DC’s Corrupted Legislative Process and Why The Dem/Rep UniParty Dismisses Your Opinion of It…

REPOSTED BY REQUEST – CTH often describes the background DC motives with the phrase: “There are Trillions at Stake.” Here we take a look at what that really means, and how DC politics is not quite based on the ideas that frame many reference points.

With people taking notice of DC politics for the first time; and with people not as familiar with the purpose of DC politics; we end up within two different references. Perhaps it is valuable to reset the larger frames of reference and provide clarity.

Most people think when they vote for a federal politician -a House or Senate representative- they are voting for a person who will go to Washington DC and write or enact legislation. This is the old-fashioned “schoolhouse rock” perspective based on decades past. There is not a single person in congress writing legislation or laws.

In modern politics not a single member of the House of Representatives or Senator writes a law, or puts pen to paper to write out a legislative construct. This simply doesn’t happen.

Over the past several decades a system of constructing legislation has taken over Washington DC that more resembles a business operation than a legislative body. Understand this dynamic and you understand how politicians become multi-millionaires on much lesser salaries; and why ‘We The People’ are insignificant and annoying gnats to their business model.  Here’s how it works right now.

Outside groups, often called “special interest groups”, are entities that represent their interests in legislative constructs. These groups are often representing foreign governments, Wall Street multinational corporations, banks, financial groups or businesses; or smaller groups of people with a similar connection who come together and form a larger group under an umbrella of interest specific to their affiliation.

Sometimes the groups are social interest groups; activists, climate groups, environmental interests etc. The social interest groups are usually non-profit constructs who depend on the expenditures of government to sustain their cause or need.

The for-profit groups (mostly business) have a purpose in Washington DC to shape policy, legislation and laws favorable to their interests. They have fully staffed offices just like any business would – only their ‘business‘ is getting legislation for their unique interests.

These groups are filled with highly-paid lawyers who represent the interests of the entity and actually write laws and legislation briefs.

In the modern era this is actually the origination of the laws that we eventually see passed by congress. Within the walls of these buildings within Washington DC is where the ‘sausage’ is actually made.

Again, no elected official is usually part of this law origination process.

Almost all legislation created is not ‘high profile’, they are obscure changes to current laws, regulations or policies that no-one pays attention to. The passage of the general bills within legislation is not covered in media. Ninety-nine percent of legislative activity happens without anyone outside the system even paying any attention to it.

Once the corporation or representative organizational entity has written the law they want to see passed – they hand it off to the lobbyists.

The lobbyists are people who have deep contacts within the political bodies of the legislative branch, usually former House/Senate staff or former House/Senate politicians themselves.

The lobbyist takes the written brief, the legislative construct, and it’s their job to go to congress and sell it.

“Selling it” means finding politicians who will accept the brief, sponsor their bill and eventually get it to a vote and passage. The lobbyist does this by visiting the politician in their office, or, most currently familiar, by inviting the politician to an event they are hosting. The event is called a junket when it involves travel.

Often the lobbying “event” might be a weekend trip to a ski resort, or a “conference” that takes place at a resort. The actual sales pitch for the bill is usually not too long and the majority of the time is just like a mini vacation etc.

The size of the indulgence within the event, the amount of money the lobbyist is spending, is customarily related to the scale of benefit within the bill the sponsoring business entity is pushing. If the sponsoring business or interest group can gain a lot of financial benefit from the legislation they spend a lot on the indulgences.

Recap: Corporations (special interest group) write the legislation. Lobbyists take the law and go find politician(s) to support it. Politicians get support from their peers using tenure and status etc. Eventually, if things go according to norm, the legislation gets a vote.

Within every step of the process there are expense account lunches, dinners, trips, venue tickets and a host of other customary financial way-points to generate/leverage a successful outcome. The amount of money spent is proportional to the benefit derived from the outcome.

The important part to remember is that the origination of the entire process is EXTERNAL to congress.

Congress does not write laws or legislation, special interest groups do. Lobbyists are paid, some very well paid, to get politicians to go along with the need of the legislative group.

When you are voting for a Congressional Rep or a U.S. Senator you are not voting for a person who will write laws. Your rep only votes on legislation to approve or disapprove of constructs that are written by outside groups and sold to them through lobbyists who work for those outside groups.

