Senate Passes Interim CR Extending Budget 45 Days – DC Going Bananas That Ukraine Funding Not Included

Posted originally on the CTH on September 30, 2023 | Sundance

The U.S. Senate passed the stop gap spending CR (Continuing Resolution) extending government funding for 45 days.  The Senate vote was 88-9.  Mike Lee, Bill Hagerty, Ted Cruz, JD Vance, Eric Schmitt, Rand Paul, Roger Marshall, Mike Braun, and Marcia Blackburn voted against the CR.  The CR ends November 17th.

There was no additional funding for Ukraine in the House or Senate bill.  DC is going bananas, claiming that everyone supports additional multi-billion expenditures for Ukraine, but during a Senate Republican meeting earlier today, even John Thune told Mitch McConnell the ask for more Ukraine funding was a bridge too far.

The bill will now go to Joe Biden for signature, and the temporary “govt shutdown” crisis is delayed.  There is a complete disconnect between the will of the American people, and the priorities of the DC Uniparty.

Joe Biden responded to the bill, noting the importance of an additional funding mechanism for Ukraine.

“While the Speaker and the overwhelming majority of Congress have been steadfast in their support for Ukraine, there is no new funding in this agreement to continue that support. We cannot under any circumstances allow American support for Ukraine to be interrupted. I fully expect the Speaker will keep his commitment to the people of Ukraine and secure passage of the support needed to help Ukraine at this critical moment.” (link)

Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer, speaking on behalf of Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, echoed a similar statement:

[WASHINGTON DC] …”It’s been a day full of twists and turns, but the American people can breathe a sigh of relief. There will be no government shutdown,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said shortly after passage.

The package is a departure from Senate leaders’ original ambitions to include Ukraine aid in the short-term funding bill. The final version of the bill — which overwhelmingly passed the House with bipartisan support Saturday afternoon — only includes disaster relief alongside regular government funding. Senate Democrats now say they’ll be seeking a supplemental bill to continue assisting Ukraine in its war against Russia.

“Most Senate Republicans remain committed to helping our friends on the front lines,” said Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. (link)

The intensity of the DC system, both Republicans and Democrats alike, to pour money into Ukraine, despite the majority of the American people not in agreement with the priority, is unlike anything in modern times.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) Pulls Fire Alarm in House Attempting to Stall Vote on Stop-Gap Spending Measure

According to numerous media sources, New York Democrat Representative Jamaal Bowman pulled an emergency fire alarm in the House of Representatives today in an effort to delay the spending bill that was being debated.

In ordinary times, this would lead to arrest and possible removal from office.  However, amid the DC dual justice system, and protected by cultural Marxism, it’s likely Bowman will receive no punishment.  His actions were captured on CCTV video.

(Via Politico) – Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) pulled the fire alarm in a House office building as his party tried to delay a vote on a hurried House GOP stopgap spending bill, according to the Republican-controlled Administration Committee.

[…] Neither the U.S. Capitol Police nor Bowman immediately returned a request for comment on the fire alarm activation, which multiple people familiar with the situation said was caught on camera as the House descended into fresh chaos on Saturday. (link)

Uniparty Speaker Kevin McCarthy passed the 45-day stopgap funding patch, 335-91, with help from more than 200 Democrats and 90 Republicans voting no. {Details}

Federal IRS Contractor Arrested for Stealing and Leaking President Trump Tax Returns, Also Stole Thousands of Tax Returns from U.S. Wealthiest People

Posted originally on the CTH on September 30, 2023 | Sundance

There is no way you can convince me that a federal contractor unlawfully accessing the tax filings of a sitting U.S. President does not immediately send flags throughout the IRS system.

The amount of pretending needed not to see the background of this story is off the charts.

JUSTICE – An Internal Revenue Service (IRS) consultant was charged today with disclosing tax return information without authorization.

According to court documents, Charles Littlejohn, 38, of Washington, D.C., while working at the IRS as a government contractor, stole tax return information associated with a high-ranking government official (Public Official A) and disclosed it to a news organization (News Organization 1). Littlejohn also stole tax return information for thousands of the nation’s wealthiest individuals, and disclosed this tax return information to another news organization (News Organization 2).

Littlejohn is charged with one count of unauthorized disclosure of tax returns and return information. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison. (read more)

Something Necessary to Understand About Washington DC

Posted originally on the CTH on September 29, 2023 | Sundance

Spurred from several recent conversations, it becomes entirely necessary for this specific audience to understand a reality that is never discussed.

