Presidential envoy Steve Witkoff deserves a great deal of credit for what followed in the aftermath of President Trump’s final elimination of the Iranian nuclear threat. Throughout the 12-day war, Witkoff maintained a diplomatic connection to the Iranian delegation in order to position a ceasefire upon conclusion.
The Trump administration is now taking a more firm stance toward who in Iran they will accept negotiations with. As noted by Secretary Rubio, the use of intermediaries has exhausted its usefulness. While Qatar may play a role as an interlocutor to bridge the two sides, the time has come for direct face-to-face discussions with Iranian officials.
With the potential of a peace agreement and increased stability throughout the region, there is an opportunity for an expanded investment and economic zone throughout the middle east, not just in Iran. As CTH noted regarding the threat to close the Strait of Hormuz, technically it is not the Iranian government who closes the strait, but rather the maritime insurance companies who refuse to underwrite an enlarged risk. The same concept applies when the absence of conflict becomes the norm. Steve Witkoff draws attention to this background context within his remarks.
An ancillary benefit in the Russia-Ukraine conflict comes from a very public display of FAFO outcomes. None of the principle characters within NATO, the EU, the U.K nor Ukraine or Russia want to face the Godzilla FAFO strategy that President Trump is willing to deploy.
The reason why the NATO partners responded with great deference to President Trump in the Netherlands is no global observer wants to face Godzilla in FAFO mode, militarily or economically. Even before the dust settled from 70 tons of massive ordnance detonation deep underground in Iran the leaders of the world knew things would be different now.
How different? We saw the outcome at the Hague.
He flew eight B-2 stealth bombers halfway around the world, undetected into Iran in the middle of the night and dropped 70 tons of high explosive deep underground into hardened nuclear sites, with another ten tons on another upstream site just for good measure…. Then turned them around, brought them home safely and brokered a ceasefire before bed.

To recap, an out of context, “low confidence” and incomplete intelligence report was selectively leaked to the media. The media reported on the findings without any real effort to figure out whether they represent any part of (much less the full) truth. The way the media has presented the report is contradicted by the IAEA, the Iranians themselves, and the administration’s political and defense leadership. More importantly, the media’s reports are contradicted by common sense.

No one disputes they hit their targets. No one disputes the explosive or destructive power of the weapons. There is actually an interesting story here, if the media was interested in telling it. Why are members of the intelligence community leaking incomplete reports against the elected leadership of the country? Why have the same reporters who have gotten so much wrong learned so little? What is the purpose of these leaks–who is behind them, and what are they trying to achieve?
The media won’t investigate that story, though it would be in the public interest to do so. So pay attention to the reporters who are laundering talking points from junior careerists in the intelligence community.

