Bureaucracy & the Collapse of Empires, Nation, City-States & Corporations

COMMENT: Sir,

Your blog about the “Deep State” being nothing more than the bureaucracy made me laugh. If memory serves, didn’t some of the Chinese dynasties implode because of bureaucracies? Or am I being nearsighted and all governments typically implode because of bureaucracies? On a fractal level, don’t all corporations implode because of their bureaucracies over time?

Working in the medical field, the rank and file have a very high distaste for the epitome of the bureaucrats, the hospital administrators. One of the pitfalls of the bureaucracy is there is NO feedback loop. They make the rules but do not have to live them. I found that bitching doesn’t make them change their rules but a strategically timed call at 2-3 am to discuss the shortcomings of their boneheaded decisions typically does.

So how do we, joe public, call the government bureaucrats at 2 am in the morning? Voting for Britexit? Trump? Will they listen?

Keep up the good work and hope to finally meet you in Nov.

DK

Rules of Bureaucracies
1) The first thing you do is assign blame. Do not fix the problem, but make sure that blame is assigned. Remember if you fix the problem, your job is at risk.
2) Assign your work to someone else
3) Vote/assign yourself salary raises and as many perks as you can get.
Perhaps you and the readership of your blog can finish out the list.

REPLY: Corporations also fail when the board replaces the creators, abandon imagination, and proceed to comply with all the rules so they are run by the lawyers and accountants. I have found it very frustrating getting called in when they have a crisis that they create by mismanagement. The profit margins have to expand to cover the costs of waste by mismanagement. The Deep State is indeed the bureaucracy. Just look at Brussels. They are waging a fight against anything that would undermine the euro, not to further the living standards or expand the economy of Europe. It has now turned all around and the primary goal is to preserve the EU bureaucracy. They now are defending their jobs. People think there is some global conspiracy. These people cannot even run their own state no less agree to hand power to yet some other mythical super group lurking behind the curtain.

I have been called in to probably more central banks than anyone. The ONLY reason I am called in is because they UNDERSTAND we are INDEPENDENT and our computer is not biased. They want real live forecasts, not politically correct forecasts they pay to publish as propaganda. If they were 100% in absolute command, they would NEVER call us in to begin with

Debrief on Trump-Putin Presser – There are High Crimes to Be Hidden, and Trillions Still at Stake…

Last Friday, in a carefully timed construct, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein delivered a purely political statement to the media under the auspices of indictments against 13 Russians. Make no mistake, the entire construct of Mueller’s team project; and the enabling of Rod Rosenstein; was intended to do what it has been doing for over a year, diminish, disrupt and eventually stop President Trump.

President Trump remains an existential threat to the business interests within the apparatus of professional politics. Additionally, candidate Trump defeated the professional political class despite the stunningly Machiavellian surveillance schemes of the deep administrative state which supports the corrupt enterprise within it.

The Friday objective of team Mueller/Rosenstein, which includes hundreds of career left-wing DC bureaucrats/officials behind them, was to paint President Trump into a corner ahead of his meeting with Russian President Putin. The media wing of the intransigent state would then use the ridiculous indictment to frame the preferred narrative and remain on offense against President Trump.

Here is where we watch the echo-chamber media wash, rinse and repeat the same ‘Gruberism‘ mistake. The architects of the administrative state are counting on being able to manipulate the “stupidity of the American voter“, again.  What everyone forgets about that time in 2010, is that 70% of the American voters knew exactly what the Gruber schemes were.  Hence in November of 2010 the largest political reversal of elected DC officials took place.  The usurpers were “shellacked“. Bigly.

Things are never as they appear projected by the echo-chamber media apparatus.

With that in mind, just like November 2010, the November 2016 election proved the U.S. electorate are very much awake and aware of what has been transpiring within the administrative state for several years. Again, bigly.  Americans are born with liberty in their DNA, a conscious orientation to reality, and a very healthy skepticism toward big, institutional and corrupt government.

Despite our militant cynicism we are continually underestimated and it becomes rather silly to watch Toto Trump pull back the curtain as those like Mueller and Rosenstein shout even louder into their microphone.  The majority of Americans, far more than the professional political class will accept, clearly see the constructs of fraud and deceit as they transpire.  Despite the best efforts of the institutional state, and their media narrative engineers, the majority position is growing, not shrinking.

