Yesterday Italian officials announced that half the airline passengers arriving from China tested positive for COVID-19. However, in a follow-up today Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said so far all of the testing shows the omicron variant, no new sub-variants of the virus.
The Biden administration CDC announced yesterday that effective January 5, 2023, all passengers traveling to the U.S. from China will be required to show a negative COVID-19 test prior to arrival.
(Bloomberg) — Italy didn’t find any new concerning Covid-19 mutations among recent arrivals from China who tested positive for the virus, a relief for officials worried about fresh health threats.
Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said Italy already sequenced half of the samples tested in Milan and they all show the omicron strain of the coronavirus. “This is quite reassuring,” she said at a press conference Thursday. “The situation in Italy is under control, and there are no immediate concerns.”
China has scrapped its strict lockdown measures in recent weeks, leading to a surge in infections in the country. While the exact numbers are unclear, the rapid spread has led to concerns around the world about new strains emerging.
The US and Italy on Wednesday joined an increasing number of nations demanding Covid tests for travelers from China, after Japan and Taiwan unveiled similar measures. (link)
It seems odd that with all this time passed, China is still struggling with COVID-19 mitigation and treatment while the rest of the world seems to have moved beyond it. Perhaps this is an outcome of China’s zero covid approach.

China has loosened travel restrictions internally. As a result, there has been an uptick in COVID-19 infections throughout China. Along with the loosened domestic travel restrictions, many Chinese are booking flights out of the country.
Despite previously accusing the Trump administration of promoting ‘Asian hate‘ and xenophobia, the Biden CDC is now requiring travelers from China to provide evidence of a negative COVID test prior to travel to the U.S, and entry into the United States.
(Via Axios) – The United States will require travelers from China to show a negative COVID-19 test result before flying to the country amid China’s recent uptick in cases, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Wednesday.
The big picture: The CDC’s decision comes amid a surge in COVID-19 cases in China, which recently loosened its travel restrictions and opened its borders for overseas travel.
The CDC said it is mainly concerned about slowing the spread of COVID-19 in the U.S. The agency also wants to prevent any variants of concern from leaking into the country.
Details: Starting Jan. 5 at 12:01 a.m. ET, all passengers from China who are 2 years old and older will need to receive a negative PCR or antigen self-test no more than 2 days before their departure from China, Hong Kong or Macau, per the CDC.
This applies regardless of nationality or vaccination status, the CDC said. It also applies to travelers traveling from China via a third country, or those who are connecting through the United States to another country. Airlines will need to confirm the negative test result for all passengers before they board. Otherwise, they can deny boarding for the traveler, per the CDC.
Context: People in China — who were under heavy COVID travel restrictions until earlier this month — have been flocking out of the country. Air travel ticket sales have soared since China eliminated quarantines and testing requirements for travelers into the country. (more)

The logic within the research outline is silly. Unvaccinated people have a 72% higher rate of severe vehicle accidents than vaccinated drivers according to the study.
Could it be the difference between rural vs metropolitan populations; one drives frequently, for longer durations and distances, while the other does not?
Apparently, that type of commonsense possibility did not make it into the analysis. However, the authors of the study do suggest insurance companies should start considering insurance risk hikes based on vaccination status.

Or at least those are the findings of a new study published this month in The American Journal of Medicine. During the summer of 2021, Canadian researchers examined the encrypted government-held records of more than 11 million adults, 16% of whom hadn’t received the COVID vaccine.
They found that the unvaccinated people were 72% more likely to be involved in a severe traffic crash—in which at least one person was transported to the hospital—than those who were vaccinated. That’s similar to the increased risk of car crashes for people with sleep apnea, though only about half that of people who abuse alcohol, researchers found.
The excess risk of car crash posed by unvaccinated drivers “exceeds the safety gains from modern automobile engineering advances and also imposes risks on other road users,” the authors wrote.
Of course, skipping a COVID vaccine does not mean that someone will get into a car crash. Instead, the authors theorize that people who resist public health recommendations might also “neglect basic road safety guidelines.”
Why would they ignore the rules of the road? Distrust of the government, a belief in freedom, misconceptions of daily risks, “faith in natural protection,” “antipathy toward regulation,” poverty, misinformation, a lack of resources, and personal beliefs are potential reasons proposed by the authors.
The findings are significant enough that primary care doctors should consider counseling unvaccinated patients on traffic safety—and insurance companies might base changes to insurance policies on vaccination data, the authors suggest. (read more)

