Can Shareholders Bring Suit Against Dorsey for Securities Fraud?

Armstrong Economics Blog/Rule of Law Re-Posted Jun 21, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

In July 2015, then CEO Dick Costolo departed Twitter, and Jack Dorsey assumed the role of interim CEO. Twitter was created by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams in March 2006 and launched in July 2006. By 2012, the platform had more than 100 million users. I am surprised that they have not figured out that Dorsey can be personally sued for securities fraud since he marketed Twitter as being the platform for “freedom of expression,” whereby he has personally taken charge of the company and did exactly the opposite of what was said when they went public.

If I raised money and said we would invest in BioTech, but then after getting the money I invested in real estate, that would be securities fraud. We cannot count on the SEC to defend the people. They get their marching orders and will never cross paths with someone like Dorsey. Worse still, if you take a public corporation and you flip it around for personal use, that too is actionable. Dorsey is obviously incompetent as a CEO.

New York Times Editorial Board Member Mara Gay Says She Was Forced to Witness American Flags on Memorial Day and That is Very Disturbing

This soundbite from MSNBC personifies the moonbattery currently infecting American discourse.  New York Times editorial board member, Mara Gay, shares her experience driving to Long Island, New York, on Memorial Day and how disturbed she was witnessing American flags.

Ms. Gay states the implied message by anyone displaying an American flag is: “this is my country”, and she finds that “alarmingly disturbing.”

According to the New York Times outlook, it is unthinkable to contemplate that people would show patriotism -actual, real life patriotism- by flying American flags and associating themselves with America as their country.  The entire concept is just horrific.  WATCH:

No good communist ideologue would ever want to be exposed to American flags that represent concepts like “Liberty”, “Independence”, or heaven forbid “Freedom”.   Ms. Gay was exposed to authentic American patriotism, the equivalent of garlic to a vampire; and be warned…  she is committed to doubling her efforts to isolate, marginalize and ridicule anyone who dare fly Old Glory…

Fly or embrace the American Flag as representative of your pride in America, your nation, and the New York Times will call you racist.

Founder of Moderna Canceled by Twitter for Confirming Truth

Armstrong Economics Blog/BigTech Re-Posted Jun 4, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

t is time that the people DEMAND the end to censorship. The immunity given to platforms was to prevent them from being sued for posts of others. Not that they are now the Censors of society. They are endangering people’s lives and they should be dragged out of their offices and put on trial for sedition. This is supposed to be a government by and for the people – not World Economic Forum, Bill Gates, and politicians lining their pockets to create concentration camps to reduce CO2 and the population.

The Democrats are protecting this consortium and not the people!

Why BigTech are State Actors & Violate our Civil Rights

Armstrong Economics Blog/BigTech Re-Posted May 27, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

As many know, I lived in London years ago. At the upper end of Hyde Park by Marble Arch, there is Speakers’ Corner. That is where anyone could stand up and talk about anything that they wanted. You were free to listen or just walk away. There would often be a crowd, and that was not an indication that they agreed. It simply meant that the topic was curious, worth listening to or just entertaining crazy talk.

Speakers’ Corner even shows up on Google Maps, showing that this is indeed a landmark. What is important about this is that Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, especially those who claim to be public forums, also claim they have the right to censor what you say or even think. Section 230 only gave them immunity from suit because someone posted something another did not like. In that context, it was a reasonable grant of immunity. It would be like suing the city of London because someone at Speakers’ Corner said something that offended you.

You cannot be a public forum by deleting people and canceling anyone you do not like. Speakers’ Corner in London is what these forums were supposed to be. If someone is a Nazi and hates Jews, so be it. They have a right to say that just as the rest of us have the right to shake our heads and walk away as in Hyde Park. It used to be an easy world. If someone was talking to themselves walking down the street, we just looked at them as being strange. We didn’t run to the police screaming we were offended by what the crazy person said. Today, people are walking down the street and talking perhaps to themselves, but then again, maybe they have an earpiece for a phone. Life has become much more complicated. Now it seems the crazy people are in charge of the forums in BigTech and they are saying we no longer have the right to free speech.

Facebook whistleblowers have leaked documents detailing the effort to censor vax concerns on a global scale secretly. None of this is legal for Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube all have connections to the left side of government and that means that they are acting in violation of the Constitution under the pretense of being private when in fact they are acting as agents of the state. This needs to go to trial and the jury will decide if these people are state actors. If so, then they are violating every principle of the Constitution.

The removal of Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier from the U.S. Space Force this month after he publicly stated his opposition to Marxism and Critical Race Theory is part of a very dangerous new wave of censorship that is transforming the United States into East Germany under the Communists. Speakers’ Corner was the very core of a free society which once stood in contrast to Communism and authoritarian forms of government. This is precisely what these people are resurrecting — the worst of human history.

Twitter Warns Indian Government to “Respect Freedom of Expression” – Beyond The Hypocrisy, Big Tech is Now Telling Global Government What is Permitted Propaganda

Comrade citizens, pay no attention to the blatant propaganda inherent in this latest expression from the almighty Big Tech globalist alliance unit at Twitter.

Ignore the stunning hypocrisy of telling a foreign government to respect the “freedom of expression” from a platform that arbitrarily censors and deletes the “expressions” that do not align with their politics.

Be a good comrade and do not pay attention to the scale of hubris for a company to threaten a foreign government and publicly take the position that Big Tech Twitter is more important and powerful than the billion plus citizens and elected government of a sovereign state.

All your governments are belong to us.  Yes, quite remarkable but completely in-line with their outlook of self-importance.

