RNC Worried President Trump May Not Provide Fox News Opportunity to Attack Him During August GOP Debate

Posted originally on the CTH on May 3, 2023 | Sundance

It’s still a little too early to predict the attack angle that Fox News Corp is constructing against Donald Trump for their announced control over the August 2023 presidential debate; however, the one thing we are certain of is the attack itself.

You might not remember how CTH accurately predicted the attack by Megyn Kelly and the specific angle of using sexism during the August 2015 debate.  That accurate prediction was an assembly of datapoints including Kelly’s lead in television appearances; the fact that FOX’s vice-president of political content, Bill Sammon, was in charge of the debate format; the fact that Rupert Murdoch was promoting Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio; and the fact that Bill Sammon’s daughter, Brooke Sammon, was the communications director for the Rubio campaign.   The prediction was accurate, and Megyn Kelly did exactly what Rupert Murdoch paid her to do.

By the time the second Fox News debate came around in Feb 2016, candidate Trump just ignored it and held a rally instead.  This is the context for another round of Republican presidential debates, and the intent of Fox News and the RNC to support it, once again.   Fox and the RNC have once again agreed to an August 2023 debate – President Trump leading by 30 to 40 points in the polls, has not.  [SEE VIDEO] WATCH:

The second debate is scheduled for the Ronald Reagan Library, an ideological opposition group to the interests of MAGA.   As noted by the New York Times, “The chairman of the library’s board of trustees, Frederick J. Ryan Jr., also serves as the publisher and chief executive officer of The Washington Post, a fact that Mr. Trump regularly brings up.”

The Ronald Reagan library venue is as establishment Republican as it gets.  The America First agenda would find more support at the George W. Bush ranch in Texas.  The board members of the Ron Reagan library hate Donald Trump and have never invited him there to speak.  For President Trump, that venue is a non-starter.

We all know what both GOPe institutions holding and broadcasting Republican debates are going to attempt against President Trump.  Which explains why President Trump has agreed to a CNN townhall event.   Even with the pre-planted audience questions and attendees designed to undermine Donald Trump, at least facing the enemy on their turf he knows what to expect.

[New York Times] […] For Mr. Trump, denying his low-polling rivals access to a massive television audience is part of his calculations in potentially skipping the debates, according to the people who have discussed the matter with him. In 2015, Fox News drew an audience of 24 million for the first primary debate of the 2016 campaign. It was, at the time, the biggest viewership for a nonsports event in cable television history.

“In his mind there’s not enough candidates who are polling close enough to him,” said a person familiar with Mr. Trump’s thinking, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations with the former president. “And that if he does a debate this early with candidates who are polling in the single digits, there’s no upside for him.”

Another motivation for Mr. Trump is revenge: The former president has a history with the two institutions hosting the first two Republican candidate debates.

Mr. Trump has told advisers that the second debate is a nonstarter for him because it will be held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. The chairman of the library’s board of trustees, Frederick J. Ryan Jr., also serves as the publisher and chief executive officer of The Washington Post, a fact that Mr. Trump regularly brings up.

Mr. Trump is also sour that the Reagan library has invited numerous other leading Republicans to speak at its events over the past two years, including his presidential rival Mr. DeSantis, but has never extended an invitation to Mr. Trump, according to two people familiar with his thinking.

The library started a speakers series in 2021 called “Time for Choosing,” and invitees have included Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina; Nikki Haley, the former South Carolina governor and United Nations ambassador; and, more recently, Mr. DeSantis. A spokesperson for the library said no former president has been included in the series.

One reason Mr. Trump may skip the first debate is its timing — he believes it’s too early, and has told aides he does not want to debate in August. Another reason is the host, Fox News. (read more)

Whether he does or whether he doesn’t, the big picture remains clear.

The Republican Party apparatus will attempt to use their leverage within the GOPe debates to weaken Donald Trump and enhance Ron DeSantis.

Why Now? Florida Republican Legislature Sealing Ron DeSantis Travel Records from Public Review

Posted originally on the CTH on May 2, 2023 | Sundance

The easiest way to cut through the pretending nonsense is to ask the obvious question, ‘Why now?

