Is Benioff Cheering the Demise of his Client Base?

Armstrong Economics Blog/Stock Indicies Re-Posted Feb 5, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

It is unfortunate that Salesforce is a Dow stock. Its head, Marc Benioff, is a board member of the World Economic Forum. They have interestingly introduced vaccine monitoring. We have to start scrutinizing every company that has struck any partnership with the World Economic Forum.

Our timing models called for the Directional Change during the last quarter of 2020. That indeed signaled a near-term correction. The critical technical support has held so far during the 1st quarter, which was 211.39, and the stock fell to the 212 level. But looking ahead, we still see July/August this year as critical periods in time but long-term, turning points both in 2022 and 2024 in line with the Economic Confidence Model.

What Benioff has failed to realize is that the entire agenda of the World Economic Forum is to alter capitalism and in the process, he is cheering the demise of his own customers. As unemployment rise, we will see the earning of Salesforce decline. This is where the personal beliefs of the CEO should never be intermixed with the performance of the company. His support for STAKEHOLDER economics of Schwab means he cares more about the Schwab agenda than shareholders. This is not a company you may want to have in your portfolio as political risks will attach to those companies in league with Schwab into 2024.

New York Times Called for “Reality Czar” to Imprison Anyone they Claim is Stating Fake News?

Armstrong Economics Blog/Press Re-Posted Feb 5, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

The New York Times has called on President Biden to create a “Reality Czar” to shut down all dissent, which they immediately label conspiracy theories without any real investigation. In 1924, the New York Times was pushing that we were heading into a new Ice Age. Was that disinformation? CNN has called on cable companies to drop Fox News.

The New York Times cheered Stalin and constantly reported that this was the way to the future. They are supporting once again this move to a Marxist Utopia. The New York Times hid the truth about Stalin. His great economic miracle was achieved by taking all the food from Ukraine to pretend Communism was working in Russia causing over 7 million to starve to death.

I strongly recommend you watch the movie Mr. Jones. This exposes the TRUE STORY of how the New York Times tried to support Communism in the United States back then, with their top journalist, Walter Duranty (1884-1957), who was their main man in Moscow. The New York Times promoted him to be awarded the Pulitzer Prize for reporting on how Communism was Utopia and our future. When Gareth Jones (1905-1935) in March 1933 reported this was all a lie, the truth finally began to appear.

It took the New York Times until 1990 to admit that their reporting covered up the truth about Stalin and the massive starvation in an effort, like Schwab, once again, to sell “equality” as our salvation. The New York Times covered up the more than 7 million people who died of starvation in the Ukraine famine. The New York Times wrote that their reporting on the Russian Revolution constituted “some of the worst reporting to appear in this newspaper.” They never revoked his Pultizer Prize for writing fake news about Stalin.

The Homeland Security and the FBI both said that Russia’s hack of the DNC did not involve altering the vote. In fact, it was his own paper that reported on November 25, 2016: “The Obama administration said on Friday that despite Russian attempts to undermine the presidential election, it has concluded that the results “accurately reflect the will of the American people.” So was four years of stating the Russians put Trump in the White House not misinformation?

PulitzerHearstWarYellowKids
Spaniards_search_women_1898

The constant lies the press has spun about Russia invading the US elections in 2016 and manipulations seem intent upon creating war, exactly as took place with the Spanish American War. We have returned to yellow journalism, which is based upon sensationalism and crude exaggeration. Pulitzer and Hearst went head to head. I remember grade school history class blaming the Spanish American War on fake news. There is one such story that male Spanish officials were strip-searching American woman tourists in Cuba looking for claimed messages from rebels. This was the front page of Hearst’s newspaper showing what has become known as “yellow journalism” whereby the illustration was by Frederic Remington published in the New York Journal, February 12th, 1897.

