If Rush Limbaugh’s Thoughts on Holder’s Resignation Turn out to be True, America is in Big Trouble

I agree with WTF and Rush

At least I’m not the only one thinking it.

There have been calls for the ousting of Eric Holder, activist attorney general who operates more like Obama’s personal lawyer, from office for quite some time. His tenure has been plagued with scandal after scandal and Holder’s defiant attitude is not what one would expect from the man who is supposed to represent America and the constitutional best interests of American citizens. As the first sitting Attorney General to be held in contempt of Congress, Holder has obstructed justice and, when he sought to get justice, it was selectively applied depending upon ethnicity.

By his own admission, he is an activist, even while occupying the position that leads the Department of Justice.

The announcement of his resignation, which will officially take place as soon as his successor is found, came as a surprise to many. While some rejoiced, others speculated reasons…

1st lawsuit filed over immigration law enforcement

I wonder how many other laws this will apply too?

deacon303's avatarWhiskey Tango Foxtrot

A Mexican woman who claims her five-day detention at a federal immigration office was an illegal arrest filed the first lawsuit challenging enforcement of Arizona’s landmark immigration enforcement law.

Opponents of the 2010 law have already filed lawsuits that questioned the constitutionality of the law’s provisions, but Thursday’s filing by Maria del Rosario Cortes Camacho marks a new type of challenge that alleges constitutional violations in how a police agency enforced the law.

Cortes, a domestic violence victim who had applied for a visa allowing her to remain in the U.S. to assist authorities with the case, alleged two Pinal County sheriff’s deputies had unreasonably prolonged the length of a September 2012 traffic stop that was prompted by her cracked windshield. She also accuses the officers of making an illegal arrest by bringing her in handcuffs to a Border Patrol office about 13 miles away where she was detained for…

Ebola Crisis: Yes, We Need To Help But Is Obama Ready To Keep Americans Safe?

FSM_Betsy-McCaughey_20130410By Betsy McCaughey, PhD ~

20140806_EbolaAmericansAmerica is silently acquiescing to President Obama’s extraordinarily expensive and flawed plan to fight Ebola in West Africa.  On Tuesday, Obama announced he is committing $763 million dollars and 3,000 military personnel to taming the outbreak that so far has killed 2,400 people.

Though help is urgently needed there, the plan does too little to protect Americans.

Obama said nothing about temporarily banning commercial air travel between the U.S. and West Africa, in order to help prevent Ebola from coming here. Some 220,000 residents of West African countries have visas that permit them to enter the United States.  As the disease increases exponentially, the likelihood also increases that a person carrying Ebola, perhaps unknowingly, travels to the United States before symptom’s appear.  Northeastern University professor Allesandra Vespignanini and his research team have developed a computerized risk assessment based on travel patterns, and pegs the risk at no…

Middle School Reading Lists 100 Years Ago vs. Today

Dumb them down so that can’t think and then you can control them!

deacon303's avatarWhiskey Tango Foxtrot

In examining these lists, I noticed three important differences between the reading content of these two eras:

1. Time Period

One of the striking features of the Edina list is how recent the titles are. Many of the selections were published in the 21st century. In fact, only four of the selections are more than 20 years old.

In comparison, over half of the titles on the first list were at least 20 years old in 1908, with many of them averaging between 50 to 100 years old.

Older is not necessarily better, but the books on the first list suggest that schools of the past were more likely to give their students time-tested, classic literature, rather than books whose popularity may happen to be a passing fad.

2. Thematic Elements

A second striking difference between the two book lists are the themes they explore. The first is full of…

There are only two possible legal basis which are one a UN detraction of war or two the US congress voting on and approving a declaration of war. If that is not done then it becomes an invasion and if Russia takes offense to bombing his client state it is not good.t