(New York Post) – Twitter on Thursday said it is worried about the safety of its staff in India and called for the government to respect freedom of expression, days after Indian police visited its office in New Delhi over its labeling of a tweet by a governing party spokesman as “manipulated media.”

Twitter has been involved in a tense battle with the Indian government, which has often asked it to restrict content alleging Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration is trying to silence criticism, including of its handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Twitter said it has “concerns with regards to the use of intimidation tactics by the police” and “the potential threat to freedom of expression for the people we serve.”

India’s IT ministry called Twitter’s statement “totally baseless, false and an attempt to defame India.” It said Twitter should “comply with the laws of the land” instead of “dictating what India’s legal policy framework should be.” (read more)

Face Book 32% of Global Population

Armstrong Economics Blog/BigTech Re-Posted May 7, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

There is a massive campaign unfolding against Facebook. The biggest and most stupid mistake they made was to take sides in politics by banning and canceling anyone with who they disagree. Besides all of that, Facebook has invaded people’s privacy like no other platform. They track everything you do and sell that info to the highest bidder. The number of active users of Facebook (those people who have logged onto the site in the previous month) has reached a historic high of  2.45 billion. To put this in some context, approximately 32% of the global population now uses the social media platform, and the trend line of participation is still going up. About 63% of American adults are on Facebook and 65% of the youth.

Back in 2004, when a 19-year-old Zuckerberg had just started building Facebook, he sent his Harvard friends a series of instant messages in which he marveled at the fact that 4,000 people had volunteered their personal information to his nascent social network. “People just submitted it … I don’t know why … They ‘trust me’ … dumb fucks.

In 2019, Facebook was ordered to create new layers of oversight for its collection and handling of users’ data by the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC detailed a privacy settlement with the social network. Still, the FTC buckled to the lobbying power of Facebook. The F.T.C.’s commissioners approved the restrictions in a 3-to-2 vote but drew very sharp criticism for not going far enough. The FTC utterly failed to curb the data collection of the world’s largest social media company. Republican and Democratic lawmakers even said that the settlement was a drop in the bucket for Facebook, The FTC failed to limit a core practice that has repeatedly raised privacy questions, and since they have ventured into manipulating elections precisely as the Russians were accused of back in 2016. The people simply being victims of this cancel culture is growing exponentially.

So just how stupid are people? It seems to be very stupid. Back in 2018, the Observer revealed how Cambridge Analytica, a company funded by conservative billionaire Robert Mercer, acquired and exploited the data associated with 50 million Facebook profiles. It appears that while Facebook had been aware of what the Observer described as “unprecedented data harvesting” for two years, it did not notify the affected users.

Ma’Kiyah Bryant Neighbor Releases Home Security Footage, Says Officer “had no choice but to shoot the black 16-year-old because more people could have been killed if he hadn’t acted”

The police officer who responded to 16-year-old Ma’Kiyah Bryant’s stabbing rampage was an expert marksman with military training.  His quick reaction likely saved the life of another young woman who was milliseconds away from being stabbed by the out of control teenager.

His response to the incident should not be controversial given all of the facts as they developed in a few seconds upon his arrival.  A neighbor’s CCTV security footage shows another angle of the shooting.

Daily Mail – Neighbor Donavon Brinson “told Fox News Thursday morning he believes Bryant could have fatally stabbed the young woman she was seen lunging at with a knife if the cop hadn’t opened fire in Columbus, Ohio, Tuesday afternoon.

‘He could have either not fired and the young lady in pink could have been stabbed in the neck and brutally or fatally injured and then he could shot [Bryant] and we could have had two [young women] dead – or he could have responded in the way that he did and one young lady lost her life,’ he said.” (link)

News reports show the responding officer is a US Air National Guardsman who received an expert marksman badge with an M4 Carbine.

.

Unfortunately the entire event continues to be politicized by those who are attempting to divide the nation based on racial grievances.  However, there is little doubt amid the mind of the majority that the police officer acted according to his training to save the life of another black woman.  It is only from the perspective of the toxic left and their allied media that some other instantaneous action should have been taken.

Racial antagonist LeBron James, a basketball player for the NBA who thinks very highly of himself, attempted to threaten the police officer then retracted the tweet after backlash from the majority voice.

Interesting, Coca-Cola Removes Chief In-House Legal Counsel to Consulting Position

Get Woke, Go Broke…

Keep up the boycott of all Coca-Cola products.

Obviously the massive multinational corporation cannot admit they made a mistake lest they get attacked by the extremists on the far-left; however, all of Coca-Cola’s recent moves since they stupidly put their company into the toxic political mess surrounding election reform legislation -particularly in GA- indicates the company is experiencing destabilizing impacts from the MAGA boycott.  DO NOT RELENT !

(Bloomberg Legal) The Coca-Cola Co. announced Wednesday that it is moving legal chief Bradley Gayton to a “strategic consultant” role less than a year after he joined the company and promoting in-house lawyer Monica Howard Douglas to general counsel.

Gayton, who joined Coca-Cola on Sept. 1 and recently announced ambitious new diversity requirements for the company’s outside lawyers, will immediately become a strategic consultant to Coca-Cola chairman and CEO James Quincey.

[…]  Coca-Cola spokesman Scott Leith, when asked about the impetus for its general counsel change or whether Gayton’s strategic consulting role is a permanent or temporary position, said the company would have no additional comment. (read more)

It is almost impossible to boycott all of the multinational corporations that are attempting to influence U.S. politics.  However, if we focus like a laser on two or three: Delta Airlines, Coca-Cola and Major League Baseball, we can send a massive message that will hit the boardrooms of all others.

Take Coke down a few pegs…. and the rest will fall in line.
