Why Panera is Excluded from California’s Minimum Wage Hike

California is raising the minimum wage of fast food employees from $16 to $20 under the FAST Act. I have explained that raises to California’s minimum wage was restricted due to successful lobbying efforts on behalf of fast food establishments. The new law does include commercial fast food restaurants, excluding Panera Bread. Why?

Fast food lobbyists spent $4 million in the first six months of this year to prevent the California Accountability Bill from passing. The bill would hold franchisees and their parent companies jointly liable for the treatment of workers. California Governor Gavin Newsom claimed that minimum wage jobs were not meant for students of people looking to gain employment experience. “That’s a romanticized version of a world that doesn’t exist,” Newsom said. “We have the opportunity to reward that contribution, reward that sacrifice and stabilize an industry.”

A fast-food bill was passed in September 2022 that set the minimum wage to $22 per hour for select chains with over 100 locations, later expanding to a $20 minimum pay for restaurants with 60 locations. Now California is specifically exempting fast food establishments that contain bakeries, such as Panera Bread. Why are restaurants that sell bread above the law?

The answer is that politicians are always up for sale to the highest bidder. Glenn Flynn is the largest fast food franchise owner in America with an empire of 2,600 restaurant locations that produce around $.45 billion in sales. Flynn, estimated to be worth around $1.1 billion, has strongly supported Gavin Newsom publicly since 2014, when Newsom was a lieutenant governor. Both men attended the same high school and have longstanding ties.

Bloomberg reported that Flynn donated $64,800 to Newsom’s personal re-election campaign and an additional $100,000 for conservative-led recall efforts. Flynn’s holdings in California only include two establishments – Applebee’s and Panera Bread. Applebee’s is exempt from the law despite its pre-frozen dishes since it is a sit-down restaurant chain. Panera Bread, on the other hand, is exempt due to this specific loophole that only excludes establishments that bake bread. This is what happens when lobbying is permitted and politicians are for sale.

Crying over the Supreme Court Decision – Get Over It

Crying

Some critics are obviously anti-Trump who have come out crying that’s really unusual for the Court to give such little notice that they would release a decision. They are indeed crying that this was because of Super Tuesday and therefore they are trying to support Trump.

Let me explain something here to these absolutely biased idiots. Let’s say the Supreme Court waited until May or June to release its decision, and you have Colorado, Maine, and Illinois who blocked Trump. Then what would happen? The entire 2024 election might be seriously impacted and then challenged in court in another array of suits. They had to rule, and it was UNANIMOUS before Super Tuesday to avoid a constitutional crisis. EVERYONE on the court agreed – Colorado had no such jurisdiction – PERIOD!

GET OVER IT!

THIS WAS NOT A 5-4 DECISION

IT WAS UNANIMOUS

Trump v Anderson My Amicus Brief-F

As I wrote in my Amicus Brief to the Supreme Court, the last time any state refused to allow a candidate on the ballot was 1860 when Abraham Lincoln did not appear on the ballots in the South. What followed? The Civil War.

The Founding Fathers never intended to allow a rogue state to interfere in either national commerce or national federal elections, as implied in the Commerce Clause, Article 1, Section 8, Clause
3 of the U.S. Constitution. Could Colorado remove a senator or congressman of another state claiming that they were part of the January 6th event they called an unarmed insurrection? There is no jurisdiction for a single state to remove a national candidate from the ballot – PERIOD! Assuming such power would mean they too could interfere in the commerce of other states. That would lead to complete chaos. Even Sotomayor, the favorite of the Democrats, wrote clearly:

“Allowing Colorado to do so would, we agree, create a chaotic state-by-state patchwork, at odds with our Nation’s federalism principles. That is enough to resolve this case.”

Brainwash Menticide

Anyone who cannot see that is so biased; they no longer have a functioning brain cell. They have been so brainwashed, they are no longer competent even to vote. We are either a nation with a national identity or a patchwork of states that no longer should pretend to be united.

Lukashenko

ANSWER: Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, who is up for re-election in 2025, signed a law in January that grants him lifelong immunity from criminal prosecution. Lukashenko “cannot be held accountable for actions committed in connection with exercising his presidential powers” under the new legislation. Undoubtedly, this law was propelled by America’s persecution of Donald Trump and other world leaders who are not adhering to Western policies.

The war in Ukraine has place Lukashenko under pressure once again due to Belarus aiding neighboring Russia. The nations strategic placement bordering both Ukraine and Russia has made it a strategic stronghold for Russian troops, and more importantly, nuclear weapons. Belarus remained neutral during the 2014 Crimean conflict and attempted to act as a mediator between Ukraine and Russia.

Lukashenko has faced countless controversies during his 30-year reign. The August 2020 Belarusian election sparked massive civil unrest as many of his opponents believed the election was rigged in his favor. Russia aided Belarus during the 2020 political upheaval that saw tens of thousands of protestors arrested. Belarus had fallen out of the West’s good graces long ago, but its COVID response prompted further distain from the Build Back Better, World Economic Forum allied nations. Lukashenko’s government was one of the last to impost restrictions and those restrictions were far more lenient than the guidelines presented by world health agencies.