Hearst’s New York Journal was called out for this fake news by its rival Joseph Pulitzer’s, New York World,  reporting that this story was erroneous and its graphically illustrated strip-search of a woman aboard U.S. passenger steamer was fake. The Journal article was written by Richard Harding Davis, who reported that Spanish authorities boarded the U.S. steamer, the Olivette, as it prepared to leave Havana and searched several passengers for contraband. Among the passengers was a young Cuban woman named Clemencia Arango, whose brother was a leader in the insurgency against Spanish rule. The Journal’s article was ambiguous, implying the woman was strip-searched by men, which was created by the accompanying illustration of Frederic Remington.

The New York World attacked the Journal’s fake news, quoting Arango as denying that men had strip-searched her. That task, she said, had fallen to a matron, or “inspectress.” The Journalist Davis, in a letter to the World, then blamed Frederic Remington for having drawn “an imaginary picture” and insisted his dispatch had not reported that men had conducted the search.

Nevertheless, this story of the strip-search discredited the Journal as being unreliable and prone to publishing “fakes” and other thinly documented reports. Welcome to the present where the New York Times and Washington Post seem to be carrying on in the same unreliable manner as well as ABC, CBS, NBC, and of course – CNN.

Fake news is not limited to the United States. The press has joined the governments 100% around the world.  Journalism is dead. It is now all about just indoctrination. The very foundation of democracy is to encourage a debate. But now, they just label the opposition as a conspiracy and condemn them. Since the New York Times supported Stalin and that whatever he did was for the greater good (see: film “Mr. Jones”), we should expect mainstream media to advocate terms of imprisonment for anyone who disagrees with their political views or objectives. This is shredding the Constitution and eliminating everything America once stood for. The press is finished.

Tucker Carlson Reveals Bank of America Notifying Feds of Customer Purchase History to Use Targeting Capitol Hill Protestors

It shouldn’t come as a surprise, yet it does.  According to a segment aired tonight on Tucker Carlson television show, Bank of America sent customer purchasing history to federal agencies to assist in their investigation of persons who attended the January 6th protest in Washington DC.  WATCH THIS:

Again, demonstrating the ramifications from a lack of privacy protection, the assembly of an enemies list has been part of the overall investigation.  Gizmodo outlined how the phone numbers of Parler users were tracked using GPS and also used by investigators [SEE HERE] However, in contrast to the reality of the situation, the owners of Parler still claim no user data was ever collected.

According to Tucker Carlson’s reporting one Bank of America was customer was targeted, interrogated and released after nothing was discovered.  However, this type of exploitation should serve as a warning to Americans…. There is a big brother, and that system can/will be weaponized by government if/when an ideological administration is in power.

President Trump Responds to Screen Actors Guild Ridiculous Investigation

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on February 4, 2021 by Sundance

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) had reportedly opened an investigation of Donald Trump by referring the January 6th DC protest/riot to the union’s disciplinary committee.  A rather ironic and ideologically driven effort to further Alinsky the former President.

When you think about the level of institutional pedophilia in the Hollywood circle, it is rather ridiculous they would take exception to a political speech.  Then again, this is Hollywood at its most hypocritical and ideological.  President Trump responds:

Simon and Schuster Give Hunter Biden Book Deal After Cancelling Senator Josh Hawley Book Deal

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on February 4, 2021 by Sundance

An interesting compare-&-contrast arises amid reports out today of Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, getting a book deal to publish his memoir “Beautiful Things”.

The controversial life of Hunter Biden includes abusive relationships, sex scandals, drug use and retaining a position of affluence by trading on his father’s position in government.  Everything surrounding Hunter Biden is not only sketchy, it is the life of a very troubled, manipulative, opportunistic and creepy person… e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.

(Via AP) […] The book is called “Beautiful Things” and will center on the younger Biden’s well publicized struggles with substance abuse, according to Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Acquired in the fall of 2019, “Beautiful Things” was kept under wraps even as Biden’s business dealings became a fixation of then-President Donald Trump and others during the election and his finances a matter of investigation by the Justice Department.  (read more)

As many people are aware, book deals are a way for politicians and their allies to launder payments for influence either by the publisher or by those who purchase bulk quantities in order to direct funds without legal restrictions to politicians and their family members.

Additionally….

