Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) appears with Lou Dobbs tonight to discuss the importance of the declassification directive from President Trump. Within the FISA application section Jordan says important information used to compile the dossier alleging Trump campaign ties to Russia were kept from the FISA court.
Debra Katz is the lawyer for the accuser, Christine Blasey Ford. She writes a letter to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley today demanding an FBI investigation prior to any testimony from her client. The drama-filled motive here continues to be transparent:
Beyond the narrative engineering, NBC’s Ken Dilanian is reporting from his mutually aligned sources inside the DOJ and FBI. The basic outline is the embed officials within the DOJ, FBI and larger intelligence community, are not happy about the White House declassification directive. Why would they be?….
These are the same DOJ and FBI officials who, without justification, redacted the Lisa Page and Peter Strzok text messages.
Senior executives at the FBI, Justice Department and Office of the Director of National intelligence were scrambling Tuesday to respond after being taken by surprise by a White House press release Monday directing them to release classified material they had previously determined should not be made public. (more)
The biggest mistake people make is not accepting the influence of the worker-bee career officials, operating under the leadership structure, within the bureaucracy.
Because many people do not take this into account, a tremendous amount of false-theory is cited. “Trust the plan” is perhaps the most well-known proclamation that flows as an outcropping.
There is no “plan”; there are only “goals”.
Many of the corrupt lower-level officials within the administrative state have goals in conflict with with sunlight and truthful discovery. Other officials, like FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, have more specific goals to protect their institutions. Because the preservation of the institution is the primary focus, their goals may therefore align with the more openly corrupt officials.
This is the nature of political bureaucracy. It is not a grand conspiracy, it is more often ordinary corruption. However, failure to accept this simple truism leads to cognitive dissonance, intellectual dishonesty and, even worse, creates a false perception of what is possible.
Absorb information without rational and logical discernment long enough, and you get ridiculous “Q Theories” and proclamations about grand “Stealth Jeff Sessions” plans.
AG Jeff Sessions is recused from anything to do with corruption within the 2016 election, operation ‘spygate’, operation ‘crossfire hurricane’, and the Russia investigation. The same career OLC lawyers within the system convinced Sessions of his conflicts, and have carved the Attorney General out of the investigative processes within the DOJ.
AG Sessions did not plan with President Trump for the declassification directive. Sessions is recused:
Tashina “Tash” Gauhar – Yes, the DOJ/FBI lawyer at the heart of the Clinton-email investigation; the DOJ/FBI lawyer hired by Eric Holder at his firm and later at the DOJ; the DOJ/FBI lawyer who was transferred to the Clinton probe; the DOJ/FBI lawyer at the epicenter of the Weiner laptop issues, the only one from MYE who spoke to New York; the DOJ/FBI lawyer who constructs the FISA applications on behalf of Main Justice;…. just happens to be the same DOJ/FBI lawyer recommending to AG Jeff Sessions that he recuse himself….
But wait, do you notice how Dana Boente (former interim head of DOJ-NSD) was participating with Peter Strzok’s lead DOJ aide “Tash” Gauhar in the discussion which recommended Attorney General Jeff Sessions should be recused? Sessions’ official announcement came immediately after this meeting on March 2nd, 2017.
Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente retired from the DOJ in October 2017. In January 2018, amid the beginning of the sunlight furor upon the FBI, Director Christopher Wray re-hired Dana Boente as Chief Legal Counsel for the FBI.
When all those FBI lawyers are showing up with Lisa Page, Peter Strzok and Bruce Ohr during committee hearings, and telling them not to answer questions about their contacts with the media etc. who is in charge of those FBI lawyers? The same Dana Boente.
The officials within the system of the administrative state are protecting the administrative state from scrutiny. This protectionist outlook transfers to the Inspector General, and was evidenced in how the “summary of findings” within the IG reports did not match the details of fact within 600+ pages of evidence.
Rational discernment and the application of common sense logic is important when evaluating the battle inside the executive branch of government. The institutions of the FBI and DOJ appear to have been thoroughly corrupted by political operatives; and more extreme ideologues were rewarded and promoted during the prior administration.
Many of those politicized officials within the system are still present. The election changes the leadership, but the underlying organizational corruption remains, albeit under new management.
