Senate Judiciary Committee member Lindsey Graham walks through the events of the past several days and outlines his hopes for how the senate confirmation process will progress.
Senator Graham is optimistic the FBI report will leverage Flake, Collins and Murkowski to support the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh against their expressed opposition. West Virginia Democrat Senator Joe Manchin doesn’t have to do anything as long as the republicans are the opposition. This type of protection agreement is the UniParty way; it works in both directions.
Graham is making the same bet as President Trump; likely it was Graham who convinced POTUS into the FBI/VOTE delay. Hopefully, they are correct; I’m not convinced. We’ll see… maybe, in a few weeks… possibly, hopefully, sooner; if we get lucky. The UniParty goal is to keep pushing until the gravity of the mid-term election gains an unbreakable grip on Kavanaugh.

There is a crescendo of frustration within the electorate, I call it “Cold Anger”, ready to be unleashed. Unfortunately, the traditional republican approach -represented by the Kevin McCarthy/Mitch McConnell mindset- with any political controversy, is to frame the argument such that GOPe politicians cannot vote against the will of the electorate.
In the example of Jeff Flake, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, the GOPe strategy is to position Brett Kavanaugh, such that Flake, Murkowski and Collins cannot vote against the nomination. This is the Decepticon way; the way of the swamp.
Unfortunately, what most MAGA voters fail to understand is: each of the aforementioned senators want to vote against the nominee; their self-interests are aligned with the UniParty in opposition, not in favor. This endless quest to find ways to force the Decepticon politicians to vote with the will of the people is emotionally and mentally exhausting.
This is a personal opinion, likely not supported by many – and generally unpopular, but President Trump should have told Mitch McConnell to let Senators Flake, Murkowski and Collins face the ultimate choice. Force them to vote either “for” or “against” the will of the people.
This is a constitutional republic working as designed.
By playing the Machiavellian political games of the swamp, President Trump might, repeat might, gain Kavanaugh; however, the underlying system of corrupt and bastardized political processes remains untouched and unfazed. This approach benefits the swamp.
Perhaps President Trump will eventually win the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh. Perhaps President Trump can leverage Flake, Murkowski and Collins to vote against what they really want to do. Perhaps, yet again, we can eek out a win despite their political opposition. However, in doing so the Decepticon system just moves-on to the next Machiavellian deployment.
In the bigger picture, and again this is likely unpopular, I would prefer to confront the swamp directly. Put sunlight on these elements that continue to hide amid our ranks. Force the damn vote. If it fails, we move to the next nominee and the mid-term election.
Make Jeff Flake, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski fight us in sunlight. Fight us where everyone can see. Fight us directly…. At some point We The People need to end this decade-long fight strategy where we engage amid shadows and deceivers. Their preferred ground rules for this are based on Machiavellian political scheme, lies and fraud.
Not everyone may agree on this approach, that’s ok. I understand there are all sorts of opinions on these issues. However, my sense is that We The People are ready to fight, but we also want those who oppose us to see the purposeful glare in our eyes as we achieve victory and crush them with overwhelming force.
We need to draw out the deceivers and eliminate them from our ranks. As a well versed person pointed out recently:
….”How do you fight a [Decepticon] virus that continues to mutate and survive, no matter the treatment?”…
I would argue, we stop trying to treat it… and just kill it.

Less than two hours before the Senate Judiciary Committee vote, Bill Whittle, Scott Ott and Steve Green recorded this half-hour special look at the consequences of the Kavanaugh hearings and accusations — for him, her, us and the republic.
Mr. Jeffrey Catalan accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of assaulting a woman on a boat in Rhode Island. Mr. Catalan first sent the accusation to Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, one of the primary Democrat operatives who was helping to construct the attacks against Judge Kavanaugh. Senator Whitehouse simultaneously informed the media and the Judicary Committee of the allegations. Mr. Catalan later recanted his story, saying he made it all up.
The investigation may also include Senator Sheldon Whitehouse for assisting and promoting the false accusation:
WASHINGTON – The Senate Judiciary Committee today referred for criminal investigation apparent false statements made to committee investigators alleging misconduct by Judge Brett Kavanaugh. In a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director Chris Wray, Chairman Chuck Grassley sought a criminal review of the actions by a named individual who provided Congress with the information, diverting Committee resources from an ongoing investigation.
Committee investigators have actively pursued a number of tips the committee has received regarding the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, though the committee has not been able to substantiate any allegations of wrongdoing by Judge Kavanaugh. One tip was referred to the committee by staff for Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I).
While Whitehouse referred the accuser to a reporter, the committee took the claim seriously and questioned Judge Kavanaugh about the allegations under penalty of felony. Judge Kavanaugh denied any misconduct. After the transcripts of that interview became public, the individual recanted the claims on a social media post.
“The Committee is grateful to citizens who come forward with relevant information in good faith, even if they are not one hundred percent sure about what they know. But when individuals provide fabricated allegations to the Committee, diverting Committee resources during time-sensitive investigations, it materially impedes our work. Such acts are not only unfair; they are potentially illegal. It is illegal to make materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements to Congressional investigators. It is illegal to obstruct Committee investigations,” Grassley said in the letter.
Grassley has called on the Justice Department and the FBI to review the matter as a possible violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1001 and 1505, portions of the U.S. code criminalizing the sharing of materially false information with committee investigators and obstruction of proceedings of congressional committees.