The same publisher, Simon and Schuster, recently made another decision regarding a politician:

JANUARY 7, 2021 – The publisher Simon & Schuster announced Thursday that is cancelling plans to publish Sen. Josh Hawley’s (R-Mo.) book, “The Tyranny of Big Tech,” because of the storming of the U.S. Capitol by a pro-Trump mob, for which some Republicans have blamed Hawley.

“After witnessing the disturbing, deadly insurrection that took place on Wednesday in Washington, DC, Simon & Schuster has decided to cancel the publication of Sen. Josh Hawley’s forthcoming book,” Simon & Schuster announced in a statement. (READ MORE)

Sanctions Never Work

Amstrong Economics Blog/Regulation Re-Posted Feb 4, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

A number of people have asked for my view on putting on sanctions of Myanmar. There have been sanctions for almost 50 years. They never work, similar to the Prohibition ban in the United States. That is what made the Mafia. They became rich with that ban. Sanctions do the same. The smugglers get rich and the poor get poorer. You cannot point to a single incident where sanctions have EVER worked against Russia or Iran or during the Cold War period. Those are far more destructive and drive parties often into the hands of your opposition.

Parler CEO John Matze Says He Was Fired by Mercer and Bongino Wing of Company

Posted originally on the Conservative tree house on February 3, 2021 by Sundance

According to Fox Business Parler CEO John Matze has been removed by the small group of owners of Parler.  Rebekah Mercer (financial aspects) and Dan Bongino (public face) are pushing back against the reasoning that Matze is sharing with the public.

At the 30,000 ft level the outline of the problems are clear.  Both elements within the ownership group have issues.

It was not surprising to see the trouble they encountered with re-platforming the social media network.

First, here’s the report:

EXCLUSIVE – Parler has terminated CEO John Matze, according to a memo Matze sent to staffers that has been obtained by Fox News.

“On January 29, 2021, the Parler board controlled by Rebekah Mercer decided to immediately terminate my position as CEO of Parler. I did not participate in this decision,” Matze wrote. “I understand that those who now control the company have made some communications to employees and other third parties that have unfortunately created confusion and prompted me to make this public statement.”

Matze wrote that over the past few months he has been met with “constant resistance” to his original vision for the social media platform following Amazon Web Services’ decision to shut Parler down for failure to moderate “egregious content” related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

“Over the past few months, I’ve met constant resistance to my product vision, my strong belief in free speech and my view of how the Parler site should be managed. For example, I advocated for more product stability and what I believe is a more effective approach to content moderation,” Matze wrote.

Parler did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“I have worked endless hours and fought constant battles to get the Parler site running but at this point, the future of Parler is no longer in my hands,” he continued. “I want to thank the Parler employees, the people on Parler and Parler supporters for their tireless work and devotion to the company. They are an amazing group of diverse, hardworking and talented individuals and I have the utmost respect for them. Many of them have become my second family.”  (read more)

First, Matze should have been fired -and the ownership group eviscerated- for allowing the vulnerability of their host server system to exist on Amazon.  That was perhaps the stupidest decision of a “conservative” platform ever.

Second, it seems apparent from Matze statements he wanted a heavily moderated and highly controlled moderation system in the platform.   Inevitably that can be problematic because humans have to make the decisions on where the line is… it is not easy to support free speech while knowing that some speech can lead to your removal for extremist content.  Moderation is a key component, but a balance is needed… the location of the balance bubble seemed to be the issue.

Third, Dan Bongino takes exception to the way Matze frames his support for free speech.

Bottom line is…. from my perspective… the front end of Parler was not the priority.  If it was, the decision to make Amazon the server host would never have been made.  Instead it was the backside operation, the user data, that held the value from the Mercer perspective.

That outlook makes the most sense.

As they did with Breitbart, the Mercers were in the business of assembling the identities of users that could be leveraged as a commodity for engaged political influence.  This is what the Mercers did with the 18 month Breitbart poll of 2016 GOP republican candidates.  They built a file of site users for their candidate, Ted Cruz, to use.

It looks to me like the emphasis on Parler 2020 was the same as the emphasis in the Breitbart purchase in 2014.  User data providing contact information of conservative minded Americans was the priority; that’s why the ridiculously obvious front-end vulnerability was permitted… it simply was less important than the backside value of the data.