The Guardian reported that they are known as the “Good Club” which seems to be the same marketing ploy used for ensuring your death which they call life insurance. Fire, theft, and accident insurance are called by their proper name.
They could never sell “Death insurance” so they inverted the name by calling it life insurance and then everyone was willing to buy it. They have done the same thing with ABORTION. They flipped it from the extermination of a child arguing it has no human right until it is born, and they championed it as a Woman’s Right to decide her own body. Justice Ginsberg made it clear that it was NEVER about woman’s rights, it was all about reducing the population of minorities that Gates’ father championed Planned Parenthood and stuck his clinics in minority areas.
Here, they market themselves as the “Good Club” which can only mean one thing – this is the evil meeting that is more akin to a war room. The Guardian wrote:

Initially, Fauci spoke the truth that masks were useless. All the studies from the 1918 Spanish Flu confirmed that masks never worked and the Washington Postsaid they were “useless.” Everyone knows that the Post is so left they could never walk a straight line. Now the head of Pfizer has refused to testify before the European Parliament. Let’s face the facts. This entire COVID scam was carried out with the full knowledge of those at the very top. It was done for the purpose of creating this Great Reset Agenda. It was being pushed by the WEF and Klaus Schwab for political purposes. Remember how the WEF was telling us it was so great to lock everyone down? And now, they claim the inflation has nothing to do with shortages, but Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. They really think everyone, of the vast majority anyhow, is outright stupid and will believe whatever they say.
These people should be removed from any power and imprisoned for life. Of course, there is no possible justice when the very people apply their laws ONLY to us, and never act in an ethical manner themselves.
A scientist, Andrew Huff, who had actually worked at the research Wuhan Institute of Virology lab in, China has claimed that COVID was a man-made virus that leaked from the facility. He blamed authorities for the “biggest US intelligence failure since 9/11.” While interesting, 9/11 was not an intelligence failure. They allowed it to happen.

Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and several Biden administration officials were named in a lawsuit filed by Eric Schmitt and Jeff Landry. The deposition shows attorney John Sauer of Schmitt’s office conducting the questioning. The deposition contains 63 exhibits, including confidential emails and media reports. The Joe Biden administration have extended the COVID-19 ‘National Emergency’ through the end of 2023, next year. This permits all of the government control mechanisms to remain in place; however, the COVID national emergency declaration runs counter to their legal justification for open borders.
In Washington DC the Biden administration is declaring a national health emergency still exists; meanwhile in Texas, the same Biden administration is arguing in court that no national health emergency exists. After the White House COVID “Winter of Death” 2021 messaging was ridiculed and ignored by almost everyone in the general public, the communications team quickly went back to the drawing board. You can almost hear Ron Klain instructing the team to find ways to avoid the ‘Grinch team‘ labeling.
However, the ordinary emotional disposition of leftists and Democrats, writ large, is depressing, angry and negative, the result from a lifetime of blame casting. The most valued skillset advancing the career of any professional leftist, is their ability to project victimhood. If you do this long enough, it becomes the only thing you know how to do. ‘Hang around a one-legged man long enough, and you will walk with a limp’.
As a direct result, the political left genuinely does not understand or experience joy, nor do they have a connection to the emotion of happiness. So, when the political left gets together in a focus group to discuss the urgent need to shift messaging from pessimism, which turns everyone off, they end up with recommendations like this:
Yes, White House Chief of Staff, Ron Klain, hired dancing nurses in December 2021 to come into the East Room to deliver a performance for the First Lady. The group sang about the joy of covid, the “winter of death”, and needing to spread a little Christmas cheer.
You might have found the entire performance cringeworthy, because it was.
The messaging was ridiculous, odd and, well, just plain weird. However, this is what happens when the narrative pendulum swings wildly amid the communications team. The base of Biden supporters, ideological leftists, do not see the cringe, instead they see COVID-19 as a cute opportunity to express their collective attachment – but that’s also because they have no connection to the emotion of Christmas joy.
