McConnell and Schumer Strike Deal For Senate Votes on Funding….

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer have come to a UniParty agreement to advance two simultaneous bills to end the government shutdown.

The first bill contains the Trump priority agenda; the second bill contains the Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell priority agenda.  The senate will get to vote on both bills individually.  It is possible, perhaps likely, both will fail. However, watch the defectors. If history is a guide, any defectors will come from the GOPe side of the equation.

(Washington DC) […]  The first vote will be on President Trump‘s proposal to to reopen the government, provide $5.7 billion in funding for the border wall and extend legal protections to some immigrants for three years. If that fails, the Senate would then vote on a three-week continuing resolution (CR).

There is no guarantee that either bill can get the votes to pass and break the months-long stalemate that has closed roughly a quarter of the government. But the deal between McConnell and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) is the first glimmer of progress after weeks of entrenched back-and-forth.

Schumer thanked McConnell after he set up the votes and pointed to the Democratic proposal as a way out of the funding fight.

“We have a second amendment that could break us out of the morass we are in. …For the first time, we will get a vote on whether to open the government without any decision one way or the other on border security,” Schumer said. (more)

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Blocks President Trump Entry into Capitol Building – Confirms State of Union Speech Cancellation…

It looks like Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi has no intention of allowing the House chamber to be used for a State of the Union address.

Speaker Pelosi has informed the House Sergeant at Arms that no executive branch official will be permitted entry into the Capitol building.

Earlier Fox News reported Pelosi cancelled a walkthrough last week, and a second request for reconsideration from the White House is expected to meet the same fate. The House Speaker controls who is, and who is not, permitted entry to the House floor. Until Speaker Pelosi calls for a vote to support a joint session of congress, the President cannot enter the chamber.

Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley discusses the status of the current shutdown negotiations and the likelihood a SOU address will have to take place outside Washington DC.

Devin Nunes Outlines Central Point of Media Working With House Leadership Toward Trump ‘Impeachment’ Strategy…

House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes appears on Fox News and focuses attention to the primary point most overlook.  The Buzzfeed narrative on Michael Cohen is directly connected to the political endeavors of Democrats in congress.

Buzzfeed pushes a false conspiracy involving President Trump and Michael Cohen, HPSCI Chairman Adam Schiff then outlines his intent to “investigate” that claim through the use of the committee.  Again, not meaning to be too repetitious, but this is coordinated. Nothing is happenstance.  Resistance allies within congress are working in concert with resistance allies in media and Lawfare to create the baseline for the ‘impeachment’ agenda.

Speaker Pelosi publishes new rules for Democrat committees. The new rules tell Elijah Cummings to target the White House. The Thursday after the Superbowl, February 7th, Michael Cohen will testify publicly to Cummings’ House Oversight Committee. The script for the questions have already been written. The goal of the hearing will be to create the baseline for HPSCI (Schiff) and Judiciary (Nadler) to move to the next phase: a subpoena for Donald Trump Jr.

Everything is pre-planned, pre-scripted, and building to a specific focus point.

This is why Buzzfeed must hold the position *NOT* to retract their claim. The Pelosi, Cummings, Schiff and Nadler plan requires their media allies to stick to the script; there can be no modification.

Everything is planned.

Everything is sequential.

After the Cohen testimony; while Schiff begins to target DJT-Jr; Robert Mueller will move in with an interim report on the Russian investigation. Mid-February will be reserved for Schiff to target DJT-Jr; then, the timing for Rod Rosenstein/Robert Mueller is likely late February to expand…

The ultimate ‘impeachment’ ball will be handed to Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler after April 15th, 2019, per Pelosi rules and schedule.

The wild card is AG nominee William Barr.

Unlike Rod Rosenstein, Robert Mueller, Chris Wray and David Bowdich, William Barr doesn’t appear to be part of the compliant organization.

Specifically because Barr is not participating in the team agenda (doesn’t seem like it so far) he becomes a risk they may need to isolate and marginalize.

“If they go down the presidential harassment track, if they want go and harass the president and the administration, I think that would be the best thing that would happen to me. But Trump told The Post he wanted to save the documents until they were needed.

“It’s much more powerful if I do it then,” Trump said, “because if we had done it already, it would already be yesterday’s news.”

