Thom Tillis Threatens Trump Supporters to “Stand Down” on Pressure Because He Only Needs 4 Votes in Senate to Destroy Any Nomination

Senator Thom Tillis appears to have been granted a larger slice of the lobbyist money from Thune and McConnell because he certainly is taking up a position next to Joni Ernst in strategic opposition to President Donald Trump.

The level of passive aggressive threat-speak within Tillis’ very carefully selected wording is quite concerning.  “President Trump enjoyed a great deal of Republican support in his first term,” Tillis notes.  “But if people want to play the outside [pressure] game, they run a lot of risk,” he continues. “Four votes is all it’s going to take to kill a nomination here, so they should take pause,” Tillis reminds everyone.

Senator Tillis from North Carolina represents the aloof mindset of the Senate at large, and the detached mindset of the Republicans in the senate specifically.

The republicans in North Carolina in 2024 are highlighting just how similar they are to the republicans in Georgia, circa 2020.

Schiff and Stephanopoulos Discuss How They Can Best Resist President Trump

Posted originally on the CTH on December 16, 2024 | Sundance

Senator Adam Schiff, a DC swamp creature of incredible corruption and manipulative intent, appears with ABC George Stephanopoulos who just agreed to settle a lawsuit by paying Donald Trump $15 million, and together they commiserate about the best way for the Deep State and media to align in resistance to President Trump.

While it can be annoying to watch the professional gaslighting of Adam Schiff, it is also possible to see what angles he will take in his next attack vector simply by listening to where his priorities are focused.  As the conversation moves to DNI nominee Tulsi Gabbard (03:05), you see the gaze of Schiff intensify in preparation to defend the Intelligence Community.  WATCH:

.

Schiff is very concerned about Tulsi Gabbard being in the same office space as the “six ways from Sunday” group. Very concerned.

Mitt Romney Reflects on a Career of Lightly Held Stances

Posted originally on the CTH on December 16, 2024 | Sundance

So many people have seemingly forgotten that Mitt Romney was the 20212 Republican presidential nominee.  He was crushed by Barack Obama despite record turnout by republican voters who held their nose, yet again, one last time and voted for the last of the GOP ‘next in line’ crew.

As he exits a career in politics, Mitt Romney reflects upon his professional legacy of ‘lightly held stances’ and expert level graciousness in losing; he’s had lots of practice.  As Mitt Romney concedes the Republican party to the MAGA movement, this is somewhat of a reflective moment.  WATCH:

Sunday Talks – Incoming Nat Sec Advisor Michael Waltz Talks About Drones and Ukraine

Posted originally on the CTH on December 15, 2024 | Sundance

Incoming national security adviser Michael Waltz talks to Face the Nation with dramatic acting Margaret Brennan.  The first part of the interview discusses drones, fears and “gaps in our security” according to Waltz.

Within the interview Brennan questions Waltz about Hungarian leader Viktor Orbán personally meeting with President Trump and carrying a potential message from Russian President Vladimir Putin.  Waltz notes that Orban “clearly has a good relationship” with President Trump and that will be key to ending the war in Ukraine.  WATCH:

As National Security Advisor, Waltz likely won’t last a year.  “Gaps in our capabilities,” is DC intel codespeak for more rules, regulations, control mechanisms and anti-freedom national security legislation is needed.

My Spidey sense indicates a CNN gig in his future.  Waltz just gives off that ‘he will believe everything the IC tells him’ vibe.

Mike Waltz is married to Julia Nesheiwat, the sister of Surgeon General nominee Janette Nesheiwat.

Julia, who -like all other people who work in DC silos- has never taken a married name.  Julia Nesheiwat was born in Carmel, New York, in 1975 to Jordanian Christian immigrants and raised in Umatilla, Florida. She has a BA from Stetson University, an MA from Georgetown, and a PhD from Tokyo Tech.

Julia Nesheiwat became a military intelligence officer. She received the Bronze Star Medal during Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq. She departed the military as captain.  Julia Nesheiwat served in several U.S. administrations. Under George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump, she held senior national security and economic policy positions. Her most notable role was as Trump’s 10th Homeland Security Advisor from 2020 to 2021. Her Bush administration posts included State Department seniority and Office of the Director of National Intelligence Policy Chief.

Suffice to say their bedroom conversations are likely Intel Community shop talk.

While it’s interesting that Congressman Mike Waltz was selected to be President Trump’s National Security Advisor, it’s actually Julia Nesheiwat that carries the curriculum vitae that seemingly qualifies her for the job.

This will be an interesting dynamic to watch unfold.

I suspect Waltz will be the first T-47 exit.

Sunday Talks – Devin Nunes Discusses Kash at FBI and His Role Filtering Out Political Intelligence

Posted originally on the CTH on December 15, 2024 | Sundance

Devin Nunes appeared on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo today to discuss Kash Patel as the possible FBI Director and the new role for himself just outlined by President Trump. {Direct Rumble Link}

Devin Nunes will be chairman of the President’s Advisory Board on Intelligence, and he describes his role as recognizing, researching and filtering out the political intelligence products.  Exactly as we suspected. WATCH:

I’ll work with President Trump to depoliticize America’s intelligence agencies

.

Nunes noted some declassification of prior evidence will be considered and reviewed.

♦ Intel Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson, former counsel to DOJ-NSD Head Mary McCord during the construct of the Carter Page FISA application, testified to a closed session of the House impeachment committee about the CIA whistleblower, the connection to Alexander Vindman and the construct of why Atkinson changed the rules of the CIA to permit anonymous whistleblowers.

That transcript of Atkinson’s testimony was sealed and classified by Adam Schiff. At the time of his testimony, Mary McCord was working for the House impeachment committee.

Start by locating and releasing that transcript. START THERE! It’s a great first document to release.
