal drew his own gun and “fired several shots at the suspect,” the MPD said. Another marshal in a separate vehicle also fired at Flowers, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said. (read more)

Lord, please help me not to laugh about this because none of it is funny, yet for some reason I cannot stop snickering.

I always got in trouble when I was a kid for laughing at the wrong stuff.

Made in Mexico

US manufacturing is in trouble as companies move offshore to avoid taxation, high wages, and asinine green legislation. John Deere, an American branded company, announced it will move manufacturing from Illinois to Ramos, Mexico. This is part of a growing trend of companies simply finding it difficult to turn a profit in the US.

John Deere is moving numerous plants to Mexico, effectively eliminating over 4,000 manufacturing jobs. As I have noted in other posts, the Biden Administration sought to expand manufacturing roles by 1 million in 2024 but has seen a contraction. As for John Deere, the issue of a shrinking agricultural sector is partnering with heightened manufacturing costs. The Department of Agriculture noted a 7% decline in farms across the nation since 2017, with only 1.89 million remaining. The USDA predicts net income from agriculture will fall by 27% in 2024, or $43 billion. Animal products and crops are also believed to be in decline, with the USDA foreseeing a $21 billion loss in revenue for 2024.

AutoManufacturing

The USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement) has made it easier for corporations to leave the US and Canada in favor of Mexico. The automotive industry has already fled to Mexico with BMW, Honda, Ford, General Motors, Audi, Nissan, Tesla, Mazda, and Toyota all breaking ground on new manufacturing plants. States like Illinois and Michigan are especially feeling the effects of this shift. Texas and bordering states have felt the effects of “near-shoring” business alliances since the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the predecessor of the USMCA.

MadeinMexico

The average hourly salary for unskilled labor is $4.55 per hour in Mexico compared to $17.42 in the US. The cost of living is simply drastically less in Mexico than in the US or Canada. Mexico has a robust, educated workforce, with more students graduating with engineering degrees than in America. There is also a strong apprenticeship aspect to trade labor in Mexico, with multiple generations of men honing their skills from a young age.

Mexico has adopted policies in recent years to attract business, holding 14 free trade agreements with over 46 nations. IMMEX (Industria Manufacturera, Maquiladora y de Servicios de Exportación) has boosted manufacturing as it permits companies to avoid taxes when importing materials used to manufacture goods. The Sectoral Promotion Programs (PROSEC) reduces Most Favored Nations (MFN) tariffs to 5% if not zero and expands across 20 sectors.

Aerospace, automotives, electronics, and more have left the US in favor of Mexico. Manufacturing contributes to 16% of Mexico’s GDP and the sector has expanded a 3.2% annual growth over the past 10 years.

Mexico dethroned China to become the top exporter of goods to the US in 2023, exporting $475.6 billion to the US in 2023, a 5% YoY uptick. This is the first time in two decades that Mexico’s exports to the US surpassed China’s, as Chinese exports fell 20% for the year. Biden calls nearshoring a method of “friend-shoring,” as it is safer to depend on a country geopolitically aligned.

Yes, businesses based in America will still pay Uncle Sam, but the allure of cheaper production and labor is causing numerous sectors to decline rapidly. Then we have state laws in the US in addition to federal that undercut revenue, but the politicians in charge at the state level are not concerned about the GDP or world trade. Those decision-makers only need to focus on their next election to remain in power, whether it is a detriment to America as a whole or not. Analysts will claim that sending jobs and manufacturing to Mexico is a partnership, but capitalism is indeed a game, and in this situation, Mexico has the upper hand over the rest of North America.

June Jobs Report is WEAK

Posted Jul 9, 2024 By Martin Armstrong

Jobs

The June jobs report revealed better than anticipated results with 206,000 new jobs now added to the US economy. Is Bidenomics working? Absolutely not. The jobs reports are inflated because the Biden Administration has been multiplying the public sector.

