Donald Trump’s 2024 Vice President

Posted originally on the CTH on December 25, 2023 | Sundance

Given the recent discussions about a potential Vice President pick by Donald Trump, several people have asked for my perspective.

Because I look at the office of the presidency slightly different than most, and specifically because the real challenge that needs to be addressed is located deep inside each institution of government, my perspective on the running mate is somewhat different than most.

The Vice President is the safety mechanism for continuity of government in the event that something happens to the President.

Additionally, for the unique nature of the 2024 election, the VP pick technically becomes the 2028 MAGA candidate by default and general intention.  Therefore, the selection of Trump’s running mate holds a greater weight of importance given the single term objective.

The primary factor of President Trump’s pick for VP should be, who will be the 2028 nominee.

Prior to President Trump’s first term in office, traditionally the role of the Vice-President, the actual tasks they are assigned to carry out, were generally ceremonial in nature.  However, President Trump approached the VP role differently, and gave substantive policy initiatives to Vice President Mike Pence.  [Pence proved he was not a good executive]

It should also be remembered that another unique aspect to President Trump’s term was his control over every of aspect of economic policy and trade.  This level of economic focus, with controls completely retained by President Trump, was then used as a mechanism to influence President Trump’s foreign policy.

As stated by several Trump economic officials when describing the Trump doctrine, “economic security is national security.”  The America-First outlook was a domestic economic focus, used as a lever to influence foreign policy activity.

As a consequence, the President Trump economic team was extremely stable throughout his term.  USTR Robert Lighthizer, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, CEA Chairman Larry Kudlow and Trade/Manufacturing Advisor Peter Navarro all worked in close coordination on their specific assignments that were instructions from President Trump.

The globe was broken into two general regions, east (Pacific) and west (Atlantic).  Lighthizer was assigned eyes and trade policy toward Asia, while Ross assigned trade policy toward Europe.  The total team were in close communication at all times and Donald Trump made every important decision for the econ/trade team.  The team carried out Trump’s agenda; it was a very effective approach.

The reason I mention this economic and foreign policy aspect is because there’s little doubt this would again be the focus of President Trump in a second term.   Trump is likely going to be the driving force of economic policy and foreign policy, in granular detail again.  The VP needs to learn how Trump does it so effectively, so that MAGA continues into 2028.

Meanwhile, all of the other agencies need serious wolverines at the helm, fearlessly chewing down the mechanisms of, (a) the intelligence apparatus; and (b) the controlled bureaucratic and administrative state.

No executive can micromanage the details of this scale, the office of the president can only support their efforts and provide tools and resources for the dismantling.

Knowing this, and fully understanding the skills, strengths and weaknesses of each potential VP selection, I look at the Big Picture through the prism of who do I want at the helm, that has enough loyalty to ensure the deconstruction takes place and/or continues and holds the integrity/fortitude to provide me some measure of assurance.  I guess this is the proverbial trust factor, only this time it’s even more important.

Right now, only one person hits that level of integrity for me, Dr. Ben Carson.

I trust Dr Ben Carson to understand the MAGA vision; to understand how the MAGA vision becomes manifest through policy; and, more importantly, to stay true to the MAGA vision if called upon to execute.

Perhaps there is someone else with the loyalty trait, the principal trait, the integrity trait, and the practical trait to continue after 4 years; however, if there is such a person, they don’t jump readily to mind.

The other cabinet members would all have big jobs, and none of them can come from the traditional system within DC.  They need to be wolverines baring teeth and ready to start the “retribution phase” on day one.

Sunday Talks – DAG Lisa Monaco Says the Quiet Part Out Loud – Within How Her DOJ is Operating, All Outsiders Must be Kept Outside

Posted originally on the CTH on December 24, 2023 | Sundance

Most will not see the forest through the trees.  I have shortened this longer interview with Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, to emphasize a point.

Monaco is one of the extreme control operatives from the Obama era who transferred intentionally into the Biden administration to continue control operations.  Monaco is literally one of the consequential DC administrators responsible for maintaining a well-honed and weaponized Dept of Justice.  That’s all she does; organizing and keeping the Main Justice targeting mechanism focused on their priority is her job.

In this interview segment, transcript provided below, DAG Lisa Monaco outlines the importance of keeping a corrupt system isolated so that only the corrupt officials within it have reign.  Of course, that’s not the exact context of her comments, but when combined with the actual reality of the effort – that’s the cornerstone of the non-pretending message.  WATCH:

[Transcript] – […] THOMAS: I’m going to ask a couple questions that I hope get to transparency, understanding the limits that you have to operate within. Can you assure the American public that Special Counsels Jack Smith and David Weiss, Robert Hur are operating without regard to anything but the facts and the law?