While all of this is happening the same outside groups who write the laws are providing money for the campaigns of the politicians they need to pass them. This construct sets up the quid-pro-quo of influence, although much of it is fraught with plausible deniability.

This is the way legislation is created.

If your frame of reference is not established in this basic understanding you can often fall into the trap of viewing a politician, or political vote, through a false prism. The modern origin of all legislative constructs is not within congress.

“we’ll have to pass the bill to, well, find out what is in the bill” etc. ~ Nancy Pelosi 2009

“We rely upon the stupidity of the American voter” ~ Johnathan Gruber 2011, 2012.

Once you understand this process you can understand how politicians get rich.

When a House or Senate member becomes educated on the intent of the legislation, they have attended the sales pitch; and when they find out the likelihood of support for that legislation; they can then position their own (or their families) financial interests to benefit from the consequence of passage. It is a process similar to insider trading on Wall Street, except the trading is based on knowing who will benefit from a legislative passage.

The legislative construct passes from K-Street into the halls of congress through congressional committees. The law originates from the committee to the full House or Senate. Committee seats which vote on these bills are therefore more valuable to the lobbyists. Chairs of these committees are exponentially more valuable.

Now, think about this reality against the backdrop of the 2016 Presidential Election. Legislation is passed based on ideology. In the aftermath of the 2016 election the system within DC was not structurally set-up to receive a Donald Trump presidency.

If Hillary Clinton had won the election, her Oval Office desk would be filled with legislation passed by congress which she would have been signing. Heck, she’d have writer’s cramp from all of the special interest legislation, driven by special interest groups that supported her campaign, that would be flowing to her desk.

Why?

Simply because the authors of the legislation, the originating special interest and lobbying groups, were spending millions to fund her campaign. Hillary Clinton would be signing K-Street constructed special interest legislation to repay all of those donors/investors.

Congress would be fast-tracking the passage because the same interest groups also fund the members of congress.

President Donald Trump winning the election threw a monkey wrench into the entire DC system…. In early 2017 the modern legislative machine was frozen in place.

The “America First” policies represented by candidate Donald Trump were not within the legislative constructs coming from the K-Street authors of the legislation. There were no MAGA lobbyists waiting on Trump ideology to advance legislation based on America First objectives.

As a result of an empty feeder system, in early 2017 congress had no bills to advance because all of the myriad of bills and briefs written were not in line with President Trump policy. There was simply no entity within DC writing legislation that was in-line with President Trump’s America-First’ economic and foreign policy agenda.

Exactly the opposite was true. All of the DC legislative briefs and constructs were/are antithetical to Trump policy. There were hundreds of file boxes filled with thousands of legislative constructs that became worthless when Donald Trump won the election.

Those legislative constructs (briefs) representing tens of millions of dollars worth of time and influence were just sitting there piled up in boxes under desks and in closets amid K-Street and the congressional offices. Legislation needed to be in-line with an entire new political perspective, and there was no-one, no special interest or lobbying group, currently occupying DC office space with any interest in synergy with Trump policy.

Think about the larger ramifications within that truism. That is also why there was/is so much opposition.

No legislation provided by outside interests means no work for lobbyists who sell it. No work means no money. No money means no expense accounts. No expenses means politicians paying for their own indulgences etc.

Politicians were not happy without their indulgences, but the issue was actually bigger. No K-Street expenditures also means no personal benefit; and no opportunity to advance financial benefit from the insider trading system.

Without the ability to position personal wealth for benefit, why would a politician stay in office? The income of many long-term politicians on both Republican and Democrat sides of the aisle was completely disrupted by President Trump winning the election. That is one of the key reason why so many politicians retired immediately thereafter.

When we understand the business of DC, we understand the difference between legislation with a traditional purpose and modern legislation with a financial and political agenda.

Lastly, this is why -when signing legislation- President Trump often says “they’ve been trying to get this through for a long time” etc. Most of the legislation passed by congress and signed by President Trump in his first term is older legislative proposals, with little indulgent value, that were shelved in years past.

Example: Criminal justice reform did not carry a financial benefit to the legislative bodies, and there was no financial interest funding the politicians to pass the bill. If you look at most of the bills President Trump has signed, with the exception of a few economic bills, they stem from congressional construction many years ago.