The Florida Republican Legislature is changing the Sunshine Laws in Florida to block people from reviewing the travel records of the Florida Governor. [HB1495 Link]

The claimed justification is security, to protect the governor and high-ranking state officials.  However, the obvious timing of Ron DeSantis pending run for the White House, in combination with his administration refusing to give details on who/how the funding for his private charter flights have been taking place during the “book tour,” makes the new law much more suspicious as constructed.

As noted within a Politico article on this subject: […] flight tracking records show that a private chartered jet last week flew from Austin, Texas, to Japan to South Korea to Israel to London and then, over the weekend, stopped in Boston before finally winding up in Tallahassee. Those stops coincide with the governor’s movements for the past week.

No reply at all — It has been previously stated that this trip is being paid by private donations to Enterprise Florida, the public-private economic development agency that is about to be dismantled by the Legislature. But a spokesperson for Enterprise Florida has not responded to questions as to why a chartered jet — which is likely to be tremendously expensive — was used for DeSantis’ trip. The agency was also asked about how much this will ultimately cost.  (read more)

If we stop playing this silly game of pretending, we will accept the billionaire donors who are funding the ‘STOP TRUMP’ operation are likely the same donors who are funding the ‘BOOK TOUR’; who are the same donors who funded the new branding and consulting group in 2022; who are the same donors funding the apparatus of the DeSantis stealth campaign.  More succinctly, his control handlers.

The need for control is a reaction to fear.

The professional Republican apparatus in Florida needs to control what is visible about the construct of Ron DeSantis 2024.  If you ask my opinion, I will tell you from all appearances this fear is connected to a reality that Ron DeSantis ’24 was planned long, long ago.  Likely before the 2020 presidential election year.

As a result of decades of grassroots activist work in the state of Florida, much of it led by the patriotic Tea Party movement, the sunshine state has/had some of the most transparent public information laws in the country.  Florida is/was well known for the ability of citizens and media to keep government officials in check through public records requests.  I have personally used them and will attest to the sunlight process that was always available.

Ever since the people behind Governor Ron DeSantis began conducting a stealth presidential campaign based on fraud, deception, brand imagery and pretense, those same Florida Sunlight Laws are viewed as a risk.   The arc of this DeSantis legacy, including the legislative changes he champions as good for the state, does not end in a good place.

If you follow the process to its natural conclusion, what’s predictable is a voter swing in the other direction. Then Democrats will have a lot of powerful tools they can weaponize against their opposition.  Tools, currently created by DeSantis, will be used by a host of carpetbagging non and new-Floridians who are putting the state on a path for future misery.

You only need to look at what took place on the floor of the Florida House of Representatives today to get a sense of the legislative crisis they are gleefully creating.  This is what DeSantis leadership in the state looks like right now:

President Trump Extends Polling Lead, DeSantis Continues Shrinking, Ramaswamy Leaps Ahead of Haley and Pence,

As the business operations of politics and consultants start their income cycle, several polls have been released in the past several days attempting to capture the attention of an increasingly angst riddled population.

Household economics, job losses, wage pressure, destabilized checkbook finance issues and ongoing inflation continue at the forefront of concerns for the majority of voters. In an effort to distract from the core issue(s) of policy, both the Republican and Democrat corporations are trying to divert attention to more favorable social issues.  However, after multiple election cycles, a larger portion of the general population has caught on to the game.

The distracting political constructs are not working as well for the RNC and DNC as they used to, but they keep trying.

The CBS/YouGOV poll is one of the larger overall polls that tracks large voter samples over time [DATA HERE].  “Trump looks like a former president who left office popular with his party, and little that’s happened in the ensuing years has changed that. In fact, concerning his recent legal challenges, a majority say one rationale for backing him is showing support during those fights.”

For the well-funded multinational corporate opposition to Trump, generally best personified in their promotion of Ron DeSantis, the problem they cannot overcome is easily identified in the next graphic, “Why are you voting for Trump?

Keep in mind, this response is roughly two-thirds of all Republican voters.  94% because we have already seen the results, and 94% because he is fighting “for people like me.”

Look at this in terms of what the Republican Party is now.  This is the MAGA takeover within the GOP saying, we know Trump can deliver a great outcome for us, and he’s the only one who ever has.   There is no GOPe alternative that can fight against those two key points.

94% of the base voters who support Trump, and that’s more than two-thirds of the party, only see Donald Trump as the option.  This is a data point that many of us see and hear in our conversations.  There is no other America First, economic nationalist in the GOP field other than Donald Trump.