Of the 206,000 new jobs, 70,000 were created within government, surpassing the 49,000 government jobs created last June. Local government accounted for the bulk of new positions within the private sector last month. One-third of all new positions created in June are within the government, funded by taxpayers, and add nothing to the overall GDP. The public sector is growing at the highest annual pace since the 1990s.

manufacturing man 1

America needs manufacturing positions. Our industries are fleeing the nation entirely and our ability to produce has been drastically undercut. At least 10% of overall GDP is at risk. The Biden Administration aimed to increase manufacturing hires by 1 million in 2024. The sector lost 9,000 positions in February and then failed to gain a single hire in March. The data for April and May is still preliminary and can be revised, but they believe there was a net gain of 5,000 manufacturing jobs from December 2023 to May 2024 based on the Bureau of Labor and Statistics.  Now, initial results show that the US shed even more manufacturing jobs in June.

April’s job report was revised down to 108,000 compared to the initially reported 165,000 positions. May’s report was also revised to show 218,000 new jobs vs the initially reported 272,000 positions. The revised figures never make the headlines as they want those initial reports to paint the US economy in the best light.

ADP Private Sector Jobs

In April, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said he was unimpressed by the “strong” jobs report, and it certainly was not enough for the central bank even to consider dropping rates. There is a reason that the central bank does not believe the “strong jobs reports” are an indication of a strengthening economy. Unemployment, at best, is at 4.1% right now – the highest since November 2021.

Expanding the public sector is a detriment to the US economy. These jobs produce nothing and cost the taxpayers a hefty sum. Trouble consistently brews when governments grow disproportionately. The Roman Empire, the longest-standing empire in history, vanished as a direct result of an oversized public sector that bankrupted Rome. The private sector produces economic growth, while government is a public servant consuming the wealth generated by others.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Reversed Themselves – Now Approve Widespread Use of Mail-In Ballot Collection Drop Boxes

Once you see the strings on the marionettes you can never watch the performance and not see them.

Last weekend James Clyburn visited 10 key ballot counting precincts in Wisconsin {link}.  On Friday George Stephanopoulos interviewed Joe Biden from Wisconsin {link}. Today, the media is full of the story about how the Wisconsin Supreme Court has reversed its own prior ruling and will now expand the use of ballot collection boxes.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled Friday that officials can place ballot drop boxes around their communities in this fall’s elections, overturning its own ruling two years ago limiting their use in the presidential swing state.

The court limited the use of drop boxes in July 2022, ruling then that they could be placed only in local election clerks’ offices and no one other than the voter could return a ballot in person.

Conservatives controlled the court at that time, but Janet Protasiewicz’s election victory in April 2023 flipped the court to liberal control. Seeing an opening, Priorities USA, a progressive voter mobilization group, asked the court in February to revisit the decision.

At least 29 other states allow for absentee ballot drop boxes, according to the U.S. Vote Foundation, and expanded use in Wisconsin could have major implications in the presidential race.

Wisconsin again figures to be a crucial swing state after President Joe Biden barely won it in 2020 and Donald Trump narrowly took it in 2016. Democrats believe that making it easier to vote absentee will boost turnout for their side. (more)

In 2017 California hired former Attorney General Eric Holder to oversee the Secretary of State office creating a new voter registration link to the Dept of Motor Vehicles.

In the midterm election of 2018, the first California widespread mail-in ballot program was used.  California Republicans won races on election day, then lost massive seats in the days and weeks that followed.

CALIFORNIA – […] Five California counties—Madera, Napa, Nevada, Sacramento, and San Mateo—implemented a new model of conducting elections for the first time in 2018. In these counties, every registered voter was mailed a ballot, and voters had the option of returning their ballot by mail, at a ballot drop box, or any vote center open in their county.

All five counties exceeded the statewide turnout rate of 64.5%.  All five counties saw voter turnout that was higher than the county average during statewide gubernatorial general elections during the previous 20 years.  (FULL DATA)

The British & EU Elections – A Prelude to US?

COMMENT: Marty, I am really impressed how Socrates even had a Double Directional Change in the British pound for election day. What it shows for the US elections seems to be a critical turning point. This is the most interesting system ever created.