The underlying premise behind the current voices gasping as the Trump-Putin press conference, is the Mueller/Rosenstein anti-Trump/pro-administrative state narrative du-jour.  There is no Wizard of Oz (Russian Collusion/Conspiracy), therefore the pretext for the Trump-Putin inquisition is silly.  Remove the pretext, pull back that curtain, and the narrative collapses upon itself because it was built entirely around a fraudulent premise.

Believe me, the overwhelming majority of the American electorate see this absurdity.  Those who are at risk; those who participated in the 2015/2016 usurping activity; want/need to deny the majority exist. They are currently in the process of failing:

[…] Make no mistake: This is nakedly politicized law enforcement. There is absolutely no chance any of the Russian officials charged will ever see the inside of an American courtroom. The indictment is a strictly political document by which the special counsel seeks to justify the existence of his superfluous investigation.

[…] Rosenstein made another telling remark at his big press conference. The Justice Department, he explained, will now “transition responsibility for this case to our Department’s National Security Division while we await the apprehension of the defendants.”

Now, stop giggling over that last part — the bit where we hold our breath until Russian dictator Vladimir Putin extradites his spies into the FBI’s waiting arms. I’m talking about the first part: Mueller’s case, the definitive case about what Russia did to interfere in the 2016 election, is no longer Mueller’s case. It is being “transitioned” — i.e., buried — in the Justice Department unit that deals with counterintelligence matters that do not result in public trials.

[…] Lacking the requisite basis to conduct a criminal investigation, the Justice Department used its counterintelligence mission as a pretext for appointing a special counsel. This was grossly improper: (1) Counterintelligence work, which is geared at thwarting the operations of hostile foreign powers, is not the prosecutor work of building criminal cases; (2) not surprisingly, then, there is no authority in the regulations to assign a special counsel to a counterintelligence investigation; and (3) because counterintelligence authorities do not afford Americans the due-process protections required in criminal investigations, the Justice Department is not permitted to use counterintelligence as a pretext for conducting what is actually an effort to build a criminal prosecution.

Now Mueller has taken the next logical wayward step: He has woven an indictment that can never be tried out of counterintelligence work against foreign governments that is not supposed to be the subject of criminal prosecution — i.e., the subject of public courtroom testing under due-process rules.

This is not the way counterintelligence is supposed to work. And the Justice Department knows it. That is why Mueller’s indictment will now be the property of DOJ’s National Security Division, the home of other non-prosecutable foreign counterintelligence work that is never intended to see the light of day in a public courtroom.  (read more)

Now We Have Fake Journalists As Well

COMMENT: This character who pretended to be a journalist was only an op-ed contributor. It is amazing how so many journalists are using this against Trump. They truly are distorting this event and are fake news.

PP

REPLY: Yes it is really a sad day. I have written OP-ED pieces for the Wall Street Journal. That does NOT make me a journalist for the Wall Street Journal. You would think the press would be upset with someone getting access pretending to be a journalist. This will probably lead to more security that the press will have to submit to. Just totally stunning that so many in the media do not report the truth. Everything has to be slanted. So now we have fake news and fake journalists. That matches the fake politicians who pretend to actually care about the people more than their own pockets and perks.

Some have used the opportunity writing: “Putin … has cracked down on the media in Russia. A number of journalists who have written pieces critical of the Kremlin have been jailed, attacked or killed in the country.” They seem to just want to pretend they are the good guys and have a right to influence people to push their own political agenda. Using this incident with a guy pretending to be a journalist to support themselves is pathetic. Just report the facts without the political bias – that’s the job of a journalist. Ever since the FCC repealed the Fairness Doctrine, we have biased news on both sides which has become so bad it is indeed fake and that becomes propaganda. Trump should direct the FCC to restore the Fairness Doctrine and force the media to be unbiased and always present both sides.

President Trump Face-The-Nation Interview…

In an interview with CBS News’ Jeff Glor, President Trump made several ‘splodey heads when he was asked: who are our foes?   President Trump responded to the question by sharing the names of key nations who take advantage of the U.S.

The usual suspects, the fabian socialists in media, go bananas when President Trump points out the European Union also takes advantage of the U.S.