Earlier today President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence visit the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial in Washington DC on the holiday honoring the civil rights leader.

[Proclamation] One hundred years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, the great Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., took to the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and shared his vision of an America lifted from the “quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.”

His extraordinary message that momentous day in August of 1963 stirred to action Americans of every race and creed, and it continues to reverberate in the hearts and minds of patriotic citizens across our great land.  Today, as we pause to mark the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we recommit ourselves to the advancement of equality and justice for all Americans, and to the full realization of his worthy dream.

In the United States of America, every citizen should have the opportunity to build a better and brighter future, and, as President, I am committed to expanding opportunity for all Americans.  We have added more than 5 million new jobs to the economy over the past 2 years and unemployment rates for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, and Americans without a high school degree have reached record lows.

Appearing on Good Morning America, the first term junior senator from California, Kamala Harris, announced her intention to run for President of the United States in 2020. (video here)

“I am running for president of the United States,” she said. “And I’m very excited about it.” 

I’m sure she is.

Due to her cognitive incapacity to contrast reality against the manufactured media nonsense, Senator Harris will almost certainly be the left-wing media’s initial favorite. However, as noted within the Kavanaugh nomination hearings, Harris will push any media narrative regardless of how false and ridiculous it appears. She will most certainly do a big embarrassing stupid thing which will eliminate her from the race.

The 54-year-old senator has no original thoughts; has spent no time actually thinking about deeper policy issues; has zero substantive accomplishments within her background; and relies upon a wide circle of influence and branding agents to tell her which direction is best to achieve political gains.  In short, she is a purposeful/useful idiot within a uniparty wing so structurally Machievellian she will be an easy mark to set-up by the machine.

As the AP notes: “[Harris] abandoned the formality of launching an exploratory committee, instead going all in on a presidential bid.” “She plans a formal campaign launch in Oakland on Jan. 27. The campaign will be based in Baltimore, with a second office in Oakland.”

Knowing it’s likely the ♦UniParty DNC is following a similar ♦UniParty RNC strategy, we  can start to put the personal characteristics and political traits together and contrast them against 2016.  Here’s the way it looks so far:

China Set to Announce Weakest Economic Growth in Almost 30 Years….

The baseline when reviewing economic data from China is to remember the entire economy is controlled by the communist central government.  If they say the economy is “less strong” than previously expected, generally we can anticipate the truth is much worse.

The second aspect to remember is that many U.S. manufacturers made anticipatory advanced purchases, building up inventory ahead of possible tariffs, in the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2018.  Those advance purchases can amplify any manufacturing slow down.

BEIJING (Reuters) – China is expected to report on Monday that economic growth cooled to its slowest in 28 years in 2018 amid weakening domestic demand and bruising U.S. tariffs, adding pressure on Beijing to roll out more support measures to avert a sharper slowdown.

Growing signs of weakness in China — which has generated nearly a third of global growth in the past decade — are stoking worries about risks to the world economy and are weighing on profits for firms ranging from Apple to big carmakers.

Chinese policymakers have pledged more support for the economy this year to reduce the risk of massive job losses, but they have ruled out a “flood” of stimulus like that which Beijing has unleashed in the past, which quickly juiced growth rates but left a mountain of debt.  (read more)

China’s economy is deep (manufacturing), but it is also very narrow.  There is not enough internal domestic consumer activity to sustain their production.  As a direct result any manufacturing slowdown has a much more severe impact on their economy; as compared to a more balanced economy.

If other nations slow down their purchases of Chinese products, the Chinese export driven economy starts to contract.  If multiple nations simultaneously begin purchasing less from China, the current status, the Bejing economy shrinks much faster than all others.  A manufacturing dependency is the Chinese weakness. Millions of Chinese workers can be put out of work very quickly.

Some factories in Guangdong – China’s export hub – have shut earlier than usual ahead of the long Lunar New Year holiday as the tariff war with the United States curtails orders. Others are suspending production lines and cutting back on workers’ hours.

If the trade war drags on, some migrant workers may not have jobs to return to.

Trade negotiators are facing an early March deadline and Washington has threatened to sharply hike tariffs if there are no substantial signs of progress. (more)

March 1st is the deadline imposed by President Trump, Secretary Ross and Ambassador Robert Lighthizer.  If the U.S. and China are not close to concrete terms for a deal, the U.S. will execute a comprehensive round of tariffs on $250 billion in Chinese imports.

