QUESTION: Didn’t Madonna advocate blowing up the White House? You haven’t commented on that.

ANSWER: While Madonna’s speech at the Woman’s March has been touted that she advocated blowing up the White House, that was a bit exaggerated and taken out of context. She said: “Yes I am angry. Yes I am outraged. Yes I have thought a lot about blowing up the White House. But I know this won’t change anything. We cannot fall in despair. As the poet W. H. Auden once wrote on the eve of world war II, we must love one another or die.” Most of the clips stop with White House. That is not really the truth either. This is one reason in a court of law you cannot ever make a joke. Someone asks: “Did you kill your wife?” You jokingly respond: “Oh ya, sure.”  When reduced to a transcript you just confessed.

Scarlett Johansson spoke and defended Planned Parenthood, not for abortion, but for women’s health issues. Yes, the Planned Parenthood rift has created a real firestorm over issues of abortion, targeting minorities for abortion, and selling fetal tissue. However, as always, with government actions, they tend to be all or nothing. Yes, funding abortion involves religious issues that offends some. On the other hand, Planned Parenthood has helped many women not involving abortion. There seems to be corruption in any organization no matter what the subject matter.

The question is can a line be drawn?

The Podesta emails revealed a real anti-Catholic and anti-Evangelic religious position in the Democratic Party. For the party that was founded by the slave owner Andrew Jackson, one must really wonder what lies at the core of their true position.

One must wonder how religion is playing out moving forward. That was a critical issue in the English Civil War led by Oliver Cromwell. What is interesting is that after they beheaded the king, the coinage of England adopted the portrait of Cromwell as if he were the new king.

History seems to be repeating. Will the USA also separate along religious lines as well?

Advocating the overthrow of Government is a Crime

The comedian Sarah Silverman, who spoke at the DNC National Convention for Hillary, tweeted that her 10 million followers should “wake up & join the resistance” to President Donald Trump. She said: “Once the military is w/us fascists get overthrown. Mad king & his handlers go bye bye.”  Silverman should be criminally indicted for that. Of course she will not be. The hate speech against Trump is astounding. Yet they protest saying that Trump is the one with hate speech. What is amazing is the public outcry for the overthrow of the government which is in fact a crime. If I suggest such a thing on this blog they would be storming in the windows. There is clearly a get out of jail free card protecting much of this dissent.

18 U.S. Code § 2385 – Advocating overthrow of Government

Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government; or

Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts to do so; or

Whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any such society, group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes thereof—

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.

If two or more persons conspire to commit any offense named in this section, each shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.

As used in this section, the terms “organizes” and “organize”, with respect to any society, group, or assembly of persons, include the recruiting of new members, the forming of new units, and the regrouping or expansion of existing clubs, classes, and other units of such society, group, or assembly of persons.