If the goal of management to save the institution is stronger than the goal to take the institution down to brass-tacks, eliminate corruption and rebuild, then the corrupt elements are able to survive the leadership change. By all measures, this is the current status of the FBI and DOJ.
Because the corruption happened during their tenure, current officials within the FBI, DOJ and much of the larger intelligence apparatus, are not in alignment with the reform goals demanded by change-agent President Trump. Their goal is to fight Trump’s goals.
“It must be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to manage than a new system. For the initiator has the enmity of all who would profit by the preservation of the old institution and merely lukewarm defenders in those who gain by the new ones.”
Throughout a period from June 2017 through May 2018, CTH was optimistic the Cabinet Leadership within the DOJ and FBI would accept the scale of corruption within their institutions and embrace reform. However, as more and more tripwires were crossed; and with the scale of the corruption even more visible; and with the calendar moving forward without any action; we were forced to accept the goals of AG Sessions, DAG Rosenstein and Director Wray were not reform goals – they are preservation goals.
The lack of action from the release of the prior two IG reports; the inability of the FBI to even acknowledge the severity within the May 2018 report on FBI misconduct; and the compounded issues surrounding the DOJ and FBI approach toward admitted classified intelligence leaker James Wolfe; leads only to one possible conclusion. The downstream consequences of the corruption are so entirely devastating, the sunlight is actually a risk – and must therefore be ‘managed’.
Conversely, outside the executive branch there are voices in congress holding no vested interest in the systemic corruption, and therefore they are in alignment with President Trump’s demands.
The executive branch is holding Trump hostage and trying to wait out the election hopeful to have a change in congressional power. This preserves their institutions and executes their goals. It is the legislative branch who are trying to help the President and force the officials within the cabinet to admit the corruption.
Earlier today President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed the President of the Republic of Poland and Mrs. Kornhauser-Duda to the White House in advance of bilateral talks between the two leaders and a press conference. Oval Office Remarks:
.
[Transcript] Oval Office – 12:26 P.M. EDT – PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, thank you very much. It’s a great honor to have President and Mrs. Duda of Poland in the Oval Office and the White House.
We’ve had a great relationship. As you know, about a year ago, I went and we made a speech in Poland, and it was really a very special day. It was a great day for our countries.
I’ll never forget the reception we got — how beautiful it was, how tremendous the people of Poland are. And I will certainly never forget the crowds. They stretched 10 blocks long, down the roadways, and they were all over. We had just tremendous crowds, because I think that’s really a sign of affection for the United States by the people of Poland.
So the relationship between the President and myself has been outstanding, and it’s really, I think, gotten even better between our countries. And I just want to say that, on behalf of the United States, it’s an honor to have you both.
Thank you very much. Thank you.
PRESIDENT DUDA: Thank you very much, Excellency. We are very happy to be here. And thank you for your kind invitation, and especially thank you for your great, unforgettable speech in Warsaw that was very moving for the Polish people. And you talked about the Warsaw Uprising and all of these very important moment in our history.
So thank you very much, once again, because it was — it was wonderful.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, we have a tremendous relationship on trade. We’re doing a lot of trade, a lot of security, obviously. We talk about the pipeline going to Germany, where Germany is paying billions and billions of dollars to Russia, which, frankly, we dont think that’s appropriate. I never thought it was appropriate. I think it’s ridiculous. And I think it’s certainly a very bad thing for the people of Germany. I’ve said it very loud and clear.
But we discuss that, and we’ll be discussing various other things. But trade is going to be a big factor today, and security.
So I want to thank you all for being here. Thank you. Thank you.
Q Mr. President, will you say yes to a U.S. permanent base in Poland?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, I think we’re going to be discussing that. Poland is willing to make a very major contribution for the United States to come in and have a presence in Poland, and certainly it’s something we’ll discuss. If they’re willing to do that, it’s something we will certainly talk about.
Q Are you convinced that there should be a permanent base in Poland?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, we’re looking at it very seriously. I know Poland likes the idea very much. And it’s something that we are considering, yes.