All the best

JK

REPLY: There is no question that the sweeping political upset in the EU and now in Britain is a prelude to the 2024 US election. This is getting to the point that the real trend is just to throw whoever is in power out. Here, the Conservatives have lost a string of senior core MPs who have been in power in the Tory Party. This has been a historic wipeout and justly deserved. Eight Cabinet ministers have now lost their seats in the general election, beating the previous record of seven Cabinet ministerial defeats in 1997. However, when we look closely at Labour’s victory, we see it was not resounding by far. Labour’s win was not as spectacular as the headlines appear. The vote breakdown made clear that the election was really a rejection and anger towards the Conservatives rather than embracing the policies offered by Labour. That is why you saw Labour simply calling for “change” rather than a specific promise.

1 Politics

Diving deeper, we see that Keir Starmer’s Labour Party only increased its vote share by a few percentage points from its dismal 2019 performance. From this perspective, it was not a landslide. Even though it may end up with almost twice as many seats, there are cracks in the foundation of Labour’s platform. Starmer won a smaller vote share than his predecessor, Jeremy Corbyn, did in 2017, an election that Labour had previously lost, illustrating that this was not the landslide the LEFT seeks to create. Indeed, Labour was aided by Nigel Farage’s Reform Party, which won seat after seat against the Conservatives. This illustrated that the frustration in Britain was far more serious than most wanted to admit. The Conservatives have done nothing but try to trash Nigel at every chance they get.

Reuters Image

They created a viral campaign against Nigel, clipping a comment he made saying: “I was asked the other day what I was going to do for the Black community? Do you know what I said? ‘Nothing, absolutely nothing. I couldn’t give a damn…’” They did everything to slander Nigel and to misrepresent what he said to the people. The full quote was:

“I was asked the other day what I was going to do for the Black community? Do you know what I said?

“‘Nothing, absolutely nothing.’ I couldn’t give a damn whether you’re black or white, you’re gay or straight. I really don’t care. You’ll be judged by your character, you’ll be judged by your ability, you’ll be judged by are you a contributor to society or a taker out…”

The problem is that this was not so much a vote for LEFTIST policies as it was to just throw the bums out. Starmer will have to govern with a powerful majority in parliament, but the public coalition he has built will not afford him a long honeymoon period. He will be opposed by both the Conservatives and Farge’s Reform. Starmer’s predecessor Corbyn, who had been expelled by the party, actually won an independent seat in Islington North and will become the face of that opposition from the far-left.

UK Unemployment 7 5 24

Starmer has never enjoyed even remotely the approval ratings that Blair and Boris Johnson had. He lacks the natural charisma of important world leaders. Starmer has promised “a decade of national renewal,” but this will only further undermine Britain’s finances. The computer is showing that unemployment is going to rise, and this aligns with the Economic Confidence Model, which points to a recession into 2028. The problem with Labour, like the Democrats, is that they are never interested in reforming spending; they always insist on taxing the upper class to redistribute to others to keep their power.

Cleveland

As Democratic President, Grover Cleveland was a rare politician who called upon his own party to wake up. The hated “rich” can move their capital and refuse to invest. The working class cannot hoard their labor. This is why the LEFT never learns from the past because they refuse to surrender Marxist theory that has failed every time. This is the decline and fall of the West – it is just our turn since the world fell apart in 1992.  After all, it is 31.4 years later here in 2024. Our computer models for Britain showed that 2024 would be a Double Yearly Directional Change. No worries, there are no British politicians willing to even listen to what our model is saying despite the fact that it has never been wrong on politics and geopolitical changes in trend.

Why 2032 is so Necessary

2024_07_04_09_39_39_Top_Democrats_who_pushed_25th_Amendment_during_Trump_years_silent_on_triggering_

With every day that passes, we are edging closer and closer to 2032, where our Computer is forecasting the collapse of our present form of Republican government, and the light at the end of the tunnel is that we get to hold another Constitutional Convention. This time, we get to correct all the mistakes of our Founding Fathers. ONE major reform must be TERM LIMITS, but another should be abolishing POLITICAL PARTIES. You may think you are voting for whatever that person promises. They then go to Washington and are told, that was great; now, here is what you will vote for. The policies are set behind closed doors, and if you look at the voting, you will notice that it typically goes down party lines. That alone proves that the form of government we live in is just so corrupt that it is not worth saving.