MONACO: Yes. And the reason I say that, Pierre, is, look, these are matters of the utmost importance and significance. Cases of that level of significance are — it’s exceptionally important that they are handled independently, confidentially and free of any outside or inappropriate influence. And that’s exactly why the attorney general appointed special counsels in the first place.

THOMAS: Just for the record, so the public can hear it from a top official at DOJ, has President Biden ever raised the classified documents investigation, the probe of Hunter Biden with you or the A.G., tried to influence you? Has he ever done that in regard to President Trump?

MONACO: No. And the attorney general’s been exceptionally clear on this point. (more)

Outcomes are determined by controlling inputs.

Want a specific outcome?  You must control all the inputs.

In this situation, “free of any outside influence” means retaining the silo of benefit.

She’s saying the quiet part, without people really understanding how the quiet part is constructed right in front of our faces.

No, Donald Trump Will Never Consider Nikki Haley as VP Possibility, Here’s Why

Posted originally on the CTH on December 23, 2023 | Sundance

CBS floated some ridiculous story about President Trump asking advisors their opinion of Nikki Haley as a VP option.  That story is nonsense.  Anyone in the orbit of Donald Trump knows Nikki Haley is a nonstarter.

CBS is known as the worst news organization for making stuff up.  There is no element of their thin-gruel story [SEE HERE] that is believable.  Here’s why…

President Trump is known for remembering betrayal; he doesn’t always burn the bridge, but he never recrosses it.

Nikki Haley in February 2021: …”“I don’t think [Trump’s] going to be in the picture,” she said, matter-of-factly. “I don’t think he can. He’s fallen so far.” […] “We need to acknowledge he let us down,” she said. “He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t let that ever happen again.”  (link)

Two months later, April 2021, when asked about her 2024 presidential ambitions Nikki Haley says:…”Out of respect I would never do anything to go against [Trump], he knows that. I would have a conversation with him and talk to him about it should we decide we want to pursue it; but, um, no, I have a great respect for him, and I would never consider running against him.” (link)

When Nikki Haley attempted to contact President Trump he ignored her calls.  She could not get the meeting.  She announced her intention anyway, because she was always going to announce her candidacy.   Everything structurally around her was well known as soon as she left the administration.

Use the CTH site search tool function and type in “Nikki Haley” for the results.  Take a few Snickers bars because you are going to be there a while.

Why so much focus on Nikki Haley?

For the same reason CTH focused so heavily on Mitch McConnell; these are backstabbing liars of the highest order.  These are the snakes from the poem President Trump recited quite often….

…These Haley types are the scheming DeceptiCons.  Haley has no redeeming qualities if you are well versed in understanding the manipulative intents of the conniving big government, cocktail party, Wall Street republicans.

Nikki Haley is the Mitt Romney of John McCains.

October 2019 – Nikki Haley purchased a $2.4 million home in Kiawah Island, Charleston county, South Carolina (link). Nikki Haley released her book “With All Due Respect” on November 12th (link). Mrs. Haley also took a position on the board of directors for Boeing Co, likely an extension of success for her prior efforts recruiting Boeing to the state. (link)

The board position, home purchase and book tour follows a very predictable pattern for those who follow GOPe politics closely. Indeed, there is speculation Nikki Haley was/is positioning for a 2024 presidential bid; speculation that generally aligns with the pattern.

OCTOBER 2018 – Ms. Haley comes from the political house of Prescott/Bush; hence the original Rubio support in 2016 etc. She is a political animal from the establishment wing.

Within the traditional political class, the customary approach to a White House run is to gain about five years of wealth in advance of a presidential run. Haley would be following a wealth process for a 2024 presidential run.

During this wealth accumulation period the cocktail party circuit (the billionaire crowd) will front-load wealth, purchase homes and all expenses etc, for the future candidate. This ‘Five Year Plan‘ was the same historic approach done for Ronald Reagan.

With a candidate in the private sector, the professional donor-class make investments in the candidate while it is legal to do so. The investments are made in anticipation of future influence.  This is simply how money influences politics.

With the “Me Too” movement in high political value, the currency of Nikki Haley, as an investment candidate, was at the apex in 2019.  Haley checked the right boxes; she then moved to capitalize on the process, politics and timeliness.