When you understand that any changes to this system will not be accepted by those who command power and affluence; when you accept their willingness to deploy military tanks around themselves in order to protect them from you; and when you realize they will use every system, including the ballot counting machines, to stop the American people from disrupting this corrupt system of self-aggrandizing elitism; you start to realize the diminished options for removing them from office…

We have a rather unique situation here…  The digital U-Haul is loaded after our eviction from WordPress/Automattic for violations of community ‘wrong think’ and questioning narratives against the interests of Big Tech.   After a decade on the platform we are sweeping up the porch and saying farewell to the WordPress community.

The CTH family is disappointed at the business position of Automattic, but we are also excited about the new home we have created.  CTH 2.0 is going to be awesome, liberating and even better.  We are so blessed and fortunate beyond my wildest imaginings.

Right now we are patching the holes in the walls and running the vacuum while our long-time friends stop by to express their anger about our eviction. Simultaneously, those who moved away to the big city are coming back to visit and express their support.

I cannot go into details, mostly because I haven’t yet decided whether to accept a proposal for a grand exit – or stick to our customary & understated simple wave farewell, but the big city folks want to use this eviction as a warning of sorts.

Apparently, the youthful rebellious spirit within those who sold-out to mega-media conglomerates and bright lights has been triggered. A spirit we at CTH retain.

Out there in the land of the MSM right now there is a group of ‘journalists’ ideologically reminiscing for a time when the counter-culture was fighting for the truth; damn the consequences and without care for wounded feelings, delicate sensibilities or financial livelihoods.  They reflect on a spirit we have retained and protected within our CTH community. A spirit we will never stop safe-guarding from enticement and compromise.

We are rag-tag misfits, we are proud of it, and -if needed- we clean up well.

We are a crew more comfy eating pizza from box on a tailgate than trying to fit in with a new media outlook of highfalutin’ big technocrats.  We are, quite simply, the rebel alliance.

All of that said, a question for each of you would be:

How did you find yourself a member of the CTH community?….

What was it that brought you here?…

And why did you stick around with this group through whatever endeavors you found of value?

A notable disclaimer.  Your answer(s) may end up in a very large spotlight; so think about whether you are comfy with that before you share anything.  Your comment responses are always private, but also likely to be read by some very influential big city types.

An update on CTH 2.0 will soon follow.  But for now, as we sit on the porch and reminisce about a decade of discussion on this platform, there are a bunch of folks who want to know why CTH matters to you.

If you feel like sharing your answer, write it in the comments.

Every response is entirely OK.

I have never known a better group of cyber-friends than this community.  I have never known a larger and deeper group of experience than exists right here. I have never known a better team at assembling details, granular and specific details that outline the truth, than this crew.  For that, I am blessed and incredibly thankful… Especially today.

So if you’re comfy, what brought you here?

Love to all,

Separate and distinct from ballot fraud and manipulation, Matt Braynard digs into the discoveries from the “Voter Integrity Project” review of the public 2020 election data.

The Voter Integrity Project focused on ballot and election result issues that are determined from statistics of quantifiable voters, actual people voting.  The issues of ballot outcome manipulation through counting machines, and/or manufactured mail-in ballot fraud, is a separate issue from the project results as discussed within this video explanation:

Happy Thanksgiving – Turkey a la Swamp!

Re_posted from GrrrGraphics.com NOV 26, 2020 AT 9:49 AM

For Thanksgiving this year the Democrat jackass has morphed into part turkey.

The combination equals hypocrisy.

Jackass says / Turkey does:

1.  Don’t celebrate Thanksgiving with family members! / We will have family over for Thanksgiving.

2.  Eat dinner with a mask!  / You’ll see no masks at my table.

3.  Sit far apart for social distancing!  / We sit shoulder to shoulder at our table.

4.  You must get tested before commingling!  / Testing isn’t practical for us—it’s too inconvenient and unreliable.

5.  The stores are out of toilet paper again! / Not at our house—we have plenty!  Toilet paper galore. One of us has even has a toilet made of gold.

6.  Use disinfectant and gloves when passing food dishes!  / Do as we say, not as we do. Pass the gravy and cut the cleaning nonsense.