U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer wants actionable written trade contracts, with structured and detailed immediate Chinese purchase agreements.  At the direction of President Trump, Lighthizer will not settle for promises or outlines to further delay tariff execution.

NOTE: This timeline is likely why President Trump agreed to the meeting with North Korea Chairman Kim Jong-un at the end of February.  The media are oblivious to this aspect of the negotiations.

By agreeing to another meeting between President Trump and Chairman Kim (DPRK), the U.S. team has frozen the hidden and cunning Chinese/N.Korea leverage tactic in place for a month-and-a-half….. Meanwhile the U.S. and Chinese negotiators continue to discuss open trade terms unimpeded by the geopolitics.

I would not necessarily commit to thinking a Trump-Kim Summit 2.0 will take place.  However, the potential for the summit gives Team USA expanded elbow room.   The timing of the summit, when contrast with the March 1st Beijing deadline, means we could see a postponement of the Trump/Kim summit happening immediately before President Trump lets the massive tariff hammer drop.

Keep an eye on the pre-talk surrounding the summit; we may discover indicators as to how Trump is playing this out.  However, remember, the Red Dragon will also be looking for those signals… so it is likely POTUS Trump will closely guard his intent.

Chairman Xi is using Chairman Kim… and President Trump knows Xi is using Kim…. and Xi knows, Trump knows, Xi is using Kim…. and Trump knows that Xi knows that Kim knows he is being used.

And so the dance continues…

An important interview between Judiciary Committee member John Ratcliffe (R – TX) as he discusses the likely motive behind why Mueller decided to talk out against the Buzzfeed report.  Representative Ratcliffe points to the testimony of AG nominee William Barr as the annoying pebble that made Mueller’s team stop to shake out their shoe.

Additionally, in an outline to highlight the corrupt abuse of the Rosenstein/Mueller probe, Ratcliffe outlines Bruce Ohr’s testimony and exposes a larger issue: if Mueller was honorable, when he became aware of the scheme he would have dropped his inquiry.

Sunday Talks: Rudy Giuliani -vs- Chuck Todd and Jake Tapper…

Understanding that Michael Cohen is the first pre-planned Democrat House interview, first step, within a longer ‘impeachment’ strategy, it becomes easier to see why MSM are all-in to help build the false basis for the initial obstruction snowball.

In 2015/2016 Michael Cohen working for the Trump organization and exploring a business deal within Russia is nothing.  Democrats did not kick-off the public “Muh Russia” conspiracy narrative until October 2016.   In the aftermath of two years of creating the ‘Muh Russia’ planetary election conspiracy theory, a nothing-burger contact within Russia becomes a focus-point. [Ah-ha!, you were talking to Russians… ‘IMPEACH’! ]

However, for the impeachment cornerstone to take footing, Cummings, Schiff and Nadler need to present the optics of obstruction. House investigations need a plausible premise to justify the work. Media are working overtime to frame/support the ‘plausible premise’.

Sunday Talks: HPSCI Chairman Adam Schiff Discusses ‘Resistance’ Agenda and Priorities…

There are two distinct narrative angles that are intersecting in the current weekend talk venues.  One is the government shutdown and how the resistance is attempting to gain maximum political benefit against the White House.  The second is how the larger ‘shutdown narrative‘ is being deployed as cover for revelations within prior testimony showing how the Obama DOJ and FBI weaponized against their political opposition.

In this regard, the shutdown (as planned by Speaker Nancy Pelosi) serves a dual purpose; it is helping to construct a larger oppositional narrative while burying a story the MSM are desperate not to cover.  The two narratives are intertwined and it would be against the interests of Pelosi, Cummings, Schiff and Nadler, to reach a shutdown agreement.

HPSCI Chairman Adam Schiff appears after VP Mike Pence on FtN and highlights this intended dual purpose. Schiff immediately transfers from the shutdown into a discussion of using Michael Cohen: the two narratives are intertwined.

*Note*:  It’s important to remember the democrat strategy is planned out.  Oversight Committee (Cummings), builds to HPSCI Committee (Schiff) who ultimately leads to Judicary Committee (Nadler).   Jerry Nadler is where they hope to initiate the ‘impeachment‘ angle.