If you are reading this, wherever you are reading this, by self-association you are in a select group of high information people with a much larger understanding of the issues than your network.  That means you know, comprehend, understand and have a level of insight and discernment that is far above average.  Now, let me be brutally honest.

Factually speaking, all of the people within the mechanisms of DC,  the people you associate with being key allies to fight back against the visible corruption,  the people you assign hope toward,  are not as smart as you.

Re-read that as needed.

One of the biggest shifts of thinking needed, in order to change our dynamic to the abusive relationship with government, is to realize these people you consider important are just not that smart. They are not wiser; they are not more strategic; they are not as well versed in the details at the heart of the crisis; they are not as well informed; they do not have special access to information that makes them more capable; they do not understand the issues better than you.

Again, RE-READ that with new eyes to evaluate and understand the challenge.

It doesn’t matter what position they hold, or what access they have, or what groups, interests, networks or information resources are at their disposal.  You know more than them, and you understand the material at a much higher level of comprehension than they do.  It does not matter what their rank or importance is, YOU know more. Once you realize this, then you begin to change how you look at the challenge and at their functional capability within it.

The informational context you assign to them does not exist.  The things you think they know, they don’t.  The very specific information you believe they are aware of, does not exist in their mind.  The people in Washington DC, those allies who you think might have the skills to fix issues, have no concept of what material you are aware of.   You are light years ahead of them in the scale of information you understand, and the context it means.

I am not being hyperbolic.

Here’s the kicker….  They think they are more aware than you.

The system around them reinforces a belief that they hold some level of knowledge that you do not have. As a result, when they engage with you, they talk down to you, or talk in a manner of unintentional intellectual condescension that stems from a place where they cannot fathom your level of knowledge.

If you have the opportunity to talk to them, I mean really get beyond the surface level stuff and dig into the weeds (even the shallow weeds), suddenly they start to get a strange look on their face – that becomes fear – as your knowledge starts to destabilize their prior view of you.

Let me be very clear and precise.  It doesn’t matter who they are, or what title they hold; the same reality of material fact that I am describing applies to all of them – at every level.

If you think of a top apex-level person, currently or formerly inside government, that aligns with the principles of freedom and liberty – and has a keen awareness of the issues and subject matter that has created our current crisis dynamic, I have likely spoken to them.   Those who fit that description, and may even be reading this right now, will tell you in a moment of brutal honesty, I am correct.

The people you think can fix this stuff  have no idea how much you know.  Additionally, it becomes destabilizing and unnerving for them to accept your level of information and understanding.

Another key and important element, beyond the knowledge, intellect, wisdom and discernment level… YOU care more about it than they do.  The stuff that you know, the stuff that you yearn for them to address and fix, is more important to you than it is to them.

Why am I telling you this?

Because we all need to change your reference points when communicating with them.  We need to confront their condescension early in our contact.  We need to be deliberate, direct, and brutally honest in our delivery.

When we write to them, articulate the arguments.  When we talk to them, pull them into the weeds of the issues and force them to see that our grasp of the topic far exceeds their ability to bullshit their way around the issue.

Being courteous, respectful and considerate for their role, does not mean you have to dumb yourself down or consider yourself subservient to their view.

I guarantee you two things.  First, that you know the material better than they do. Second, I absolutely guarantee that you care more than they do.  What that latter element says about the challenge is for another discussion, but these key points need to be emphasized.

That’s it.

Love to all,

Colony Ridge – Migrant Town Run by Cartels in Rural Texas

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Sep 29, 2023 by Martin Armstrong

Secretive migrant towns filled with undocumented persons are springing up in the US. The largest known town is located in Colony Ridge, Texas, and spans 60 square miles. No one knows exactly how many people are living there, but the general estimate is 75,000. Who has the money to buy properties and support these towns? First, the US government is providing aid to all illegals since they need them here. Secondly, the drug cartels who came into our country to escape prosecution on their own.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott said he plans to crack down on these colonies in October because it simply has gone too far. The Liberty County Sheriff, Bobby Rader, said that his department is unable to help due to the current laws. “I’ve heard rumors that the cartel is buying up these houses,” Rader said. “We don’t have any access. If they don’t break the law we don’t know about it. We can’t go and knock on doors and ask if people are doing it. It’s a problem. It’s a big, big problem.”

