If Rush Limbaugh’s Thoughts on Holder’s Resignation Turn out to be True, America is in Big Trouble

I agree with WTF and Rush

At least I’m not the only one thinking it.

There have been calls for the ousting of Eric Holder, activist attorney general who operates more like Obama’s personal lawyer, from office for quite some time. His tenure has been plagued with scandal after scandal and Holder’s defiant attitude is not what one would expect from the man who is supposed to represent America and the constitutional best interests of American citizens. As the first sitting Attorney General to be held in contempt of Congress, Holder has obstructed justice and, when he sought to get justice, it was selectively applied depending upon ethnicity.

The announcement of his resignation, which will officially take place as soon as his successor is found, came as a surprise to many. While some rejoiced, others speculated reasons…

1st lawsuit filed over immigration law enforcement

I wonder how many other laws this will apply too?

deacon303's avatarWhiskey Tango Foxtrot

A Mexican woman who claims her five-day detention at a federal immigration office was an illegal arrest filed the first lawsuit challenging enforcement of Arizona’s landmark immigration enforcement law.

Opponents of the 2010 law have already filed lawsuits that questioned the constitutionality of the law’s provisions, but Thursday’s filing by Maria del Rosario Cortes Camacho marks a new type of challenge that alleges constitutional violations in how a police agency enforced the law.

She also accuses the officers of making an illegal arrest by bringing her in handcuffs to a Border Patrol office about 13 miles away where she was detained for…

In examining these lists, I noticed three important differences between the reading content of these two eras:

1. Time Period

One of the striking features of the Edina list is how recent the titles are. Many of the selections were published in the 21st century. In fact, only four of the selections are more than 20 years old.

In comparison, over half of the titles on the first list were at least 20 years old in 1908, with many of them averaging between 50 to 100 years old.

Older is not necessarily better, but the books on the first list suggest that schools of the past were more likely to give their students time-tested, classic literature, rather than books whose popularity may happen to be a passing fad.

2. Thematic Elements

A second striking difference between the two book lists are the themes they explore. The first is full of…