Sunday Talks: John Ratcliffe Discusses Strzok and Page Testimony…

Representative John Ratcliffe appears on Sunday Morning with Maria Bartiromo to discuss the Thursday testimony of FBI Agent Peter Strzok and the Friday testimony of DOJ/FBI Attorney Lisa Page (she is also returning Monday).

Interestingly, Rep Ratcliffe notes that he and Trey Gowdy questioned Lisa Page for two of the five hours during her Friday deposition.

“Have the lambs stopped screaming, Clarice?”

Sunday Talks: Maria Bartiromo Interviews Chairman Devin Nunes…

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) Chairman Devin Nunes appears on Sunday Morning with Maria Bartiromo to discuss ongoing aspects of ‘Spygate’, ‘FISAgate’, and the Mueller maneuvers to protect the DOJ and FBI institutions.

Bartiromo asks Nunes if he thinks Mueller will ever wrap-up; Nunes responds no.  CTH agrees.   The Mueller investigation could likely continue for at least four years, perhaps eight years; because only while the political investigation exists can all of the corrupt political entities hide behind it.

As soon as Mueller finishes, all of the corrupt DOJ, FBI, IC and Obama administration officials lose their ability to hide behind ‘an ongoing investigation‘.  WATCH:

.

There are three basic purposes for the Mueller Special Counsel probe:

  • To collect and distribute to media, surveillance information on the Trump administration, made available by the fraudulently obtained Title-1 FISA warrant(s).
  • To exploit the FISA authorized surveillance to target the Trump administration, or any specific official therein; as a tool to block any policy adverse to Team Mueller’s political interests; and/or remove any specific official deemed a risk to the ongoing progressive efforts.  Hopeful goal, impeach President Trump.
  • To protect the activity of the corrupt Obama and Clinton teams, and all officials therein, in 2015 and 2016.  ie. hide the 2015/2016 use of FBI/NSA database metadata exploitation for political opposition research; and hide the 2016/2017 weaponization therein (‘the insurance policy’).

Alan Dershowitz Discusses Peter Strzok Testimony…

Alan Dershowitz and Maria Bartiromo discuss the testimony of FBI Agent Peter Strzok.

Dershowitz knows what happened. He can’t admit it openly; but he knows exactly what happened.

FISA Abuse: It is the Risk, the Reality, and the Reason…

The prior use of FBI and NSA networks for metadata exploitation and political surveillance is what underlines all of the current activity taking place within the current political battle.  Peel all of the layers of investigative schemes, intelligence deception, false and distracting media narratives -including Mueller- and what lies beneath it all is the weaponized use of database-collected material for political surveillance and exploitation.

It really is that simple.

Seriously.  Every motive and every action and reaction is directly connected to the need to hide what was taking place in 2015 and 2016 between officials within the DOJ, FBI and U.S. intelligence community, and outside government “contractors” (Fusion GPS, Crowdstrike etc.) who were political operatives.   Everything boils down to the common denominator of the abuse of the intelligence apparatus for political power.

There are a few intrepid researchers who have a solid understanding of the scheme, and more importantly all of the activity that has taken place in the FBI and DOJ-NSD effort to hide that scheme.  Over at Marketswork: Jeff has a terrific timeline where he takes the latest Mueller Russian indictment claims, and overlays the FISA matrix.  GO READ IT.

When you look at the timeline picture, and overlay the unlawful and illegal FISA-702(16)(17) users the picture is so clear it becomes silly to argue.  The DOJ indicting 12 Russians based on forensic computer data evidence provided to the connected Mueller team by FBI contractor Crowdstrike takes on new levels of ass-covering.  The motives are clear as day.

Crowdstrike was/is an FBI contractor.  Crowdstrike, along with Fusion FPS, likely participated in the exploitation of the FISA database that NSA Director Mike Rogers shut down.  Crowdstrike, operators and agents within the organization, could have even accessed the FBI/NSA database from servers connected to the DCCC, DNC and/or Clinton campaign.  Looking at the timeline it certainly needs to be explored…. but who would do the investigation?

Consider this February 2017 article against the probability of Crowdstrike, as a 2015/2016 FBI contractor, having entry access to the FISA database:

WASHINGTON — The FBI did not examine the servers of the Democratic National Committee before issuing a report attributing the sweeping cyberintrusion to Russia-backed hackers, BuzzFeed News has learned.