The media has buried the stories, but numerous murders, rapes, and drug overdoses have occurred as there is no law and order. One Mexican national is on the run after murdering a family of five from Honduras, including an 8-year-old girl. Last June, a local dog brought home a human hand. The body was too decomposed to identify. Last September, a 16-year-old girl from Honduras was found dead in a ditch wearing her waitress uniform. Police listed “gang overtones” as the motive. Two middle schoolers were found dead with bullet wounds this April. The list of crimes goes on and on. Basically, there are cartel gangs from all over South America fighting one another within this outlaw community.

This began a decade ago and has only grown since Biden opened the borders. When cash is not an option, the cartels use Individual Tax Identification Numbers (ITIN) loans as they do not require a Social Security number, job history, or legal residency. Some use owner-to-owner transfer methods to avoid loans but most of the houses in these areas are makeshift shacks. William ‘Trey’ Harris, a developer in Texas, was recently accused of selling land to illegal migrants without the proper paperwork. Yet, these migrants are also receiving taxpayer funding to run these shanty towns.

This is a glimpse of what will happen throughout the US. Numerous countries like El Salvador, Honduras, and Venezuela implemented mass incarceration for gang and cartel members. Those who were not caught have snuck into the US where they will reoffend. Colony Ridge is just the beginning.

Georgia Republicans Kick Colton Moore Out of Caucus for Demanding Investigation of Corrupt Fulton County DA Fani Willis

Posted originally on the CTH on September 28, 2023 | Sundance

Well, the corrupt Republican party system in Georgia is once again on full display.  In August Republican State Senator Colton Moore began advocating to hold Democrat District Attorney Fani Willis accountable for the politically motivated prosecution effort against President Donald Trump.

Accepting the information that came from Willis’s efforts in a “special grand jury,” Colton Moore wrote a letter to the governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, asking for a special legislative session to look into the Fulton County effort.  However, Brian Kemp and the Georgia Senate Republicans did not want to investigate Fani Willis; instead, the just kicked Colton Moore out of the republican caucus.

[Source]

(Via Breitbart) – […] Kemp and State Senate Republicans apparently oppose working to investigate, defund, and impeach Willis, and instead ousted Moore. “Today’s removal is a direct result of me calling on my Republican colleagues in the Senate to do their job and sign onto an emergency session to investigate Fani Willis,” Colton said in a statement exclusively obtained by Breitbart News:

The Georgia Constitution clearly outlines the legislature’s power to call an emergency session to investigate a judicial officer. After urging my Republican Senate colleagues to join me — they responded by acting like children and throwing me out of the caucus.

I stand by my Republican principles. I stand by the Republican platform. I will continue to serve as a Republican Senator from the great state of Georgia. Unfortunately, now I will be forced to refer to my colleagues, who ran on being “Trump conservatives,” as the RINO caucus.

The people of Georgia are 100 percent with me. This is the fight of our lifetime, and I will continue to double down to defend the rule of law and do what is right. (link)

The Georgia Republican party continues to lead the way defending corrupt Democrats.

The Second ‘First Loser’ Debate was an Embarrassment to the Legacy of Ronald Reagan, But Modern Republicans Just Don’t Care…

Posted originally on the CTH on September 28, 2023 | Sundance

According to the portly 1% fellow of no political significance, we are all supposed to think “Donald Ducks” is some brilliant labeling by the jerk from Jersey. But in reality, it only shows the complete dissonance of the professional republican class who have hired him to take shots at the leading GOP candidate. If there is a better word than pathetic, use it here.

What the hell did Ramalamadingdong have on top of his head last night? Good grief, if smuggling a Quokka onto the debate stage was a skillset for POTUS, Ramaswamy leads the furriers. Perhaps having to stand next to him was why Nikki Haley had blood coming out of her eyes, her face, her whatever. Sheesh, she’s a nasty person; and that has nothing to do with gender appropriation or misogyny.

As the Daily Mail noted [SEE HERE] the second of the first loser debates showed exactly why Donald Trump is leading the field by 50 points.  President Trump was in Michigan giving an “America-First” voice to the forgotten middle-class, while the professionally republican were stacked up in California talking about who supports Ukraine best.  What an absolute sh*t show.   WATCH (3 mins):

These seven candidates shrunk themselves so much, it’s almost embarrassing.  However, the one takeaway I did realize from watching segments of that fiasco of donor and consultant articulated soundbites, was how different President Trump is from the professionally republican.