The U.N., as an institution, is also in alignment with the high-brow Prescott Bush clan. Ms. Nikki Haley is regarded by this clan as a very valuable commodity. If they can’t get Jeb, or another Bush (ie. Rubio) over the finish line, they will be much better positioned with investments in Nikki Haley.

Due to the increasing success of the MAGA or Trump Republican apparatus, Haley will need to carefully position herself as a stealth Decepticon and not upset the vulgarian hordes, ie. the new republican party base voter. As a smart and tactical politician Haley will invest heavily in the optics of supporting the MAGA movement.

Much like the primary of 2016 (w/ Jeb), the primary race of 2024 will determine if Haley can con enough people into not seeing her elitist Decepticon position.

The Bush clan and professional political cocktail circuit was rebuked in 2016, so we can anticipate their strategy in 2024 will be with those strategic lessons at the forefront.

Wikipedia’s Definition of a Woman?

Wikipedia has degenerated into nothing but a government propaganda avenue. Here was their definition of a woman with the photograph of the transgender Rachel Levine, Biden’s 17th Assistant Secretary of Health. Apparently, this offended so many that Wikipedia removed this page and replaced it with the following. The mere fact that they used Levin’s photo for the DEFINITION of a woman is just astonishing. A biological woman is no longer a woman. As I have said, in Thailand, the sex change capital of the world, they simply call themselves Ladyboys. They do not demand that they be called a woman, so there is no longer a definition of a woman. The fact that Wikipedia did this shows its hidden agenda and why universities now tell students they cannot use Wikipedia as a source for research papers. DO NOT DONATE ANYTHING TO WIKIPEDIA – They are no longer a valid independent source to be trusted, especially about anything that has a political implication.

It All Depends on the Military

Yeltsin Tank

QUESTION: Do you think we will enter a civil war?

FD

ANSWER: I do not think that we will be in civil war, but we do have to understand if any state tries to succeed, it could turn to violence based on precedent. Everything will depend on the military. If they turn on the people, then yes. If they support the people, it can be a bloodless event like Yeltsin standing on the tank in 1991.

The computer shows that the nation is deeply divided, and we will see civil unrest post-2024 because this is spinning out of control. The Democrats are not unified, and neither are the Republicans, for that matter. We need reform, and that is what Washington is fighting against. The party is over. They have to realize it is time to clean the garbage in DC. This whole nonsense with Trump is trying to block him to maintain the status quo. It only divides the country.

Our future will be determined by the military, as in just about every situation throughout history.

The Supreme Court Sees the Politics – Jack Smith Denied Request to Leapfrog Appeals Court

Posted originally on the CTH on December 22, 2023 | Sundance

As we stated yesterday, following the Smith request, the Trump attorney response, and the Smith re-response, the transparency of the special counsel motive is obvious.  For the Supreme Court to accept the request of Smith, would be for the Supreme Court to pretend the political motive was unknown.

The Supreme Court did not pretend and was curt in their retort: “The petition for a writ of certiorari before judgment is denied.”

Special Counsel Jack Smith argued in his petition to the court, the speedy resolution of Trump’s claim of presidential immunity is of an urgent national interest.  The motive was/is a transparent speedy timeline effort to influence the 2024 GOP presidential primary race.  The court, heck, the entire world can see it.

Arguments on the presidential immunity issue, within the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, are set for January 9, 2024.  The decision of the 3-judge panel will come thereafter. Depending on the outcome, Donald Trump can then ask for a full panel appellate court review.  If the Circuit Court appeal results in a non-favorable outcome, the next step is the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, the DC trial of Donald Trump is frozen awaiting a determination on the original issue of presidential immunity.

High Court Drama – 19 States File Brief With Supreme Court Supporting Donald Trump Immunity Decision, Jack Smith Files Response

Posted originally on the CTH on December 21, 2023 | Sundance

President Trump has asked the Supreme Court to allow the legal arguments with presidential immunity to follow the traditional path through the appeals court [pdf court filing].  Special Prosecutor Jack Smith wants to sidestep the appeals court and go directly to the Supreme Court for resolution.

As noted by Politico, President Trump’s lawyers “repeatedly warning the justices to avoid “haste,” Trump’s lawyers skewered Smith for taking extraordinary steps to preserve the March 4, 2024, trial date without detailing why taking the case to a jury just over two months from now is so critical.”  In essence, Jack Smith is trying to force a fast trial on schedule to gain maximum interference with the GOP primary election, while Trump’s lawyers are calling him out for it.