Fusion has resources inside and outside government and the capability to exploit FBI and NSA databases containing information about U.S. citizens. Fusion then uses a secondary network of media outlets who they pay to write articles shaped for their purposes. Fusion GPS is operated by Glenn Simpson.
In April 2016 Hillary Clinton hired Fusion GPS to target her presidential campaign opponent, Donald Trump.
Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson then assigned Russian expert and CIA research analyst Nellie Ohr to the Trump project. At the time Nellie Ohr’s husband, Bruce Ohr, was the #4 ranking official inside the DOJ National Security Division. Simultaneous to Nellie Ohr’s assignment, Fusion GPS also sub-contracted with Christopher Steele for additional material and internal collaboration with Mrs. Ohr.
Glenn Simpson, Nellie and Bruce Ohr then worked with Christopher Steele on the “Steele Dossier” and the promotion of the content therein to media and FBI allies. The FBI then closed the loop by exploiting the information within “the Dossier” to gain a Title-1 FISA surveillance warrant on the Trump campaign. All of this activity is now a matter of public record; none of it is disputed.
This network of activity has gained a great deal of sunlight over the past nine months as witnesses have given testimony to congress, and documents have been released showing how it all came together.
With these new revelations in hand, and with all of the supportive documentation now released, Joint House Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte wants to question Fusion-GPS founder Glenn Simpson about his role in “Spygate”, the corrupt exploitation of the FISA court and the larger “Crossfire Hurricane” FBI counterintelligence operation, headed by fired FBI agent Peter Strzok.
Through his attorneys Glenn Simpson is now refusing to testify about his involvement in all of the operations against candidate, president-elect, and President Donald Trump.
In a rather revealing letter [SEE HERE] Mr. Simpson is refusing to accept that he played a role in the operation(s), and instead is placing the blame for the abuse of the U.S. intelligence apparatus upon the Australian government:
Yes, you read that correctly; Mr. Glenn Simpson is saying he and Christopher Steele didn’t start the spy operations, it was the Australians’ fault.
Apparently Chairman Goodlatte is having nothing to do with this ridiculous denial, and has now issued a subpoena for Mr. Simpson to appear and answer for his involvement.
Generally overlooked by overwhelming news surrounding SCOTUS nominee Judge Kavanaugh; the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) voted yesterday to release the transcripts of more than fifty witnesses who gave testimony during the 2017/2018 investigation into Russian election interference.
Following the vote to release, the transcripts must first be reviewed by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Dan Coats, for potential redactions of any classified or national security content before they are made public. [View the Full List Here]
Additionally, it is important to note these are not interviews surrounding the much more interesting joint house investigation reviewing the FBI and DOJ conduct and corruption. The HPSCI interviews only targeted a review of Russian interference. That said, there are some interviews which could share light on the activity within the Obama administration and the engagement with the intelligence community as the inside group planned the soft-coup attempt.
The decision to release the materials by Chairman Devin Nunes will provide 53 transcripts, likely thousands of pages, of testimony. Not all interviews are being released, and there is no time-frame established for when they become public. [List Here]

Yesterday CTH noted/predicted the strategy by the political opposition to Brett Kavanaugh would become evident with leaks from corrupt officials inside the FBI to their ideological allies in the media. In part, this strategy (create media narratives) was the reason for Debra Katz, attorney for Ms. Blasey-Ford, to hire Michael Bromwich.
As attorney Katz noted yesterday, the investigation is only one “step in the process” of destroying Judge Kavanaugh, their use of the media is another critical step.
Corrupt elements within the DOJ and FBI have a vested self and ideological interest in supporting attacks against supreme court nominee Kavanaugh. Less than 18 hours later, those corrupt FBI officials begin leaking information to the Washington Post.
(Via Washington Post) The FBI has begun contacting people as part of an additional background investigation of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, including a second woman who alleges that the Supreme Court nominee sexually assaulted her, according to people familiar with the unfolding investigation.
The bureau has reached out to Deborah Ramirez, a Yale University classmate of Kavanaugh’s who alleges that he shoved his genitals in her face at a party where she had been drinking and become disoriented, her attorney said Saturday.
“She has agreed to cooperate with their investigation,” Ramirez attorney John Clune said in a statement. “Out of respect for the integrity of the process, we will have no further comment at this time.” (read more)