After eight years of common sense, pragmatic analysis, simple talk and specific policy prescriptions within the America First agenda as articulated by President Trump, the professionally republican talking points are unwatchable and physically repulsive.

(Daily Mail) – […] ‘You’re afraid of being on the stage and defending your record,’ Christie said. ‘You keep ducking these things… We’re going to call you Donald Duck.’

Doesn’t quite have the ring of ‘Sleepy Joe’ or ‘Crooked Hillary’, does it? The line fell flat.

Ron DeSantis gave it a try.

‘Donald Trump is missing in action,’ DeSantis said. ‘He should be on this stage tonight. He owes it to you to defend his record, where they added $7.8 trillion to the debt, that set the stage for the inflation that we have.’

But Trump was in Detroit, speaking at a rally for striking United Auto Workers, and what he said almost doesn’t matter: In the ultimate power move, he took his stratospheric polling numbers, bolstered by every indictment and judgement that comes down on him, and spent his time with a vanishing American class – the working men and women of the heartland who have long felt abandoned by Democrats and Establishment politicians.

Back in California, there was very little charisma on stage, very little purpose – and instead of joining forces to round-house The Donald, the would-be nominees turned on each other.

Most, it seems, failed to watch back their game-day footage from the first debate.

DeSantis still does that creepy little self-satisfied smile after making a point. His whole body jerks a little, like he’s electrified by what he assumes is his wit or incisiveness.

Mike Pence was as stiff and bloodless as ever, his complexion ghastly.

Vivek Ramaswamy, whose immovable hair grows ever higher, brings to mind nothing more than ‘Spinal Tap’: He has one volume, and it’s always at 11. (read more)

Republican Wall Street Donors Looking to Nikki Haley as DeSantis Shrinks

Posted originally on the CTH on September 27, 2023 | Sundance

Long before the 2024 election was ever in the mindset of voters, CTH pointed out the specific moves the people who control Nikki Haley were taking in 2018 {GO DEEP}. It wasn’t difficult to predict, because Haley followed the Bush plan to an exacting measure.

The BUSH PLAN is the five-year roadmap that modern Republican consultants use to position their principal in the approved Republican lane. “This ‘Five Year Plan‘ was the same historic approach done for Ronald Reagan. With a candidate in the private sector, the professional donor-class make investments in the candidate while it is legal to do so. The investments are made in anticipation of future influence.  This is simply how money influences politics.”

It is not coincidental that it was also 2018, when DeSantis exited his congressional seat to establish the 2024 agenda. The U.N, as an institution, is also in alignment with the high-brow Prescott Bush clan. Ms. Nikki Haley is regarded by this clan as a very valuable commodity.  As I said in 2018, “If they can’t get Jeb, or another Bush (ie. DeSantis) over the finish line, they will be much better positioned with investments in Nikki Haley.”

To be sure, for the voters this is an impossible lift, but the RNC/RGA donor class do not regard the voters as part of the equation.  For too many years they have assembled the illusion of choice, and they are still stuck in that paradigm.  They did not feel threatened by the Tea Party, and they quite simply do not understand the larger MAGA movement.

The billionaires feel ‘above the fray‘ in their sheeple constructs; and remember, for them Newsom is just fine too.

Sept 27 (Reuters) – Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley appears to be one of the biggest beneficiaries of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ faltering campaign, with more donors saying they are looking more closely at her candidacy as an alternative to frontrunner Donald Trump.

Reuters spoke to four donors and one source close to a major donor who were impressed by the former South Carolina governor and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations in the first Republican presidential debate in August and said they were keen to donate should she continue to strengthen as a candidate.

They will be watching to see how she does at the second debate in California on Wednesday night among those vying to win the party’s nomination to run for president in the 2024 election.

DeSantis, once seen as the most formidable challenger to former President Trump, has struggled to catch fire amid missteps and relentless Trump attacks on his candidacy. Despite his campaign’s struggles he has retained the support of some major donors.

Donors are crucial to keeping White House hopefuls afloat, and the willingness of some to now look beyond DeSantis underscores his struggle to convince donors that he is the best alternative to Trump. It also shows the despair of some Republican establishment donors looking for a viable candidate who is not Trump.