One thing CTH is 100% committed to is to never compromise user privacy for any data exploit; even if that means forgoing bells and whistles that people want.  User privacy is the #1 priority…. When you start there, you are forced, by your mission statement, to focus on front-end security and stability.  Every decision related to user privacy is what makes a website anti-fragile because it eliminates the intrusion of Big Tech.

Parler joined with Big Tech and launched with Big Tech… and they suffered the consequences of not having emphasis on the front-end of their creation where stewardship on behalf of the user is the #1 priority.   To me, that’s the bottom line.

Protect the front-end users from exploitation by locking down the privacy issues and everything else will fall into place.  Allow the front-end users to be exploited, and/or assemble data on those users that might be exploited by others; and/or allow vendors who are not under the same privacy rules; and the site stability will always be vulnerable.

House Republicans Vote to Keep Liz Cheney in Leadership Position

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on February 3, 2021 by Sundance

A complete hot mess… The MAGA movement has a lot of work ahead.

House republican representatives voted 145-61 to keep Liz Cheney in power as the #3 in the leadership position within the House GOP.  Only 61 House republicans voted to remove her.

WASHINGTON DC – Rep. Liz Cheney will keep her job as the No. 3 House Republican after a resounding victory on Wednesday evening, easily beating back a conservative-led push to oust her as conference chair for voting to impeach Donald Trump.

The effort by Trump loyalists to punish Cheney, the highest-ranking woman in GOP leadership, had been brewing for weeks and finally came to head during a heated, closed-door meeting that stretched for more than four hours as several dozen membersdefended or condemned her.

But in the end, the overwhelming majority of House Republicans voted on a secret ballot to keep Cheney in power: 145 Republicans voted against the resolution calling on her to step down, while just 61 voted for it, according to sourceswith knowledge ofthe tally.  (read more)

Leftists Move to Alinsky Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene For Thought Crimes Against Totalitarian State Interests

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on February 3, 2021 by Sundance

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) has been under a blistering assault from leftist politicians and members of the republican wing of the UniParty vulture.

The current approach is an attempt to “Alinsky” (Isolate, Ridicule, Marginalize) Ms Greene and vote to remove her from her committee assignments.  Her crime: thoughts against the regime and open discussions of questions she carries; this, pesky freedom of expression thing, is not to be tolerated in a totalitarian state.

There is a massive amount of hypocrisy when contrasting Rep Taylor Greene’s statements against those made by almost every democrat who was pushing the Trump-Russia conspiracy hoax for over 4 years.

WASHINGTON DC […] The House is set to vote on removing Taylor Greene from her committee assignments on Thursday.

She is a member of the Education and Labor Committee, a point of scrutiny given her past statements suggesting school shootings were staged to build the case for gun control. (more)

California Governor Gavin Newsom Sees Support Collapsing – Job Approval Drops to 31 Percent

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on February 3, 2021 by Sundance

Comrade Rebels, there is a considerable disparity amid the Republic when it comes to authoritarian dictates and various State Ministries of Covid Compliance. The California Ministry of COVID compliance has some of the most restrictive regulations in the nation; however, their Coronavirus cases have not abated.

Additionally, Comrade Newsom has previously claimed the virus is triggered by rebellious activity at certain times of the evening; and in specific locales.

However, there is no scientific data to validate the assumptions to support many municipalities having curfews and hours of operation to avoid the greater Rona threat later in the evening.

All of these issues. and the false-pretenses behind the regulations, have now created a backlash against the governor of the California.

WASHINGTON EXAMINER – A new poll conducted by the University of California at Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies found that Gov. Gavin Newsom’s job approval rating plummeted by 18 percentage points in three months. In October, he had a 49% approval rating; in January it dropped to 31%.

Also, 36% of respondents said they support the recall effort against Newsom, which has gained popularity among Democrats.

Roughly 31% of those polled said Newsom has done an excellent or good job in handling the coronavirus, down from 49% in September. (read more)