Most importantly, Belarus did not implement mandatory vaccinations for COVID. Lukashenka was accused of human rights abuses as his nation held the lowest vaccination rate in all of Europe with fewer than 21.2% of the population receiving the mRNA vaccine. The vaccine was available, but people were not threatened or coerced into taking it. Taking it a step further, his administration did not trust the vaccines produced in the West and only offered varieties provided by Russia and China. Lukashenka called the pandemic response a “mass psychosis,” refused to lockdown his people, and suggested holistic methods opposed to the vaccine.

The West has imposed numerous sanctions on Belarus for aiding Russia, but the economic impact has been cushioned by Moscow’s willingness to repay its ally with energy subsidies that exceeded $15 billion in 2022. It is in Belarus’ best interest to remain loyal as two-thirds of all imports and exports are with Russia.

I can discuss the Belarus-Russia alliance in further detail if there is interest. To address the original request, President Lukashenko did, in fact, receive a bribe from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank in 2020 to persuade him to impose COVID restrictions. As mentioned in my original post, the president revealed this bribe through the Belarusian Telegraph Agency, BelTA. In exchange for a $940 million bribe, the World Bank and IMF demanded that the president of Belarus:

  • impose “extreme lockdown on his people”
  • force them to wear face masks
  • impose very strict curfews
  • impose a police state
  • crash the economy

These are the president’s own claims. The world health agencies lost legitimacy when Belarusians had a LOWER death rate from COVID-19 than the rest of Europe. Belarus began testing efforts when the technology was available. Those who bought into the psyop refuse to acknowledge that lockdown measures did nothing to stop the spread. People simply do not want to believe that the COVID restrictions were completely unnecessary and only contributed to higher death rates and crippled economies.

Haley win Washington DC which is 98% Democrat – What do You Ecpect

Nikki Haley has finally won none other than the LEFTIST stronghold – Washington, DC. If you get pulled over by a cop there, you may hear that line coming from the new movie Civil War  – What Kind of American Are You?

The Democrats have been funding Haley, and anyone with common sense would end their campaign. So why is Haley going endlessly? Because the word is if the Supreme Court or all the legal cases somehow manage some way to prevent Trump from running or he magically contracts COVID version 35 and dies before November, Haley will take the nomination by default. The Democrats will rejoice along with the Neocons, who will be popping champagne bottles for they will get World War III fully on board.

She has already come out and said she will NOT support Trump if he runs in November. If you have children or grandchildren, their future will be uncertain with Haley as President. Victoria Nuland will rejoice.

The Coming Healthcare Worker Shortage in the US

Posted originally on Mar 4, 2024 By Martin Armstrong

Those outside the US believe we have outstanding health care due to the high price tag associated with every service. Healthcare workers have been leaving the field in droves since the COVID-19 pandemic. The American Association of Medical Colleges believes that there will be a shortage of 122,000 physicians, 400,000 home health aides, and 29,400 nurse practitioners by 2025, but that may be an optimistic forecast.

A friend of mine in the area recently needed stitches after an injury and their nearest Urgent Care facility was closed. The second Urgent Care (America’s version of a smaller hospital) had a sign saying that it would not open until late afternoon due to a staffing shortage. The third Urgent Care facility was closed over the weekend, also likely due to staffing shortages. By the time she found the fourth provider, the wait was multiple hours due to only one physician being on staff that day.

StaffingIssues

These essential care employees are overworked and exhausted. People are less likely to take on hundreds of thousands in student loan debt for a grueling job that they must carefully keep by avoiding litigation while watching patients suffer due to high costs passed down from insurance and drug companies.

Healthcare providers are being replaced through AI programs while others are going remote. Amid hospital closures in small towns, remote nurses and doctors are entering hospital rooms on screen. This means hospital administration can hire fewer people and ask the less experienced employees who cost less to retain to perform crucial functions. The virtual nurse or doctor will not be able to help if the patient codes or something goes wrong.

Nursing job vacancies spiked by 30% from 2019 to 2020 as a direct result of COVID regulations and working conditions. A 2021 Washington Post-Kaiser Family Foundation poll showed that another 30% of healthcare workers considered leaving their profession in general after the pandemic, while 60% said the pandemic negatively affected their mental health. These people were also required to receive the vaccine against their will and promote treatments for the virus that may not have aligned with what they believed to be the best treatments. Estimates vary, but every agency agrees that there will be a serious shortage in the near future. The American Hospital Association believes there will be a shortage of 3.2 million healthcare workers by 2026.

The largest portion of our population is aging and will require health care in the near future. Not many can afford the costs of becoming ill, and sickness remains the leading cause of bankruptcy in the world’s financial capital. An aging population paired with overwhelming staffing shortages will lead to serious trouble in America’s healthcare system in the short term, not to mention the additional 7.2 million and counting new illegal residents who are receiving free health services at the cost of the taxpayer.