Jack Smith filed a response to the Trump filing, again reasserting, “the public interest in a prompt resolution of this case favors an immediate, definitive decision by this court. The charges here are of the utmost gravity. This case involves — for the first time in our nation’s history — criminal charges against a former president based on his actions while in office. And not just any actions: alleged acts to perpetuate himself in power by frustrating the constitutionally prescribed process for certifying the lawful winner of an election,” wrote Mr. Smith. “The nation has a compelling interest in a decision.”

Smith is worried the appeals court arguments and final decision will extend beyond the 2024 term of the Supreme Court, setting up a lengthy continuation of the DC case against Trump into October and November of 2024.   Trump’s team is saying the issues before the court are unprecedented and careful deliberation is needed.

To support the position of Donald Trump, 19 states filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court today [pdf Here].

[…] “In 234 years of American history, no President ever faced criminal prosecution for his official acts. Until 19 days ago, no court had ever addressed whether immunity from such prosecution exists. To this day, no appellate court has addressed it. The question stands among the most complex, intricate, and momentous issues that this Court will be called on to decide.

This Court’s ordinary review procedures will allow the D.C. Circuit to address this appeal in the first instance, thus granting this Court the benefit of an appellate court’s prior consideration of these historic topics and performing the traditional winnowing function that this Court has long preferred. Indeed, the D.C. Circuit has already granted highly expedited review of President Trump’s appeal over President Trump’s opposition, with briefing to be concluded by January 2, 2024, and oral argument scheduled for January 9, 2024.

The Special Counsel urges this Court to bypass those ordinary procedures, including the longstanding preference for prior consideration by at least one court of appeals, and rush to decide the issues with reckless abandon. The Court should decline that invitation at this time, for several reasons. (read more, pdf)

Making matters more complex for the high court to review, former Attorney General Edwin Meese III and law professors Steven G Calabresi and Gary S Lawson have filed a briefing as Amici Curiae (friend of the court, not connected to either party), [pdf HERE] challenging the legitimacy of the Biden appointed special counsel, Jack Smith.

[SOURCE]

Regardless of whether the Supreme Court wants to weigh in on these issues, they are going to have to respond. This is in addition to the Supreme Court ultimately having to determine how the insufferable Colorado lawfare ruling is going to stand.

The Robert’s led supreme court does not like issues involving the political dynamic; however, on these two issues they are likely going to have to choose. If they deny the Jack Smith request, the trial of Donald Trump could be delayed until the resolution of presidential immunity ultimately reaches them (after appellate court review). However, there is a strong possibility the appeals court will side with President Trump, and the appeal to SCOTUS will then come from Jack Smith.

New Hampshire Poll – President Trump Dominates With 52%, Nikki Haley at 22% Takes Ron DeSantis Previous Base of Rich, White, Men

Posted originally on the CTH on December 21, 2023 | Sundance | 58 Comments

An interesting poll out of New Hampshire [UML Poll Here] [Topline pdf Here] shows something perhaps many expected.

President Donald Trump still dominates the field with 52% and leads in every demographic.  Nikki Haley comes in second with 22%, and Ron DeSantis third with 10%.   However, if you dig into the demographics of the respondents what you discover is that Nikki Haley has gained her support from Ron DeSantis primary support base.

[Source]

Previously DeSantis main support base was from wealthy, older, white males.  DeSantis has now lost this base to Nikki Haley as her demographic support shows the rich, older, white males, what you might call the country club circuit, have dumped the Florida Governor in favor of the former UN Ambassador.

The rich, older, white males now support Nikki Haley over Ron DeSantis.  This explains why Haley’s gains are all DeSantis losses.

Additionally, 27% of the DeSantis support is locked in (73% willing to change), while 47% of the Nikki Haley supporters are firm for her (53% could change mind).  Not only has Nikki Haley taken DeSantis base of support, but she has also locked in most of that stolen base.

While neither Haley or DeSantis stands a chance at a New Hampshire victory, it’s interesting how the dynamic has rolled out.

On the Trump support, 79% of the respondents have locked in for President Trump.  Over 86% of those are New Hampshire women, and when it comes to income distribution President Trump holds 93% firm votes from those making under $50k/yr.  The MAGA base is unflinching.

The University of Massachusetts Lowell poll is very strong for President Donald Trump.
