Mexican President Sheinbaum Apoplectic at U.S. Sanctions Against Mexican Money Launderers

Things are getting very interesting as the clock ticks toward the end of the USMCA trade agreement.

Almost no one is watching the USMCA element because it quietly exists only in the background of events. However, pay close attention to the ancillary stories because they will eventually merge with the end of the USMCA and two bilateral trade agreements between the U.S-Canada and the U.S. and Mexico later this year.

NATO funding and Canadian economic independence, and by extension the EU and China, comes into the northern agreement.  Border security and Mexican economic independence, and by extension immigration and China, comes into the southern agreement.  The strength of MAGAnomic policy flows directly through both.

In the quiet sphere, a few days ago Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, a key player in the trade program, announced sanctions against three Mexican financial organizations that underline the influence of the Mexican cartels and the Mexican government. [Treasury Announcement Here]

“The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) issued orders identifying three Mexico-based financial institutions—CIBanco S.A., Institution de Banca Multiple (CIBanco) [ORDER HERE], Intercam Banco S.A., Institución de Banca Multiple (Intercam) [ORDER HERE], and Vector Casa de Bolsa, S.A. de C.V. (Vector) [ORDER HERE]—as being of primary money laundering concern in connection with illicit opioid trafficking, and prohibit, respectively, certain transmittals of funds involving CIBanco, Intercam, and Vector.  These orders are the first actions by FinCEN pursuant to the Fentanyl Sanctions Act and the FEND Off Fentanyl Act, which provide Treasury with additional authorities to target money laundering associated with the trafficking of fentanyl and other synthetic opioids, including by cartels”. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum is furious. “The Treasury Department hasn’t provided a single piece of evidence to show that any money laundering was taking place,” she said. “We aren’t going to cover for anyone, there isn’t impunity here. They have to be able to demonstrate that there was actually money laundering, not with words, but with strong evidence.”

Secretary Scott Bessent has provided all of the evidence above in the three orders.  However, this U.S. Treasury action is going to cause a massive disruption to the financial system used by Mexican officials to remain in power.  This is the key point.

Remember, the Customs and Border Patrol enforcement action in Los Angeles was not about deporting illegal aliens. The origination of the chaos in Los Angeles centered around the ‘customs” aspect of the CBP as they targeted local businesses that were operating as money laundering outfits for drug and human trafficking into the USA.

Again, for emphasis, the subsequent riots that took place in Los Angeles were NOT originated by deportation operations involving ICE; they originated from CBP and FBI operations involving Mexican money laundering.  The ICE operations came as an outcome of encounters with illegal aliens who were working inside the Los Angeles businesses that were under investigation.

[…] Sheinbaum said they were notified by American officials of the accusations ahead of the Wednesday announcement, and that Mexican financial regulators carried out their own investigations into the institutions.

They found “administrative infractions,” she said, but nothing close to the accusations being levied by Treasury officials.

In the orders blocking transactions between the three institutions and American banks, the Trump administration alleged that the three companies facilitated millions of dollars in transfers with Chinese companies, which it said were used to buy chemicals to produce fentanyl. The Treasury Department said the institutions had facilitated transfers to U.S. banks, but officials would not name which U.S. institutions were implicated nor provide more details.

Sheinbaum countered that their own investigation simply showed that institutions had strong relationships with Chinese clients and banks, which she said was more of an indicator that the two countries share a robust trade relationship. (more)

But wait, it gets better…

As CPB and FBI make moves on the network, not only does Treasury come into play with a follow-up of blocking financial transactions for the money launderers, Secretary of State Marco Rubio comes in to target anyone associated with the process.

BESSENT: …”Combating drug cartels and stopping the flow of deadly drugs into the United States is one of the Trump Administration’s highest priorities.  In January 2025, President Trump issued an Executive Order creating a process by which certain cartels and other organizations would be designated as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) and/or Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs).  Accordingly, in February, the U.S. Departments of the Treasury and State designated eight organizations, including six major Mexico-based drug cartels, as FTOs and SDGTs, including the CJNG, Gulf Cartel, and Sinaloa Cartel.  Today’s actions complement these designations, as a further step to deny individuals and entities associated with cartels access to the U.S. financial system.” (more)

Can you see how this is coming together.