Q Mr. President, on China, are you still considering the $267 billion in tariffs — the additional $267 billion?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: So we’re having a tremendous impact on China. As you know, we’re doing a very good job with China. China has been taking advantage of the United States for a long time, and that’s not happening anymore. We can’t let that happen.
I have a great relationship with President Xi; he’s a friend of mine. But we can’t — you know, I’ve been telling him, we can’t let it happen. So we may make a deal at some point, but right now, we just imposed $200 billion at 25 percent. We — it just went on. It actually kicks in on January 1st at 25 percent. It starts off at 10 percent, but shortly thereafter, it goes to 25.
And if there’s a retaliation against our farmers and our industrial workers, our ranchers, if any of that goes on, we’re going to kick in another $257 billion. And that will be also at 25 percent. We dont want to do it, but we probably — we’ll have no choice.
So we’ll see what happens. But we’re making a lot of headway with China. China wants to come over and talk, and we are always open to talking. But we have to do something. We have a tremendous trade imbalance with China, tremendous trade deficit. And the way I look at it: Last year, we lost over $500 billion to China. We can’t do that. I dont want to do that. And that’s been going on for many years. Other Presidents should have taken care of this situation, and they didnt. But I’m going to.
Yes.
Q Sanctions on companies involved in Nord Stream II — Russia and Germany — project?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: We’re not looking to do that. We just think it’s very unfortunate for the people of Germany that Germany is paying billions and billions of dollars a year for their energy to Russia. And I can tell you the German people dont like it.
Q What about the visa — the waiver program for Poland?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: We’re looking at that very strongly.
Q Mr. President, you have 10 million Polish Americans in the United States. You were in Chicago —
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Say it? I can’t hear you.
Q There are about 10 million Polish Americans in the United States —
PRESIDEN TRUMP: Yeah.
Q You were in Chicago two years ago — a great meeting. So when are you returning to Chicago? And will you —
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Did you say it was cut off? It was cut off?
Q It was great.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: What is he referring to, Mr. President?
PRESIDENT DUDA: The visa waiver program, I think.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: We love the people of Poland coming to the United States in any way, shape, or form. Okay? Does that answer your question?
Q Yes — (inaudible).
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Any way, shape, or form. It’s our honor.
Q Mr. President, how long of a delay is acceptable, sir, on the hearings for Judge Kavanaugh? There’s some discussion that the accuser may not be coming in on Monday? How long of a delay —
PRESIDENT TRUMP: I mean, I think it’s a great question, frankly. We are looking to get this done as quickly as possible. He is a truly outstanding person, as you know. Hes got an unblemished record. This is a terrible thing that took place, and it’s, frankly, a terrible thing that this information wasnt given to us a long time ago, months ago, when they got it. They could have done that, instead of waiting until everything was finished, and then all of a sudden spring it. But that’s what the Democrats do. That’s what they do. It’s obstruction, it’s resist. It’s whatever you have to do.
With all of that being said, it’s a process. And we all feel — speaking for all of the Republicans, we feel that we want to go through this process and we want to give everybody a chance to say what they have to say.
So we have time available. We will delay the process until it’s finished out. I guess weve invited everybody. I know — I can tell you this — that Judge Kavanaugh is anxious to do it. I dont know about the other party, but Judge Kavanaugh is very anxious to do it.
And a delay is certainly acceptable. We want to get to the bottom of everything. We want everybody to be able to speak up and speak out. The fact is, though, this should have been done a long time ago. And when Senator Feinstein had Judge Kavanaugh in her office for a long time, she never even mentioned this. And that was a long time ago. Never even mentioned it. So why wouldnt you bring this up, when he is sitting in her office for a pretty extended period of time?
So, it’s unfortunate. He is an incredible man. He’s an incredible intellect. He will make an incredible Supreme Court justice. But we feel that we want to go through a process. We want to hear both sides.
Q Will you ask the FBI to open his file?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: I dont think the FBI really should be involved because they dont want to be involved. If they wanted to be, I would certainly do that. But as you know, they say this is not really their thing. But I think, politically speaking, the senators will do a very good job. They really will. They’re going to open it up, and they will do a very good job.
Q The security of Poland — how important is it to you, security of Poland?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Oh, very important. The security of Poland, to me?