7.  Restrict the number of guests!  / We’ll have as many family members as we choose.

8.  The cops will show up to enforce restrictions on guests!  / Cops for thee, never for we.

9.  Check points will be set up at state borders!  / Not on our streets. We come and go as we please.

10.  Thanksgiving is a super-spreader event!  / The only things we are spreading are the butter and cranberry jelly.  So good…

11.  Be safe! Thanksgiving could kill you due to COVID! / Bill Gates says he hopes you all die.

12.  Be prepared for a “forced” quarantine!  / No quarantine for those ordering a quarantine.

13.  You should rat on your neighbors when they violate rules, edicts, orders, and mandates related to Thanksgiving!  / We Democrats are exempt from all edicts and mandates due to national security.

14. Your businesses need to stay closed!  / Amazon and other mega globalist corporations need to stay open because they donate money to us.

15. We need to keep you safe!  / We need more money to put in our safes.

Thank you for your submission,

Your Democratic overlords.

Happy, Yes, Happy! Thanksgiving Day

Posted originally on The Conservative Tree House on November 26, 2020 by Menagerie

Please remember this is a non political post. If you make comments I have to trash I will put you on the banned list. I’m sorry this comment is necessary and prominent, but it is always needed. Be thankful or pass by this post, please.

I hope that you will bear with me during the first part of my post, as I use this opportunity to remember and be thankful for lots of people who made my year survivable, and not only helped me, but taught me much. I promise it’ll get better shortly.

This year Thanksgiving Day will be different for many of us, and you might even be stumbling over the gratitude, thankful, and happy part. If so, I hope to offer a few thoughts to change your mind.

For my family, and yes, for me as well, this has just been an awful year, the worst of my life so far. I found out this year that I had never really made an acquaintance with suffering, and long term severe pain, and I’ll just tell you straight up that I wish that had continued.

I mention my injury because it does lead to my point. Even in the midst of pain and near despair, I had to recognize that my blessings were many, and many of them came to me directly because of my injury. From moments after I had my fall, I had family to care for me, in ways large and small, three generations of family. I had friends to help as well, and boy, did I need all of them.

I dare say I had more prayers offered up for me than I’ve had my whole life. I had wise and kind people who understood just being there when nothing could be done except to be. Some of them lived far, far away, but they found wonderful ways to just be there when I needed it. At times I needed to be kicked instead of coddled, and my husband, a fine master of the blunt kick appropriately applied was not always around to do it, so there were a few friends with the kindness (I do sincerely mean that) and courage and wisdom to gently offer a nudge.

Speaking of husbands, mine is the best. He kept our lives going, cared for me, even when it humiliated and enraged me at the amount of care I needed, he cooked, shopped, cleaned, made all the rounds of doctor and therapy appointments, and worked a full time job. When he was needed out of town for work he refused to go until I was stable and safe. When it would have been okay and enjoyable for him to go on his Saturday shooting trips, he refused to go until I was safe…and less miserable. From the minutes after I called him following my fall until today, he has been what God made him to be, an unfailing rock.

I told my sons, he exercises those for better or worse vows just as well, just as strongly, just as faithfully and without one complaint in the for worse times as well as the for better times. When God made this man, he stood back and knew this one would stand against all struggles and hard times, that his heart would never falter, nor his step slow. This man will outlast any hard times and struggles. I am not really fit to stand beside him, but I sure am grateful, thankful, and happy that I get to.

My sons and daughters in law were exceptional in being there for me, and in rearranging their schedules and lives to help. My grandchildren even spent days fetching and carrying when I needed someone here with me. Extended family and friends helped in so many ways, from meals, cleaning, rides to doctors’ visits, and shopping for us.

Last but not least, EMTs, doctors, nurses, physician’s assistants, techs, physical therapists (my favorite people in the world right now), and all the medical personnel who have helped me survive and have hope of thriving again one day. For the fact that I had the best medical care in the world available at 4 in the morning and continuing through my recovery period. For gifted surgeons, especially, I am thankful. For experienced therapists who almost had to teach me to walk again.

Truly, I have had some of the greatest blessings and kindnesses of my life this year. Dear God, I am sorry that I spent more time complaining to you about my sorrows and pains than thanking you for the blessings you sent my way. I really, really hope I do better in the future.

And that leads me to thoughts about our world, in a general way, and our country specifically, and all that we Americans have faced this year as planet Earth has crazily made its voyage around our sun.

Those of us who are old enough were blessed to really learn about Thanksgiving from parents and teachers. In my childhood, every year we spent hours at school painstakingly making hand turkeys and putting on plays honoring the Pilgrims and Squanto and his fellow Indians who taught the settlers how to survive. We found out that our forefathers and mothers fought the elements, lack of proper knowledge and preparation, supplies, illness, starvation, and death the first winter they arrived in America. We found out how they learned to hunt, fish, but more importantly, plant and harvest, build and plan, prepare and prevail.

We learned those things, but I don’t think even our teachers and parents made us realize how much bitter, backbreaking hard work they endured on top of sickness and loss. We could never have understood what those men, women, and children endured, but we at least were taught to honor and remember it.

We were taught that they did the most important thing of all in the fall of the year after their first harvest. They set aside a day to honor and thank God for bringing them through, for blessing and saving them.

We kids did absolutely understand their thankfulness, and by extension our own. We proudly celebrated the troubles and triumphs of our American forefathers, blessed to begin a new life in this wonderful land of ours, our home, our America. I believe that being taught our Thanksgiving stories laid a foundation for patriotism.

Those first struggles set the American character for the future. Increasing numbers of colonists would step onto rather small wooden ships with poor food and little accommodation to human needs and brave the wild Atlantic storms to find homes in our wilderness, and they had their own fierce battles and struggles, despairs and triumphs.

In time American patriots, who did not yet possess the name Americans, would fight tyranny, rise up, band together in rag tag militias and buy the freedom, in blood, to found the greatest country the world has ever known, the United States of America. A new country born from persecutions, unfair taxation, and no representation. Sounds familiar?

Our young country would continue to grow and prosper in the face of adversity. A government had to be set up, the Constitution formed from passionate ideas and dreams and hopes from passionate men. The Bill of Rights was added. The fledgling country faced the debt incurred during the Revolution, and immediately foreign policy problems had to be dealt with.

As settlers streamed into frontier lands in western New York, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and other as yet unsettled and un-named states, armed conflicts with Indians became a part of American history.

Later came such challenges as the debate over the Louisiana Purchase, the War of 1812, and always, the great movement westward toward what Americans named their Manifest Destiny. Texians defined courage and patriotism, sacrifice and indomitable will at the Alamo, burning an unrivaled and epic tale of valor into the history of mankind.

The long years of pre civil war struggle between Free and Slave states, the Abolitionist Movement, the Underground Railroad, Bloody Kansas, finally firing off the first shots of the Civil War at Fort Sumter. The battles, wins and losses for both sides, with so many casualties, and particularly in the South, starvation and death brought to civilians struggling just to survive.

The struggles continued with the aftermath of the war and the assassination of President Lincoln. Reconstruction. Hardship, bitter enemies taking perhaps the long way toward rebuilding a bloodied and torn nation. Still more westward expansion.

Canals dug, railroad lines built, mining strikes, economic crises. Disease, famine, natural disasters. Epic villains, from the Barbary pirates to the Russians and British (again!) in the Northwest to Spain and Mexico in the South and Southwest and California.

Gold rushes and land rushes. Riches discovered, fortunes made, destinies sought and found. From the Bread Basket to the Dust Bowl, with World Wars and Asian conflicts, the Great Depression between wars, Americans kept thriving, eventually even winning the race to put a man on the moon.

From our first moments until this very minute, we Americans have fought the battles that are ours to fight, poured out our blood, sweat, and tears in rivers of sacrifice.

Hundreds of peoples we are, from the Indians of the Americas, the Europeans who crossed oceans, the Asians, Africans through slavery and later those who came seeking a better life, peoples from every continent and probably almost every country, we have formed this great and wonderful land and our people, Americans, encompassing every race, religion, and ethnicity known to mankind.

It was never easy, but it was always worth it.

Don’t you dare give up on us now. The best is yet to come, and if we have to bleed and sweat a little, well, it isn’t anything we haven’t done before. Today say your prayers and thank God for those who came before and pray for the courage to honor them in our time and with our own courage, will, and sacrifice. Liberty is not sold cheaply, ever.

It is Thanksgiving Day and we are a grateful people and a grateful nation. Let us celebrate that, especially today.

Happy Thanksgiving

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

We the great unwashed, are supposed to be denied family contact for today as well as Christmas. Governor Cuomo invited his mother and thought he could sneak that one past everyone. Only when people became outraged was he forced to revoke that invitation. This just shows the arrogance of these people because they know this is all simply politics to change the economy to Communism 3.0 where the elite keep their toys and wealth while we are stripped of our future.

Cuomo is a ruthless politician who in a revolution they would have dragged him out and beheaded him in France. The Supreme Court just ruled against him in trying to shut down religion by imposing limitations on attendance. These people are true Marxists who hated religion. He had to let the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade take place so it could be on TV for all of those locked-down – but real spectators unless they have political passes.

I hope you are enjoying Thanksgiving with your family.

Interesting

For the first time, I can confirm that this site is now being censored and in a desperate manner by those in technology to block any comment with regard to certain people and their attempt to overthrow the entities above. It seems that only those who subscribe to the emails (free) can see them. That is a different service. This is an all-out war against tyranny. Here is the post they would not allow to be put up.

I understand they under-report the traffic on this site. We can verify that as well. But this is getting to be a real war for our rights by these people who are so desperate to enslave us. This is PROOF that the election is one giant fraud because if it were legit, they would not be concerned about resistance.

We DO NOT sell emails. You will also NOT receive solicitations from our firm either. This is a PUBLIC SERVICE and is not used to sell you anything. We do not even accept advertising on this site because it is a PUBLIC SERVICE and does not require people to register or be tracked. It appears that political emails the question the integrity of the election or even report what others are doing is trying to be suppressed by some very evil people in BigTech. Judge Blocks Pennsylvania & Powell Files Sues George & Michigan Others Sue Wisconsin

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Nov 26, 2020 by Martin Armstrong

All is not lost. I do not think that Trump can win by overturning votes. There is no time for that. What is possible is to prevent these four states, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin, from certifying Biden and that would throw the election into the House of Representative as was the case in 1824 where Trump would win. I have been warning that “Our model shows that 2020 will be the most violent political election since the 1960s.” Dead people voting has always been an issue. When I have been warning at our World Economic Conferences that by 2020, this would emerge as the most violent and corrupt election in American history, this forecast was made by Socrates.

This has far surpassed anything I would have guessed When this is all over and done, a real investigation will show that countless millions were spent by Zuckerberg and others to overthrow Trump which may have been to prevent Facebook from being broken up. I pray that Trump wins so there can be a REAL cleaning of the swamp which extends far beyond just Washington. It is time many of these people are to be held accountable for trying to destroy our future.

 Powell Michigan-Complaint

Pennsylvania state judge halts the governor from certifying the election for Biden.  Sydney Powell filed lawsuits in Georgia and Michigan. The Michigan lawsuit alleges that “hundreds of thousands of illegal, ineligible, duplicate, or purely fictitious ballots” enabled by “massive election fraud” helped make possible Biden’s vote count lead in the state. The suit also pointed to multiple issues pertaining to Dominion Voting Systems.

Powell Georgia Complaint

Plaintiffs allege that the design and features of the Dominion software do not allow for a simple audit to see whether votes were misallocated, redistributed, or deleted, pointing to a Jan. 24 decision by the Texas secretary of state to deny certifying the software “because of a lack of evidence of efficiency and accuracy and to be safe from fraud and unauthorized manipulation.”

Wisconsin Petition: Wisonsin-pet-for-orig-action-11-24-20

Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, the allegations are that more than 144,000 votes were illegally cast in the Nov. 3 election which included an estimated 96,000 from voters who listed themselves as “indefinitely confined” — and therefore not required to present a photo ID. The court papers allege that these people were not incarcerated. The petition also alleges that more than 12,000 votes cast for Republicans were not even counted. On top of that, what has surfaced is Mark Zuckerberg funding to overthrow Trump. It is further alleged that election officials violated state law by accepting more than $6 million from a nonprofit financed by billionaire Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. If true, he was funneling money to election officials to rig the election?
