One Man Stands Alone

In the two months since George Floyd was killed by a white Minneapolis police officer, the world has changed significantly. For example, major businesses in America are fully onboard with the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement as almost 300 top corporations have pledged support for the cause. These corporate leaders have been joined by all the professional sports franchises and political leaders of both parties have expressed solidarity with BLM.

Any expression of “All Lives Matter” has been deemed to be racist. For example, a Sacramento Kings broadcaster lost his job for tweeting “All Lives Matter.” In New Orleans, a Mardi Gras krewe captain faced intense criticism and the defection of members and bands from her parade for issuing a similar message online. A New Orleans area teacher was fired because her husband admitted to painting “We All Matter” and other non-racist slogans on his fence. It seems clear that in the politically correct climate today, everyone must express support for BLM or face a withering backlash.

Karl Marx is the founder of communism, a system of government that survives by fully destroying the freedom of its citizens. People living in communist countries have no human rights and exist only to serve the all-powerful state. Today, communist governments endure in North Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cuba, and China.

All these countries repress their people and deprive them of basic freedoms such as the right to speak, assemble, petition, and practice their religious faith. These barbaric practices have existed in all communist nations since the overthrow of the Czar in Russia in 1917 and the eventual formation of the Soviet Union. Since that time, communist dictators have killed at least 100 million innocent people throughout the world.

Unfortunately, the media does not allow any mention of the Marxist origins of BLM or any criticism of the organization. Any courageous critics will be labeled a racist. Understandably, most people fear being given such a label, so they will refuse to give their honest opinion and just appease the mob to protect their job and their family.

The stampede to support BLM has been seen in every sports league over the last few months. Americans used to be able to enjoy sporting events without being lectured about their political beliefs. It used to be a nice diversion from the pressures of everyday life. Unfortunately, those days are long gone. Today, sports are just one more area of life that has been overtaken by social justice warriors.

The NBA has painted Black Lives Matter next to their court in the “bubble” in Orlando. The NFL has expressed support and will play the “Black National Anthem” prior to the National Anthem during the first week of games this season. In Major League Soccer, players raised their fist and knelt in support of BLM at the opening of their season.

The acceptance of this Marxist group has been especially apparent in Major League Baseball. Members of the Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants knelt during exhibition games. In Boston, the Red Sox just unveiled a massive Black Lives Matter billboard right outside of Fenway Park.

On Thursday night, before the opening game of the season, all the players with the New York Yankees and Washington Nationals knelt before and during the National Anthem. However, in the San Francisco Giants game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, all the players knelt prior to the National Anthem, except one lonely “Christian.”

The player who refused to kneel was Giants relief pitcher Sam Coonrod, a true hero. In an interview after the game, Coonrod explained his refusal to join his teammates by claiming that he “can’t kneel before anything besides God.”

Such a courageous stand needs to be applauded. Usually, a player, such as Saints Quarterback Drew Brees, who expresses support for standing for the National Anthem, will cave after strong criticism. Eventually, Brees and his wife apologized multiple times.

Coonrod took the road less traveled. He explained his opposition to BLM by noting “I’m a Christian, like I said, and I just can’t get on board with a couple of things that I have read about Black Lives Matter. How they lean towards Marxism and they have said some negative things about the nuclear family. I just can’t get on board with that.”

Fortunately, Gabe Kapler, the manager of the Giants, supported Coonrod’s decision. He said that players were going to be able to “express themselves.”  He also noted “We were going to give them the choice on whether they were going to stand, kneel, or do something else. That was a personal decision for Sam.”

This “personal decision” is quite exceptional in the environment we live in today. Congratulations to a rare breed indeed, a player who truly stands alone.

Soap Opera Love-In Hits the Biden Campaign Trail

It’s got to be the gooiest Soap Opera of all presidential campaigns—the first ever event with Joe Biden and Barack Obama teamed up on a split screen in the 2020 campaign.

“Love you Joe,” Mr. Obama signed off.

“Love you too, pal,” Mr. Biden said.

‘Hate you Mr. Trump’ was only felt—as it has been for the past four years—so didn’t have to be said directly.

With that kind of love will Biden, if elected 2020 president, allow Obama run the White House show by providing his former beloved boss his still coveted Third Term?

Nothing much to be seen on television during the long days and nights of government-mandated lockdowns,  and showmen Obama and Biden know that more than most.

