No honor among the thieves
Luke and Jo Anne Livingston, former director and producer of our PolitiChicks studio show, have been working with Tea Party Patriots on a documentary about the influx of illegals across the U.S. Jo Anne just posted a statement about their findings on her Facebook page and she has given me permission to share it here. From Jo Anne:
“Just arriving home from two solid days of interviewing experts on this immigration crisis. Numbers USA executive director, Center for Immigration Studies, director, Rep Steve King, Rep Louis Gohmert ( Texas) who has spent several of the last weekends on the border TALKING TO THE IMMIGRANTS THEMSELVES! Luke spent 8 days on the border. We talked to a doctor about the diseases coming in unchecked by any medical personnel. Today I SAW the legislation trying to get pushed thru that says that Eric Holder will appoint judges to hear these cases and the bill states that IF they do not appear for their hearing, the judge has no authority to issue arrests warrants or fines. The judge can only set another hearing and another hearing and another hearing into infinity. YOU DON’T get that deal for failing to appear in court! Why would ANYONE WANT these people to come here? Because before the LAST election, the illegals were handed voter registrations and told they would be sent to states with NO ID check for voting. If they did not show up and vote the democratic ticket, they would be arrested and deported. I am NOT making this stuff up! We have turned over every rock investigating this stuff and have witness after witness after witness testifying to this to it. For the sake of PETE! Pay attention AMERICA!!!”

With the U.S. budget and financial issues being as dismal as they are, the Pentagon is preparing to cut billions of dollars from its budget, reducing military spending, forces and weapons program. The cuts, according to NBC will put American military forces to its lowest level prior to World War II.
The budget cuts will come at a price according to U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel: “As a consequence of large budget cuts, our future force will assume additional risk in certain areas,” Hagel said, citing gaps in training and maintenance and a smaller force that would be stretched thin if major conflicts broke out in several places at once.
I thought we were already stretched pretty thin. Talk about a nation that sacrifices for the well-being of other nations. We give up so much that our own security is of greater risk. This can only place…

Ben Carson: Americans Should Prepare to Defend Against Aggressive Government

Americans should be prepared to defend themselves against an “overly aggressive government,” and the Constitution’s Second Amendment recognizes their right to do this very thing. So says pediatric neurosurgeon, best-selling author, conservative advocate and nationally known speaker Dr. Ben Carson, who is no stranger to standing up for liberty.
During a recent summit, Carson called the right to bear arms “vitally important” and said any efforts to confiscate weapons are efforts that should never be allowed in America. Many who agree with Carson on this and other issues are hoping he will make a direct foray into politics.
Regardless of whether that happens, Alex McFarland, who will be hosting Carson as a headline speaker at this year’s Truth for a New Generation (TNG) annual apologetics conference, says it is the job of all freedom-loving Americans to take the same stand as Carson in defending our God-given liberties.
“Today’s public debate is no longer over what policies best advance life and liberty; today’s debate is over whether life and liberty are even rights that should be protected. This is both appalling and frightening. Our nation’s Founding Fathers pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor for liberty,” McFarland said. “And throughout our history, men and women have literally laid down their lives for freedom. And now, by allowing an overarching and over-encroaching government to exert more and more control over our lives, some are now saying that freedom simply isn’t worth fighting for. I disagree. And thankfully, millions of other Americans also disagree.
“At Truth for a New Generation, speakers like Dr. Ben Carson will equip Christians to recognize that our life and liberty are gifts from God and that they are worth understanding, worth defending, and worth fighting for,” he concluded.

Over the past few years, agencies under the Obama administration have been commencing full scale raids on individual farmers, as well as on family farms, under the auspices of non-legislative regulation created by the ATF, EPA, and FDA. These raids focused on several agricultural areas that included the sale of raw milk, grazing on federal lands, water collection and usage, and the raising of certain categories of swine. On April 23rd however, the stakes got much higher for the individual farmer as the FDA is now using the terrorist based “Bank Secrecy Act” as justification to invade, investigate, and even confiscate the bank accounts of Americans in the agricultural business.

A system of checks and balances was built within the Constitution to protect us against tyranny .
The Executive, the Judicial and the Legislative branches of our United States Government is a checks and balance system, right? This C & B system really does work, when there are responsible people executing the responsibilities and duties of each branch. John Adams said, “Only by balancing each against the other two could freedom be preserved.”.
The best example of a dysfunctional government is the one we have today. The Legislative and Executive Branches are good at pointing the finger and giving the middle one to the other, but take little action.