2024_07_04_09_46_32_House_Approves_Resolution_Urging_Pence_To_Invoke_25th_Amendment_House_Impeachm

Here is a classic example. The Democrats passed a 25th Amendment motion to get rid of Trump when he was certainly not mentally impaired. They have hated his agenda and have impeached him twice, and now are criminally charging him for anything they can conjure up. This is the disgusting evil of policies, and this is the very cancer that demonstrates our present form of government will NEVER survive. Now, the Republicans have sought to invoke Section 4 of the  25th Amendment against Trump when the majority of people recognize he is not fit to be president.

T Shirt Afraid of Government
Party Politics

The fact that no Democrats would dare to invoke the 25th Amendment against Biden demonstrates that the Constitution, the rule of law, and the safety of our nation are NEVER considered when it would impact their party for the election.  Here we have HR 1336 Resolution to invoke the 25th Amendment against Biden. Every Democrat that refuses to endorse this is showing you that they will NEVER defend the country or honor what they promise because they vote only as told by their Party against the people they are supposed to represent.

Section 4.

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

H. RES. 1336

Calling on Vice President Kamala D. Harris to convene and mobilize the principal officers of the executive departments of the Cabinet to activate section 4 of the 25th Amendment to declare President Joseph R. Biden incapable of executing the duties of his office and to immediately exercise powers as Acting President.

It’s Just Time – Political Revolution

Its Just Time

Back in 2008, I named a report after what Margaret Thatcher had told me about politics. I began that report by writing:

Time is but a dimension that we divide up to mark its passing. Western thought, unfortunately, is linear, not dynamic. This has been the curse of Western understanding and knowledge. Time is but a cycle – a circle. Asians are raised with the idea of cycles leading to a more dynamic thinking process. Some see and feel cycles, and some see it as necessary and instinctively understand them. Lady Margaret Thatcher once commented to me that the Conservatives would lose the elections in Great Britain when John Major was running, she said – “It’s just time.

Lady Thatcher came and spoke at our conference on cycles. She said.

Thatcher 1997

Use Up/Down Arrow keys to increase or decrease volume.

Today’s British election is underway, and we will see a sweep where Labour will replace Conservatives, who have acknowledged that Labour appears headed for victory and urged voters not to hand the party a “supermajority.” Britain’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak insisted “the outcome of this election is not a foregone conclusion.” However, in a message to voters on Wednesday, Sunak said that “if the polls are to be believed, the country could wake up tomorrow to a Labour supermajority ready to wield their unchecked power.” He urged voters to back the Conservatives to limit Labour’s power. The Conservatives have been more concerned about appeasing Anthony Blinken and the American quest to conquer Russia. To hell with the economy or the people. Britain was fully on board with the Globalists, which was precisely OPPOSITE of all the positions to retain independence from Europe, which were the core policies of Lady Thatcher.

I have done some interviews in Britain where the host reluctantly put me on the air because of my connection with Lady Thatcher and their obstinacy about even trying to understand her policies. Many regard her as the most hated Prime Minister, all because they were used to handouts. They claim that she destroyed Britain’s manufacturing industry, and her policies led to mass unemployment. That was absurd, for the world was engulfed in the crisis at the time – not just Britain.

I advised companies that wanted to get into the EU and needed skilled labor to place them in Britain, while I placed those that needed the best tax deals, like airlines, in Ireland. Thatcher had heard that there was this guy rearranging companies and wanted to meet me. She asked me why I placed industries in Britain compared to other European countries. I explained that the cost per employee in other regulations was 40% less in Britain compared to Germany at the time.

Others argued that she presided over 15% interest rates. Again, that was not unique to Britain; it was a global trend. Most of the complaints about Thatcher were based on their ignorance of global trends. No single country can reverse a worldwide recession, no matter who the politician might be. The very best you can do is minimize the volatility and depth of the decline.

I did feel the public would never understand her reasoning regarding the poll tax. She felt that if people had skin in the game, this would limit government waste. But the people, I said, are like dogs. They are satisfied with the scraps from your table, not about jumping on your table and eating the whole meal. Others complain that she sowed the seeds of NHS Privatisation. I think Russia proved, as did ancient Byzantium, that the government is INCAPABLE of running anything efficiently. Those who hated Thatcher seemed to want to be taken care of and had no interest in their country.