“Former President Barack Obama and his vice president, Joseph R. Biden Jr., on Tuesday held their first joint event of the 2020 campaign, where Mr. Obama warned Democrats against becoming complacent about the presidential election and offered an unusually direct and detailed rebuke of President Trump.” (New York Times, June 23, Updated: July 23, 2020)

“The split-screen appearance of the presumptive Democratic nominee and his former boss came as Mr. Biden has enjoyed a run of strong fund-raising, while a spate of recent polls have shown him holding as much as a double-digit lead over Mr. Trump. Mr. Biden’s campaign announced Tuesday that the event had raised $7.6 million from 175,000 grass-roots contributors.

“But Mr. Obama instructed the 120,000 people who logged on to watch that they must not take the election for granted.

“We can’t be complacent or smug or sense that somehow it’s so obvious that this president hasn’t done a good job, because look, he won once,” Mr. Obama said.

“This is serious business,” he added. “Whatever you’ve done so far is not enough. And I hold myself and Michelle and our kids to that same standard.”

And God only knows that the Obamas always put themselves first.

Sneaky, covert Obama, who’s really been running for the 2020 election since the first day after Donald Trump’s Inauguration, has finally come out of hiding as “Resistance” leader out into the open.

Black Lives Matter and Antifa will see the return of Obama to the White House as poetic justice.

“Throughout their joint appearance, which ran a little over an hour, Mr. Obama — who speaks infrequently about Mr. Trump — praised Mr. Biden’s character and experience, and cast the president as a grave threat to the character and values of the nation. (NYT)

“He said that Mr. Trump exploited and amplified divisions, and expressed concerns about the example he was setting on the world stage, citing his “militarized response to peaceful demonstrators” and saying he “basically threatens and consistently impugns the free press.”

“Such an approach, he suggested, emboldened dictators around the world who may doubt they will be held to account by the United States.”

“Exploited and amplified divisions”? “militarized response to peaceful demonstrators”?

How’s that for Marxist Projection 101?

The coronavirus outbreak is a perfect cover to run an election campaign in cyberspace.

“Poor Dr. Fauci, who’s having to, you know, testify and then see his advice flouted by the person he’s working for,” Mr. Obama said.”

“In April, after Mr. Biden had effectively wrapped up the Democratic nomination, Mr. Obama released a video endorsing his former running mate, urging party unity around Mr. Biden’s candidacy and making overtures in particular to the younger, liberal supporters of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

“On Tuesday, he spoke directly to younger Americans who are pressing for structural changes to address matters from racism to economic inequality to global warming.

“There is a “great awakening” among young people in particular, he said, who are “fed up with the shambolic, disorganized, mean-spirited approach” to governance in recent years, and want to tackle “some of the core challenges that have been facing this country for centuries.”

Don’t those centuries include the eight long years Obama was in the Oval Office but failed to deliver on his promise for ‘Hope and Change’?

Biden, who seems to be running his presidential race for the election of Barack Hussein Obama, already thinks his former boss is already president.

“He also spoke passionately about the need to fight racism and spoke expansively about the evolution of civil rights in America. In the 1960s, he said, white Americans saw shocking images of the police like Alabama’s Bull Connor attacking black Americans with fire hoses, “and they’re going, ‘Oh my God. It really is happening.’ They saw it in black and white, no pun intended, because that’s what most TVs were at the time.”

“In contrast to the 1960s, he said, when it comes to civil rights and civic engagement, “this time around there is a much broader participation.”

“That level of engagement gave both Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden hope, they said.”

The level of engagement may give both Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden hope—but it gives millions of Americans a chill down their spines.

This is one love fest aiming to put Obama back in the White House for a third term and seeking revenge for Hillary Clinton who never got over her humiliating loss to Donald Trump in 2016.

Meanwhile ‘Days of Our Lives’ is a much better Soap Opera than the Joey &  Barry Show.

The BLM-Biden-Obama Bandwagon

If Joe Biden is the best the Democrat Party has to offer their constituents as the best candidate for POTUS, Democrats are in serious trouble. But, are they? Except for the seemingly endless investigations into the Deep State coup d’état, and except for the recent autocracy of Democrat governors of states imposing their unconstitutional lockdown mandates on their residents, and except for the major ineptitude of the Democrat mayors of major cities in the United States in handling, or enabling, the Marxist insurrection currently underway, it seems their candidate may be doing just fine. He may be the best foot forward for the Democrats in 2020. Those concerned with his apparent ineptitude and grip on reality must look at the bigger picture.