The cartels are designated terrorist organizations.  The Chinese supply chains are designated as ‘global terrorists.’  The countries that facilitate these transactions are Mexico (primary) and Canada (secondary).  This coordinated multi-agency operation directly targeting the heart of the issue… follow the money… ends up as booster fuel for the elimination of the USMCA.

The politicians, bankers, brokers and families of the bankers, brokers and close persons who are identified in the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCen) are then subject to visa removals, restrictions and other punitive mechanisms available to the State Dept.  This could include President Claudia Sheinbaum herself, if identified as a co-conspirator.

All of this is happening simultaneous to massive drops in the amount of remittances from the USA to Mexico as illegal aliens are trying to avoid any documented paper trail of their personage inside the United States.  Tens of billions are being lost.

China is being hit. The Mexican cartels are being hit. The Mexican government is being hit. The Mexican financial system is being hit. Mexican politicians are being hit. Mexican illegal aliens inside the USA are being hit.  Mexican money launderers are being hit…. and by extension all of those who benefit from the funding therein, including the DNC, CIA and corrupt U.S. politicians are at risk.

Follow the money. It’s always about the economics of the thing…

Yeah, President Claudia Sheinbaum is going bananas.

A Dangerous Moment – The Targeting of Tulsi Gabbard

For the sake of urgency I’m going to talk in direct and bold terms about the targeting of Tulsi Gabbard.  The IC system is attempting to remove her as a disruptive influence by using Iran as a wedge to get her out, but the issue they have with Director Gabbard has nothing to do with Iran.

CTH approaches this after being very concerned about Tulsi Gabbard’s ability.  Not because of intent, but rather we doubted her understanding of the scope of the IC opposition aligned against an effective Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Gabbard started out with these weaknesses, but she learned quickly – grasped the opposition– and has become a transformative force within the Intelligence Community.  Director Gabbard’s recent efforts within the Intelligence Community Inspector General office is another feather in her cap of competence.  Gabbard is now a threat.

If President Trump allows or supports the removal of DNI Gabbard, he is opening up the backplate of his armor, and making himself vulnerable.

The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Chairman Tom Cotton, the disassembled National Intelligence Council and a host of Intelligence Community embeds would like to see Gabbard removed.   DC wants to see her removed because the traditional role of the DNI has been a willfully blind tool of the Intelligence Community; Gabbard is not that.

As DNI Mrs Tulsi Gabbard has ♦ chased down intelligence community leakers, ♦ released the JFK files, ♦ released Joe Biden’s domestic terrorism surveillance plan, ♦ intercepted an NIC plot to impeach President Trump (confirmed by Rubio), ♦ taken control of the Presidential Daily Briefing, ♦ and more recently begun to confront the weaponized corruption within the IC Inspector General organization. These are actions, not words, and those actions speak boldly.  Suffice to say, her effectiveness has placed a target on her back.

In the past few weeks, ever since she began intercepting the ICIG issues and using her own personnel to monitor the IC network, she has been targeted with several direct smear campaigns. It is obvious the targeting is coming from inside the intelligence apparatus, and perhaps even the orbit around/under CIA Director John Ratcliffe.

Tulsi Gabbard did make a strange video about nuclear weapons contrast against the horrific outcomes in Japan, but that seemed to be more of a personal video entry expressing a deep concern about nuclear weapons from her own perspectives.  I said it was weird when I saw it, but I put that expression into the context of ‘surfboard Tulsi‘, the DNI peacenik. No biggie.

However, with the Israel -v- Iran conflict encompassing the White House, there is a transparent objective to weaponize Tulsi Gabbard’s activity as a contrast against President Trump supporting military conflict in Iran.

This contrast is being stimulated by the same elements who want to see her removed for the reasons noted above.

The latest narrative du jour in the files includes:

WASHINGTON DC – […] Trump has increasingly mused about nixing Gabbard’s office completely, an idea he floated when he gave her the job. In the White House there have been discussions about folding its mandate into the CIA or another agency, according to one of the people familiar with his response to the video and two others familiar with the matter — though it’s unclear what that would mean for Gabbard. The Director of National Intelligence serves as the president’s principal intelligence adviser and oversees the sprawling U.S. spy community. (link)

First, “nixing Gabbard’s office completely” is exactly what the bad elements of the Intelligence Community would love to see.  Second, “folding its mandate into the CIA” is like a dream come true for the darkest elements of the IC and Senate enablers. And Third, “serves as the president’s principal intelligence adviser” is false.  That’s the job of the National Security Advisor, Marco Rubio.