Thatcher Federal Europe

What the self-centered haters of Thatcher refuse to understand, no less acknowledge, is that she SAVED Britain. I remember she said if she walked across the Thames River, they would say it was because she did not know how to swim. The coup staged against her by John Major and others was to take Britain into the fantasy land of the Euro. Major took Britain into the ERM and overvalued the pound, which led Soros to make his fortune thanks to John Major and others.

She knew that Tony Blair would win long before there were polls. When I asked why, she told me, “It’s Just Time.” She understood cycles better than any Western politician I have ever met. So while the ignorant still hate Margaret Thatcher, they will now get to see what voting for self-interest will do with promises of more money.

Economy Politics

The one thing I have learned from our computer is that if you turn the economy around with these Economic Confidence Model turning points, you will get political change. What is sweeping the world is that 60% of it is going to an election, and WHOEVER is in power is just being thrown out. The Globalists have been trying to take over everything, creating their dream of a one-world government headed by the United Nations with the elimination of our right to vote on anything. Their dream is a global dictatorship. Democracy must end as part of their agenda. It is refreshing to see Macron in trouble, as is Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. World leaders like Trudeau in Canada, Biden in the USA, and Ursula in the EU have a common goal – war against Russia at all costs and the creation of this one-world government bringing Democracy to an end. The people are responding regardless if they call themselves conservative, liberal, labour, or communist. Whoever is in power is taking the brunt of this global political shift.

The Reason Biden Was Permitted to Debate Trump

Posted originally on Jul 4, 2024 By Martin Armstrong

Biden Secon Term

The first presidential debate of the year was a humiliating moment for our nation. Does one even need to bother discussing the questions mentioned when the public was in utter shock at the current president’s physical and mental state?

Joe Biden was sent to the podium as the sacrificial lamb of the DNC. His handlers knew his condition, and no amount of preparation, layup questions, or alterations from the liberal media could have improved his performance. Even Donald Trump seemed concerned that Joe Biden would keel over at any moment. There is a reason the Democrats agreed to this debate — they are setting up the stage for a candidate swap.

Biden was struggling to speak coherently and mumbled through most of his answers. As directed, he began EVERY answer by saying his candidate was a liar and anything Trump said was malarky. The world now knows that the emperor has no clothes. Public officials have long known Biden’s condition as we see a preview of it in the media, with Biden wandering on stage or struggling to communicate with other world leaders. The lie that Joe Biden is of good health has been exposed.

Trump.JoeDebate

The lamb has been sacrificed. The media would be cherry-picking words to praise Joe Biden, but they are in panic mode. Every channel is discussing Biden’s health, with some saying he simply had a cold. If a military member, pilot, doctor, or anyone in a position of power had a cold, would you expect them to act robotically and lifelessly? This man has arguably the most powerful job in the world, and tens of thousands of people believe it is OK for someone in his condition to have the nuclear codes. That 8% approval rating likely went down to next to nothing.

Trump strategically kept a cool head during the debate. He has long been accused of bullying Uncle Joe, as the media likes to call him, but Biden’s current state is too pathetic to mock. Every media consultant and journalist, even those on the furthest end of the spectrum, is taking to the airways today to say that there is still time before the convention to swap in another candidate.

Trump vs Hillary 2024

Joe Biden is physically and mentally unfit to run the country – period. No one wants a Harris presidency. The Democrats will swap out Joe for someone whom the public is already familiar with and knows. They began the debate by discussing their favorite topic to sway one-issue voters of abortion. A female candidate with experience who the public already knows will be there solution. Hillary Clinton will have her day once again to face off against Donald Trump. She is practically the face of the establishment. People may not find Clinton relatable but those who dislike Trump will vote for her.

Trump skirted around the question of whether he would accept the election results before saying he would only accept the results if the election were fair. What measures are in place to ensure that the next election is fair? The host did not bother to ask Biden whether the Democrats would accept the results of the election, as they have been able to cry “interference” without rebuke. Neither side is going to accept the results this November. Socrates indicates a Trump win if all is fairly counted. I do not see how the establishment could permit that to occur.