By election time, only Black lives matter. And, to appease their white guilt the Democrat leaders will provide a black female as their candidate for Vice-President

Joe Biden is safe—no chance of being exposed to COVID-19, as he is just like many others who are just average Americans; just an average Joe who is safer in his basement—under lockdown orders from a Democrat leader. He is also easy to “handle”——he represents average Americans who really do not know too much about the economy, or politics, or even reality for that matter. In fact, Joe Biden may resemble his nationwide constituents in several vital ways. He certainly will listen to and believe in all that the mainstream media expect him to believe about their news reporting. And, if he gets confused about the true words of the Declaration of Independence, the MSM will bail him out. In fact, it is in their job description to bail out any and all Democrat leaders. So, no real problem with Joe Biden running for POTUS, come to think of it.

In fact, it makes much more sense when examined in the proper light. When American citizens in major cities get tired of the “Feds” interfering in the soft, made for television Marxist uprising or insurrection, they will be overjoyed with a non-Fed Fed becoming POTUS. Most will not have any concerns that he has been a Fed for several decades because they will be tired of the red Feds and be overjoyed to elect a blue Fed. It won’t matter. In fact, the only thing that will need to be understood at the time of the election is that Black lives matter. All citizens will know that by election time, only Black lives matter. And, to appease their white guilt the Democrat leaders will provide a black female as their candidate for Vice-President.

How is it that this all makes sense now?

Actually, one has to use the trick of transparency that former President Obama promised his Administration would provide while in office. Of course, he was not able to provide complete transparency during his tenure as POTUS, but that does not matter now. Only black lives Matter; remember?

Of course, there are variations on this theme. For instance, Joe Biden would likely say that Black lives matter only when they vote for Democrats; otherwise, those who are Black are “not really black.” Black Lives Matter terrorists and a majority of their supporters would say that indeed Black lives matter, but only after a Black person’s life has been taken by a White police officer (not just any color of a police officer) it has to be a White police officer. And, it must be clarified that Black unborn babies in the mother’s womb truly do not matter because there are exponentially more lives of black babies lost each year than the black lives that are lost due to a White police officer.

Additionally, it must be clear only such Black lives matter in those circumstances, and it is only after the person dies that their life then matters. Also, it must be clear that all lives do not matter because if a Black Lives Matter supporter hears those words, it could be hazardous to the total health of the speaker. Unfortunately, it took a courageous young white girl to be proof of that by being shot dead for vocalizing “all lives matter.” Long live the memory of Jessica Doty Whitaker.

What Americans may have realized by now is that former President Obama also wants to live long in citizens’ memories because he is still organizing for “hope and change” for America. His Organizing for Action is still organizing for Obama’s fundamental change to America. Actually, citizens should be grateful that former President Obama is providing transparency as he leads the shadow government from his home in Washington, D.C. It is actually taking quite a long time to investigate how his Administration actively spied on candidate Donald Trump’s campaign due to the lack of transparency, but that is more than made up for by the fingerprints he is leaving in the upheaval occurring now.

Can one honestly now wonder why the MSM is describing homegrown terrorist organizations as “peaceful protestors”

Just as former President Obama announced to the world while he traveled to Egypt, not long after he took office, that the United States was no longer a Christian nation. It was quite a bold announcement to the non-Christian people of the world—especially to Muslim militants as well as atheistic anarchists who had great interest in testing whether Obama’s assertion was literally true. And, often when a Muslim terrorist attack occurred in the U.S., the MSM did not label the attacks as militant Muslim inspired attacks because that would test the tolerance of the Christian community. Instead, those events were labeled “man-made disasters,” or “isolated events,” and genuine evidence of gun initiated violence that had to be curtailed.

So today, that which happened during Obama’s Administration that was not readily transparent can now be easily seen through the magic of “transferred transparency.” Can one honestly now wonder why the MSM is describing homegrown terrorist organizations as “peaceful protestors,” who once in a while may let off a little steam. Is it any wonder that Democrat governors have mandated that any churches that dare to open, will not permit honest to goodness worshipping of God during the Sunday services? Is it any wonder that Democrat mayors have a very “light touch” in responding to the violence in their cities? This is not random mayors in random cities, and this is not random governors in random states. These are Democrat mayors and Democrat governors, and it all bears the fingerprints of the former POTUS.

Why should one wonder when Democrat mayors and Democrat governors have condemned the efforts of peaceful protests from Christians over opening their churches, from conservatives over opening their businesses, and from patriots over losing their freedoms; yet, those same political figures condone the violent protests of the angry mobs that loot and trash and burn? It is known that former President Obama met with the leaders of the BLM effort and praised their “work” in the community. It is also known that he appreciated the participation of the New Black Panther Party when they were charged with intimidating citizen voters at the polls. Remember, it is only black lives that matter? In the magic of “transferred transparency,” these events bear the fingerprints of the former POTUS.

Why should one wonder when former President Obama is helping his former vice-president to get elected to POTUS? And, by the time Americans have been thoroughly indoctrinated that only Black lives matter, former President Obama will likely help Joe Biden once more: by suggesting that Michelle Obama be his running mate. So, come to think of it, Joe Biden might just be the best candidate for the Democrats in 2020. It is truly the only way the former president can take his “rightful position as the “true leader” of the United States once again. Finally then, everyone will fully realize that only Black Communist Presidents Matter.

America’s Misguided Children

Imust ask, what does the destruction of statues of abolitionists have to do with George Floyd?

OK, yes, that is the pure definition of a rhetorical question; it has nothing to do with it. And therein lies the crux of what is happening in America. The misguided children, and that reference is not based upon age, but rather level of rational competence, have taken a totally unrelated event and leveraged it for an ideological agenda that embraces violence. The nation was appalled at the George Floyd murder. However, the rational inquiry that should be made is, what does tearing down the statue of Frederick Douglass or Abraham Lincoln have to do with George Floyd?

Clear and present delusion of America’s misguided children

Matter of fact, what do Christopher Columbus, Teddy Roosevelt, or the Washington Redskins have to do with George Floyd? None of those whom I reference wore a Minneapolis police officer uniform and certainly have not been charged and sit in jail awaiting a court date.

Only the irrational, misguided children of the progressive, socialist left would deduce that the way to respond to that tragedy is with violence. And so, business owners who had nothing to do with George Floyd are having their livelihoods assailed, looted.

Then, America’s misguided children respond by saying, “what’s the big deal, they have insurance?” This is the infantile, delusional mind of leftists that justify their brand of violence and mobocracy by saying “you can pay for the damage we inflicted yourself.” I guess they do not understand the effect of their lunacy on insurance premiums increasing.

Just this past week, Minneapolis and Burlington, Vt. declared that racism is a public health emergency.

Oh boy, another “pandemic,” what shall we do now, be forced to wear BLM face coverings? Is there going to be a rush for a vaccine to end the public health emergency called racism? Can I go to my local pharmacy and get an over-the-counter drug to curtail the symptoms of racism? Ahh, maybe a band-aid will do.

Yes, I jest, but one can only laugh and use a little humor to offset the clear and present delusion of America’s misguided children.

Misguided temper tantrums

In cities like Chicago and New York City, crimes, shootings, and murders are on the rise, but two of the left’s most prominent misguided children, Mayors Lightfoot and de Blasio, blame COVID-19. I have yet to hear either of these two take a stand against the leftist violence plaguing our streets. Matter of fact, de Blasio went so far as to assist in painting a BLM mural on Fifth Avenue in NYC…after all, Marxist misguided children tend to flock together. And in Chicago, the black-on-black crime is genocidal, far more than the 2019 statistic of only 15 unarmed black men being shot by police officers. But BLM nor Mayor Lightfoot are taking any actions in Chicago.

See, the misguided children get angry, abjectly enraged, when you refuse to follow along with their misguided temper tantrums. You become the problem…did I mention George Floyd?

Speaking of childish temper tantrums, in Portland Ore., the violence is running rampant in the streets. And what is the response of the mayor of Portland? Try to get things under control? Ask for assistance? Nah, this misguided child lashes out at the federal government which was attempting to restore law and order and serve and protect the citizens of Portland from the mob.

More misguided children.

We watched what happened in CHOP/CHAZ, whatever you call it, in Seattle. The mayor there, a misguided child herself, allowed this little “Lord of the Flies” endeavor to happen. She referred to the place as festive, until what we knew would happen, happened. And it happened that young black men lost their lives, shot, murdered, again…but no BLM protest. So, the Seattle mayor moves in the police to restore law and order. Now, the misguided children have turned on her and demand her being recalled.