Of the five donors looking at Haley, three have so far broadly sat out the campaign while one has donated to DeSantis and another was supportive of him but did not donate. Reuters also spoke to a half dozen Haley donors, advisers to donors, and even supporters of other candidates who said more donors are looking at Haley. (read more)

For a deep dive into the financial construct Nikki Haley put together {Go Here}; reference the CTH archives from November 2019, when she registered the Stand For America SuperPAC.  For an overall summary of what she has been doing {GO HERE},  and see the internal citations assembled a few weeks ago.  Haley’s superpac donor files have been leaked, and the funding pattern is similar to Ron DeSantis, only Nikki Haley has more rich democrats. …”“I don’t think [Trump’s] going to be in the picture,” she said, matter-of-factly. “I don’t think he can. He’s fallen so far.” […] “We need to acknowledge he let us down,” she said. “He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t let that ever happen again.”  (link)

FOX News Discounts Ad Prices for Second First Loser Debate

Posted originally on the CTH on September 27, 2023 | Sundance

According to a review done by Semafor of ad rates for the second Republican debate, technically the second of the first loser debates, Fox News has massively discounted the price for a 30 second advertisement to run during the broadcast.

[…] Advertisers paid a premium for airtime during the first Republican presidential debate on Fox News, but it looks like they’ll be getting a major discount during round two on Wednesday night.

Semafor reviewed the rates the network shared with one prospective ad buyer for both the first and second GOP primary debates. For the first debate, the cost of a single 30-second spot topped $495,000.

But the same 30-second spot during Wednesday night’s contest would cost just over $200,000.

Another ad buyer did not share the rates for ads running during the first debate, but confirmed that Fox was charging $225,000 for 30-second ads during the broadcast immediately after the event, and $125,000 for 30-second spots during the broadcast before it. (link)

At this point in the contest, the Republican candidates who are not supporting Donald Trump are simply showcasing their own selfish connections to the business end of U.S. politics.  It really is that simple.  These are not patriots who care about our country. These are self-interested representatives of multinational corporations and business interests who are paying for them to oppose Donald Trump.

I saw the following brutal honesty shared via The Twitter which deserves some attention.

“Whenever you hear someone self-describe as a “principled conservative” to differentiate themselves from MAGA, Trump supporters, populists, and common-sense newcomers to the GOP, and urge for a return to the “golden years,” you can confidently laugh it off as blissful ignorance.

For decades, these so-called “principled conservatives” have overseen and actively participated in policymaking that has degraded the family unit, delivered losses on abortion, brought you a 10-yearlong “assault weapons ban,” and ceded greater authority over and involvement of the federal government in education.

Not satisfied with the piecemeal destruction of society that they now bitch about for clicks, these “principled conservatives” carry their feigned outrage and ideological purity to the economic realm, blindly devoting themselves to protecting the interests of global corporate giants while sacrificing American workers at the altar of “free markets.”

When faced with the consequences of their neoliberalism—the displaced workers and their families, once-great American small towns and cities in shambles, the industrial core of the country gutted, and all the social ills that emanate from these realities—the response from these upstanding moralists is to hawkishly scrutinize every dollar that could possibly go toward alleviating some of the pain and suffering they caused.

In other words, “f**k off! you aren’t my concern.”

The false devotion to “fiscal conservatism” wouldn’t be so offensive if it wasn’t so easily discarded when constructing a national security apparatus that violates your constitutional rights, launching failed trillion-dollar regime change wars, providing foreign aid to corrupt oligarchs and regimes in quid pro quo deals, and subsidizing the social welfare expenses of other countries.”  ~ JoMa

That’s a whole bunch of truth.

It’s the exact same thing we have been talking about on these pages since the 2012 fallacy of false choices.

Matt Gaetz Explains Why Biden Inflation Means Congressional Bribes Must be Paid in Gold Bars

Posted originally on the CTH on September 27, 2023 | Sundance

The first thirty seconds of these remarks is so brutally honest, it made me laugh out loud. WATCH:

[Previously] … I do not know if Matt Gaetz is the worthy Ty Cobb of Republican politics or not, but I do know he is currently one of the only people that is not pretending.  That elevates him in my view.   Oh sure, he’ll probably acquiesce to the pressures and sell out just like the rest of them, but right now – in his best form – Matt Gaetz has dropped the pretense, and that has sent the machinery of the DC Republican system into fits of apoplexy.  Good.

I’m at the point of frustration with this nonsense where professional republican apoplexy, anger and visibly ‘losing their sh*t’ makes me smile.

Once you see the strings on the marionettes, you can never return to that moment in the performance when you did not see them.