If there is one hope amid this looming and increasing drumbeat to remove her, it is that Marco Rubio likely can see exactly what the motives and intentions are from his former colleagues.  The elements targeting DNI Gabbard all come from SSCI Chairman Marco Rubio’s old tribe.

SoS/NSA Rubio might save her, as too may Vice President JD Vance.  Both of them are at the perfect distance to see the assembled drumbeat against Gabbard for what it is, a coordinated Intelligence Community operation.  At least that is my hope.

I am not confident they will succeed removing her.  However, what I am confident about is that if DNI Tulsi Gabbard is removed, she will not be replaced, and that’s as good as a win for the bad actors trying to target and survive Trump.

President Trump has no more juice or influence in the Senate.  That time is over.  Trump has exhausted all of the political capital he held in the upper chamber.  Every Republican Senator now smiles, nods and does whatever the heck they want regardless of how it impacts President Trump.  This is especially true for the SSCI who would control confirmation of a DNI replacement.  They Republicans do not have to pretend any longer, Trump’s juice is gone.

If President Trump allows the Brutus crew in his orbit to isolate, ridicule and marginalize Tulsi Gabbard, he will be putting a significant part of his administration at risk.  This is the Six Ways from Sunday crowd.

Powell Blames Trump Tariffs for Coming Inflation

I repeatedly warned that the headlines would blame Trump tariffs for the incoming inflationary wave. Jerome Powell stated that “uncertainty is unusually elevated” as a result of tariffs, adding, “someone has to pay for the tariffs.”

“Ultimately, the cost of the tariff has to be paid, and some of it will fall on the end consumer,” he told reporters, noting that many retailers are only now replacing pre-tariff inventory. “We do expect to see more of that over the course of the summer.” This is a complete misread of the economic landscape based on antiquated economic principles.

Tariffs are taxes that are passed on to consumers. However, Powell is confusing a one-time price adjustment with a monetary-driven inflationary wave that began after the pandemic. The Fed is looking at the situation through a domestic lens while ignoring the international monetary crisis that is unfolding. We are experiencing a drastic shift away from public confidence worldwide, and that is causing capital to lose confidence in governments that are already deeply indebted.

The Fed is terrified of crashing the bond market if it hikes too fast, and equally terrified of sparking a dollar collapse if it cuts too soon. Government debt is no longer viewed as a safe haven. The computer has been warning that the sovereign debt crisis cannot be ignored for much longer. The Fed can no longer control inflation through interest rates. That was a Keynesian principle established when the government was not the largest borrower. Raising interest rates can have no impact on demand, as the government will simply borrow more, and the central banks simply have no say.

There is no limit to what the government will spend with “money” that simply does not exist. Governments continue to borrow perpetually with no real intention of paying back their debts. This is one piece of the Sovereign Debt Crisis that will implode like a nuclear bomb the likes of which we have never witnessed. The business cycle cannot be manipulated, and what’s more, the Keynesian model cannot account for declining confidence in both government and the economy.

Democrats Wage War on ICE Agents

California legislators wish to create a lawless state that empowers criminals posing as political activists. The Department of Homeland Security reported that attacks on ICE agents in Los Angeles have increased by 413% in recent weeks. Twelve LAPD officers were injured in riots across the city on No Kings Day. Criminals are throwing Molotov cocktails and rocks at civil servants paid to enforce the law, and worse, countless pages on the internet are dedicated to doxxing agents. California Democrats are now demanding that law enforcement agents remove facial coverings to enable these criminals to be clearly identified.

State Sen. Scott Wiener, a Democrat representing San Francisco, and State Sen. Jesse Arreguin, a Democrat representing Berkeley and Oakland, declared that civilians cannot decipher law enforcement agents from vigilante militia groups, although no such groups have been reported. The lawmakers are presenting legislation that would require all law enforcement agents to remove any facial coverings and display their name or other identifier on their uniform. Failure to comply could result in criminal misdemeanor charges.