Q Yeah.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Almost as important as it is to this man. I can’t say “as,” but “almost.”
PRESIDENT DUDA: For me it’s the most important, and I hope that we will build Fort Trump in Poland together, Mr. President.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: That’s right. You know what? It’s very important to me. Extremely important. They’re very special people. It’s a very special country. It’s a very brave country.
I think one of my best moments was making that speech in Poland. People liked me, and I like them. They’re very, very exceptional people. The security of Poland is very important to me, and it’s very important to our country.
Q Mr. President, are you willing to declassify other items regarding the Russia investigation?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, we’re going to see. We want transparency. What I want is I want total transparency. This is a witch hunt. Republicans are seeing it. The Democrats know it’s a witch hunt, too, but they dont want to admit it because that’s not good politics for them. But it’s a terrible witch hunt, and it’s hurt our country.
And the things that have been found over the last couple of weeks about text messages back and forth are a disgrace to our nation. And I want transparency, and so does everybody else. As you know, congressional committees came to me and they wanted this. And I did it based on their request. But I think it’s a good thing, because we should open it up for people to see.
Thank you very much, everybody. Thank you.
Q Have you talked to Judge Kavanaugh?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: No, I havent.
Q Why not?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Specifically, I havent wanted to. I think it’s something that he will do very well. I think, specifically, I havent wanted to speak to Judge Kavanaugh because I knew somebody would ask me the same question that you asked me: “Have you spoken to Judge Kavanaugh?” So, specifically, I thought it would be a good thing not to. He can handle himself better than anybody. Hes a very outstanding man. Thank you.
Q So you still support him. He knows you support him though.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Oh, Im totally supportive. Yes, Im very supportive. He’s a — I would say few people that Ive ever seen, that I’ve ever known — and I know people of great success — have been so outstanding as Judge Kavanaugh.
Q Is this all politics?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: I dont want to say that. Maybe I’ll say that in a couple of days, but not now.
Thank you very much, everybody.
Q Aren’t you afraid of hostile Russia reaction to this close friendship with Poland? Sir, arent you afraid of hostile Russia reaction to the close friendship with Poland?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: I love our friendship with Poland. I love our friendship with Poland.
Well, it was only a matter of time. President Trump on Monday threw a hand grenade into the center of the Russian investigation that was all started by Hillary blaming the leak of Democratic Party emails on Russia and Trump colluded with them. The Democrats and Hillary then paid to create the infamous dossier and pretended it was not funded by the Democrats. They have managed to keep the country distracted and that has been the political objective all along – just politics.
Trump has now directed the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Justice to declassify a number of documents related to the Russia investigation which will be for our reading pleasure and bull the curtain back a little further on just how seriously bad things have gotten in the Washington Swamp. Already the Democrats are screaming say this will put people’s lives at risk. If I recall, the same thing was said about the IRS scandal when the Obama Administration was targeting the Tea Party using the IRS with the silent support of John McCain and John Boehner. They wanted to have Lois Lerner’stestimony sealed claiming death threats – she is still alive.
Trump also directed the release of unredacted versions of all text messages about the probe sent and received by multiple officials, including former FBI Director James Comey and deputy director Andrew McCabe. He has also included the declassification of several pages of a June 2017 FISA renewal application for a warrant ultimately granted to surveil former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, along with all FBI interviews and reports connected to the Page FISA application. He has specified the selective declassification of the Page FISA warrant and the DOJ and FBI are to declassify pages 10 to 12 and 17 to 34 of the Page FISA application. He has obviously reviewed this mess. One of those sections appears to relate to the time period that Page worked on Trump’s campaign as a foreign policy adviser
Moreover, Trump also instructed the Justice Department to publicly release unredacted versions of all text messages related to the Russia probe of Comey, McCabe, Ohr, and FBI officials Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, who were involved in both the Russia investigation and the probe into 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she served as secretary of state. The leaks we have seen so far have been showing that they turned a blind eye to Hillary and abused their power to target Trump.
Additionally, he requested that the agencies declassify all FBI reports of an interview with Justice Department official Bruce Ohr that were connected to the Russia probe. Now, this should get interesting. If you remember, Ohr is the person who communicated with former British spy Christopher Steele back in 2016 to compile that dossier of damaging allegations involving Trump and Russia which was used to justify this entire case. Trump wants released information about confidential sources that Steele used while compiling his dossier, as well as Steele’s own history as an FBI source.