Donald Trump is all alone carrying specific policies that matter most.

This truth is a big deal, and it makes the professionally political efforts to defeat him look silly.

There is only one candidate with a foreign policy and economic policy that aligns with the majority of Republican voters.  That candidate is Donald Trump.   Both of those key issues are also the priority of independent voters.

All other voting issues have multiple candidate options, but for voters who look at their economic status as a priority, there is only one option, Trump.

In the 538 poll (1,577 registered voters) released today, Donald Trump beats Joe Biden 45 to 42%.  Keep in mind that 538 polls generally skew left in favor of Democrats.  The same polling shows Ron DeSantis losing a head-to-head matchup against Joe Biden 35 to 40%.  President Trump carries a similar 35-point advantage over Ron DeSantis 57/22.

The McLaughlin poll released yesterday shows a similar outcome.   President Trump beats Joe Biden 47 to 43%, and President Trump is crushing Ron DeSantis in the primary 52 to 16%.

Again, just like Ted Cruz in 2016, as more people are exposed to Ron DeSantis, his support drops.  This is an outcome of several factors, including the extreme control mechanisms used by the multinational corporations and billionaire donors to present an alternative.   However, it’s a worsening problem when you start digging into the details of what the candidates claim as their reason for being an alternative.

The DeSantis numbers will continue dropping in national polling; although, as a result of the scale of money launched in support of him, you will see his face everywhere that is controlled by that same corporate money.  Additionally, the influencers who enlisted with DeSantis are trying to retain the illusion of RdS support through an astroturf campaign.  Once the money dries up, their efforts will diminish.

WASHINGTON – Former President Donald Trump has strengthened his position as the GOP’s leader and is now in his best position yet to win the Republican presidential nomination and beat President Joe Biden in a grudge election next year.

New polling data shared with Secrets on Tuesday morning indicate that Trump has a 41-percentage-point lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who is expected to join the GOP race this month.

And Trump leads Biden 47%-43% in the monthly McLaughlin & Associates national survey. “President Trump has his best poll results year to date in our poll,” John McLaughlin said.  The only other Republican to show growth was Vivek Ramaswamy, who went from zero support last month to 4% in April. (more)

A note of caution should be applied here….

Despite the will of the voters, the Republican Governors Association (RGA) is almost certain to oppose President Trump at a state level.  The RGA will only support a non-Trump alternative, like Ron DeSantis.  The RGA is deeply connected to the same multinational and billionaire donors who are funding DeSantis in an effort to control the election outcome.

Do not look for Republican governors to pay attention to the Republican voters in their states.  Once a politician enters the sphere of donor class influence at state or federal level, they are subject to the influence of those donors.

There is a great MAGA insurgency taking place at the state level, and that is also visible in the endorsements.  However, the systems – not people, systems – which operate the business end of Republican politics at a state and federal level, are still under the control of the RNC as a private corporation.  Don’t look for MAGA support from the institutions until we have MAGA people in charge of them.

2024 is MAGA burning the ships behind us.  This one is for all the marbles. This is not a place where tepid half-measures and gentlemanly pastels will suffice.  Get right with God, put on the armor, absorb the focus of fighting like the third monkey on the ramp to Noah’s ark, and get comfortable being uncomfortable.

Our ally is anyone who stands beside us, right now. Our enemy is anyone who doesn’t.

The new sons and daughters of the revolution are going to look completely different.  The Green Dragon Tavern may be a church, a picnic table or a tailgate.  The assembly is not focused on the labels of the assembled.  We ain’t got time for that.  The mission is the purpose… The fight is wherever it surfaces…. Delicate sensibilities dispatched like a feather in a hurricane.

President Trump Travels to Scotland to Cut Ribbon for New Golf Course in Aberdeen

President Donald Trump continues living his best life even when surrounded in the U.S. by globalist jackals and political hyenas.  President Trump traveled to Scotland Monday to visit his property holdings and cut the ribbon on a new golf course in Aberdeen.

(Reuters) – Former U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Scotland on Monday for a short trip to visit his golf courses in the country and in Ireland.

Trump, who has family roots in Lewis, an island off the northwestern tip of Scotland, owns two golf courses in Scotland – one north of Aberdeen and the Turnberry resort south of Glasgow – as well as the Doonbeg golf resort in Ireland.

