Maximum Antagonism – Judge Sullivan Files Order Dragging Out Flynn Case Past Election…

The minute order filed by Judge Emmet Sullivan outlines a protracted time-frame for the next sequence of events in the case against Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn:

As noted in the order, Sullivan is now telling the DOJ and Flynn defense to file a joint status report outlining their “recommendation for further proceedings” by September 21, 2020.  From there a briefing schedule which will require both parties to respond to Sullivan’s personal amicus (Gleeson), and additionally respond jointly to any other amicus not ordered by the court.   Lastly, Sullivan is requesting three dates for oral arguments.

In essence, despite his ability to quickly convene the parties to settle all matters before the court; which includes the unopposed motion by the DOJ and defense to drop the case; Sullivan intends to drag this case out as long as possible and use the amicus as a tool forcing responses from both parties (DOJ and Flynn).  So much for the “quick dispatch” outlined within the DC Circuit opinion, this case is going on for several more months.

Kerri Kupec Discusses Ongoing DOJ/FBI Investigative Efforts of Coordinated Domestic Political Violence..

DOJ Spokesperson Kerri Kupek appears with Martha MacCallum to discuss the ongoing DOJ and FBI efforts to track, trace and identify the groups and individuals carrying out domestic political violence.

Ms. Kupek focuses discussion on FBI investigative efforts to follow the funding mechanism and money trail behind violent groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

.

Personal Note – Ms. Kerri Kupek is a committed, solid and professional person representing the institution of the DOJ and her immediate boss, Attorney General Bill Barr. As such Kupec is not obtuse, intellectually disingenuous or prone to subject avoidance; however, she is also representing a flawed and fractured institution that still contains considerable elements of corruption.

A precarious position…

Rules are For Proles – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Defies COVID Rules, Privately Visits Hair Salon…

Comrades, those who create the COVID rules will never actually comply with the COVID rules; the reason,… they know the COVID rules are about control, not a virus.

Today House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visits a hair salon: …”owner Erica Kious said that Pelosi had an appointment with a stylist who rents space in the Union Street salon.

“It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work,” Kious reportedly said about Pelosi. (read more)

President Trump Remarks Surveying Riot Damage in Kenosha, Wisconsin – Video and Transcript…

Earlier today President Trump toured areas of Kenosha, Wisconsin, where Joe Biden allied rioters and looters destroyed businesses.  During his tour President Trump puts a face to the frustration and toll felt by the people within the community.  The President then paused to deliver remarks to the media. [Video and Transcript Below]

.

[Transcript] – THE PRESIDENT: So, this store was here 109 years. Just about the oldest in the nation, doing what you do.

MR. RODE: It’s the oldest in the state for sure.

THE PRESIDENT: Yeah. That’s fantastic.  And we’re going to help them a lot. I think we’re going to help them a lot. Would you like to say something?

MR. RODE: I just appreciate President Trump coming today; everybody here does. We’re so thankful that we got the federal troops in to help because once they got here, things did calm down quite a bit. And our city police and sheriff and fire departments are awesome. They worked harder than you can believe, 24/7.

THE PRESIDENT: That’s true. These gentlemen did a fantastic job working —

MR. RODE: Fantastic job.

THE PRESIDENT: — working with the federal government, and it was really great. And once we said, “Let’s go,” that was the end of it.

Unfortunately, they had a few days when people wouldn’t call us. They didn’t want to have us come in. They just don’t want us to come in, and then destruction is done. A day earlier, we would’ve saved your store.

MR. RODE: Absolutely.

THE PRESIDENT: One day earlier.

MR. RODE: One day earlier.

THE PRESIDENT: So, the governors have to call, the mayors have to call. As soon as they call, the federal government will come in; it’ll put it out.

You take — the ultimate example is Portland. It’s been terrible for a long time — for many decades, actually. I read a story — 50 years. But you take a look what’s been happening for the last 94 days. We would put it out within one hour. It would take one hour, maybe less. And that’s really what happened here.

And it happened in Minneapolis also. Came in — it went for nine days. And we came in; it ended almost from the minute we came in. But these governors don’t want to call. The mayors don’t want to call. And they have to call, and they have to ask.

I want to thank — Bill Barr is here some place. Bill, thank you very much. And a man that just got a very strong promotion in a sense — Chad is here.

So, we’re going to have some meetings. We’re going to meet with some of the owners, and then we’re going to have a roundtable. I think you’re going to be there.

But we’re going to work with you. We’re going to help you. Okay? We’ll help you rebuild. It’s a great area. It’s a great state. This should never happen. A thing like this should never happen. They have to call early.

Okay, thank you. I’ll see you over there. Thank you very much.

Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot: AG Bill Barr Announces Intent to Codify, Permanently, a Two-Tiered Justice System for FISA…

The Department of Justice announces “Reform and Oversight” of the FBI [SEE HERE]

However, this ¹second memorandum is just mind-blowing from the perspective of someone around the table at Main Justice not saying to the United States Attorney General:

…Um, sir, you do realize a different set of FISA rules and surveillance regulations for politicians, advisors and their staff means you are codifying a two-tiered system within the administration of justice, right?

The Biden Approved Riots

Save America- Vote Trump 2020

The far left Democrats have for a long time controlled most of America’s big cities, and now they’ve aided in their decline and destruction. Many Democrats on city councils want to cut funding for their police departments, or eliminate the police altogether.

Joe Biden claims he’s against the violence taking place in the big cities, but he’s also kissed the collectivist ring of the socialist Democrats who are taking over his party.

We should also remember that Biden one criticized many young black Americans as ‘fatherless predators.’ He helped make sure more black Americans were put in the prison industrial complex, where they worked for a pittance. In a way, Biden made them slaves.

The ‘peaceful’ protests continue to heat up. My advice is for any pro-Trump people to avoid going into the cities. Avoid confrontations. Those cities and their sports teams are a lost cause. Many of the ‘protestors’ are paid to do it as well as create racial division. And, of course, all the socialist Democrats blame Trump. That’s what they do. For example, Castro always blamed Cuba’s problems on the USA.

If the Bolsheviks decide to move out to the suburbs and try to loot and burn there, it’s time for Americans to fight back. The Democrats want to defund the police causing American patriots to step in to defend their homes.

US Firms Move Supply Chains Out of China, Explore Options Closer to Home

Re-Posted from The Epoch Times BY EMEL AKAN  August 31, 2020 Updated: August 31, 2020

WASHINGTON—The U.S.–China trade war and the COVID-19 pandemic have forced companies to reduce their excessive dependence on China as a single supplier.

U.S. brands have started to explore sourcing options closer to home, with Latin and South America gaining significant traction in recent months, according to a survey by Qima, a Hong Kong-based supply chain inspection company.

The survey conducted in July among more than 200 businesses around the world found that respondents are increasingly moving their sourcing away from China. Ninety-three percent of U.S. respondents reported that they had plans to further diversify their supply chains. Meanwhile, less than half of EU respondents had a similar strategy.

China is still a major global player for sourcing, however, its dominance has become “noticeably less dramatic” compared to prior years, according to a Qima report that shows key survey findings.

For example, 75 percent of respondents globally named China among the top 3 sourcing geographies this year, compared to an overwhelming 96 percent in 2019.

Many companies especially those in textile and apparel have made supplier diversification a priority for a while, with Vietnam continuing to gain popularity as an alternative to China.

“Consistently ranking among China’s regional competitors, Vietnam continues to reap the most benefits of the continued mass exodus of Western buyers from China, with 40 percent of EU respondents and almost as many U.S. brands including Vietnam among their top sourcing regions,” the report stated.

Among other Asian countries, Taiwan is emerging “an indisputable leader” as it enjoys overwhelming preference as a sourcing market among American companies.

The pandemic has also accelerated the need to reshore supply lines to the United States or near-shore to Latin and South America.

“For U.S.-based companies, sourcing destinations closer to their home country continue to grow steadily, with the popularity of Latin and South America almost doubling compared to last year,” the Qima report stated.

The survey found that 39 percent of U.S.-based companies indicated plans to source more from the United States and North America and 13 percent from South and Latin America.

“Meanwhile, EU brands are increasingly turning to Turkey as a near-shoring destination,” the report stated.

For decades, most large U.S. multinational corporations have heavily invested in facilities and human resources in China to gain access to the Chinese market, and they have already given up their intellectual property as a price of entry.

However, the pandemic, coupled with the souring sentiment against the Chinese communist regime over the past few months, has forced many corporate boards to dramatically alter their sourcing strategies.

Supply chain sustainability also has become a hot political topic as the November election approaches.

President Donald Trump pledged to end U.S. reliance on China and bring back 1 million manufacturing jobs in his second term. He recently proposed providing tax credits and allowing “100 percent expensing deductions for essential industries like pharmaceuticals and robotics” to incentivize companies to produce in the United States.

Trump also signed an executive order on Aug. 6 to ensure that essential medicines, medical supplies, and equipment are made in the United States.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic nominee, also pledged to “bring back critical supply chains.” He promised to “bolster American industrial and technological strength and ensure the future is ‘made in all of America’ by all of America’s workers.”

In the past two decades, China has become a crucial global supplier. According to the United Nations, China accounts for nearly 20 percent of global trade in manufacturing intermediate products, up from 4 percent in 2002.