This is clearly time for some transparency here yet as expected Democrats and DOJ prosecutors argue this is ‘risking the lives’ of confidential sources. This is clearly going to expose the internal corruption at the highest levels of the DOJ and FBI no different than we saw when they used the IRS. The Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, called Trump’s move a “clear abuse of power” but ignores the abuse of power on every other level by the Deep State. House minority leader Nancy Pelosi said this was a “desperate, dangerous, and deliberately misleading.” I find that withholding the truth also misleading and since the Democrats have made this the controversy on which they hope to retake the Hill in November, it is really partisan so let it all out and the people should judge. The Democrats are using this to fight in November. It is fair game to fight back.
An old saying comes to mind – people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. This entire Russian nonsense is absurd. Even if they did release the Democratic emails that Hillary blames for her loss, there has NEVER BEEN any allegation that they were fake or altered. So all we are talking about is emails that also revealed their internal corruption and how they conspired to make Hillary the candidate against Bernie Sanders. That is why when they gave California to Hillary rigging the votes against Bernie, he went to the White House and Obama told him to just accept his fate. Why not release all of that as well.
People have to realize that changing presidents or the head of any agency really does not change the system. The DEEP STATE is the bureaucracy and they remain in place regardless of who sits in the Oval Office. They hate Trump because he wants to drain the SWAMP – which is them.
QUESTION: Mr. Armstrong; You have worked with politicians worldwide and both sides. What is your opinion of the politics that has emerged post-Great Depression?
LM
ANSWER: The major difference between the socialism supported by the Democrats/Labour in Western Society is that to them the individual has no value, it is the collective society, which they then elevate themselves to rule. Conservatives believe in the individual has rights and value and that the state is to serve the people. In the eyes of socialism, it is not the individual but the collective society which is the value and they are qualified to rule from above. The socialist always seeks to control others and in so doing, the individual is always sacrificed for the collective state. It is not what your country can do for you personally, it is the teaching that you as the individual are to be sacrificed for the greater good of the whole which is controlled by the politicians – i.e. former the Soviet Union.
Nevertheless, the socialist always pretend that they are on your side. They have flipping everything upside down. Your personal well being is only possible by surrendering your individuality to the state. It is what they have done with Death Insurance. The insurance companies could not sell Death Insurance, so the reversed it and called it Life Insurance. Like fire insurance protects against fire, life insurance does not protect you from living forever. They reversed the label to make you feel proud how much Death Insurance you own. Socialist did the exact same thing. They get people to surrender their individuality to the state and always blame the rich when your quality of life declines.
This to me is the ultimate struggle. We are talking about our freedom which the Founding Fathers made clear – it was to be We the People, not the people as economic slaves to support the state as the tax burden constantly always rises. You cannot pursue personal security and happiness when you are subservient to the State. Civilization was not created to make economic slaves out of the people to serve the state. This is why the Founding Father prohibited DIRECT TAXES, which the socialists in the rising era of Marxism embraced at the start of the 20th century.
Once they created the income tax, every individual was now required to account to the state what they possessed and what they did. Since then, all we have are laws that constantly remove our freedoms because they assume we are all hiding money. They constantly lower the definition of the “rich” from $5 million in 1940 to now $250,000 and made it total household income not even individual.
It is now money laundering to keep cash in a safe deposit box for the new interpretation is hiding money from the government is a crime even if you paid your tax. We have Australian boasting “Cash is for Criminals” and they now follow your children to school and interrogate the school how you pay for your children. All of these laws, including confiscating cash when you travel, are all justified because the collective society is more important than the individual.
I am glad I am personally closer to my expiration date for this life than my birth. I feel sorry for my family who I will leave behind because they will NEVER know the freedom that I grew up under. With each passing year, we lose more and more of our human rights and individual security. This can only end in civil war as it has always done throughout history when these two philosophies confront each other. One just wants to be left alone and the other cannot sleep at night if others have what they do not. Their interpretation of “We the People” is the collective state comes before the individual.
