There are a lot of questionable assumptions used to calculate unemployment which in the past didn’t matter as much as the was a large manufacturing base in the country which is no longer there. The available work is not service oriented especially in retail and food service which are no the only places many people can find work. The problem is this work was never meant to be the primary source of a families income. Hence the drive to raise minimum wages which makes things worse as that forces companies to automate to hold costs down.

The Mayor of Dallas, Mike Rawlings, sent a letter on the 29th asking for an immediate suspension of lump-sum withdrawals from the Dallas Police and Fire Pension Fund. There is a run on the pensions because people are realizing that there will be nothing there. The troubled pension fund will be insolvent by 2028 at the current level. The politicians are banking on a taxpayer bailout to save it.
Every Household in California Owes $93,000 to Pay for State Pensions

Stanford University has been tracking the cost of pensions in California. So while there is a movement starting to separate from the United States especially since they wanted Hillary, California will soon fall on its face and then will be begging Washington for a handout. The real amount owed by every household in California to cover state pensions jumped to $93,000 in 2015 up from $77,700 per household in 2014.
California may be the most socialistic state in the union, so expect them to also be among the first to collapse despite being the fifth largest economy in the world if looked at as their own nation. Go ahead – leave; but take your pensions with you please! There are two categories of fools: (1) are those who believe what isn’t true; and (2) those who refuse to believe what is true. Socialists seem to come in both varieties.
Millions of Socialists, have murdered and killed those who disagree with them. The opponents of Marxism have been burnt, tortured, fined, and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards this mythical land of perfect harmony and utopia. The net result has only been war and conflict and to prove that one half the world is composed of fools and hypocrites who just want to be taken care-of, yet willing to surrender their independence while pretending to be independent.

Trump Dines with Mitt! Eating Crow? or Not!

The Phenomenon of Mitt Romney Dining with Trump: Eating Crow? or Not!
The nature of politics revolves around the personalities of the individuals pandering for public attention and if victorious; acquiescing to the demands of the job.
Easier said than done!
As I look at the picture of Mitt Romney sitting at the table of some fashionable three star restaurant located in one of Trump’s buildings, I wonder whether Mitt has understood the full meaning of his so-called “reconciliation”. Trump is clearly shown that he is a man who loves to compete and win. Yet, if he so desires, he can be merciful/forgiving.
Mitt is born to both the political/financial manor. His mother and father were remarkable people in their ascendancy into the forefront of both the Mormon theocracy and the American political mainstream. Mitt’s decision to meet with Trump after a vicious series of personal attacks on both sides; underscores an interesting dynamic of political defeat and reconciliation.

Mitt’s father, George Romney, the highly successful CEO of American Motors ran against Nixon in 1968 and was opposed to the Vietnam War. After losing the race, he decided to accept Nixon’s gracious offer to become US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in June 1970.The key to this unusual reconciliation lies in the dynamic within the moderate Republican Party that all fights are buried within the confines of “It’s all in the family!”
I have a feeling that both Trump and Priebus went back to their history books to recall this exemplary moment of Nixonian reconciliation. I commend all parties in this dinner scene for burying their respective hatchets and proceeding with the work of running the USG.
In the words of the famous mob boss, Bonaparte, in the Billy Wilder film, “Some Like It Hot”:
“Now some people say he’s gotten too big for his spats. But I say, he’s a man who will go far. But I say, you can’t keep a good man down. Of course, he’s still got a lot to learn…”
Then Bonaparte concludes with these words:
“… to err is human, to forgive is divine!”

Propaganda – How Bad American Press Has Become

The release of Newsweek’s now famous Madam President before the election was decided is a mistake that is not intentional. “Dewey Defeats Truman” was another major mistake when the Chicago Daily Tribune on November 3, 1948, announced Truman lost to Dewey. The paper became famous when it was held up by Truman at a public appearance following his successful election, smiling triumphantly at the error. Trump should do the same for history with Newsweek, who printed 125,000 copies, and then recalled them. The asking price has been for $95 to $1,000 a copy.
However, the content of this magazine is venomous that demonstrates how bad the propaganda has become in its attempt to brainwash the public. It not only said that Hillary took the high road when she did not running a constant negative campaign, but then Newsweek called the people who supported Trump “deplorables” who asked for the 19th Amendment to be repealed, which prohibits any United States citizen from being denied the right to vote on the basis of sex. Never in all the mud-slinging in this campaign did I ever hear anyone say that women should be denied the right to vote. Who made up this outright lie?
What was truly amazing is that, despite the evolution of propaganda mediums over the centuries, the central methodologies and motivations remain the same. Propaganda is still the tool for spreading messages and influencing opinion often to justify war or Marxist agendas. Propaganda has never been used to benefit society. It has been a vital exercise in the spreading and consolidation of power.
Wartime propaganda has been used in, if not all, of the major wars. One of the first known uses of war propaganda was employed by Alexander the Great. After being forced to retreat in a battle, Alexander realized he could not show he was weak and had to retreat. Instead, he used propaganda to intimidate the opposing army. Alexander’s army made oversized armor and helmets and left them behind as they retreated. His intent was that the opposing army would be intimidated and not pursue his army because the oversized armor made Alexander’s army look like giants (Labash, 20 Dec, 2001).
Politicians routinely use children for propaganda. They bring in the children to hide the motive of legislation that whenever the government is doing something shady. This is standard operating procedure and whenever you see any politician signing some bill surrounded by children, read the fine print.
They used children to sell the idea of letting in millions of refugees into Europe when 60% were your males not even from Syria. Children are a fantastic propaganda tool. They pull at the heart-strings of the average person. So always beware when you see any story that uses children to sell an idea. You know they are up to something.