Lesson learned: you cannot appease, compromise, negotiate, or acquiesce to the misguided children

But probably the biggest indicator of America’s misguided children comes from a city not far from where I went to college: Asheville, North Carolina. In Asheville, they have decided to issue reparations to descendants of slaves…after all, it was a Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, who freed the slaves. Did I mention that the misguided children want to destroy and take down Lincoln’s statue? He apparently didn’t do enough for blacks.

So, who writes the check to who in Asheville, NC? I can almost guarantee you that there is no one alive in Asheville that has ever owned slaves. Heck, I do not think you can find anyone in Asheville, NC that was a slave. The only slaves in America today are those economically enslaved to the Democrat Party because of their welfare nanny-state policies and programs. Yet the misguided children align themselves with the party of the “soft bigotry of low expectations” that still views blacks as nothing more than descendants of slaves.

How utterly disgusting.

We should not be allowing the misguided children to run the amusement park. Where are the adults, the grown-ups, who instill guidance, rational thought, discipline, wisdom, and discernment? Who will step in and be the statesman, stateswoman?

The sad reality is that very few are finding the resolve, intestinal fortitude, and character to confront America’s misguided children. And if that continues to happen, they become useful idiots…and we lose a country.

Lance LeGume, President of the National Redskin Peanut Growers Association, in a recent exclusive interview with Ace Reporter Hugh Betcha of the Canada Free Press, announced a stunning new development: the Washington Redskins football franchise will be soon be purchased by the National Redskin Peanut Growers Association for an undisclosed sum which will allow the franchise to retain the franchise name and change the team logo slightly to remove any suggestion of political incorrectness.

“It is a win-win,” announced LeGume as he held up a helmet displaying the new logo: the ubiquitous and tasty redskin peanut. “We keep the famous and revered name, and get free publicity for our wonderful product each time the team takes the field. Everyone is reminded of this tasty snack, everyone is happy, and no one is offended. Who does not love redskin peanuts?”

But when asked for comment on this new development, Nancy Pelosi reacted with an outburst of anger typically reserved for anything that Donald Trump does.

“This is just one more example of the right wing, racist Republicans’ attempt to smear an entire race of people, which must be stopped,” she yelled as she slammed his fist on the desk.  “We are going to introduce new legislation to block it,” she said.

“You mean the sale of the franchise?” Hugh inquired.

“No,” replied Pelosi, “the word ‘redskins’. It is inherently offensive. You may change the logo, but people will still see the peanut and hear the word and be reminded that there are people out there with red skin, and someone, somewhere, somehow is still going to be offended. This is why I do not even eat the damn things anymore. Every time I ate a redskins peanut I was reminded of our treatment of Native Americans over the years.”

Nonplussed,  Hugh terminated the interview and filed this report.

In a related, fast-breaking story, Pelosi announced today that the House will take up legislation banning certain words or phrases, among them: “white bread,” “white milk,” “White House,” “Snow White,” “White Christmas,” and other equally offensive words or phrases too numerous to repeat here….

The Democrat Donkey Race heading down the trail for Election 2020 is off to a start with Joe Biden, former bartender Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and a badly reconfigured Kamala Harris are now ‘Off to See The Wizard, the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Their campaign theme song should be a full-throated ‘If Joe Only Had a Brain’.

The entire electorate will soon hear Joe singing:

…”I could while away the hours
Dreamin’ of new powers
Watch America circlin’ the drain.

“Kamala’s hair I’ll be sniffin’
while common sense I’m missin’
If I only had a brain”….

With the Straw Man’s refrain droning non-stop through our tired-of-mask-wearing heads, some of us are singing, ‘Without a brain, Joe Biden simply cannot reign’.

But Straw Man Joe’s only the center of this comical little trio now skipping ‘Off to see the Wizard’.

Kamala Harris (yes, that’s really who debuted her ‘new look’ during Saturday’s interview with the Rev. Al Sharpton!) is barely recognizable in a new plastic surgery makeover that seems to outdo Lizzy Warren’s cherished high cheek bones, but even with that freaky new look, underneath all her rearranged skin, Kamala’s still really the same old, same old.