Todd Lyons, ICE’s acting director, explained that this measure would endanger the lives of his officers. “I’m sorry if people are offended by them wearing masks, but I’m not going to let my officers and agents go out there and put their lives on the line, their family on the line because people don’t like what immigration enforcement is,” he stated.

Who are the Democrats protecting? The first large ICE raid in June resulted in the arrests of 118 illegal aliens, including five gang members, and people with prior convictions for drug smuggling, child abuse, domestic violence, robbery, alien smuggling, and assault. On June 6, 2025, when the ICE raids began, over 1,000 rioters surrounded the LAPD office, defaced taxpayer-funded property, slashed the tires of police cruisers, and attempted to break into the building. It took the LAPD two long hours to respond to the threat. This is one of countless incidents of brutality against police officers occurring throughout the state.

The DHS released a report clearly identifying the instigators. “These riots in Los Angeles and increased assaults on ICE officers come after Democrat politicians, including Hakeem Jeffries, Mayor Wu of Boston, Tim Walz, and Mayor Bass of Los Angeles, have villainized and demonized ICE law enforcement.” Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin noted that these politicians have released a slew of propaganda “glorifying rioters” and portraying police and ICE agents as “modern-day Nazi gestapo.”

Doxxing is a practice where a person’s personal information is released online. Online forums are dedicated to identifying ICE agents and releasing their personal information including home addresses, names of family members, and in some instances, where their children attend school.

The Democrats have become violent extremists. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) has encouraged doxxing practices. “We’re going to make sure that the American people have the transparency necessary to hold people accountable,” he stated, adding to the Nazi rhetoric that 2025 is not the 1930s. “Every single ICE agent who’s engaged in this aggressive overreach and are trying to hide their identities from the American people will be unsuccessful in doing that,” Jeffries said.

Border czar Tom Homan said that assaults and doxxing on ICE officials is at an all-time high across the nation. States like Florida and Tennessee are introducing anti-doxxing legislation to protect officers. Florida plans to conduct routine patrols and check-ins to ensure the safety of law enforcement agents and their families. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) had to act quickly after the mayor of Nashville publicly shared the names of ICE officials involved in a recent sting. Such a move could not result in five years imprisonment.

Republicans were accused of inciting violence on one particular day in January four years ago. Yet, not a single Republican called for violence or encouraged disorder. The Democrats are openly opposing federal orders, encouraging violent riots and attacks on civil servants, and creating the grounds for civil war. Innocent lives are at risk as a direct result of this political propaganda, and for some reason, Democratic lawmakers are above the law. Civil unrest in America has heightened to outright violent pandemonium, and civilians who support conservative causes will be the next victims.

New York City Comptroller Brad Lander Attempts to Block ICE Apprehension, Promptly Arrested

Hopefully these are the political stunts that will force the reluctant hand of Attorney General Pam Bondi to intervene.  Criminal arrests and federal prosecutions of politicians pulling these stunts are needed.

New York City Comptroller Brad Lander locked arms with an illegal alien as immigrations officials were removing the target for deportation.  Lander purposefully interfered in a federal apprehension of a criminal alien, and should be prosecuted.

The media are selectively showing a portion of the video after Lander is handcuffed by police.  However, in the earlier segment below you can clearly see Mr Lander intentionally locking arms with the target in an effort to stop ICE enforcement from taking custody.  WATCH:

Judicial warrants are not required to apprehend and deport illegal aliens.

NEW YORK — New York City mayoral candidate Brad Lander was handcuffed and detained by federal agents Tuesday afternoon while escorting migrants from immigration hearings in Lower Manhattan.

Footage and video of the hectic incident is firing up the third-place candidate’s suddenly energetic campaign, as he shows himself taking on an issue that’s central to President Donald Trump’s political agenda.

“I’m not obstructing, I’m standing right here in the hallway. I asked to see the judicial warrant,” the candidate says in the video.

Lander, the New York City comptroller, was at 26 Federal Plaza in downtown Manhattan on Tuesday morning to observe an immigration hearing when he walked out of the courtroom locking arms with a Yoruba-speaking immigrant, according to Lander’s wife, Meg Barnette. (more)