Six months after the FBI first said it was investigating the hack of the Democratic National Committee’s computer network, the bureau has still not requested access to the hacked servers, a DNC spokesman said. No US government entity has run an independent forensic analysis on the system, one US intelligence official told BuzzFeed News.

“The DNC had several meetings with representatives of the FBI’s Cyber Division and its Washington (DC) Field Office, the Department of Justice’s National Security Division, and U.S. Attorney’s Offices, and it responded to a variety of requests for cooperation, but the FBI never requested access to the DNC’s computer servers,” Eric Walker, the DNC’s deputy communications director, told BuzzFeed News in an email.

The FBI has instead relied on computer forensics from a third-party tech security company, CrowdStrike, which first determined in May of last year that the DNC’s servers had been infiltrated by Russia-linked hackers, the U.S. intelligence official told BuzzFeed News.

“CrowdStrike is pretty good. There’s no reason to believe that anything that they have concluded is not accurate,” the intelligence official said, adding they were confident Russia was behind the widespread hacks.

The FBI declined to comment.  (read more)

And the DOJ (Rosenstein/Mueller) is asserting an indictment based on forensic analysis from the same entities who were FBI contractors during “spygate”.?  C’mon, ridiculous.

The motives here are beyond obvious:

NSA examined all queries using identifiers for “U.S. persons targeted using the [Redacted] tool in [Redacted] from November 1, 2015 to May 1, 2016.

“NSA estimates that approximately eighty-five percent of those queries, representing [Redacted] queries conducted by approximately [Redacted] targeted offices, were not compliant with the applicable minimization procedures.”

A non-compliance rate of 85% raises substantial questions about the propriety of using [Redacted] to query FISA data. While the government reports that it is unable to provide a reliable estimate of the number of non-compliant queries since 2012, there is no apparent reason to believe the November 2015-April 2016 period coincided with an unusually high error rate.   (Page 82)

(Page 85)

Via Marketswork:

Crowdstrike:

  • Dimitry Alperovich – Co-Founder and CTO. Crowdstrike “investigated” the hacking of the DNC’s servers. The FBI was refused access to independently examine the DNC servers. Former NSA experts later claim it wasn’t a hack, but a leak by someone with access to the DNC’s system. Alperovich is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council. Former McAfee Executive.
  • George Kurtz – Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Former McAfee Executive.
  • Steven Chabinsky – Former General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer (9/12-4/16). Appointed by Obama to the Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity on April 18, 2016 – two months before Crowdstrike report. Former Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI’s Cyber Division and FBI’s top cyber lawyer during Mueller’s tenure as FBI Director. Now a Partner at White & Case – a D.C. law firm.
  • Shawn HenryCSO and President of Crowdstrike Services since April 2012. Previously the FBI’s Executive Assistant Director of the Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch – appointed by FBI Director Mueller.
  • Robert Johnston – Principal Consultant & Incident Response Expert. Lead investigator on the DNC server investigation. Previously, Marine Corps captain in U.S. Cyber Command. Team Lead of 81 National Cyber Protection Team. Left Crowdstrike in August 2016 and co-founded cybersecurity firm Adlumin. The FBI has never spoken with Johnston.
  • Google invested $100 million in Crowdstrike in July 2015.

The timing between Admiral Rogers’ discovery of outside contractors and the sudden problems with the DNC Servers appears far too coincidental.

Lisa Page Testimony Highlights Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein Lied To Chairman Devin Nunes…

On January 3rd, 2018, House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes and DOJ Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein entered an agreement for witness testimony.   One of those witnesses was FBI Attorney Lisa Page, Andrew McCabe’s former special counsel.

WASHINGTON – January 4th – House investigators will get access this week to “all remaining investigative documents” – in unredacted form – that they had sought as part of their Russia inquiry, under a deal between Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., according to a letter obtained by Fox News.

[…] According to the letter, committee investigators also will get access to eight key witnesses this month including FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page, who exchanged anti-Trump text messages during an affair and previously worked on the special counsel’s Russia probe.  (link)

The conversation was documented in a confirmation letter shared by Devin Nunes back to Rod Rosenstein the following day, January 4th, 2018Except there’s a problem, Lisa Page told congress today that no-one from the DOJ ever contacted her.  That means Rod Rosenstein was lying:
