Thoughtful Monologue, Tucker Carlson Discusses the Potential Impact of a Free Speech Twitter

Tucker Carlson used his opening monologue Friday evening to outline his perspective on the Elon Musk takeover of the social media platform Twitter.   Generally, Carlson does a good job framing the big picture of national events; however, Carlson outdid himself on this contextualized delivery.

While the underlying premise of Carlson’s position is structured on a yet-to-be-seen possibility of free speech, the context for the importance of the moment is very well presented.  I hope that Tucker Carlson is correct in regard to the altruistic intent of Mr. Musk.  Well worth watching:

Carlson’s monologue reminded me of Oleg’s brilliant take on this moment in history (picture below):

President Trump Will Not Return to Twitter, While Elon Musk Says Content Decisions Will Be Made By “Moderation Council”

Earlier today President Trump noted he would not be returning to the Twitter social media platform; he likes Truth Social better:

Additionally, with a great deal of interest in what will happen to the Twitter platform, Mr. Elon Musk has announced a diverse moderation council will be created to make content rules and guidelines.  Following up with a reply, “we have not yet made any changes to Twitter’s content moderation policies.”

There is a great deal of interest in the outcome of the purchase of Twitter.  However, it is worth tempering any expectations and taking a wait and see approach.

Is Musk independent?  Does anyone really know?

From what my own research indicates, and assuming Mr Musk is entirely independent minded, I think it may take any “independent” Musk team quite a while to find out exactly what the internal networks of Twitter are all about.

My guess is, there are background connections in the Twitter code [compatibility datasets to align with other (shadow?) networks] that will take a long time to unravel.

I stand by my original inclination:  Twitter is to the U.S. Govt, what TikTok is to China.

President Trump Announces Midterm Election Rallies in Key States Including Florida, as Democrats Abandon the Sunshine State

President Donald J Trump has announced four key election week rallies, with more possible, as the race to the midterm election comes down the stretch.

The announced stops include Sioux City, Iowa (Thursday 11/3); Latrobe, Pennsylvania (Saturday 11/5); Miami, Florida (Sunday 11/6); and Dayton, Ohio on Monday November 07.  See Below:

The Sunday evening event in Miami, Florida, is happening as Democrat donors and party officials have all but given up on the state.  According to Politico:

[…] “Most worrisome for Democrats, national organizations and donors have all but abandoned their candidates — setting off fears that Florida is no longer viewed as competitive. That would have dire implications for the next presidential election.”

[…] “Translation: It’s over. And it’s going to be ugly.”

It’s not the only bad sign for Democrats in Miami-Dade County, where nearly 60 percent of voters are Hispanic. An internal poll released earlier this month by Democrat Annette Taddeo had her beating her Republican opponent, Rep. María Elvira Salazar, by just 1 point in Miami-Dade County’s 27th Congressional District — but with DeSantis up on Crist by 6 points in that district. DeSantis lost the district in 2018 by nearly 8 points. (read more)

President Trump organizing a Sunday rally in Miami-Dade for Marco Rubio, where Trump’s support level far exceeds current Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, is a smart move.  Rubio will benefit from the high Latino loyalty to President Trump, gain additional exposure in a high-density population, and put the nail in the coffin for Democrats in their former stronghold.

Despite the anxiety it brings to the Republican Club, the unique nature of Miami-Dade shows how the MAGA message attracts a deep and wide coalition of working-class voters.  In a general sense, the electorate shift in Miami-Dade is indicative of a new Trump brand of the republican party, focused on economic outcomes and America-First.

In a separate article, the GOPe club members aligned with more acceptable form republican, specifically Governor Ron DeSantis, are angered that President Trump would extend his influence and rally support for Marco Rubio without requesting prior approval and unity with the Florida governor.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Former President Donald Trump is coming to Miami just two days before Election Day. But one Republican won’t be there — Gov. Ron DeSantis. Not yet anyway.

Trump on Wednesday said he’ll hold a rally with Sen. Marco Rubio on Nov. 6. DeSantis was left off the announcement and an adviser to the former president said the Florida governor is not attending.

The apparent snub angered some people within DeSantis’ orbit, who complained that the Florida governor’s team was not informed of the rally prior to Trump announcing it. The timing of the Trump and Rubio event means any campaign event DeSantis holds that day won’t get as much attention during the all-important final stretch of the 2022 midterms.

“You’ve got the Sunday before Election Day totally hijacked by Trump parachuting in on Trump Force One taking up the whole day,” said a longtime Republican consultant who is close to the governor. “No Republican could go to a DeSantis event that day. None. And DeSantis won’t be here? This is big.”

Another person who is influential in DeSantis’ world said it was “an elbow to Ron’s throat” and blamed Trump advisers. (read more)

The Florida rally announcement comes on the heels of Ron DeSantis endorsing anti-MAGA Colorado candidate Joe O’Dea, a republican who promised to campaign against President Trump and any MAGA candidate who supports him.

The complaining DeSantis 2024 organizers are a mixture of allied republican establishment figures, corporate party donors and former Ted Cruz base supporters (Never Trumpers) who have united in common cause to stop the MAGA working-class coalition from taking full control of the republican party.

When DeSantis went into the bunker on the day of the FBI Mar-a-Lago raid, remained silent for 5 days, and then exited bunker with a new establishment brand image crew and communications team, it was obvious what happened.  We accept things as they are, not as we would wish them to be.

Governor Ron DeSantis is 94% funded by Wall Street hedge fund managers, billionaires and multinational corporations,… to the tune of over $200,000,000….. with a national campaign launch, book launch and national television advertising strategy….  The national campaign is brutally obvious.

Ron DeSantis in 2024 is Jeb Bush + Ted Cruz in 2016.

  • Five Days in Bunker following Mar-a-Lago Raid 8/9/22
  • No expressed support for Donald Trump following Mar-a-Lago raid 8/9/22.
  • New brand image consulting team 8/14/22
  • New communications team 8/14/22
  • National advertising campaign
  • 94% billionaire and corporate funding
  • Raised $200+ million for a state governor race?
  • Cancels Lee Zeldin fundraiser after meeting with New York real estate donor who supports Hochul
  • Endorsed by Club For Growth (C4G)
  • Voted to support TPP trade agreement and Obama Fast Track trade authorization
  • Supports all Ukraine funding and U.S. government spending in Ukraine
  • Endorsed Florida Red Flag Laws, most firearm confiscation of any state
  • Silent over the 100 Florida citizen J6 detainees (largest number in nation)
  • Asked legislature to criminalize boycotts of Israeli companies, including pharmaceutical companies
  • No support for E-verify system or employment law against illegal alien hires
  • Endorsed by Paul Ryan
  • Endorsed by Jeb Bush
  • Refused to answer question about filling his full term as governor if reelected.

.

Ron DeSantis is a generally good governor, and he has full support from a GOP controlled state legislature; but only time will tell if he is dishonest in his national intents.  Every Floridian should vote for Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, granting him the benefit of the doubt that he will be around as governor for the next four years.   However, if/when DeSantis wins reelection, he would destroy his own career by announcing a 2024 presidential bid six months later.

Had Ron DeSantis stated his intention to fully serve his entire term as the Republican governor of Florida, I doubt President Trump would be sending shots across GOPe bow.

Insufferable J6 Committee Files Political Subpoena for President Trump Testimony as a Midterm Loss Election Shield and Insurance Policy

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 21, 2022 | Sundance

Yesterday, Politico noted President Trump had enlisted the law firm of Harmeet Dhillon as a proactive measure against a J6 subpoena. “Former President Donald Trump has hired a firm to engage with the Jan. 6 select committee on its forthcoming subpoena of him, POLITICO has learned.” {link} Less than a day later the J6 committee issues the formal subpoena.

Once again, the corrupt DC institutional system, and specific media participation, are identified by the leaks and recipients. The injustice system, DOJ/FBI always use the New York Times and Politico as their advanced public relations firms. The insufferable J6 subpoena details can be FOUND HERE.

WASHINGTON DC, J6 Committee – “Pursuant to a unanimous vote of the Select Committee, Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) today announced that the Select Committee has issued a subpoena to former President Donald Trump for testimony under oath and records relevant to the Select Committee’s investigation into the attack on the January 6th on the United States Capitol and its causes.

In a letter to Mr. Trump, Chairman Thompson and Vice Chair Cheney underscored his central role in a deliberate, orchestrated effort to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and block the transfer of presidential power, a matter central to the committee’s investigation as it reviews the facts and considers recommendations to prevent a recurrence of the violence of January 6th.” {link}

The committee is giving President Trump until November 4th to comply with the document request, with a demand for testimony by November 16th.

No president (executive branch) has ever been forced to give testimony to a legislative committee (legislative branch) because the very foundation of the demand violates the separation of powers as established in the constitution.  This legal argument will take some time to work itself out, and the (un)likelihood of the subpoena being successful speaks to the political nature of the theatrics in advance of the 2022 midterm election.

That said, having been the recipient of two J6 subpoenas, successfully defeated – in part thanks to your support, I can provide some insight into why President Trump enlisted the Dhillon Law Firm.

At least from my experience, there are only a handful of potential lawyers or law firms who will even take the case of a fight against a J6 committee subpoena because: (1) it is just so fraught with politics, and (2) the entire enterprise is a litigious and financial black hole.

The weaponized J6 committee has a bottomless budget, the J6 targets do not.  Ultimately, the financial cost is the root cause of why Lawfare succeeds.  It’s just too damned expensive to fight them off, even with great lawyers.  I can only imagine how much Steve Bannon has spent, and how much President Trump will have to spend.

Even a simple responsive letter to the committee, depending on scale and scope, starts around $10,000 and goes up from there; that’s just for the initial response.  If the initial response isn’t successful, the fight retainer starts around six figures for the next round… and that’s just a single and simple case.  The more complex legal arguments are exponentially more costly for the targets.  Justice system? Yeah, good luck with that.

Now, given the J6 subpoena against President Trump is likely to fail on constitutional grounds, let’s talk about the motive for why they would do this.

The J6 Committee has a timeline that is now extended beyond the midterm election.  This is not accidental.  The midterm election is likely to result in the House flipping from Democrat control to Republican control.  Keep in mind both Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger are lame ducks right now.  Additionally, the people inside the J6 committee machinery are Lawfare agents like Mary McCord.

The committee is timing their political effort to extend beyond the midterms in order to shield itself from Republican scrutiny.  The oft familiar “ongoing investigation” shield becomes a purposeful technique to protect themselves, a transparent motive surfaces for their timeline.

Post-election, the committee will lean heavily on the media to avoid any/all discoveries of their malicious targeting conduct if the midterm elections remove the Democrats from power. This is the way these conniving and corrupt political lawfare agents work.

Unfortunately, the Republican wing is not an opposing force against the Democrat wing.  They are both wings of the same DC UniParty vulture.  So, we should not anticipate any full combat in the post-election House by an angered GOP against Democrats.  Everything will be optics; nothing will be substantive.

Bottom line, the J6 subpoena against Trump should fail, but that’s not the real motive for the J6 to push the subpoena against Trump.  They are using this Trump subpoena, and the long battle that will ensue over it, as a shield against scrutiny by a flipped power structure in the House of Representatives.

If Republicans win the House, Nancy Pelosi will retire. Bookmark it. There is no scenario where Nancy Pelosi will remain in congress after all of the political manipulation, she has done in the past four years.  Adam Schiff will likely be minority leader.

Trump vs The Elites

Pump this straight into my bloodstream….

Some people can just assemble words brilliantly.  J.B. Shurk for American Thinker:

“Donald Trump is still the most popular politician in America.  Despite the best efforts of a Deep State–supporting, fake news–peddling, globalist-puppeteering Axis of Evil dedicated to his disposal, President Trump still stands.

That any man could be so continuously pummeled by the corrupt efforts of America’s criminal (in)justice system, sociopathic officeholders, shady spies for hire, and propaganda-spewing press and yet rise with such vim and vigor is a sight to see!  Courage and resilience in the face of unrelenting torment and scorn tend to galvanize those witnessing the bloody spectacle to the sufferer’s cause.  To remain undefeated while the torturers’ whipping arms become weak and weary inspires legions to remain undefeated, too.

How do great and powerful systems come toppling down?  When one man stands fearlessly before the rot and rancidness with a giant mirror and says, “Look at what you’ve become.” (Continue Reading)

Trump Sues CNN

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Oct 5, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Former President Trump has filed a defamation lawsuit against CNN. It is of no surprise that the network repeatedly bashed the president before, during, and after his presidency. Trump’s attorney claims the network “has sought to use its massive influence — purportedly as a ‘trusted’ news source — to defame the Plaintiff in the minds of its viewers and readers for the purpose of defeating him politically, culminating in CNN claiming credit for ‘[getting] Trump out’ in the 2020 presidential election.” Trump is seeking $475 million in damages.

Some believe this may be a publicity stunt as defamation suits are notoriously difficult to win. However, we cannot deny that CNN was running a smear campaign against Donald Trump. They reported on the Steele Dossier, Russian collusion, and other completely fake stories as if they were factual. It seemed as if CNN was running a 24/7 channel designed for the purpose of bashing Trump.

Trump’s lawyer also claimed that CNN told their viewers he was a cult leader, associating his likelihood with that of Adolf Hitler. Under this umbrella, the current White House and every other media outlet should be punished for defamation. Joe Biden himself declared MAGA Republicans the biggest threat to democracy, and violence against conservatives has ensued. Let us also not forget how CNN treated Trump during his debates.

This would be a huge step in the right direction for journalism at large if CNN lost. It is unlikely that CNN will completely lose, but they are in the wrong. Journalism has become nothing more than a tool of propaganda that cannot be trusted.