“It’s great to be home,” Trump told reporters after disembarking from his plane at Aberdeen airport. “This was the home of my mother.”

Trump, who launched his election campaign last November for the 2024 U.S. presidential election, said on Sunday he was travelling to “see and inspect” his properties in Scotland and Ireland.

“Will be meeting with many wonderful friends, and cutting a ribbon for a new and SPECTACULAR Second Course in Aberdeen. Very Exciting,” the 76-year old said on his social media platform Truth Social. (read more)

President Trump Lawyers Provide Key Insight on Background of Mar-a-Lago Raid via Letter to Legislative Gang-of-Eight

Posted originally on the CTH on April 27, 2023 | Sundance

If you are deep in the political research weeds about the weaponization of government, there is a letter from lawyers representing President Trump to the chair of the House Intel Committee that is very interesting [pdf available here].

The letter is written to HPSCI Chair Mike Turner and copied to the other seven members of the gang-of-eight in the Senate and House.  The letter outlines the details of the documents that became the contested issue between the DOJ-National Security Division (‘NSD’, important distinction), specifically a DOJ-NSD official named Jay Bratt, and the attorney for President Trump, Mr. Evan Corcoran.

The letter is fascinating because it outlines how the process of moving documents from the White House was weaponized by a politically motivated National Archives and Records Administration (“NARA”), and the letter also gives fulsome context to the types of “classified materials” that have been insanely over emphasized by media.

[…] “Tim Parlatore and Jim Trusty, two of the undersigned counsel for President Trump, reviewed all 15 boxes at NARA earlier this year and based on that review, it is clear to us what happened. The boxes contain all manner of documents from the White House, are loosely grouped by date, and include newspapers, magazines, notes, letters, and daily schedules. Following its review of the materials, NARA inserted placeholder pages where it had removed documents with classification markings. That allowed Messrs. Parlatore and Trusty to discern what the documents were, as well as what other materials in the boxes were in the proximity of the marked documents when the White House staff packed them. The vast majority of the placeholder inserts refer to briefings for phone calls with foreign leaders that were located near the schedule for those calls.”  (page 3, pdf link)

Additionally, get this part…  despite the standard process that has been in place for the prior four administrations, the NARA refused to participate in the collection of any documents from the White House during the transition phase following the November 2020 election.

The NARA refused to assist in the collection of the Trump records for national archive holding and review, and then the NARA triggered a sequence of events that led to the DOJ using a reference from the NARA, to weaponize a process they refused to engage in.  The NARA refused to do their specialized bureaucratic job, and then the NARA used what they defined as an incomplete job as a reason to refer the outcome to the DOJ.   The details are quite interesting.

The letter details how the DOJ-NSD then weaponized the process, fought with the FBI investigative and supervisory agents who were saying Trump was doing nothing wrong, and then culminating in a documented lie to the Florida magistrate, in order to get a politically motivated search warrant.

The DOJ will not release the documents they used to convince the judge to obtain the warrant.  Additionally, the DOJ will not release a list of the documents, or even describe the documents, they later claimed are classified.   To this date, the Trump defense team is being told President Trump held classified documents, yet the DOJ will not describe to the lawyers who represent President Trump, what those classified documents are.

I strongly urge anyone interested to read the 10-page letter.  It is a key part of the puzzle being explained and outlined.

Trump Classified docs response to hpsci

If, like me, you see the elements of the Washington DC corruption through a prism of bipartisan participation and purposefully blind willfulness; and if you overlay the entire mechanics of what we can document to be undeniably true about the scale and scope of the participating enterprises who operate within this corrupt system of government; and if you accept that multinational corporations, mega-financial conglomerates, and powerful interests in control of money are the true seats of power behind the DC Potemkin Village; then you can fully grasp how this specific part of the weaponized government against Donald Trump system fits into the bigger picture.

The depth of the DC corruption is stunning; yet so too is the intensity of the sunlight that is so easy to put upon it with simple truths.

This is not an 800lb gorilla sitting in the corner of the room that everyone pretends not to see.

This scale of corruption is more akin to a 30,000 lb blue whale laying on top of the house, fin and flippers hitting the ground and crushing the neighbors’ rose bushes, while the tail blocks the streets and the stench of it all permeates the air for a dozen miles….  Yet, the owners of the house keep inviting everyone to the cocktail parties, and the guests pretend not to notice anything.

It’s all just so damned weird.