Last week, Joe Biden released his unity platform, developed with socialist Bernie Sanders, describing what he would do if elected President.  The Biden-Sanders agenda is — agenda is the most extreme platform of any major party nominee, by far, in American history.  I think it’s worse than, actually, Bernie’s platform; it’s gone so far right.  And he’s doing that because he’s begging for their vote.

But one of the things I just asked my people to do is just draw up for me, just quickly, some of the things that we’ve been hearing about over the last couple of weeks.  And these are actual key elements of the Biden-Sanders unity platform:

  • Abolish immigration detention
  • Stop all deportation
  • End prosecution of illegal border crossers
  • Support the deadly sanctuary cities
  • Incentivize illegal-alien child smuggling
  • Expand asylum for all new illegal aliens
  • Cancel all asylum cooperation agreements in the Western Hemisphere
  • Taxpayer-funded lawyers will be given to all illegal aliens
  • Abolish immigration enforcement against illegal workers
  • Grant work permits for illegal aliens
  • Provide taxpayer subsidies and welfare for illegal aliens and new immigrants
  • Federal Student Aid and free community college for illegal aliens
  • Sign new immigrants up for welfare immediately
  • End requirement for immigrants’ self-sufficiency and maximize their welfare
  • End all travel bans
  • Grant mass amnesty
  • Vastly expand low-skilled immigration to the United States
  • Increase refugee admissions by 700 percent
  • Abolish law enforcement as we know it
  • End cash bail
  • Abolish completely the death penalty
  • Appoint social justice prosecutors in order to free violent criminals
  • End mandatory minimums
  • Incentivize prison closure
  • Abolish our police departments
  • End solitary confinement
  • Free federal housing for former inmates
  • Rejoin Paris Climate Accord

Fed-X Assassin Dead – AG Bill Barr Releases Statement…

The man who dressed as a Fed-X driver and attempted to assassinate Federal Judge Esther Salas has been found dead of an apparent ‘self-inflicted’ gunshot wound.

New Jersey […] The suspect was a white man who wore a face covering and a FedEx uniform, law enforcement sources told ABC News, and he used an ordinary car to make a getaway.

[…] The suspect was later found dead of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound near Liberty, New York, multiple law enforcement sources told ABC News. A municipal employee discovered the body in a car.

The deceased suspect was an attorney who had a case before Judge Salas in 2015, sources said. A FedEx package addressed to Judge Salas was discovered in the car, sources said.

“As a judge, she had threats from time to time, but everyone is saying that recently there had not been any,” said Mayor Womack, who is personal friends with the judge and her husband.  (read more)

Targeted Attempted Assassination – Family of Federal Judge Gunned Down in Their NJ Home – Massive Manhunt Underway…

The husband and son of Federal Judge Esther Salas were gunned down in their home this afternoon in a targeted attack.  The gunman rang the doorbell, Judge Salas’s husband, Mark Anderl, opened door and was immediately shot.  Her son ran to protect his father and he too was shot.  Both are in critical condition. Please lift up this family in prayer.

NBC New York –  The husband and son of a New Jersey federal judge were shot at their home Sunday afternoon, and a massive law enforcement response is underway.

Three senior law enforcement officials tell News 4 New York that a gunman shot Judge Esther Salas’s spouse and child at their North Brunswick home around 5 p.m. Sunday. Both are in very critical condition, the sources said.

Preliminary indications are that the husband answered the door and was shot multiple times; the son came running to the door and was shot as well before the gunman fled, the sources said. Judge Salas was believed to be in the basement at the time of the shooting.

Rep John Lewis, Congressman Who Led Partisan Boycott of Trump Inauguration, Dies Age 80…

Georgia Democrat Congressman John Lewis, 80, the leader of the 2017 Democrat agenda to boycott the inauguration of President Trump, died last night from pancreatic cancer.

On January 13, 2017, representative John Lewis (D-GA) stated President-elect Donald Trump was “not a legitimate president” and led 70 congressional members to boycott the inauguration.

WASHINGTON – Rep. John R. Lewis, the civil rights icon whose fight for racial justice began in the Jim Crow south and ended in the halls of Congress, died Friday night.

The Georgia lawmaker had been suffering from Stage IV pancreatic cancer since December. He was 80.

The son of Alabama sharecroppers, Lewis served in Congress for more than three decades, pushing the causes he championed as an original Freedom Rider challenging segregation, discrimination and injustice in the Deep South – issues reverberating today in the Black Lives Matter movement. (read more)