If you assert the U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites at Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan were taken exclusively to remove the capacity of Iran to create a nuclear weapon, you are likely missing a key point. However, if you recognize the strikes were not only about eliminating Iran’s nuclear capacity but also about taking Israel’s “Iran has nukes!” card off the table, then you begin to understand the after action message from the Trump administration.
Essentially, by removing the Iran nuclear threat, the overall influence from Israel on President Trump’s foreign policy objective is also lessened. Within that dynamic you will see why President Trump, Secretary/NSA Rubio and the inner national security circle are so strongly emphasizing the “totally destroyed” message. WATCH:
The inverse of the successful Iran strike narrative is also true. If the strikes against Iran are defined as not eliminating the nuclear threat, then a continuance of national security influence on behalf of Israel is maintained.
Unfortunately, for the deepest part of the U.S. intelligence apparatus, maintaining the usefulness of the Iran nuclear threat is aligned with their interests. Hence, we begin to see why the intelligence apparatus immediately began trying to diminish the effectiveness of the strikes with leaks to CNN [SEE HERE].
Through strategically motivated leaks from within the intel apparatus CNN Reported:
“The US military strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities last weekend did not destroy the core components of the country’s nuclear program and likely only set it back by months, according to an early US intelligence assessment that was described by seven people briefed on it.
The assessment, which has not been previously reported, was produced by the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon’s intelligence arm. It is based on a battle damage assessment conducted by US Central Command in the aftermath of the US strikes, one of the sources said.” [link]
With this critical conflict in mind, now you begin to understand the severity of the intelligence community moves against DNI Tulsi Gabbard. Those attacks against DNI Gabbard began earlier this month when she started to take intelligence operatives out of their positions of influence [Document Here]
As an uncontrolled Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard is a threat to those interests deep inside our government who weaponize intelligence information in order to control foreign policy outcomes.
To grasp the extent of the problems this weaponized intelligence represents, we must remember how the intelligence and foreign policy establishment work through their media aligned operatives to keep President Donald Trump inside a box as it relates to his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The foreign policy embeds, which includes the CIA, always want to retain control of outcomes and they will do anything to maintain their influence.
Having previously used the restaurant analogy to describe the State Dept and CIA operations, as this situation continues to unfold, there is very strong data aligning that shows Israeli intelligence is much more than just a table in the CIA kitchen.
Because this data alignment is now significant, we cannot dismiss reports outlining that CIA Director John Ratcliffe used raw, unvetted Israeli intelligence to advise President Trump about the Iranian nuclear status [SEE HERE]. In fact, the timing of the deep state attacks against DNI Tulsi Gabbard align perfectly with the sourcing conflicts in briefing material.
Big Picture Dynamic – The essential concern is that CIA Director John Ratcliffe was using raw Israeli intelligence to tell President Trump Iran was only a few days away from a nuclear weapon, whereas DNI Tulsi Gabbard would be looking at U.S. intelligence that was not slanted toward achieving the immediate objectives of Israel.
The intelligence conflict plays out differently in the media as the deep state pushes a personality narrative, while Israel-First embeds freeze DNI Gabbard out of the actionable influence. There is a lot of Machiavellian nuance inside this game of power and control, and none of it is good. President Trump is bombarded with, “Who are you going to believe” type questions, and that is exactly what we saw play out.
Yes, the overall concern about Iran having nuclear weapons is first and foremost. As evidenced in the perspectives and action by President Trump trump, this larger issue dynamic ultimately determined his approach – REMOVE THE THREAT.
In the aftermath of “Operation Midnight Hammer”, President Trump wants to move on to other affairs of large consequence to his domestic and foreign policy objectives. However, those objectives are not in alignment with what DC and the Intelligence Community want to see done.
The Intelligence Community (IC) want President Trump back in the control box reacting only to their interests in the manner they construct for him to react. This is why the IC are pushing a narrative that Operation Midnight Hammer did not destroy the Iran nuclear threat, and President Trump is forcefully refusing to go back into the control box by saying Operation Midnight Hammer was a resounding success.
This is the context, the control battle that is taking place in the headlines, and every element is connected to this larger dynamic.
Without too much question, the CIA and Israeli intelligence network have such a symbiotic relationship it is almost impossible to tell them apart. The goals, objectives and priorities of the CIA are the goals, objectives and priorities of Israel. Watch closely with clear eyes and you will easily see this dynamic.
Today, “Iran’s parliament has passed a bill halting cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).” The measure will bar IAEA inspectors from accessing Iran until the security of its nuclear facilities is ensured. [link] This is a move that assists President Trump in not getting pulled back into the global intelligence control box. It is a move by Iran that I fully support, because it aligns with America First interests.
As former Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI), current Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Marco Rubio knows every element in this IC construct. Rubio’s first move was to dissolve USAID, remember that.

President Trump and his national security team held a meeting with NATO Sec.-Gen. Mark Rutte during the 2025 NATO Summit in the Hague, Netherlands, and took questions from the media.
Interestingly, NATO Secretary Mark Rutte emphasizes the new commitment from Canada repeatedly. As one of the worst offenders to adhere to their NATO obligations, and against the backdrop of tariffs and targeted trade negotiations, obviously Canada is trying to position themselves against the Trump economic agenda.
Secondly, the emphasis is again on the damage assessment from the U.S. bombing of the Iran nuclear facilities. This is critical for President Trump to break free of the intelligence community control over U.S. foreign policy expanded in the next outline. WATCH:

Representative Al Green’s effort to impeach President Trump over the nuclear strikes in Iran failed miserably. Even the majority of Democrats would not go along with it. Caveman big sad.
WASHINGTON DC – Most House Democrats joined with Republicans on Tuesday to quash an effort to impeach President Donald Trump over his weekend Iran strikes.
Rep. Al Green’s impeachment resolution was tabled on a 344-79 vote, with 128 Democrats joining all 216 Republicans to kill the measure.
Those included House Democratic leaders, who have been wary of pursuing new impeachments after two prior Trump impeachments failed during his first term. Still, dozens of Democrats voted to keep Green’s resolution alive. (read more)

Cautious optimism is warranted, however it looks like Senate Majority Leader John Thune is pushing hard to hit the deadlines set by President Trump for passage of the Big Beautiful Bill (BBB) reconciliation package.
Speaking today right before a meeting with House Speaker Mike Johnson, Senator Thune noted he is optimistic the Senate can finalize their negotiations on the BBB over the next two days, setting up the Senate to hold their first cloture votes on Friday and a vote-a-rama through the weekend.
President Trump is still assisting Leader Thune with phone calls to Senate republicans between foreign policy engagements. Trump is only staying in the Netherlands for 24 hours so he can quickly get back to DC to assist in any arm-twisting needed by Thune or Johnson.
According to Politico, House Speaker Mike Johnson has cautioned House representatives to stay in town this weekend and be prepared to reconcile both bills and vote on the package as soon as it exits the Senate. As many of you are aware, this is a critical legislative package containing a large amount of President Trump’s America First policy priorities.
As things stand right now, it looks like Thune is going to try and get the package into voting position on Friday, with immediate votes to take place. We are critical of Thune when warranted, but should also appreciate the work of the Majority Leader when he is structurally supportive of the MAGA agenda.
(Via Axios) – Senate Majority Leader John Thune expects to start voting Friday on President Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill,” he told Axios in an exclusive interview on Tuesday.
Why it matters: This would have them voting into the weekend, and it would upend the House’s recess next week. But Thune (R-S.D.) is confident Congress will meet its self-imposed July 4 deadline to get a bill on Trump’s desk.
Thune said Friday was looking more likely for an initial vote than Thursday, setting up the potential for a weekend slog.
“I think we get on it, and then we will plow through, and we’ll get into vote-a-rama and grind it out until — until whenever,” the leader said. “It’s just the nature of the beast at the end.”
Johnson told House Republicans “not to leave town” this weekend in case the Senate gets a bill passed, Politico reported Tuesday. (read more)
We anticipate that once the BBB is completed, obviously there will be a celebration – a news cycle for the White House and legislative leadership to promote & celebrate, and then President Trump will likely shift straight into the details of the trade agreements being constructed in the background by Secretary Lutnick, Secretary Bessent and USTR Jamieson Greer.
As the trade aspect is underway from the oval office, expect Secretary Rubio and Steve Witkoff to be reengaged with Ukraine-Russia. By mid July we should see multiple announcements of trade agreements, while simultaneously the foreign policy focus of Rubio and Witkoff should start to materialize into substantive change.

The NATO summit begins officially tonight in the Hague, Netherlands. However, most of the NATO members arrived early so their collective assembly could strategize a defense against the arrival of Godzilla Trump.
Unfortunately, Godzilla Trump began his journey to the EU today by using a very emphatic F-bomb directed at Iran and Israel. Netanyahu promptly apologized, reversed his antagonistic enterprise and ducked for cover. A grouchy Godzilla is not what the EU leaders want to be facing. Grimaces abound.
To appease the painfully, brutally and uncomfortably honest President Trump the EU have agreed among themselves to increase their defense spending quickly, to the very Trumpian 5% of GDP with 3.5% spent on direct military arms.

Great Britain – LONDON — Keir Starmer has confirmed the U.K. will hit NATO’s target of spending 5 percent of GDP on defense by 2035 as he prepares to meet other western leaders in The Hague. The British prime minister hailed the move as “an opportunity to deepen our commitment to NATO and drive greater investment in the nation’s wider security.”
Making the pledge alongside the publication of a new national security strategy, Starmer specified the U.K. was on course to reach 4.1 percent of GDP on defense by 2027. (read more)
